Downed Power Lines Shut Down I-680, Both Directions In Fremont, Milpitas – CBS San Francisco

FREMONT (CBS SF) — Downed power lines forced the shutdown of Interstate 680 in both directions, in Fremont.
The closure is between Scott Creek in Fremont and Jacklin Road in Milpitas. According to the traffic incident report, the lines were “sparking.”
CHP issued a sig alert around 10 p.m. No word on how long the roadway will stay closed.
Drivers should avoid the area.
