Psalm 28:7 My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him. How did the lame man feel after he was healed by Peter and John, in the name of Jesus? The Bible says, “He went walking and leaping and praising God.” Remember what David did when he brought the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem? He danced before the Lord with all his might. I bet he got up and leaped for joy. How often do we get excited thinking about the great Salvation the Lord has wrought for us? Does your heart leap for joy each time you think of the Saviour? Have we grown to be too proper that we fail to get excited about God? We show our excitement when a goal is scored. Why not about Jesus?

Romans 5:3-5 (MSG)  “There’s more to come: we continue to shout our praises even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling short changed. Quite the contrary- we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!”
Matthew 11:28 (NIV) “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls, For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Psalm 28:7 (KJV) “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart gently rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”
John 14:27 (KJV) ‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Ephesians 6:10 (CEV) “Finally, let the mighty strength of the Lord make you strong.”

Sept. 27--Praise Pause--Day 27
Praise His Name: SHIELD Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Proverbs 30:5 (NKJV)
Today’s Thought: A shield protects us. That is its purpose. It defends us when we are in a battle with the enemy. What better shield could we have than God! I counted twenty times in scripture where it says the Lord is our shield! So, let’s pause to praise Him right now that He is our Shield, who protects us night and day. The LORD is my strength, my shield from every danger. I trust in him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. Psalm 28:7 [NLT]
Today’s Praise Pause: Dear Lord, I pause to praise You, as my Shield for You protect me night and day from the enemy’s harmful darts. I need not have any fear, for You are my defense, my strong Shield whom will raise up to protect me at any time. I thank and praise You, my Lord God, for being my Shield.

Jesus may send us in the midst of Wolves but we must remember he is our shepherd. The job of the shepherd is to lead the sheep and protect them from wolves. If we stay close to the shepherd, the wolves will not overtake us.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
 Psalm 23:1-6
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.
For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Psalm 95:6-8
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
 Matthew 10:16
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
John 10:11
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
John 10:14
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
 John 10:27-28
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
 Hebrews 13:20-21
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
 Revelation 7:17
