*remembers i'm not in school and therefore beholden to neither heaven nor hell nor any man's grading system*
*joyously shredding & tossing all my carefully arranged 3x5 mental notecards into the air like so much beige confetti. raising my arms in victory, cheering raucously until i accidentally inhale bits of homemade confetti*
(*coughing up itty bits of paper like a cat evicting a hairball with a firm understanding of tenants' rights*) wait wat happens next
Antis who proudly proclaim they're going to become a therapist so they can shut down and manipulate and unethically target all the 'nasty proshippers' make me laugh because they're going to get two months into any sort of qualifying course and be slapped in the face by the reality that therapists are obligated to remain objective and impartial and will lose their license if they're found to be using their position to be unfairly bias or negatively target clients based on their own personal beliefs and values.
"Objectivity helps counsellors avoid personal biases and allows them to focus on the client's needs without imposing their own beliefs or values."
- American Counselling Association
"Therapy should feel like an inclusive and safe place for clients. Clients need to feel safe and supported in their work. And while all therapists have inherent biases and personal preferences, it is never appropriate for them to engage in discrimination, racism, sexism, or other forms of prejudice with clients."
- Medcircle
You do not get into therapy to correct people. You get into therapy to help them. Therapy is not about the therapist.
Choice theory parenting is a new parenting philosophy that focuses on meeting the needs of the child and not the parent. It is based on the belief that children are inherently good and will make good choices if they are given the freedom to do so. This is achieved by allowing children to make their own decisions, as long as they are not harmful to themselves or others. Children are encouraged to make choices about their day, their food, their clothing, and more. This approach does not allow for parental interference, but parents can offer advice and support. Reality therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on the present. It is based on the belief that the present is what matters most and the past should not be dwelled on. Reality therapy looks at the client's problems in the present and what they need to do to solve them.
On Saturday, June 18th; I attended the memorial reception for my boss at Our House and Our House East, Jack Hague.
I first met Jack at Our House in July of 1982…!?!…
I was working at the Landmark Cafe in Quincy Market 2-3 days and 2-3 nights as a waiter, before the current coinage of “server,” and then jumping on the B Line to 1277 Comm. Ave. Allston. This worked for me as the late wait shift…
some more art of Star Being, a character my therapist encouraged me to make as an inner guide......... I spent a lot of time here after I finished recording 🌤
Ok but Fourteen having to slowly live through and witness the reality of the endlessly unfolding political decay that Ten caused by destroying the Golden Age of Harriet Jones before it even started.
mother fUCKER. so in my mcu dr Pietro is actually really good at voice acting (he has done a couple of kids cartoons but nothing big) but the problem is when I am living at the tower he will barge into my room while I am doing either reports or crocheting or something and he will grab one of my 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ spicy books (They are so smutty omfg so smutty because thats the only ladylike thing i do. I don't watch porn but I do read it) and will start to read the spicy scenes aloud in different voices. I had to beg him to quit reading them in Kermits voice. He now does Carl Wheezer or Kronk and not I can't read a spicy scene not in one of those voices.
No desire for my favorite character to be the best striker, or even for two characters whose relationship goes far beyond platonic to get together, can compare to the desperate need for professional psychological help in Blue Lock.
on a deep space mission traveling from an environmentally devastated earth with hope to restart humanity elsewhere
when they’re halfway, an explosion kills 3 crew and pushes them off course
the only witness is the Alternate who has no specific role, and she has to figure out who caused it & if they might continue to sabotage, while they're figuring out a way to get back on course with limited resources
flips between present and the past: of her childhood and training for the mission, her identity struggles, and relationship with her mother
questions the ethics of ‘restarting’ humanity elsewhere vs putting resources into fixing earth
When you break up with me.... Do it with a gang bang.
Go from being ultra possessive - "no one else is allowed to touch my property" to turning me into a toy for your friends.
Lead me on into thinking we're having a moment. A nice romantic dinner, followed by drinks.... Then tie me down bent over the table. Once I can't get free tell me you're getting bored of me. I'm too broken, too dependant, and you're just not having fun anymore.
Spank me and tease me while your friends show up and then gift me to them while you leave to go on a date.
