Sonic Underground🤝 Sonic Forces; cool premise with potential, bad execution

Notes:

nomadic, with several bases across the region

their numbers are code names, though they all prefer these to their real names

the five grew up in Madame Fairweather's Sanctuary for Troubled Boys until they ran away together (roughly 10 years ago)

they would throw eachother off a cliff but if anyone else messses with them they are roadkill

tends to fiddle with what ever her latest project is when idle

gets very excited to show her skills/projects

easily frustrated when her devices/plan don't work, but unbearably smug when they do

break her stuff and she will break you

the wild card

weapon of choice: twin energy(?) daggers

no filter/calls it like he sees it

a bit of a klepto, the others don't care as long as he's not stealing from them and doesn't screw up the mission

excitable and reckless, often has to be pulled out scrapes, usually Vee

Do NOT call him the baby, he will steal your kneecaps

Vee/Zero

"the Boss", tank

Vee was Zero's original codename, but he changes it to Zero when his squad's killed

selfish bastard, always has to be the one to finish off the fight

possessive, very protective of what's his (or what he views to be his)

this includes his squad

heterochromia, though his right eye was damaged as a child during an attempted kidnapping

(1/2) some minor jackal squad redesigns (that i totally hadn’t forgotten about)—mainly just color changes bc it always bothered me they basically had the same color palette ??… I get there like super minor characters, but it always bothered me. aside from that, I just changed what type of jackal they are. Uno is a side striped jackal and deux is a black-back jackal.

Here's some Jackal Squad ref sheets I made for them while Im still trying to think up some ideas for comics.

I know they apparently are named after numbers but i think those are just code names. Here are the names that I've come up with for them

Uno - Ace

Trois - Damira "Tempest"

Duex - Barron

Quatre - Quinn

Personal head cannons for their roles in the squad:

Ace is the wild card of the group, Damira is an ex- helicopter pilot (hence her other name "Tempest"), Barron Is a Boxer/wrestler and Quinn Is the Weapons engineer

There will be much more Jackal Squad brain rot because honestly they deserve so much more than off screen deaths :(

Fun Fact about the Jackal Squad: they were given their names by the white tips on their tails, Uno has 1 white tip at the end of his tail, duex has 2 white tips, trois has 3 tips on her tail, and Quatre has 4. at least that's what I heard

also 2 of the member of the squad (Trois and Quatre) names are in french ( If you knew this don't call me dumb for not knowing it I never learned or searched up words and numbers in french before until I discovered the jackal squad Ok......)
