Agents of SHIELD Valentine’s Day Challenge 2021!

The Quakerider Writers Guild is holding its annual Valentine’s Day Challenge! This challenge is open to writers and artists within the AoS fandom and open for all ships, not just Quakerider!

The theme of the challenge is FLOWERS and we will send you a personalized prompt. When you get this prompt, you can write fic, make edits and manips, do mood boards or playlists!

What to do?

Send the Quakerider Writers Guild an ask with your ship + media. Example: Philinda + fanfic, or Quakerider + mood board, or Fitzsimmons + playlist by January 31st, 2021. You can start writing and posting as soon as you get your prompt!

From romantic red roses to sweet basil’s good wishes , you’ll receive a prompt with a flower and its symbolism to use as you see fit!

We’d love a follow, however, it’s not mandatory. This is for the fandom!

Then what?

As soon as we receive your ask with your ship and media, we will reply (privately) with your prompt within 24 hours. Pinky promise! If you don’t get a prompt within this time, PM us!

As soon as you receive your prompt, you can start your work!

Deadline is February 14, 2021.

There is no minimum word count but please, use the read more  :)

Moodboards should be at least 6 panels, playlists should have at least 9 songs.

*After a year of missions and not being able to see each other*

Melinda: *Slowly blinks her eyes open to the smell of food and familiar footsteps* 

Phil: *Walks in with a tray of breakfast: a cup of green tea, mushroom omelette with sausage and toast, and a morning glory flower of the side* Morning

Melinda: *Sits up and leaning on the wall* Mmmm smells good

Phil: *Smirks* Me or the food?

Melinda: *Rolls her eyes* When did you get back?

Phil: *Places the tray on her night stand and takes a sit on her bed* 5 hours ago

Melinda: And you made all this?

Phil: Well, I wanted to start off your morning right, since today’s the only day I’ll be here 

Melinda: *Concerned look* Another mission? When?

Phil: *Shrugs* Leaving at 00:00

Melinda: Let’s not waste any time then. What do you have in mind for today?

Phil: I was thinking after breakfast, you and I can go to that a nice quiet beach an hour from here. The sun, waves, swimming, whiskey

Melinda: And it has nothing to do with the red bikini?

Phil: *Dramatic potato* What?! No no, it has nothing to do with you being stunning in that red bikini

Melinda: *Chuckles and pulls him in with their forehead and nose touching* Missed you

Phil: *Brings her closer* Missed you too

Here's my addition to @quakeriderwritersguild 's Valentines day Flower challenge!

My ship is Huntingbird (as you can see) and my flower prompt was Ivy. Of course I decided to not actually draw the flower, but yeah. Oops. Ivy represents Friendship, affection, fidelity and marital love. Although Huntingbird's version of affection may not be most of ours'... 😂

I had a lot of fun with this one, but drawing white on black really messed with my head SO BADLY. its not even funny (it is).

Summary: When he saw her, he knew - he loved her to the point of invention. Written for @quakeriderwritersguild‘s Valentine’s Challenge for the flower clematis, symbolizing ingenuity!

Sneak Peek:    

“Fitz?” Bobbi called, carefully stepping over the pile of gears blocking the entranceway and walking further into the laboratory. She huffed softly, gathering her skirts up in her hands to make it easier to pick her way through the detritus. Fitz had never valued having a tidy workplace, which was all well and good, but he never had to try to walk through it wearing floor-length skirts.

“Fi-itz,” she called again, twirling around to see if he had tucked himself away in one of the back corners of the conservatory he called home. Sunlight streamed in through the walls of windows, illuminating most of the room but still casting dark shadows that could easily hide a scatter-brained engineer.
