Meanwhile during the whole scene I had a vivid flashback to when I was dating this cute British-Japanese guy and the first time he invited me to his apartment I noticed a framed picture of his WW2 soldier great-grandfather on the wall, recognised the guy his great-grandpa was standing at ceremony with to be Prince Asaka, realised there was a good chance his grandpa was part of the Nanjing Massacre that my great-grandmother only survived by hiding underneath her father's corpse, and promptly left his apartment without explanation then never talked to him again

his dying thought was that he wanted to go outside one last time. and so the King of Whimsy appeared before him and granted his wish. he became a Prince of Miracles.

Luquier had thought after their last encounter that night she’d never see this guy again, let alone so far away from the palace. Though, she should have predicted the possibility considering the beast she had tamed by pure accident. The fact it happened at all was still surprising to the young vampire assassin. In all her years she’s never seen a High Beast abandon their master, especially when they were facing down an enemy.

Then again, this noble idiot wasn’t much of a master, was he? That much was evident by the pathetic tone lacing his words. He might be trying to act tough, but she could see it in this wine-red eyes of his that he was upset beyond belief she stole his dear canine away. Serves him right for what he put her through that night. The fact he’s not a dead corpse right now was a blessing Luquier was giving him considering he wasn’t her target at the moment. No need to waste her energy when no payment was to be delivered after.

Besides, she’s sure he’ll be up for bounty again eventually. It seems like with all the trouble he causes and gets into, he’s a walking target for assassins and mercenaries. Noble vampires had no use for weaklings among their ranks. In fact, she’s heard a rumor the only reason the current prince of the vampires was still alive was because of his rare royal blood. Guess he’ll be an easy target if some vampire or human wants to stage a coup of some kind, something Luquier suspects will be the case at some point in the future.

Vampires...Humans...They all just loved getting into fights with each other for power. And while she has a preference towards the idea of the humans winning, regardless of which side wins she is sure she’ll benefit from it. With both sides hating each other, she’ll always have clientele, after all. As long as she had that, she'll continue to further her own position in the world. That was all that really mattered, anyway.

“Is that so? Well, I guess you won’t be needing your precious beast back, will you Lord Idiot?” The assassin smirks, petting the beast she had learned was called Fullbau’s head. She was enjoying seeing this idiot squirm. It was almost as satisfying as beating him to a pulp. 

Almost.

“You take can your leave now that your business here is finished.” She assumes he was just here to try and get his dog back, after all. Why else would he willingly seek out someone who was hired to kill him before? “Be grateful you’re not my target today. You might not be so fortunate the next time our paths cross.”

"That doesn't matter," said Princess Asaka. "Everyone thinks you're doing it because of me, and that makes it your problem as well as mine, and I expect you to do something about it."

So the first character is Enoch. He was the first mortal to unlock the ability bestowed upon him through the influence of Fenian’s fragmented soul. He marries Prince Silas and rules Aclos until his death.

The second is Asaka. He’s a main character in taking down Snow, the leader of Whitewater Institute. His backstory is wild as hell and I love him so much.

The pink woman is Rania, Goddess of Lust, Love, and Relationships (Romantic). She enjoys fucking with mortal men and has actually birthed the most demi-gods of any God

The winged character is Professor Summer Rose. She’s a professor at Vahorn, teaching and training mostly support students. Her ability is called Angel’s Blessing.

The last character is Kumo. Their ability is Warp, and they’re one of the main characters in taking down Snow, their main job being Protect Meryn (Snow’s target, as Meryn is descendant from Eineril, the Primordial God of Death and Snow is descended from Tedius, the Primordial God of Order. There’s a whole beef lmfao)

The Nanjing Massacre (simplified Chinese: 南京大屠杀; traditional Chinese: 南京大屠殺; pinyin: Nánjīng Dàtúshā, Japanese: 南京大虐殺, romanized: Nankin Daigyakusatsu) or the Rape of Nanjing (formerly romanized as Nanking[note 2]) was the mass murder of Chinese civilians in Nanjing, the capital of the Republic of China, immediately after the Battle of Nanking in the Second Sino-Japanese War, by the Imperial Japanese Army.[2][3][4][5] Beginning on December 13, 1937, the massacre lasted six weeks.[note 1] The perpetrators also committed other war crimes such as mass rape, looting, and arson. The massacre is considered one of the worst atrocities of World War II.[6][7][8]

The Japanese army had pushed quickly through China after capturing Shanghai in November 1937. By early December, it was on the outskirts of Nanjing. The speed of the army's advance was likely due to commanders allowing looting and rape along the way. As the Japanese approached, the Chinese army withdrew the bulk of its forces since Nanjing was not a defensible position. The civilian government of Nanjing fled, leaving the city under the de facto control of German citizen John Rabe, who had founded the International Committee for the Nanking Safety Zone. On December 5, Prince Yasuhiko Asaka was installed as Japanese commander in the campaign. Whether Asaka ordered the Rape, or simply stood by as it happened, is disputed, but he took no action to stop the carnage.

The massacre began on December 13, the day the Japanese troops reached the city. They faced little resistance and ran entirely unchecked. Chinese soldiers were summarily executed in violation of the laws of war, and looting and rape was widespread. Due to multiple factors, death toll estimates vary from 40,000 to over 300,000, with rape cases ranging from 20,000 to over 80,000 cases. However, most credible scholars in Japan, which include a large number of authoritative academics, support the validity of the International Military Tribunal for the Far East and its findings, which estimate at least 200,000 murders and at least 20,000 cases of rape. The massacre finally wound down in early 1938. John Rabe's Safety Zone was mostly a success, and is credited with saving at least 200,000 lives. After the war, multiple Japanese military officers and Kōki Hirota, former Prime Minister of Japan and foreign minister during the atrocities, were found guilty of war crimes and executed. Some other Japanese military leaders in charge at the time of the Nanjing Massacre were not tried only because by the time of the tribunals they had either already been killed or committed seppuku (ritual suicide). Prince Asaka, as part of the Imperial Family, was granted immunity and never tried.

The massacre has remained a wedge issue between modern China and Japan. Historical revisionists and nationalists in Japan have been accused of minimizing or denying the massacre. Verse Summery

A very long time ago on a Planet called Cray, the nation of United Sanctuary was founded by one King named Alfred, who with his three knights (one clad in jewels, one clad in shadows, and one clad in gold) and his holy dragon united the various clans (Genesis, Royal paladin, Shadow paladin, Oracle Think Tank, Angel Feather, and GoldPaladin) together under one banner. When the King died, the three knights swore to always be loyal to him and pass down their swords till the day they could reunited with their King. As for the holy dragon, it vowed to be reborn as many times as needed, always watching over the royal family. Little did anyone know that each reincarnation would be in the form of a human with beautiful bright blue slitted pupils eyes.

Currently, the prince of the United sanctuary and heir to the throne held by King Ahmes  is a boy named Aichi, a sheltered, physically weak but intelligent child who has never once picked up a sword. He lives in the palace comfortably alongside his father, mother, and younger sister Emi. His only friends include Kai, his childhood friend and bodyguard, Misaki his engaged fiancé and chlilhood friend who he doesn’t want to marry whatsoever, and Leon, the heir to the nation of Megalonica who comes to visit quite often. Aichi looked up to Leon a lot, and thought of him as the perfect prince, someone he wished he could be more like.

On the eve of his sixteenth birthday, Aichi finds out Leon has murdered his father and seized the castle, taking the queen and princess hostage, and claiming his nation, led by the Aqua Force Clan, will usurp control over the United Sanctuary. Kai, following the late orders of his King, takes Aichi away along with Blaster Blade, the king's sword. Running is their only option since Kai knows Leon will want to kill Aichi to gain access to the throne. Though, in their pursuit Aichi and Kai are assumed dead, and after convincing the queen and Emi to be banished in exchange for giving up their titles so they can live on, Leon is crowed king.

Eventually, they find a messenger of Messiah, the goddess of Cray, named Takuto, who tells Aichi that in order to reclaim his kingdom, he will need the power of those descendants of the legendary heroes who served under the original King of the sanctuary and the sanctuary’s legendary holy dragon Thing Saver Dragon. He also asks him to take an orphan girl he took in, a self-proclaimed cute and beautiful genius named Rekka, along with them on their journey. 

So, three of them venture off in search of the legendary knights and the holy dragon, all the while trying to help the people of the land and grow as individuals along the way.
