As our world becomes increasingly urbanized and industrialized, the importance of trees often gets overlooked. However, trees provide numerous benefits and play an essential role in our planet's ecosystem. Therefore, it is crucial to recognize the significance of trees and take necessary actions to save them. One of the most critical reasons why we should save trees is their role in combating climate change. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release oxygen through photosynthesis, which helps to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Deforestation, on the other hand, releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and contributes to global warming. Therefore, it is essential to preserve existing trees and plant new ones. Apart from mitigating climate change, trees also have various other ecological benefits. Trees prevent soil erosion, filter water, and provide wildlife habitat. Trees also improve air quality by absorbing pollutants and producing oxygen. Trees are also beneficial in urban areas as they reduce the urban heat island effect by providing shade and cooling the environment.

This needs to be said. Taylor isn't being canceled for who she is. No one is attacking her, we are calling her out for how her jets (as well as many other celebrities) are destroying our environment. It is destroying our climate. And as a Black neurodivergent person, it's disgusting how she sees this as an attack. It's a spit in the faces of Disabled & poor BIPOC.

She literally hid her face, that was so disrespectful. And the thing about it is, this is so on brand for Taylor. To hide and stay quiet during serious shit right here.

DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game

Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter. 

Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.

The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge. 

And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).

And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game. 

Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.

After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely). 

Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.

Much less painful too. #Danny Tucker and Sam made the most complicated card game they could imagine. #It’s based on their strategies for fighting ghosts. Capturing them in thermoses. And MUCH based on a on field battle strategy. #It often requires spontaneous thinking on the spot. So Danny? In his ELEMNT. It doubles as practice for his actual ghost battles too. #They had SO much fun making this. #Sam added an entire series of plant cards that act as traps and healing ointments and duds that just take up the field. #Tucker added legitimate hyroglyphics combined with Latin as well as English and ghost speak. #Yes. You actually have to speak that language to play. With proper pronunciation. (Amity Parker’s think the three are talking gibberish.) #I headcanon Sam and Tucker are fluent in Ghost. #Constantine WILL figure this game out SO HELP HIM! #Some of the cards also have combinations related to constellations either in name or placement on the board. #By the way the board is based on a Hexagonal summoning circle with Rhunes along the edges #And the placement of the cards on the board and on what rhune MATTERS. #Also the cards move disintegrate and have certain abilities. Think of Harry Potter Wizard Chess. #But they are normal when Danny plays at school. This is just for ✨effect✨ Against invaders. #Danny faces multiple opponents. He also halts alien invasions. #While Danny COULD stop crime on earth he’s not sure how to fight a normal human and hold back so he sticks to ghosts. #The Justice league are going crazy trying to figure out who this entity is and after deep research are convinced this is some sort of #Ancient being who has protected earth for millenia. They have paintings on ruins and everything. #Danny is not aware they think this. #Raven starts praying to Danny as if he is a god and wrangles the other Teen Titans into doing so as well. Danny is still unaware of this. #Danny is not a King or an ancient. Just a very VERY strong ghost.

The Most Beautiful Hands

What is considered beautiful?  

When it comes to hands, people consider beautiful hands as having long fingers, are well groomed, clean, soft, and with healthy skin.  Hands with these features are physically attractive.  Rough hands that are chapped, cracked, or deformed with swelling joints are considered to be ugly.  Yet, Dharma Master Cheng Yen regards the callused hands of her elderly recycling volunteers as the most beautiful hands.

Their hands are beautiful because they do meaningful deeds.  These elderly volunteers do recycling.  They collect and sort recyclables.  Many go around their neighborhoods to collect recyclables, such as carboard boxes, plastic bags, and PET bottles, on the streets, at markets, or from business stores.  Many go to Tzu Chi’s recycling stations to sort out recyclables.  Their hands come in contact with all sorts of recyclables.  With years of experience, just by touching the plastic bags and hearing the sounds the plastics make, volunteers are able to discern the type of material the plastic bags are made of and sort them accordingly.  Many of the recyclables are dirty, so the volunteers wash and clean the recyclables as well.  This helps to reduce the impurities in the recycled materials so that new products made out of the recycled materials would be of good quality. 

Many elderly volunteers have been doing recycling for over 30 years.  Through handling recyclables, their hands have become rough and callused.  Despite having swelling joints and deformed hands, they continue to do recycling.  Most of the recycling volunteers are in their 70s and 80s.  Their reason for volunteering at such an advanced age is to leave a clean Earth and more natural resources for the future generations.  By collecting recyclables and do recycling, industries can use the recycled materials to make products, thereby reducing the need to extract raw materials from nature. 

Recycling volunteers’ example of doing recycling also educates people to reduce their desires to consume and buy less.  At the recycling stations, volunteers process tonnes of recyclables, from PET bottles to plastic bags to packaging materials.  There are also numerous used items that are still in working condition.  All were thrown away by their owners.  When people visit the recycling stations and witness the huge amount of waste produced by humans, they become more aware of the waste problem, thus learning to curb their desires, and buying only the things they need, not the things they want.  

Behind the rough and callused hands of recycling volunteers is their love for the Earth, for the future generation, and for the wellbeing of all living beings on Earth.  Their hands are the hands that protect the Earth and purify people’s hearts, which makes their hands the most beautiful hands.

DPXDC prompt: There’s an alien invasion incoming and the justice league are all up in arms to defeat them. Once they break into the mothership, however, they discover that the aliens were already beaten up and there’s this ghostly child cackling in the control room. It’s Danny and he is Obsession-drunk and having an absolute blast exploring every nook and cranny of the ship, dismantling it to see how the machines work, driving it around, chatting a hundred miles per hour to the definitely-concussed and groaning alien commander, and just zooming fro and fro with eyes dilated so hard there’s only a tiny ring of green in his eyes, lost in the feral serotonin sauce

Bonus points if the justice league calm Danny down by having him fanboy over Martian Manhunter, and then in the end, Danny goes “I’m gonna stick with you now! No takebacks!” and adopts J’onn into the Fenton family, now J’onn has two midwestern folks to hang out with for the holidays (the Kents from that Christmas special and now the Fentons)

The King's last gift

Danny was tired, tired of being responsible for protecting the world. At first it was just Amity but the ghosts began to explore more and the halfa was exhausted. He was the only hero available and it was taking its toll.

He knew he couldn't go on like this, let alone with his coronation around the corner but he didn't know what else to do. He knew he couldn't interfere with the world after the crown was on his head. The world would fear him (maybe even more than now) and protecting them with so much power in hand could do more harm than good, but if he didn't protect them, who would?

His core ached at the thought of all those people begging for a hero who wouldn't come, so Danny took desperate measures, and cheated a little.

He visited Desiree; she watched him with a raised eyebrow, curious. And Danny did what he forbade long ago, he wished. He wished for the future and for humanity itself, he uttered the words he had wanted to say ever since he knew he would not be able to visit earth for a long time.

"I wish for the world to be safe even when I no longer live in it, I wish for there to be someone who can protect it, even if it's just a human."

Desiree blinked in surprise not expecting the King who had "forbidden" her to do such a thing. She smiled and nodded. Her power grew exponentially but neither she nor Danny said anything about it. The halfa would not undo that wish after all.

In New Jersey, Thomas and Martha Wayne were celebrating the birth of their son. Neither of them noticed the spark of magic entering the baby, nor the boy's unusually blue eyes. Bruce Wayne, the Ghost King's latest gift to mankind, had been born.

And years later, when the Justice League was formed and everyone was talking to each other, John Constantine looked at the dark knight curiously, wondering if he was aware that he was death's favorite.
