"Come back, come back, we don't have time to fuck around"
The older I'm getting, the harder this line is hitting. I have been working on this piece for MONTHS. It was a little masochistic of me to make that many French knots on this big of a hoop, but in the end, the texture of them is perfect for the hedge effect in this piece inspired by Pruning Shears!

Every time I hear Pruning Shears I'm struck by how exactly it sounds like falling in love. The overlapping lyrics, the way the music races and swirls around, the palpable smiles in the voices, everything about it just feels like love.

My entire life's it's running away too fast
Watching everyone I've ever loved walk past
Never really quite getting the knack of
Knowing no one will not ever COME BACK FOR YOU

So we're at this shindig, everything's going on- (lyric video)
Rest my head at night content, knowing where my marbles went. (lyric video)

Just listening to some TAD on my computer while at work and the difference between my computer and my car stereo (where I listen to music most often) is such that some songs feel almost like whole new experiences.
Madeleine's little laugh in Battle Cries? I don't think I've heard it.
I've heard the scratching after "can't you hear the scratching" and Joey's "let me out!!" during That Unwanted Animal before but never so clearly; in my car, I have to listen closely to catch them.
Did everyone else know the storm sounds last throughout King? I thought it was only at the end, like a storm was brewing now that Madeleine's character had vowed to keep the king safe (and failed, per the music video?). But no, there's a storm throughout!
And Shower Day has a much longer intro than I'd ever heard before now. I thought it was just silence until about 20 seconds in.
Now, I have a goal:
To FINALLY hear Joey's "welcome to ruin" at the end of Secret Worlds. I have never heard it. I've listened to that song so many times. I've strained to hear it. Nothing. I've heard so many people mention it but never heard it myself to the point that part of me is actively trying to not get paranoid. So now I'm going to listen to Secret Worlds.
Wish me luck!

ok, but do you guys know what joke they're talking about in pruning shears? "and they're telling jokes, got that one about two men in a tent" because i recently discovered what joke it is
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went on a camping trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine, they lay down for the night and went to sleep.
Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend. "Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."
Watson replied, "I see millions and millions of stars."
"What does that tell you?"
Watson pondered for a minute. "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, I supect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. Why, what does it tell you?"
Holmes was silent for a minute, then spoke. "Watson, you imbecile. Some bastard has stolen our tent."
