My Final Major Project for the second year of my degree in Modelmaking at Arts University Bournemouth!
A ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ themed ticket booth for Nadja’s nightclub with a Petyr puppet whose mouth moves.
Anyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with the film and TV show, so it was a joy to make something related to it.
I’ve worked my little ass off this project and I’m incredibly proud of the work I’ve produced.
Would also really appreciate if WWDITS fans could share this as much as possible! :)
More of my work on Instagram @louisfozard_creations
(I know there’s no Colin Robinson references on there -yet!- I just didn’t have enough time before the hand in and couldn’t think of what to add without making it too busy so any suggestions are welcome!)
I worked on the television series CSI: Las Vegas as a prop maker working with an amazing team of artists and crafts people where I helped to make, build, and fabricate many, many hundreds of miniature props and pieces. Everything had to be made in duplicate because the actors had to handle the actual miniature props which were built at 1/4″ = 1′-0″ scale, but there also had to be a duplicate model of the one the actors handled which was for actual filming so a camera could travel through the miniature set. Those larger models were built at 1″ = 1′-0″. A much larger model, to say the least.
ORIGIN: Taken from the stone altar in [REDACTED] Forest that housed the [REDACTED] Spirit. Dagger was found lodged in the ribcage of a human skeleton resting on the altar. The dagger was partially embedded into the stone surface of the altar.
I made a replica of an important macguffin in my MOTW game 🔪🔪
My latest commission project is out the door! I don’t know the first thing about this character or franchise, so it took a lot of communication with the client to figure out how these should look. I ended up casting the silvery parts in pewter, and the gold parts in resin with brass and mica powder. The parts that attach to the leather straps are using neodymium magnets. I can’t wait to see these on the final costume (which has already been made by an extremely talented maker - not me).

For a time, I had my own special effects makeup and props and puppet design studio in Hollywood, California. In these photos, you see some of the work I did for DreamWorks Interactive’s film production for the computer game R.L.Stine Escape From Horrorland. I created/sculpted several zombie makeups which were designed by an artist who’s name completely slips my mind right now, but, the funny thing is, it turns out that he and I attended the same high school in Southeastern Arizona in a small copper mining town and we took the same art classes together. How embarrassing. Anyway, he and I hadn’t seen each other since I left high school many years earlier and, one day, when he had been talking to the art director on this production, who also happened to be my best friend, when he heard my name which had been brought up because he was told that I would be using his designs to create all of the zombie makeups (prosthetics), he told my buddy that he needed to meet me because he felt that we knew each other, which we did, and it was a very cool reunion, because I remembered him as an extremely talented artist back in high school. I wish I could remember his name. Interestingly, I remember having a wonderful art teacher in middle school whose name was Mrs. Soles. She was SO cool, and she had a great sense of humor while also never taking any $hit from any students. Then, in high school, we had Mr. Turner who was also extremely cool. I think this little town churned out some really talented artists and performers and writers, as I recall that a young woman who I went to high school with in this same town became a best-selling author who write romance novels and does really, really well for herself.
After nearly 100 hours. I finally managed to finish making my own Izanagi’s Burden out of cardboard, glue, a lot of stress. Super happy with how it turned out 🥰
