Mysticons Rudick's Hollow Episode
The Mysticons are helping Arkayna and Zarya get ready for a visit with another royal family from a nearby kingdom. While Zarya isn't excited about the visit, Arkayna is. She says that she embarrassed herself in front of them last time they met, and is determined to look like a poised and mature princess. She also says that impressing the other royal family would help with developing good relations between the two kingdoms, especially since after Gawayne's rule, the new family doubts how the kingdom is run. Just then, Em gets a call from Malachite, who tells them that there have been more cave-ins at the mines lately, and asks if the Mysticons could investigate. Queen Goodfey hears about this and tells Arkayna and Zarya that it's their choice. Arkayna decides to stay, and her and Em get into an argument about choosing a random royal family over Rudick's Hollow, while Arkayna points out how the problem at the mine doesn't seem like a Mysticon problem, as engineers might be more helpful, but she does have a duty as a princess. The fight escalates, with Em calling Arkayna selfish and Arkayna saying it was better when Em didn't try telling her what to do. The other Mysticons leave with Em.
The Mysticons, except Arkayna, get to Rudick's Hollow, and Citrine greets them and asks where Arkayna is. Piper says that she was tied up with other business. Citrine reveals that Eartha was helping with a recent cave-in, but they lost contact with her. As they are leaving to investigate, Sharise asks if they should call Arkayna to update her on what has happened. Em says that Arkayna made it clear that she's choosing a judgmental royal family over those who care for her, so there's no point in calling her. Piper is surprised with how angry Em is, and Zarya says she can see it, as Rudick's Hollow is Em's home, so the fact that Arkayna's not helping protect it, along with what she said during the argument, could have got to Em.
They get to the cave which was an abandoned mine that the miners wanted reopened due to a discovery of a new mineral, and see the Vexicons, incluing Eartha with a red band around her wrist. Em asks for answers, and after talking with Eartha, it is clear she's been brainwashed. Kasha says that it's a shame that not all the Mysticons came, but Mallory says that they'll get Arkayna soon. Eartha also brings up how, not only did they know the Mysticons would come, but also by destroying the valley by collapsing the mines, they can get revenge on Rudick's Hollow for making her think her home is there, not with them. A fight ensues, and the Mysticons are captured, and Willa steals their phones.
Meanwhile, Arkayna is finishing being dressed for the visit when she gets a call, apparently from Zarya. She answers it, and it's Mallory. She taunts Arkayna for leaving the Mysticons to go into a dangerous situation while she's getting all dressed up, like a spoiled princess. Arkayna, realizing that the Mysticons must be in danger if Mallory has Zarya's phone, and hurries to Rudick's Hollow. She tries to call the other Mysticons, but there's no answer. When she gets to Em's voicemail, she apoligizes for being such a bad friend.
Back at Rudick's Hollow, the other Mysticons are working on getting out of the prison. Piper brings up how she honestly didn't think someone was intentionally causing a cave-in, making Em realize that Arkayna had a point about someone else being well-suited to figure out what's going on, as it may have simply been the mines themselves growing weaker, or faulty beams. They do manage to get out, but Zarya accidently activates a trap, causing the part of the mine they are in to cave in. Em using her mech suit to hold beams for longer, and while the other Mysticons don't want to leave her, Em promises she'll be fine, and that she'll escape once everyone else is out.
Arkayna reaches the cave just as Sharise, Piper, and Zarya are leaving. They tell Arkayna that Em choose to stay until they can escape, and Arkayna rushes into the mine to make sure Em gets out of there. Arkayna sees Em's mech suit damaged, and manages to save her. However, they have to leave the mech suit behind.
Once everyone is out of the mine, Em notices the Vexicons, and says that they have to save Eartha. The Mysticons follow, but before they can catch up to them, Willa teleports them away. Malachite comes, and asks if everyone is safe. Upon hearing about the cave in, he says that while the cave-in blocking the mine is unfortunate, it wouldn't hurt the valley, and that now that the Vexicons are chased out, the valley would be safe.
On the way back to Drake City, Arkayna apoligizes for putting a random family before those that really care for her. The others forgive her, and Arkayna notices that Em looks disheartened about Eartha. Arkayna offers to make her some hot chocolate and talk about ways to bring Eartha back if she wants, and Em asks about the visit. Arkayna says that saving Eartha is more important. Piper asks if the visitors will agree, and Arkayna admits that they probably wouldn't, but their opinions don't matter anymore.

The draw of family and the quest for knowledge
Tumblr media
The Simpsons family tree as shown in 1991, in the show's first season, as noted by the editor of Tedium, Ernie Smith in 2015.
There are many shows which focus on families, especially when it comes to animation. Some characters have "non-traditional" families like Philip J. Fry, Steven Universe, and Hilda in the series of the same name. At the same time, a number of animated shows have characters reflect on their families. In The Owl House, Luz fears her mother judging her for being "inadequate" for living in a magical realm rather than "going to camp," while Aja and Krel try to bring their mom and dad back from the edge of death in the series, 3Below: Tales of Arcadia. Similarly, Iris in LoliRock misses her family in Ophedia, while there are family tensions in Mysticons, especially between Arkayna Goodfey and her brother Gawayne,  broken families of Reggie Abbott in Twelve Forever and Judy Reilly in Human Kind Of. At the same time, there are startling family discoveries in many animated series, like Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths and Legends, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Sherwood, Adventure Time, OK K.O.: Let's Be Heroes!, Final Space, and Mr. Robot. I may write about some of these shows in the future in a post about shows with family historyish themes. Additionally, Cleopatra "Cleo" in Cleopatra in Space and "Jack" in Samurai Jack miss their families as they have both been flung far into the future. Other characters openly explore their past and want to find their roots, their ancestry, like Carmen in the series Carmen Sandiego, and Sprig and Polly in Amphibia. This article focuses on two other examples: Adora, the protagonist of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and Lisa Simpson, the protagonist in The Simpsons.
Reprinted from my Genealogy in Popular Culture WordPress blog. Originally published on August 12, 2020.
Let's start with Adora. After Shadow Weaver, who was her surrogate mother and disciplinarian when growing up in the Fright Zone, informs her, in the Season 3 episode "The Price of Power," that she is not from Etheria, she freaks out, while her friends don't believe it. Flying to the Crystal Castle, she demands answers from her pseudo-teacher, Light Hope. She shocks Adora, when she reports that Adora was taken out of a portal and onto Etheria by the leader of the villainous Horde, Hordak, and is one of the planet's first settlers, called The First Ones. She then wonders if Etheria is even her home and worries about the birth family she was taken from. Light Hope cares little about this and ignores it, acting like it isn't a big deal, even though it is! Adora proceeds to have a bit of an identity crisis as a result. Unfortunately, this subject is dropped and is not a focus of the show until later in the show. Adora learns, in the final episode of season 4, "Destiny Part 2," the real history: that Light Hope brought her to Etheria, finding her across the cosmos, bringing her to the planet. This still raises the question: who are Adora's birth parents? That is not answered by the end of the show, with the last season bringing the story to an end and bringing her relationship with Catra to a dramatic conclusion. However, perhaps she will meet her parents when journeying across the galaxy (or universe) with Catra, Bow, Glimmer, and possibly Entrapta, as they plan space adventures in the show's last episode. In the same show, there is another non-traditional family, the one of Scorpia. She has two moms, who are featured in the episode "Princess Scorpia." While they, sadly, do not appear in any other episodes, they clearly mean a lot to Scorpia, as does her grandfather.
Next is Lisa Simpson. The episode "The Color Yellow" begins delving into the family history of herself and her immediate family. She gets a school assignment to research her family tree, with Lisa finding out that most of her ancestors awful and not "heroic," with her grandpa, Grandpa Abe Simpson, not giving any further hints. Searching through the attic, she finds "The Diary of Eliza Simpson" and is shocked to learn the Simpson family descended from those that owned slaves, the story that Eliza helped the slave of Colonel Burns, Virgil, escape to freedom. Unfortunately, their dog destroys the book accidentally, at the urging of Lisa's mom, Marge, so they go to the library, with her and her mom learning that Eliza and Virgil got home, with Eliza's father saying that he would help Virgil go to freedom. After presenting this to her school, Milhouse says that a diary from one of ancestors shows that Eliza was cowardly. Lisa is outraged by this and rejects what he says, travels to the library and finds an oral history interview with Eliza saying she had one regret, that she held her tongue when she witnessed a  "great injustice." Forlorn by this, she gives up, with Grandpa telling her the whole story, that Colonel Burns surrenders, with Mabel, the mother of Eliza, bringing Virgil to freedom, and they cross the Canadian border. Later, Mabel marries Virgil, and divorces Hiram, naming their child Abraham, who is the great-grandfather of Abe Simpson, meaning that their part of the Simpson family descends from Virgil, not Hiram. Overjoyed by this, Lisa declares that they are 1/64 black, with Abe saying he kept the secret because those in his generation are racist, and Marge does not know why it is big deal because no one cared that her father was French. Homer absurdly declares that this the reason he likes drinking a lot, with Marge reminding she has French ancestry, not him, but he ignores this.
The Simpsons is a more interesting case than She-Ra. The family, is many ways, very traditional, with some talk about the Irish roots they have in other episodes, as shown on Frinkiac. Miss Cellania over at Mental Floss cited the show, while talking about family trees in other shows like Bewitched, Donald Duck, Lord of the Rings, and a number of other awful shows/franchises which I'm not even going to mention or ever write about this blog, ever, along with a couple I don't know.
That's all for this week. I have some other posts about the family tree in Outlander, in the comic book world, and some other topics. As always, comments are welcome!

The Elven Circus, Chapter One - Arrival
The buzzing and modern metropolis, known as Drake City, was full of excited children, in all shapes and sizes. Today was the day that a circus, otherwise known as “The Elven Circus”, would be arriving soon to Magi Mall. Everyone was excited to see the wonders and amazement of this circus, as it was told to be the greatest performance of a lifetime. A line that was as long as a mile was waiting at the entrance of Magi Mall. It was full of citizens, talking excitedly as they waited patiently for the circus to arrive. At the front of this line, were the princesses of Drake City themselves, Princess Arkayna Goodfey and Princess Zarya Moonwolf Goodfey. With them were their two friends, noble dwarf Emerald Goldenbraid, and bubbly elf Piper Willowbrook, who was probably the most excited citizen out of all of the line.
Piper was bouncing up and down, excitedly chattering about her knowledge of the circus to her friends. She was telling them everything, from the elven clown performances, to the ferocious yet adorable tiger foz. Not to mention the ribbon twirlers. The hyper elf couldn't help herself. She was excited to show her friends everything that she did when she was younger and traveling with a circus. The sights and sounds, as well as the aromas of peanuts, popcorn and cotton candy, was everything that Piper loved about the circus.
“Oh, you guys are gonna love this! It's gonna be super fabtacular!” Piper excitedly claimed.
“So we've heard! I'm ready to get my hands on some cotton candy!” Em said, licking her lips.
“I can't wait to see the ribbon twirlers! So graceful and elegant, they move so smoothly and carefully!” Arkayna exclaimed, looking through images of the ribbon twirlers on her phone.
“I'm looking forward to those tiger foz. I bet they aren't so scary, right Choko?” Zarya asked the white and pink bundle of fur sitting upon her head, who chirped in response.
“Look! There's the ringmaster!" A little cat girl shouted, grabbing the line's attention.
Everyone looked up to see a large skyship, being controlled by an elf with black and gray hair. He parked the skyship at the center of the mall. He hopped down from the skyship, landing perfectly. He pulled a magic hat from his pocket and stuck his hand inside of it. He pulled out a megaphone and set the hat on top of his head.
"Ladies and gentlemen, orcs and fairies, are you ready for the performance of a lifetime?" The ringmaster asked with a smirk as he held the megaphone up to his mouth.
The crowd roared with cheers and screams, causing Piper to cover her ears.
"Ow! Can you not scream in my ears?" She said with a huff.
Once the crowd settled down, the ringmaster spoke once again.
"Are you ready to witness a circus unlike any other?" Isaac asked the crowd, causing everyone to shout in glee. He then pulled a little pod out of his pocket.
Isaac set the pod on the ground and pressed a button, causing it to shake and glow. The pod then shot out holograms of circus tents and concession stands that became real within seconds. Hundreds of elves hopped off of the skyship and ran to their places.
The crowd was filled with "oohs" and "ahs" as they watched the elves. A wide smile grew on Piper's face as she watched.
"I am Sir Isaac Dragonspark, the ringmaster of this circus! I hope you all have fun!" Isaac headed back to the skyship and looked out to the crowd. In an instant, he locked eyes with Piper's, their green eyes meeting. He looked away as he disappeared into the skyship.
Piper looked at her friends to see if they had seen the encounter, but they had already headed their separate ways into the circus.
Piper shrugged as she ran after her friends, yelling at them to wait for her.

A Whole Lot of Speculation about Gawayne and Arkayna’s Relationship
This turned into something way longer than I originally intended, but it all started with a thought I’ve had ever since The Coronation aired: what if Gawayne non-invited Arkayna not to be petty and get under her skin, but to keep her from stealing the spotlight, as she no doubt has countless times since they became stepsiblings.
Note: I wrote most of this before episode 11 aired (not that it super matters, since most of this is pre-show speculation)
Of course, he did do it at least a little bit to be petty.  After all, he claims that the best part of the whole party is that his stepsister will be upset that she isn’t invited, and checks in to make sure she’s suffering properly, and when she isn’t, he hits the final nail in the coffin, which is not, as one might assume, the cupcakes.
No, I fully believe that what really set Arkayna off was Gawayne’s comment, “you didn’t really amount to much, but maybe you can be my jester or something.”  And not just because that’s a fairly low blow, but because he’s throwing her own words back at her.  And she knows it.
Now, every single Arkayna profile mentions that she’s going to be queen someday, and judging from her interaction with her mom in the first episode, she’s very aware of that fact and what it will take to be queen.  So when her new stepbrother started getting uppity about his new status as a prince, without having put in all the years of training that she had, I’m sure Arkayna was quick to remind him that he’s not a true royal, and that she’s the one who will one day rule the realm.  Leading to her telling him, “you can be my jester” or some other similar comment.
So of course when Gawayne learns that he, in fact, will be king in their parents’ stead, is it any wonder he would lord it over her so obnoxiously?  And Arkayna’s Big No reaction is not just because her stepbrother is going to rule instead of her, but also because she knows, she knows that he’s going to give to her as bad as she ever gave to him.
But getting back to my original point.  At the actual coronation, after Arkayna as Dragon Mage has completely and utterly stolen the show and Gawayne storms out, he comments that the Dragon Mage is worse than his stepsiser, unaware that they’re one and the same.  So, Arkayna taking attention away from him, whether intentionally or unintentionally, must be a fairly common occurrence.  And from what we’ve seen in the show, I would not be surprised to learn this was the case.
Most Arkayna profiles also mention she has a strong sense of justice, but as it plays out on screen, she comes off more as self-righteous, only doing the good that benefits her specifically.  So, considering their contemptuous relationship, it’s easy to imagine that Arkayna would see Gawayne getting attention, think he doesn’t deserve it (whether he does or not), and do something about it.  And as she’s not only crown princess, but also had quite a bit of training to protect the dragon disk under her belt, it was probably all too easy to divert everyone’s eyes from her stepbrother to herself.  We got a taste of that with all her antics at the coronation, minus the magic, of course.
Lastly, we know that Queen Goodfey worked Arkayna hard and apparently was more lax with Gawayne’s training, though that may have more to do with the queen not being his real mom (I would not put it past Gawayne to pull that line on her) and him coming into the family later, thus the queen not having as much parental authority on him as she does on her daughter.  Nor does Gawayne have the same feelings of responsibility towards the dragon disk as the queen and her daughter.  Arkayna no doubt has been taught the importance of the disk, the new Mysticons, and her own role since she was very young, whereas Gawayne is only coming into this relatively recently (my headcanon is he was around 12 or 13 when his dad remarried).
As I’ve mentioned, Arkayna has more years of training than Gawayne, and while we only saw them riding griffins, there has to be more involved, if the point of the training was to protect the dragon disk.  So as far as Arkayna is concerned, Gawayne doesn’t deserve any attention or notoriety of any kind, since he hasn’t put in the work that she’s had to do.  And Gawayne, most likely, doesn’t understand that this is her mindset and only sees someone trying to steal his thunder for no good reason other than to be a jerk.  And so they clash and snipe at each other, without taking the time to think about things from the others’ perspective.  And honestly, I hope this is something the show will rectify.  We’re only a fourth of the way through the series, so there is still time for these two to get over themselves and try to find some common ground.

Mysticons Fan Season 6 Episode 1: The Return
Note: I know that I said the first episode of the fan season would be a Halloween episode, but as that episode would be Sharise focused, as were the first episodes of the last fan seasons (3 & 4 had her becoming a Mysticon, while 5 was her and Em going into the Spectral Hand's dimension) I thought I'd move it. If everything goes according to plan, it still should be ready by Halloween.
Arkayna and Zarya are called into the throne room. There is a royal ball going on, and Queen Goodfey asks them to help prepare for it. Arkayna and Zarya agree to do so. Darius thanks them before going off to run some errands. He is seen alone in the hallway, before a shadow grabs him by surprise.
The next day, Arkayna and Zarya are helping with the ball, and notice that neither Gawayne or Darius is helping. While they aren't surprised by Gawayne not helping, they are surprised to see Darius acting so cold towards them. Gawayne says that Darius probably realized how Arkayna and Zarya just think they're cool because of their powers, but Darius is starting to see just how lame they are. Neither Arkayna or Zarya believe that, so they go off to find what really happened.
The twins split up around the castle and begin looking for Darius, and Arkayna sees him going into the royal treasury, and he smirks when seeing Arkayna. She confronts him without calling Zarya for backup, thinking that, as Mysticon Dragon Mage, she can handle whatever Darius is doing. However, Darius is shown to have strong magical abilities, and quickly overpowers Arkayna.
Meanwhile, Piper, Em, and Sharise go to the palace, as Zarya and Arkayna are running late for their meeting. Zarya finds them, and tells them everything that happened. They begin looking for Arkayna, getting the attention of Queen Goodfey. When Queen Goodfey hears what happened, she uses palace security cameras to figure out that Darius took Arkayna away. However, they don't know where Darius took her.
Meanwhile, Arkayna is thrown into a cell with Darius. Both of them are confused to see each other. Mallock is standing outside the cell, and Arkayna quickly realizes that "Darius" was Mallock the whole time. Darius asks what he wants with them, and Mallock says that, for a certain project, he needs magic. As people would go save Arkayna or Zarya, all he had to do was capture her. So, when he heard that Darius dabbled in magic, he decided to use Darius to get to either one of the princesses. Arkayna asks about the royal treasury, and Mallock replies that he has other things he wants before leaving.
Arkayna transforms into Mysticon Dragon Mage. They manage to break the cell door, and Arkayna is surprised that Darius has magic. Darius admits that he was curious one day, and discovered he has powers. As they leave, Arkayna glyphs the girls to tell them where she is. However, strange dog-like creatures begin chasing after them, and as Arkayna and Darius run from the creatures, Arkayna drops her phone and the creatures step on it.
They find themselves in what looks to be a lab, and with no way out, they are forced to fight the creatures. Darius accidently bumps into a strange-looking machine during the fight, draining some of his energy before Arkayna breaks the machine. A creature is about to attack Arkayna, but Darius blocks it. Just then, the other Mysticons come, and they help with the fight and all of them manage to escape.
They return to the palace just in time for the ball, and Queen Goodfey is relieved to know that they're both fine, and that Darius never betrayed them. Meanwhile, Mallock notices that the magic stolen from the machine is still intact, and with the little bit that he stole from Darius, and says his plan to summon an unstoppable beast can still happen soon.

Did Zarya Have A Secret Reason to Make Kitty Her Admiral?
Zarya told Kitty that she wanted her to be her admiral so they could spend more time together. However, they do hang out (I mean, Kitty had time to play video games with Zarya, watch the Sky Lancers festival, and play a board game after). Also, if her reason was to hang out together, then she took Kitty leaving for months really easy. This makes me think that Zarya had some other motive.
I think that Zarya is afraid Queen Goodfey would reject Kitty if she was introduced as a sky pirate. After all, Arkayna had that view of Sky Pirates, so it's understandable to think that Queen Goodey would feel the same. So, if Kitty was her admiral, that would give Zarya a way to introduce Kitty. And, as Zarya seemed to believe that her mom and stepdad would be revived, Kitty meeting the parents would be something Zarya might thinkabout.
There is a possible reason why Zarya didn't just tell Kitty. She could feel that Kitty's feelings would be hurt if she mentioned the parents not accepting her for who she is, so Zarya avoided mentioning that, using time together as an excuse.
However, there are two problems with this theory. The first is that it would be very hard to justify the other pink skulls being there. The second is more meta. This would be perfect to an episode where the aesop is communication, but this idea wasn't included. Considering "The Princess and the Pirate" talked about communication issues, I don't see why this would be left out if intended.
In summary, I'm not sure if Zarya just wanted to hang out with Kitty more, or if she wanted to make Kitty look better for when it's time to introuduce her to her parents. Still, it was fun to think about.

Mysticons Crystal Episode
Note: This episode involves Myrtle and Millicent, characters from the chapter book "The Diamond Curse". In case you haven't read the books, they're ghostly sisters who value manners and etiquette, and were sucked into a diamond called the Draco Diamond that someone brought to the town. They ended up freeing themselves, and despite being enemies, eventually left the Mysticons on a positive note.
The Mysticons are at a public ball. While Sharise and Zarya are planning a way to leave, they hear Piper loudly call out to someone, and look. They see Myrtle and Millicent, and they, along with other Mysticons, go to greet them. While Millicent begins scolding Piper for her loudness, Arkayna says that's just the way she is, and she wouldn't change her. Just then, Myrtle gasps and points at another ghost, a male elf, dragging a giant diamond in. Millicent seems afraid of that person as well, and it's revealed that he's Birond, and he was the one who brought the Draco Diamond to the town in the first place.
They debate what to do, knowing that they can't fight against him without him doing anything wrong (there's no proof he knew what the Draco Diamond did, and it happened too long ago anyway). Still, Em points out how he's glaring at Myrtle and Millicent. He approaches them, saying that while he doesn't know how they managed to escape the diamond, he will trap them again. He leaves when other people begin to notice, and the Mysticons help the Murgatroyds escape the ball. Just as they thought they were far enough, they hear a scream. The Mysticons transform and run to investigate, and after some discussion, Myrtle and Millicent come as well. While going to the ball, they see people running the other direction. Millicent asks if they're worried about their identities being revealed, but Em says that everyone already knows that they're Mysticons.
Back at the ball, they notice that many of the people are gone. Queen Goodfey runs up to them, and she reveals that a ghostly male convinced the people at a ball to touch a strange diamond for good luck, and some people did and were sucked in, while others ran out of the ball. She reveals that Darius and Gawayne were of the people sucked into the diamond. While Piper brings up how them working together fixed the issue the first time, Sharise says that they're not sure whether or not the diamond Birond brought then is the same as the Draco Diamond.
They begin looking for Birond, hoping that once they find him, they'll be able to get more answers. They do, and a small fight ensues, and the Mysticons realize that they can fight him with magic. Arkayna guesses it's because he made it so he can move things around in the real world, and a drawback is that he can be affected by magic. During the fight, Birond says that he's surprised they're all working together well, especially since the Mysticons would be too ill-mannered for the stuck-up Murgatroyds, and how Arkayna probably looks down on the Mysticons, saying that she probably bossed them around at least once. Piper stands up for her, and Birond says how naive she is, and wonders if that will change when Zarya becomes more stuck-up as a princess. During the fight, the Mysticons are knocked into the diamond one at a time, and are sucked in.
Inside the diamond, they find everyone who was sucked into the diamond, including Darius. Darius reveals that he tried to break the diamon himself, but it wasn't working. Em asks about what the other people sucked in the diamond were doing at the time, and one of the people there said that they were not fighters, and couldn't break out of the diamond themselves. Arkayna points out how Birond seems against aristocracy, and targeted rich people to trap in the diamond, so perhaps that has something to do with it. Sharise comments on how they were just waiting for help, and Zarya guesses that everyone inside the diamond, or at least several of them, needs to try to get out. Arkayna tries to get everyone to help, but fails. The Mysticons and Darius try to break the diamond themselves, but it's not enough. Darius rallies the others again, reminding everyone that both he and Arkayna were raised as royalty, but they still take charge of their own lives. This helps everyone fight, and they manage to break the crystal.
Once they are outside the crystal, they see Myrtle and Millicet fighting against Birond. While they do fairly well, they are inexperienced with fighting, and are pushed to the side. The Mysticons help, and Birond is defeated. Em asks where Birond went, and the Murgatroyds assume that he was sent to another plane.
Queen Goodfey is relieved that everyone is out of the diamond, and is worried that the Mysticons were sucked in. She reveals that she was doing research on the diamond, and learn that if it was broken from the outside, it will hurt whoever was inside the diamond. Myrtle and Millicent guess that Birond was going to break the diamond, and Em wonders why he didn't earlier. Arkayna guesses that, like how he let the Murtagolds fight over the diamond and touch it themselves, he likes tricking the people he trapped, so maybe he wanted to keep them in the diamond for a little while. Sharise disagrees, guessing that maybe he was looking for more people to put in the diamond. Gawayne says it doesn't matter, as he was defeated. With that, the Murgatroyds leave, saying that the Mysticons are a little too exciting for them. When they're gone, Piper points out that the Murgatroyds were the ones who caused all the chaos on the Kirin train. The Mysticons laugh.

Can you do an episode where Tazma hired the Mysticon doppelgangers to frame Mysticons but Ender and his new recruits helped them to clear their names
a young male kappa with a giant frog a ninja parrot that throws flaming stars a minotaur/dinosaur with large stone fists and a female sphinx with mummified bandages
Their names are Kappo and Croakster Ninjarrot Rockitaur and Princess Whiskers
Note: By dopplegangers, I'm not sure if you mean create some of the Vexicons. I decided to create some, as it seems like people can tell the Mysticons and Vexicons apart, so the plan won't work. Also, sorry if I get anything wrong about Ender. It's been a bit since he was in one of my episodes.
The Mysticons are in the stronghold, where Em is making pancakes. A small fire appears in the frying pan, and while Em and Malvaron put out the fire, Zarya instinctively pulls Arkayna further away from the fire, even though Arkayna and Piper were equal distance to her. Piper seems to notice this. Just then, a report comes, saying that Mysticon Seeker was attacking Magi-Mall. Sharise promises that it wasn't her, and the others believe her. They go to investigate.
They get to Magi-Mall, and one of the televisions show a news report of Mysticon Knight attacking people in the Undercity earlier that morning. This confirms to the Mysticons that there are a group of people disguising themselves to look like the Mysticons causing trouble, as Em was making pancakes at the time of the attacks. They assume that whoever's pretending to be them is focusing on public places in Drake City, they decide to check Drake Central Station.
On their way to Drake Central Station, they are attacked by the dopplegagners. Zarya thinks that it would be an easy fight, as they know each other's moves, but they begin to lose the fight when their dopplegagners cast spells that are unfamiliar to the Mysticons. Just as the Mysticons are about to be defeated, Ender comes in, with a young male Kappa that has a giant frog, a ninja parrot, a mix between a dinosaur and a minotaur, and a sphinx with mummified bandages come and help. The dopplegagners leave and the citizens who witnessed the fight, unsure which Mysticon group was real, chases the Mysticons away.
The Mysticons, Ender, and his friends find a safe place to talk about what happened. Ender introduces his new friends, with the Kappa being Kappo, the parrot being Croakster, the minotaur/dinosaur being Ninjarrot Rockitaur (though he insists on just being called Ninjarrot), and the sphynx as Princess Whiskers. Sharise tells them about the dopplegagners, and Ender recognizes them as creatures from their world, who can shapeshift into anything or anyone, as long as they have an adequate description of whoever they want to imitate. However, they do not often think on their own, and usually have someone telling them what to do. This makes the Mysticons realize that there is someone behind the dopplegangers, and they decide to review any footage they can find to see if there's any clues.
As they are reviewing the footage, they notice that the doublegagners (which Piper calls the "falsicons") are never seen in civilian outfits, implying that whoever controls the falsicons primairly knows them as the Mysticons, not their real identities. They begin thinking about who that would fit, but Arkayna mentions that it could be anyone. Just then, Zarya gets a call from Queen Goodfey, asking why Piper is there, saying that the royal family took her sister away from her. They explain about the doublegagner situation, and they go to the palace.
Along the way to the palace, Kappo says that the idea of only knowing the Mysticons, not their real names, are proven wrong, as from what Ender told them, the doublegagners would have to be told Zarya is the princess, not Mysticon Ranger, in order for them to say Piper wants revenge. Em suspects that, as the identities were revealed, whoever's controlling the doublegagners does know of both identies, but is more familiar with one. Arkayna adds that they messed up though, as Piper doesn't feel that way. Piper looks away, and admits that, while she would never attack the royal family, she does feel like she was pushed to the side, bringing up the camping incident and Zarya pushing Arkayna away from the fire instead of her. Zarya apoligizes, saying that she never thought about how she wasn't a good big sister to Piper after learning about having a biological sister. She also admits that she trusted Piper was agile enough to escape the flame, and says that she would have made sure Piper was safe if the fire got worse. Em does point out how she spends a lot more time with Arkayna than Piper, and Zarya promises to make time for Piper as well.
They get to the palace, and start fighting the doublegagners. They manage to defeat the doublegagners, and as Gawayne was filming "Evil Piper" live, everyone in Drake City learns the truth about the doublegagners. Ender sees Mallock running from the others, and tells the Mysticons. They realize Mallock was the one who summoned the doublegagner creatures.
Before Ender and his friends return to their world, Sharise asks if Ender's former friends are fine, as she thought they would come back with Ender if he went back to Drake City. Ender says that they're fine, and that they were on a seperate mission in their world, as Ender and his friends created a group of heroes. The new people Ender brought were recruits Ender was training when they saw the doublegagners going to Gemina and Ender wanted to help, reluctantly taking the new recruits along. With that, they leave.

Can you make an episode where Arkayna gets teleported 15 years in the past?
Fair warning: This episode may get slightly darker than most Mysticon episodes. However, the plot's too good to resist. Also, sorry if this isn't really good. Time travel episodes are a little hard to write.
The Mysticons are watching a movie involving thieves, and Piper and Zarya are pointing out all the different mistakes the characters are making. This leads to Piper and Zarya talking about life in the undercity, and while they don't seem bothered by it, Arkayna is shocked when they learn about the harder experiences they had. Arkayna excuses herself and goes to her room, trying to act fine. Meanwhile Tazma, who was spying on the Mysticons, secretly follow. Arkayna is about to warn the others about Tazma, but Tazma tells Arkayna that she can take her back in time so she can bring Zarya back from the orphanage. Arkayna is suspicious about Tazma's motives, and Tazma says that she wants to prove to Malvaron that she's trying to change. Arkayna doesn't trust Tazma, but as she would want Zarya to grow up with her instead of the streets, agrees.
Tazma casts the spell, and she and Arkayna go back fifteen years. While they realize that Zarya was probably taken by this point, they could go to Mrs. Sparklebottom's sanctuary to find Zarya. They get there, and use a spell to disguise themselves as pixies to get in, and only pixies and babies are allowed in. They pretend to be new volunteers, and manage to get in. They find baby Zarya and manage to escape with her.
They get to the royal palace, and are stopped by the guards, who don't recognize teenage Arkayna. Queen Goodfey comes, and when Arkayna mentions something only the royal family would know, invites them in. Arkayna explains everything, and Queen Goodfey is happily reunited with her daughter. As Arkayna already calls her "Zarya", Queen Goodfey agrees to keep that name. Tazma and Arkayna leave, and Arkayna happily says that it's time to go home. However, Tazma refuses to cast the spell, saying that she needs to keep Arkayna out of her current timeline a little longer. Arkayna is suspicious, but Tazma says that she just wants to make sure Nova Terron doesn't come back for the princess. Arkayna knows that Tazma is scheming something, but doesn't quite know what.
Meanwhile, back in the current timeline, Zarya is looking at her phone. She is annoyed that Kitty's contact information is missing from her phone. She stops when she sees that Piper is transparent, and calls the others for help. Malvaron and Em comes, but they realize that Arkayna didn't. While looking for anything in the books that could explain what's happening, they hear on the radio (Em was listening to it while inventing, a habit she got from her dad) that it was 15 years since Princess Zarya was returned to the palace. This surprises them, as that didn't happen. Malvaron does more research, and says that if someone changes the past, it can affect the future. Piper says that the alternate timeline didn't, but Malvaron theorizes that whatever's going on is changing the current timeline, while Piper jumped into a seperate one. He also says that there is sometimes a bit of a lag, which is why some things are fading faster than others. As Arkayna is gone, and she seemed upset over hearing what Zarya and Piper been through, they guess is her.
They go back in time, and find Arkayna, who is with Tazma. Arkayna is worried about Piper, and asks what happened. Zarya snaps at her, saying that her stunt did this. Piper explains that Zarya saved her life in the undercity, so without Zarya, there was probably no one paying enough attention to stop her from being hit by the car. While Arkayna doesn't want to lose her sister, Em points out how they have each other now, but they won't have Piper if they don't make things right. Arkayna agrees, and they plan to capture baby Zarya and bring her back to the orphanage, managing to lose Tazma along the way.
They go, but are caught by Queen Goodfey. She calls guards to arrest them, but the Mysticons explain the whole story. While Queen Goodfey intially refuses to seperate from her daughter, Zarya points out how Piper's family to her to, so by her not wanting to lose Zarya for fifteen years, she'll lose Piper permanently. Queen Goodfey reluctantly agrees after asking Zarya if she's happy how her life turned out and Zarya saying she was. Before they leave, Queen Goodfey leaves a note with baby Zarya, asking her new parents to give her the middle name "Naira", the name Queen Goodfey would have given Zarya as a first name.
As soon as they get to the orphanage, Tazma is waiting for them. A fight ensues, and they struggle with fighting Tazma while still protecting baby Zarya. They manage to do so, and return baby Zarya to the orphanage. With that, Piper is back to normal and Malvaron sends everyone, including Tazma, back to their time.
At the stronghold, Tazma is arrested for breaking into the stronghold. That night, Arkayna is on the palace balcony when Zarya comes. Arkayna apoligizes for everything, and Zarya forgives her that she would have liked to know Queen Goodfey and Arkayna sooner. As the spend the night quietly together, Queen Goodfey walks by and smiles.

Can you do an episode where Mallock hired a bounty hunter who hunted down the Twins Arkayna and Zarya
Arkayna and Zarya heading back from the mall when Zarys suddenly goes quiet and looks over her shoulder. Arkayna asks what's wrong, and Zarya reveals that she thinks someone's following them, but isn't sure where the person following them is hiding. Arkayna says that they should just keep going and quietly tells Zarya that whoevever's following them wouldn't come if they know she and Zarya are onto them, so the best plan is to pretend to be unaware. As they walk, a masked figure attacks, but Arkayna and Zarya are ready and fight back. The masked man escapes.
At the stronghold, Arkayna and Zarya tell the others what has happened. Sharise asks if the figure said anything about why he was attacking them, and Arkayna says that the person didn't say anything. However, she did recall a logo on the person's jacket, and they describe what it looks like. After Piper draws a picture of it and Zarya says that's the logo, Arkayna sends the picture to Proxima to see if she knows anything. Proxima knows that it's some kind of bounty hunter guild, but doesn't know which one. Zarya figures that Clawdette may be able to help, but they realize that they don't know how to contact her. Em says that she knows someone who does.
They go to the butler, who is now working with the royal family (being paid well). Piper asks if he called The Claw, and while the butler is intially reluctant, admits that he did. Zarya explains everything, and says that if they contact The Claw, she may be able to help. The butler gives the number, but warns the Mysticons that she can be a bit intense. The Mysticons leave, and Sharise asks if it's really a good idea to trust someone who is an intense as the butler says. The others laugh, telling Sharise that she's really not as bad as people say.
They meet up with Clawdette, who is happy to see the Mysticons again, and to meet another one. They show her the logo, and Clawdette frowns. She reveals that it's a group of bounty hunters who work all across Gemina. However, they only take cases that they deem intriging enough, meaning that there has to be something about the case. Piper brings up how both of them are princesses, and Zarya adds that it could be because they're Mysticons. Em asks Clawdette where they can find the bounty hunter, but Clawdette reveals that, since they're scattered around Gemina and wear disguises, it's hard to find one specific bounty hunter. Instead, there's a number to call, and it connects to a random hideout of theirs, who redirect the call if needed.
While searching, they are attacked by the bounty hunter, and they notice that he is more focused on Zarya and Arkayna. They do manage to fend off the bounty hunter, but again, he manages to flee. Before he leaves, he says that there is more than one way to get what he wants.
Meanwhile, Queen Goodfey is informed by the head of royal security that they got a call, saying that Zarya and Arkayna are captured, and will only be released if they meet at a certain spot so Queen Goodfey can give rulership of Gemina. Queen Goodfey is about to agree, but she thinks about everything her daughters had faced. She asks the head of security who called, and while the caller was allegedly the same person who kidnapped the girls, they don't know him. Queen Goodfey wonders if it's a trap, and calls Arkayna. Upon hearing Arkayna and Zarya are alright, she tells of the conversation, and is convinced by her daughters to give the meeting place. After the phone call, Queen Goodfey asks security to come at the meeting time.
The Mysticons manage to get to the meeting place before Queen Goodfey was supposed to come, and sees Mallock and the bounty hunter. Mallock warns the bounty hunter that the princesses are the key to taking over Gemina, and that if his plan doesn't work, he'll make an example of him. A fight ensues, and while the bounty hunter is powerful, and they are almost overwhelmed by him and Mallock's creatures, they manage to escape. Just then, Queen Goodfey comes with the royal guards. The guards arrest the bounty hunter, but Zarya is grabbed by Mallock. Mallock says that, if they don't let him go free this time, he'll turn Em into a vampire. Everyone lets him go free.
On the way back to the palace, Queen Goodfey asks Arkayna and Zarya how they got involved with the bounty hunter in the first place. When they tell the whole story, Queen Goodfey is angry that they didn't tell her. Zarya says that they weren't sure if it was due to them being royal or mysticons, and Queen Goodfey sighs. She reveals that she's worried about them, and makes them promise to tell if something like that happened again.

What if Zarya’s Adoptive Parents Returned?
What if Zarya’s parents did survive Captain Kaos’s raid on the village? I imagine that there would be a lot of mixed feelings for the royal family. I also think that this may have an impact on a certain elf, depending on how the reunion goes.
Her parents surviving the raid is possible. We don’t know exactly what happened in the village, so it’s possible that Zarya saw something that seemed to prove that her parents didn’t make it out of there, but they did. As Zarya was kidnapped by Captain Kaos, she wouldn’t have much time to look for more information about what happened to her parents. Plus, Zarya was fairly young at the time, so it is possible that she jumped to conclusions.
I imagine that the adopted parents (Mr. and Mrs. Moonwolf) left the village to find their daughter. As they didn’t think about what her daughter saw, and as such, didn’t realize what Zarya thought happened to them, they left without leaving a sign for Zarya that they are still alive (not to mention the fact that Zarya and the Pink Skulls didn’t seem to have returned to the village since). It wasn’t until Zarya was discovered as the lost princess that Mr. and Mrs. Moonwolf knew where to find her.
One potential problem is the fact that, despite it being known for a while that Zarya was a member of the royal family, her adoptive parents didn’t come. However, it doesn’t completely make this impossible. Mr. and Mrs. Moonwolf would realize that Zarya is with her biological family, and could be unsure about whether or not it would be best to take her away from them.
This would cause Zarya to be torn between both sets of parents. While she is happy to be reunited with her long-lost biological family, she does care deeply for the family that raised her, so she wouldn’t know where to go. This would affect Arkayna as well, as she may be upset with the possibility of Zarya turning against her family. Queen Goodfey and King Darius would be torn, because while they would want Zarya to stay close to them, they would ultimately want whatever would be best for Zarya.
In the end, I don’t think that Zarya would return to Mr. and Mrs. Moonwolf. However, I could still see them being involved in Zarya’s life, perhaps even moving to Drake City in order to stay close to her. Queen Goodfey would accept this, realizing that Mr. and Mrs. Moonwolf are important figures in Zarya’s life as well. I could see Mr. and Mrs. Moonwolf adopting Piper, as she does need a family, and feels as though Zarya’s honorary sister would be a perfect addition to their family. Queen Goodfey would personally oversee the adoption ceremony.

From your post, talking about how Gawayne treated the Butler, I was wondering how Arkayna would treat a butler if she was given one? (Say, they decided it would be best for her to have a butler to help with being both a princess and superhero.)
To be honest, I don’t think that Arkayna would have a butler of her own. If the responsibilities were too much for Arkayna to handle alone, she would look into a butler for the Mysticons. After all, not only would it be fair if Zarya had the option to have a butler as well, but many of the butler’s duties, such as housekeeping, may be beneficial for all the Mysticons.
It may actually be Queen Goodfey’s idea to hire the butler. While one reason for this would be to make their responsibilities more manageable, another reason would be for her own peace of mind. While she would feel as though it would be unfair to take away the sense of privacy the Mysticons had in their stronghold (due to none of them having parental figures in the city), she would also worry about the Mysticons’ well-being practically living alone. So, If the Mysticons had a butler, there would be an adult there without the Mysticons feeling as though their independence is being taking away.
The butler will be paid a good wage, and would be treated with respect. Instead of being put in humiliating situations, the butler’s duties will be fairly mundane, such as cooking and housekeeping. How they talk to the butler would also be more respectful, with them asking for things that they need, and being sure to thank the butler.
In turn, I think the butler would have respect for the Mysticons. The butler would give them space to figure out issues on their own, knowing that they are used to be independent. However, should the Mysticons need the butler, the butler would be a calm voice of reason if they need advice, or even someone just to talk to.

What would happen if Queen Goodfey knew Captain Kaos? What would be the backstory? And how would Zarya and Arkayna react?
If Queen Goodfey knew Captain Kaos, they probably wouldn’t be close.
Even as a teenager, Captain Kaos was a sky pirate, working for another captain. Princess Goodfey (this happened before she was a queen) learned about the sky pirate and chased him off. Being young and slightly naive (she was a teenager as well), Princess Goodfey thought that she stopped Captain Kaos from attacking Gemina. However, she didn’t like sky pirates after that day, an attitude she later passed to Arkayna.
Zarya and Arkayna would be surprised that Queen Goodfey knew Captain Kaos, and Zarya would feel as though Queen Goodfey could have done more to stop him so he wouldn’t have raided her village. However, she would later realize that there was no way Queen Goodfey could have known what happened, and forgives her mom.

Seeing that Arkayna and Zarya are both princesses and Em is the Griffin Wrangler at the Royal Palace, what would Piper be if she was hired by Queen Goodfey?
I think that she would be a jester/entertainer. While I don’t believe that’s a current position in the castle (or else Gawayne would have got the entertainer to entertain him at least once in the show), I could see Queen Goodfey making that position after hearing Piper talk about being in the circus.
Another option I considered is security. Piper’s very athletic, and she was shown to imagine fighting villains before being a Mysticon, showing she was interested in being a hero. The problem with this is that Queen Goodfey wouldn’t make her a security officer if she was already a Mysticon.
