I'm really really exhausted but would anyone like me to make a tutorial on how to make an origami frog. It's the easiest origami to make imo, you don't even use square paper so it's super easy to just grab whatever paper you might have to make one

the seventh virtue drafting journey is soooo crazy to me bc I did the 10k day in may 2021 & then exactly a year later I was 60k into the manuscript & then from august 2022 to early march 2023 (a tiny bit over 6 months) I wrote the remaining 138 000 words LOL

Probably gonna revise/redo Luc's card before this Saturday, but I am really glad I got the set done for my party before our next session! I feel like you can definitely see my improvements over time, and I definitely have gotten more confident about establishing a scene over the course of this project.

I don't know if I can commit to such a regular schedule, but I think it would be funny if my zine was published triskaidekannually, 13 times a year. That's once every four weeks, so one month would get an extra intercalated issue, the Blue Moon Special. I would treat it like leap day or Chinese new year, a time for celebration you wouldn't otherwise celebrate. I would want it to be like a cross between April Fool's Day and Halloween regardless of what month it actually fell in (if I published issue 1 on January 1st, then Issue 2 would be on January 29th; if I published on January 11th instead, then the double month would be May 3rd and 31st, issues 5 and 6 respectively)

Thing is, I chose the title The Some Times because I specifically didn't want to commit to a release schedule (it's not daily, it's not weekly, it's not monthly, it's just sometimes, whenever I get around to it), but I do kinda like the idea of having a baker's dozen issues per year. 13 is a special number to me for a bunch of reasons, and if I had unlimited energy and resources I would totally go for it, but I know in my heart of hearts that I would burn out and give up if I forced myself to stick to such tight deadlines.

This is a one man project, and I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. I always psych myself out by aiming too high, so I went out of my way to give myself some wiggle room for this project. Quality over quantity. I don't want there to be any filler or padding just to tick an arbitrary number of boxes, I'd rather release 3 or 4 really solid issues sporadically throughout the year. If I have nothing to say in a specific month, then there's no point making up something half-hearted.

#kee speaks #i also tired this has been such a long week #i only just got home like twenty minutes ago and it's 10 PM now #and i have to be up to go get parts at 8 AM and then go jump in a tractor #i feel like I'm officially reaching my fulltime farmer era #the last five years we've had enough people to run the farm side of things that I've been the designated shop person #so i was always working on welding projects or being the Go-For for everyone else #and i was really only involved during harvest time when its all hands on deck #but we're down a person this year so I'm learning how to run the planting equipment which is a new experience for me #i haven't even ridden along on this equipment since i was a kid and technology has changed by leaps and bounds since then #so it's a little intimidating #but it also means i dont get 9-5 Mon-Fri weeks anymore #more like 730A-10P Mon-Sat #which means not much time for viddy games :c #i was so excited that Survivor got pushed back so that it didnt release while i was in school #but now that its out im like. idk when I'll get to play #i have an appointment in the city next week though so I'll be able to pick it up at least #and have it for a rainy day #oh but also rainy days means my basement leaks AARRGGHH #BEING AN ADULT SUCKS AND I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS
