Can one story/or your headcanon about Mr. Nakamura, Ethan's father.
I want to know at least something about him.
He is my groundlessly favorite character.
ONE?!
Okay ngl Mr Nakamura is a completely different person depending on what song I listen to when I daydream, how close I am to crying at any given moment and the phase of the moon but I will try to find some commonality among hcs:
IDK why but I always call him Daisuke when I write about him in a fic. I know I got the idea from someone but I can't for the life of me remember who.
He's vaguely religious in the sense that he does believe there is a god/higher power, he just doesn't funnel that belief into worship of any kind.
He comes from a fairly humble background. I do not believe for a second Nemesis would have let her child be raised by some spoon-fed nepo baby who's never known a day of struggle, she probably thought being graced with the opportunity to raise her a child soldier was enough repayment for the horrors of being a working-class POC in America.
So yeah he has a pretty strong work ethic and is a hard taskmaster which did translate into Ethan's upbringing a bit.
He's a second-gen immigrant, his parents were from the countryside near Osaka and moved back when he was in his twenties but he stayed where he was because he had already put down roots there.
He was fairly young when Nemesis presented him with Ethan, think early to mid-twenties (in fact, a little similar to Luke's age by the time TLO rolled around :,D).
When he was younger he was a little wild, kind of like a lo-fi frat bro. He mellowed out a bit after he got Ethan, not because he was all "okay I'm a parent now time to get serious" but just because having a child (especially a demigod child) was so draining he just didn't have the energy to go crazy on drinks every other night.
Speaking of his transition into parenthood, it was not a smooth one.
My man didn't know fuck about shit when it came to raising a child. He's that meme of the dad carrying his child out of the water by its ankle.
As for why Ethan didn't appear to be living with him during his time in the series, I hc that either Mr Nakamura kicked the bucket sometime before Ethan's stay at camp due to a monster attack that resulted in a stayr finding Ethan and bringing him to camp, or Nemesis caused Ethan to leave home so he could go Fulfil His Destiny while his dad sits twiddling his thumbs at home until he doesn't comes back.
Of course it all depends on how angsty I'm feeling in the moment and poor Mr Nakamura has had at least a few dozen deaths in my head but this is just a quick rundown on some of my favourite hcs

My fiancé is a son of Ares. His mother, a Marine who caught the eye of the God of War, named him Ajax Joshua after two great warriors (a hero of the Trojan War and the victor of the Battle of Jericho respectively). To hear him tell it, he developed feelings for me long before I returned them. He could’ve fooled me, just because I never saw him treat me differently than any other girl at camp. It’s the weird thing with Ares kids; by the time you can even tell they like you they are already head over heels.
Since my mama was a soldier herself (one of the things Jax and I have in common), I always had a conversation starter with the Ares kids. It led to a couple good friendships and many friendly acquaintances over my time at CHB. Clarisse was one, especially since she’s dating my brother. When her and I would go out to practice our sparring or our javelin/knife throwing technique, Jax would sometimes join. That was how we first became friends. At the time, I was really getting over Luke’s betrayal and- I don’t think I’ve ever been so open about this with people outside my closest friends and family- I had major feelings for Ethan Nakamura. He was my first kiss, come to think of it. So, yeah, my damn Titan War Era was real great. I was doing super well.
Anyway, back to Ajax. It was a slow burn, happened over the course of three years, but the more time we spent together, the more I realized how much we had in common. He’s an East Tennessee boy, a real hillbilly like me y’all, and we loved our mountains and any activity that got us out in the thick of it. I was still navigating grief, but I was actually starting to trust him with all my deepest wishes and fears and hopes…. It just felt easy, even though he was a bit rough around the edges.
It would all go down when I was around 15 and we had a fun little challenge at camp (for context, Jax was born in January and I was born in December of the same year, so he was 16). It was a hike/scavenger hunt race through the CHB woods and each partner pair would have to successfully find several things and get back fastest to win. Of everyone participating, Jax and I knew each other the best, so we partnered up. Long story short, we ended up way off course and by the time I realized it we had gotten pretty tired. We decided to sit down for a minute, and that minute turned into a couple hours of conversation. I told him things I haven’t even told some of my siblings, and then he held me when I cried. I just looked up and kissed him on the lips. We went into the woods as friends then came out as boyfriend and girlfriend. We both looked at Clarisse and she just said “Took you both long enough”. I don’t believe she just meant the hike.

Later on, an EW officer calls "Plan Delta" for a heavy Soviet bomber strike supported by jammers.
Attack Pattern Alpha: "Rules of Engagement - Option Bravo," which means conventional weapons only, much to Morris' relief.
It's a sort of exaggerated expy of the contemporary F-117 Nighthawk, which could not be accurately depicted due to the details about it being heavily classified at the time.
The F-19 Ghost Rider, a super-capable American stealth fighter, is the major technological break from reality.
Still, compared to many other techno-thrillers, this one tried hard to be accurate.

Artistic License – Military: Averted in many respects, but certain aspects of the Soviet strategy (e.g., invading Iceland, declining use of chemical weapons due to East German opposition) were more or less contrived for plot reasons.
Armor-Piercing Question: Toward the end of the book, Mikhail Sergetov blows his stack at the obstinacy of the Politboro dismissing what he's been telling them, which he learned from his son, who is serving at the front and after giving them a The Reason You Suck speech, asks where their sons are: "Where are the Communists here?".
Anyone Can Die: while none of the main characters die, let's face it: you really didn't expect most of Edward's squad or both the Boston and the Providence to buy it, did you?.
Most notably, Mikhail Sergetov, who is at the very least a fellow traveler in the Politburo's war crimes.
Anti-Villain: Any of the Soviet characters.
His successor, the former CINC-Southwest and Alekseyev's boss, is given a poignant parting when his plans are ruined and he faces arrest by the KGB, and the last Alekseyev sees of him is his empty holster as he leaves the command tent.
For a politically motivated General Failure, CINC-West dies "a soldier's death," shooting at the American bombers that end up killing him, with a machine-gun.
After that NATO's air strategy changes accordingly. It's not really a factor until the retaking of Iceland and the capture of Major Chapeyev, which is when the Americans learn about it.
Achilles' Heel: the entire Soviet Army has one in its fuel shortage.
Ace Pilot: USAF Major Amelia Nakamura, who shoots down three Soviet bombers and two Soviet recon satellites to earn her "Ace" status.
A spiritual successor to the MicroProse game, called Cold Waters, has been developed by Killerfish Games. Another fan-made campaign was also made for Ghost Recon in 2010. Sonalysts liked it so much they put it on an extras disc in the European edition.

In more recent years, a fan made it into a free campaign for the naval game Dangerous Waters. The book was made into a submarine simulation game by Sid Meier and MicroProse in 1988. except the KGB, which is pretty much rotten to the core. No-one's evil and no-one's driven by hatred or vengeance, people are just following orders and doing their jobs. It makes for an odd read as the same events are told through opposing view points but makes for a much more effective look at war. Certainly the Communist government is pretty evil, but mostly outside them and definitely all the actual soldiers are shown to be equally heroic and just doing their jobs. Somewhat uniquely among Clancy's work we aren't really supposed to be taking sides. It's not 100% accurate, with Bond and Clancy making some alterations to the scenario to stop the thing turning into a nuke-fest e.g., the Soviets deciding not to use chemical weapons, which NATO would have interpreted as a license to go nuclear and also having the Soviets place their boomers in their territorial seas to free up their submarines for anti-convoy missions (there was a dispute among Western analysts as to the point of the Soviet sub fleet, so they chose one of the two options).

Starts the series as a Red Army captain and receives a Field Promotion to major. Captain Ivan Mikhailovich Sergetov, SA - Mikhail Eduardovich's son and Alekseyev's aide-de-camp.Another of the major Soviet characters and mainly provides a point-of-view from the Soviet political side. Mikhail Eduardovich Sergetov - Candidate (nonvoting) Member of the Soviet Politburo and Energy Minister.

Love the implication that his regular jiu-jitsu place heard “So we’d like to drop by with a camera crew and film Shinsuke rolling around sweaty and grappling and roundhouse kicking to remind everybody the world’s most beautiful killing machine works here” and they were just like
*salutes* It’s a noble cause
