Ask Me About My Fics

Hey all, it's Sunday, and that means it's time for my inbox to be filled with questions. I know I haven't posted a Q&A Sunday post in a while, since I hadn't been getting any responses. However, It's a new year, and with that, a new hope.

I have 15 fics that I'm currently working on, a mix of fanfic and original. Below the cut, I'm posting their titles and a short summary. I want to talk about these, so please ask me about them, pick my brain, let me know if there's any interest!

Suffering in Another World- Silentmagi’s adventures in a fantasy world. - co-authored by @logo-comics

Sweet Duets - BNHA songfic series currently on the IzuJirou arc.

Frog Princess - a frog tells an adventuring group that she’s a princess of a neighboring kingdom, and is working with them to become what she really is.

Forced to UA - BNHA -  former vigilante, Nezu’s student Izuku

Approaching Dawn - Student of the Empress is working hard to learn to open her heart again.

Relics of Legend - there are many wonderful and delightful relics of the fallen out there, let's see what happens when a thief gets in too deep with one of them... - co-authored by @rosemary-kitten

The Quest for Redemption - Demon queen has one shot for saving her own life by trying to rebuild her powers, though a change of pace could be nice. - special thanks to @rosemary-kitten for the continued use of her character.

Nova’s Beginning - The start of a new world, from the viewpoint of the first character.

Not so NPC - an NPC from an RPG would like to go back to being an NPC thank you.

Happily Ever After - Rework of a story about a knight that gets her requested ‘Happily Ever After’ and the chaos that follows.

The Reluctant Hero(ine)  - Luck based powers. Character doesn’t want to be a hero, it just keeps happening. Original Fic.

Cuddlebug - Miraculous Ladybug - cute little fluff in which Adrien tries to help the elusive Cuddlebug so he could get one of their famous hugs.

Lil Bunny Deku - BNHA - Support!Izuku, Izuku Midoriya has a side job as youtuber LilBunnyDeku.

Tinynette - Miraculous Ladybug - Borrower!Verse Marinette, learning some great things can happy to tiny people.

Heroine Squadron - Izu Midoriya infiltrating the base on the front line to ensure they get the support they need.

They're all friends just hanging out going on a roadtrip in Purgatory together lmao #Anyways #When I occasionally catch myself being frustrated over non-issues like this I just give myself a vibe check like: #[Etoiles voice] ''Relaaaaaaaax bro; it's not that deep'' #A bit of a tangent but #I think a lot (not all but a lot) of fandom discourse stems from people projecting their personal feelings onto situations #''Well if *I* was in this character's place I'd feel [insert emotion]'' #''Therefore my perspective on this matter is objectively correct because I have experience with [whatever] so I know how they'd feel'' #I think we all need to remember to vibe check ourselves and take a step back occasionally. How did you come up with the idea for Cuddlebug?

As anyone that reads my writing knows, I'm a softy. A big old, I will have comfort, with a side fluff, hold the hurt and angst softy at times. In my early days of the Miraculous Ladybug fandom experience, I stumbled on the Hugdrien (AKA: Adrien Needs Hugs) series of fics by @freedom-shamrock and realized how touch starved Adrien Agreste could be.

I decided I wanted to have some fluffy-goodness, and set to work building the first chapter, and then completely lost my way on that one. Torn between having the kwamis or not, and a few other plot points, I backburnered it, and it recently came back to mind. I'm hoping to develop the plot a bit more and give all of the characters a much needed break from canonical misadventures.

drinking a cup of hot tea, looking up to the galaxy; you’ll be alright, here it is, the magic shop

today marks three years since i found bts. in truth, it was probably several days before this day, but june 5 2019 was the first day i realized that i would love them with my whole heart, and that it wasn’t going to go away any time soon.

one of the first events i partook in as an army, ten or so days after officially welcoming them into my life, was the 5th muster in seoul. to this day, i vividly recall watching it live and knowing that i had never felt this way about any one or any group before, and that i never would again.

magic shop in particular was such a defining moment in my journey. the concept of the song floored me, and the lyrics even more so. this track has held my hand and wiped my tears in the toughest times since then, and all i can do is unfailingly express my gratitude for bangtan’s presence in my life at every opportunity. it’s very possible that i would not be here today if it wasn’t for them and for their compassionate, healing words, their kind souls, and their never-ending dedication to alleviating our sorrows and pains, even if just by 1%.

it also happens to be their 9 year anniversary in eight days. i wish bangtan and all of you a very, very joyful festa, and want to reiterate again just how lucky and blessed and grateful i feel to have them (and you!) in my life.

i am having the time of my life working on this high school note-passing au 😍 i got a TON of writing done on saturday, i'll probably be finished with it completely in the next couple of days, at this rate! here's a little preview, featuring Henry being a lovesick disaster.

Henry must have done something in a previous life to incite the wrath of the gods, because he is suffering profoundly. Alex wears glasses. He’s been wearing them all day — Henry glanced at Alex as he took his seat in their shared math class that morning and nearly missed his chair entirely, he’d been so taken aback by the innocuous pair of black frames perched on Alex’s nose. If Alex had noticed Henry’s reaction then he hadn’t said anything, because class had been about to start, and he was busy setting up his side of the desk to take notes. Henry attempted to do the same, but he’s pretty sure he didn’t take in a single word the teacher said for the entire period. When Alex comes to join him at their table in the library that afternoon, Henry nearly falls out of his chair again. He’d somehow managed to forget about the glasses in the hours since he last saw Alex, and now he’s being hit with the full force of them all over again as Alex takes his seat directly across from Henry, with nothing obstructing Henry’s view.

this is the silliest, most light-hearted thing i've written in a while (hanahaki au was taking over my brain lol) and i love it SO MUCH. Henry's POV is fun to experiment with.
