Hey just coming to say as a bi person please please please do not equate “gay” and “queer” to be the same thing. Gay attraction and queer attraction is not synonymous. All my attraction is queer. None of it is gay. I am not gay, but I absolutely am queer, and so is my attraction. Please do not make the two the same thing and erase god-knows how many people who are queer but not gay.
I absolutely appreciate the attempt to be inclusive, but if this is how you’re going to do it, you’re just going to end up being exclusive towards those who aren’t both. I get erased as a “semi-gay” enough as it is.
Apakenic: A KEIN (kenochoric-in-nature) gender related to apathy.
Apakenic does not typically refer to gender apathy, and instead refers to apathy itself in some form. It may be related to one’s own apathy, in which case it could be considered a neurogender, such as for people with depression, ASPD, or otherwise. Due to this, it could result in one’s identity in general being “dulled,” or otherwise affected, but this doesn’t have to be the case.
Alternatively, it may be related to the concept of apathy itself. It is important to keep in mind that apakenic does not need to be empty, or genderless, only apathetic or related to apathy as a concept.
Okay, so we’ve got an overwhelming majority on two out of the four flags, so I’m cutting out options one and two from the first post. These are the remaining options:
There’s no difference in meaning between the white or black stripes, the decision is purely for the aesthetic.
This flag is for identities under the agender umbrella: specifically, nonbinary, agender, demigender, and genderfluid. I have my issues with the current agender flag, so that’s why I’m remaking it into this one.
I’ll make a full post with meanings and symbolism once I’ve narrowed it down to one.
If you’re in one of these groups, I would greatly appreciate your feedback. However, you don’t need to be one of those groups to vote, nor do you have had to vote on the first post to get to have a say in this one. I’d love to hear from you guys!
