DPxDC Prompt
As the Ancient of Balance Danny's job is to keep existence itself in balance and prevent the very fabric of space and time from unraveling. At that level of thinking the small things begin to fall under the radar, after all what is one single life worth compared to all of the life in the multiverse combined past, present and future?
Danny has come to terms with the fact he couldn't save everyone, he has seen that there is life beyond Earth and that Humans aren't the center of everything. Heck there are some universes in which Humans don't even exist and an entirely different species has taken their niche. But regardless of that, he is still half human and still relates to the struggle of survival they face the strongest out of any species.
Maybe that is why his children chose the paths they did.
As a being of Balance his children inherited the need to keep that balance as well, but in different ways. Klarion for example chose to pursue Chaos, as without it the balance would fall stagnant and collapse. Trigon though, he chose Control, he wishes to take control of everything to have complete say in all that occurs so that the balance will never tip because he says so. Nabu went another direction and chose Order, because far too much unrestrained Control and Chaos would tip the Balance.
That isn't all his children, but you get the picture.
You see they all chose a path and Concept to support their father, and whether purposefully or not they all slowly gravitated to Earth and the humans that inhabit it. Earth while not the center of the universe, or even the multiverse, became a hub for the beings that held enough power to make the fabric or reality bend and fray. The more and more of his children that gathered into a single dimension and onto a single planet, the more weight the fabric of reality was carrying and little by little it would leave a mark.
Danny saw this as he watched his children use a version of his previous home as playground and even when the Earth's own defenders, The Justice League, showed again and again they had the ability to defend themselves, Danny knew. He would have to step in soon, his children have grown too negligent of the Balance and they were now tipping the Balance far too often for his liking.
It was bound to happen eventually, Danny would have to leave his Observatory and travel to Earth, after all his son Marvel had fused with a new host recently and the young human had been seeped into his families aura enough that it was only a matter of time that he became a Demigod. Whether he remained to Marvel or not, he would be Danny's son soon too and it was about time they meet.

jing yuan would be such a particular flavor of yandere, he really would stack every card against you. he'd destabilize you from a distance. some horrible circumstantial loss of your home, job, a hemorrhaging of a social circle you relied on. it is easier to pick up a stray when its both friendly and hungry.
jing yuan waits to swoop into your life. he orchestrates a number of interviews that fail, stressful night's out which end with you flinching at every shadow you see. once you're frayed and losing hope? then he will offer a hand. barely. he's the general, only what he could write off as proper. perhaps an afternoon cup of tea? he does like to know about the wellbeing of the denizens of the luofu. he has a garden he keeps, full of fat sparrows, he'd be happy to show you if you have time.
it's comfort he means to provide. he has stripped you of what little you had before. what remains is all fragments, hardly there, but good building blocks for what he'd like you to be. jing yuan knows this is cruel. he knows the game he is playing is at your expense, and he does not lie to himself about this fact.
jing yuan does hope, however, that perhaps you will be more content under his thumb. not as a card in his hand, a piece on a board, but a lover at his side when circumstance has left him alone and old. he thinks you'll like it, maybe. that you could if you only trusted him and never thought to hard about the events that led you to be perched so close to him, ensnared.

So we had a lot of 4halo moments today/yesterday but this one was my favorite (I’m gonna paraphrase slightly so this isn’t word-to-word):
Dapper, on a sign: Bye uncle Forever! Even if Dad won’t admit it, he’ll be the one who misses you the most!
Forever, who was very clearly looking at both signs: *turning to Richarlyson* Ooooo~
Bad, flustered after reading the sign: No, nO, NO, NO, NO! Ignore that! Ignore that!
Forever, probably lying: What?? What was written on the sign?? Oh, I didn’t see it!
Bad, also lying: It was- It was just- It was just something Dapper was trying to tell me about the weather!
And like, that’s cute by itself but what I think people didn’t hear is that before Bad has even finished lying about nonexistent rain, Forever goes and says “Ohhh, yeah, it’s hot in here, right?”
Which. I mean cmon.
Like. Cmon.

in this episode Imogen:
Took off her circlet. You know, that one that finally gave her peace and quiet, that soothed her constant pain and anxiety, and that gave her the confidence and energy to get back to fully feeling comfortable on her own skin after years. That’s the one. She just took it off.
Told laudna that she was disgusted by the fact that delilah was always watching them. You know, something that laudna fully has no control over whatsoever.
Admitted that she felt like she’s “tainted” and that the gods have been ignoring her for her entire life, in spite of her trying over and over to reach them. So she doesn’t really want to save them.
Mentioned being genuinely scared of meeting Liliana again. Totally not a problem, I’m sure nothing bad will happen there. Specially not in the next couple of episodes.
Said some unfair stuff to fearne, that I genuinely think is coming from somewhere else entirely, and I hope we circle back to eventually.
It’s safe to say that I am officially ✨worried✨ about the farmgirl

Thinking about how Alastor told Adam that "you should know better than anyone what a soul can accomplish when they take charge of their own fate".
Thinking about how a huge part of Alastor's character is being in control, whether it be controlling situations, people, outcomes, and deals.
Thinking about how his deal, how it limits his powers and actions and choices, how it is all about taking control away from him. Not just control he used to have, but specifically control over his life.
If Alastor's powers and his ego all stems from him taking control of his fate, it's no wonder that he's breaking under the pressure of upholding the deal. It's taking everything from him, forcing him to be a puppet for someone else's schemes.
Thinking about how Alastor had no choice but to defend the hotel and fight Adam, and it was only when he was wounded that he could leave, but he nearly died. How Alastor was confronted with the utter, painful lack of control he has over his fate, over whether he lives or dies.
