marcille deserves so much credit for not bullying senshi more before he got over his superstitions around magic. Imagine going to college and spending years learning how to write magical formulae down quickly and accurately, understanding how it all works, hand-braiding your living magical focus out of twigs and feeding it your energy to keep it alive. And you're at the point where you can start cookfires in a survival setting without anything but a writing implement. only to have some smelly vagrant tell you you're being lazy because you're not using flint and tinder. i love senshi don't get me wrong and i love this part of his character arc but i also would not have blamed marcille for lighting his beard on fire when he said that you know what i mean
