Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook had once again blown off their professors’ eyebrows.
This time it was the fault of the Slytherin boy, however, putting in dashing daisies instead of magnificent marigolds into the bubbling concoction before them. And just like that, Slytherin lost 40 points. And maybe it was horrible how they both got detention, but they had made you laugh, the pretty head girl of Slytherin. You had become a good friend of the seven lovers over the past month since the bubble puff incident, though still blissfully unaware of how they all felt about you. How their hearts would skip two beats at the simple smile of yours, and the butterflies that were created in their stomachs when you laughed.
And yes, the other Slytherin’s in the class, including your partner Charlie Chang, glared deeply at Taehyung and muttered how they’d curse him later, but really he didn’t care. Because after class was over you walked over to him and offered to tutor him, a growing habit every time he messed up a potion. Jungkook always accepted the offer eagerly, as that meant you’d spend time with him too. And almost always the other boys joined, trying to either help or learn as well. The comfy corner in the enchanted library was basically reserved for the group of eight, and they would never pass up a chance to be there with you.
Of course, during lunch Kim Namjoon, head boy of Ravenclaw, hit both boys on the head with a book, scolding them for earning another detention. Namjoon, while he had to keep up pretenses to be angry with his lovers, was happy as well. Helping the youngers with you always made the tallboy stutter and stumble over his instructions, captivated instead of the way your hair fell in soft curls down your back, and how no matter how much you swiped it away from your face, it always obstructed your view until you gathered it all into the deep green velour scrunchie on your wrist.
And you saw of course, as Yoongi scolded his lovers, Jungkook pressing kisses onto his lips in order to distract him, and all you could feel was the longing to also press kisses onto his lips. To scold the two youngest, then hold them in your arms while you helped them. Unfortunately, you much too much of a coward to tell the seven of your feelings, surviving through the days you’d spend tutoring them in the library, all of their noses buried in books, their concentrated faces creating a desire in you to press kisses onto their furrowed foreheads.
Of course, you were lucky to be a friend of theirs and too scared to go further than that. So you had your study dates with them, and that would just have to be enough, or so you thought.
“Kim Taehyung, stop making your book dance, OWLs are coming up soon!” You shrieked as you spotted said boy holding the book in a spell that gave it legs and made it dance. Kim Namjoon, who was helping Jimin with a different class looked over and laughed at your exasperated form chasing the second youngest. “Jungkook, how did you even get those sour worms in here? This is a library!”
“I got hungry.” The youngest defended, his doe eyes staring at you innocently, and how could you ever say no to him? “. . .Just, don’t get the library dirty.”
Namjoon laughed at your tired tone. “How about we call it a day, yea? We’ve all got class tomorrow.”Tiredly, everyone looked at him and nodded their heads, packing all their stuff up. Everyone got up before heading to the main hall, before saying goodbye to you as you left the seven of them together, or so they thought. But your sweet eyes watched from around the corner as the seven lovers kissed each other goodnight and goodbye, the way they intertwined hands and pressed soft kisses on one another. Before the seven of them split into four separate groups, each from their respective houses.
You quickly ducked behind the corner before your housemate turned the corner, not wishing to be caught peeking. But even as the two of you arrived back at the dungeon and waved goodbye to one another, the longing to be part of the group of lovers stayed true in your mind As you changed into your sleep clothes, you thought of the seven of them, and how you wished to love them. And as you drifted off into a deep sleep you dreamt of sweet kisses with soft love with the eight of you.
Unaware that the other seven felt the same.

Professor Slughorn, sans his eyebrows, walked around the classroom as the students searched for the galloping giggles potions in their books.
“Now, remember, the most important part of this spell, is to make sure it’s a controlled amount of giggles. I will be testing them all at the end of the day. You may begin.”
Naturally, you and Charlie got to working and ended up being the best result in class. Taehyung and Jungkooks causing extreme sadness instead. You had walked over, and before even asking, Taehyung accepted.
“We would love a tutoring session, but we also have a Quidditch practice right now. How about in a couple of hours?”
“That works for me!” You said before turning and walking away, none the wiser to how the two youngest got to work making the amorentia potion instead, hoping that for once they’d get a potion correct.
And later when you walked into Professor Slughorns classroom looking for the boys, you found the two hovering over a neon pink bubbling concoction. “What are you doing?!”
You yelled in panic, rushing over to the bubbling concoction.
“We were trying to make amorentia,” Jungkook spoke with a hand running through his hair. “We think we got it correct but can you tell us what you smell so we can tell if we did it correctly.”
A blush fell over your face as you smelled the air, speaking without thinking. “I smell. . .smoldering wood, a soft cologne that Joon always wears, Jin after he cleans the broom closet and bubble puffs.”
A squeak left your lips as you opened your eyes hastily, seeing not just the two boys, but all seven instead. “Y-You must’ve gotten some ingredients wrong.”
“I don’t know,” Yoongi mused with a smirk. “Amorentia is supposed to smell like what you love most. Are you in love with us, sweetheart?”
Shocked stutters left your lips as you stared at the seven boys before Jin spoke. “According to the book, that is what this potion does, I don’t know about you all, but I smell the six of you and one very special Y/N.”
The boys all let out hums of agreement, Hoseok stepping forward as he wrapped his arms around your waist. “What do you think, sweets? I the book wrong?”
You gulped before looking each of the boys in the eyes.”No, the love potion is correct. I think you got it right.”
“Of course we did love, ” Namjoon spoke. “We followed the book.”
“I guess there's no more hiding it. . .I love you guys. Do you feel the same way? Will you accept my love?”
“Darling, ” Jimin spoke, “We've felt this way for so long. Will you accept our love? Will you be ours?”
“Yes.”

“Hyung, where did you hide the popcorn?!” Jungkook yelled from the kitchen.
You heard Tae sigh heavily next to you as his whole body went slack with exasperation.
“What makes you think I hid it!?” he yelled back, head against the back of the couch. You saw his eyes searching the ceiling as he waited for an answer.
“Because!”
“Jungkook, if I remember correctly, your greasy little fingers were all over that box two nights ago when you ate half of it while playing Overwatch!”
“That’s beside the point! You know I suck at cleaning up, but the box was gone when I came back in the kitchen.”
You heard cabinet doors slamming and heavy sighs coming from the kitchen.
“_____!” he yelled this time.
“Yes, dear?” You looked at Tae who just rolled his eyes and you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Where did you hide the popcorn?!”
Tumblr media
Morning sunlight filtered in through your window. Promotions were happening so you were enjoying some alone time lately. It wasn’t that you didn’t like being around Tae and Jungkook, or the rest of the boys for that matter, but sometimes being alone was welcomed. Your eyes barely opened, squinting against the intruding light. You must have slept later than you usually did, but that made sense since you had a Netflix binge the night before. You turned over, moaning, and grabbed a pillow to cuddle against it when there was a knock at your door.
You sat bolt upright, alarmed, because no one should be on this floor unless it were staff. Slowly, you slid out of bed, feet hitting the cold floor and you walked down the hallway to the front door. There were no other knocks on the door, so you looked through your peephole first. No one was in the hallway, but that didn’t mean anything. You opened the door slowly, leaving the chain on to peer out. Nothing. Not until you looked down. A huge bouquet of flowers sat on the floor in front of your door. It was adorned with several different colored roses, baby’s breath, and some greenery. Shutting the door again, you slid the chain out of place and reached out for the fragrant gift. You brought it inside and sat it on your kitchen counter, plucking the card from the middle. It was from a local flower shop you recognized. Sliding the card out of the envelope you turned it over to read:
We miss and love you. See you next week, baby. -Tae & Jjk.
Tumblr media
The day shone brightly, and the cherry blossoms were falling from the trees like pink snow. You laid back with your head on Jungkook’s stomach. Your head softly rose and fell with his breathing and you didn’t think the day could be any more perfect. It was just the two of you and you both decided a picnic would be a nice change of pace.
He hummed lightly and exhaled deeply.
“Everything okay?” you asked.
Bodyguards were close by, but out of sight so you felt alone among the trees. The breeze picked up and more flowers drifted down on and around you. The smell on the air was sweet and clean. It had been a while since the air was this clean and you felt like you could breathe deeply again.
“Everything’s perfect.”
Tumblr media
The door slammed behind Tae as he stormed out of your apartment. You screamed out in frustration as you stomped your foot, mad that he left. The night had started out so nicely until you wanted to leave the building to go to the corner store.
“It’s not safe,” he had said.
Nothing was ever safe and sometimes Tae could get a little overbearing when it came to you. You knew he meant well and he just worried, but sometimes it was a little too much.
“I just want to walk a couple of blocks to get some snacks, that’s all,” you said throwing your arms out.
The argument quickly escalated with a stunned looking Jungkook standing at the island with a tub of ice cream. He had asked you to bring him back some ramen too but now he wasn’t getting any.
When you turned around, Jungkook was standing close behind you, and you practically ran into him, burying your face into his hoodie and screaming again.
“Why is he like this?” Your voice was muffled into the fabric.
Jungkook’s arms wrapped around you as he held you tightly, cheek resting on the top of your head.
“He’s just scared.”
You scoffed. “Hardly. I don’t know why.”
He sighed before he spoke. “Tae is really good at expressing his feelings and helping others, but when it comes to you, he seems to be stumped. He loves you so much and the thought of losing you in any way scares him. It just overwhelms him when he feels like he can’t protect you all the time. When we’re away he constantly worries about you. Why do you think you get so many texts?”
You laughed a little. This was why you always shared your phone’s location with the both of them, but he still kept tabs whenever possible.
“I just wish he trusted me.”
“He trusts you, just nobody else.”

Brazil
Jungkook was stark naked and running his fingers through his hair nervously.
“What did I do?!” His voice was frantic, on the verge of absolute panic as he paced the room. Tears welled up in his eyes and were soon falling over as reached the bedside again.
“Jungkook,” Tae said sternly, cellphone in hand with a cool cloth to your forehead.
You had passed out mid…coitus and Jungkook just so happened to be the person at the time when you went slack. He hadn’t noticed for a couple of seconds and when he did, he had grabbed you by the shoulders, making sure you weren’t playing some joke on him. When you didn’t move or wake up his panic set in and by that time, Tae was at your side trying to stir you awake.
“I’m going to need you to calm down while I call for help. Keep her on her side.”
Jungkook was sniffling, snot ran down his face and mixed with his tears, but he came to your side anyway and held you, keeping the cloth on your forehead though he wasn’t sure how much it was helping. You looked like you were sleeping, but you wouldn’t wake up, granted, this had all happened in less than five minutes. A few seconds after Tae had gotten up, you began to stir. Jungkook let out a shuddering breath of relief as your eyelids fluttered.
“T-Tae,” he stuttered.
Tae walked over quickly, phone still on his ear as he kneeled next to the bed.
“Jungkook, put on some clothes and grab some for me, okay?” Tae was calmer now as he placed a warm hand on Jungkook’s leg.
Jungkook nodded obediently, hesitant to leave your side, but knew he needed to move. Tae watched as you started to moan, eyes momentarily opening but closing again and he felt helpless. A few minutes later, and they were both fully clothed and pulled clothes on to you as Jungkook scooped you up and had you out of the building and into a car.
“She had a mild seizure,” the doctor said as he came into the room.
As soon as they had made it to a hospital with you, you were taken away and Jungkook, Tae, and Namjoon, who had tagged along, were left waiting in a private wait area.
“What does that mean?” Jungkook asked innocently.
“Well, sometimes it’s unknown what sets it off. Has she experienced anything like this before?”
“No,” Tae said simply.
“It’s something that’ll need to be monitored. Sometimes stress can bring them on or some other events. It’s good that she regained consciousness soon after. Most of the time, these are associated with epilepsy, but I’m not entirely sure that’s the case.”
“Can she come back with us?”
Of course. I just need some papers filled out and she can be discharged tonight.”
Jungkook slumped tiredly in the chair with relief. He looked close to tears again as Tae reached out and squeezed his arm.
“Thank you, doctor,” Namjoon said politely.
He walked away and the tears started to spill from Jungkook’s eyes again.
“I thought I killed her…”
“With your dick? No way.”
Tae doubled over with laughter as Jungkook shot daggers at Namjoon.
“If I didn’t like you so much, I’d punch you.”

You were incredibly and irrevocably homesick. You had been travelling with the group for months and were almost ready to board the next flight back home. It wasn’t that you didn’t enjoy your time with them, but you were ready to be in your own bed and to stop moving. You weren’t entirely sure how they did it with a smile on their faces. Of course, you had seen them break down plenty of times; had been there when they almost passed out backstage and held them in your arms into the early morning hours as they cried. But you didn’t want to come across as selfish, not to them. So, you smiled, and went with the movements.
“Hey.” You heard Tae’s deep whisper next to you as you stood in the hotel’s hallway. He had just texted you to meet him and you were standing, scrolling through your phone, and waiting for him.
“Is everything okay?” you asked, turning towards his voice.
“Yea, follow me,” he said, grabbing your hand.
He led you down the hallway and to the elevator, pressing the button to the topmost floor.
“Where are we going?”
His smile was warm as he looked down at you, arm wrapping around your waist to draw you in closer.
“You’ll see.”
When you arrived to the floor he led you down the hallway to a set of stairs with a sign on the door that said ‘roof’.
“Are we supposed-“
“Don’t worry about it.” His smile was mischievous, and you were wondering if he were about to get the both of you in trouble. When you reached the top of the stairs, he instructed you to close your eyes. Reluctantly, you did so. You heard the crunch of the small gravel topped roof under your feet and the whip of the wind that was surprisingly calm otherwise.
“Okay, open them,” he said.
Before you, he had set up a table with all your favorite foods that he could find, complete with several electronic candles.
“When did you do this? And why?” You turned to him, wide eyed.
He scratched the back of his neck as he blushed.
“Well, I gave the staff a list of things you liked, since we had practice today…and well, I had some help, but…I know you’ve been missing home and I wanted you to feel better.”
You stood, shocked, that he had even noticed.
“If it’s too much we can take it back to the-“ You cut him off as you surged forward, hands on his cheeks, as you pulled him down to you for a kiss.
“I love you Kim Taehyung,” you whispered against his lips.
You heard his breath catch in his throat, the wind blew his long hair into your face and tickled your nose, the air was a little biting but none of it mattered.
He smiled, nuzzling his nose along yours in an eskimo kiss.
“I love you.”

The Little Things
The first post on this blog of mine :) Based on a post I saw about the little moments that made people realize they had fallen in love <3
Go get your UwUs
The Little Things
Taehyung
You had always made his heart flutter, doing funny little backflips in his chest. The little things always setting it off leaving him speechless. The way you ran through a field of flowers, how your laugh sounded like a bell when it caught the wind just right, the way you squeezed his arm when you were scared.
Both of you were at the store, you have made it your mission to try on the oddest combinations possible, but somehow everything worked. You looked good in everything, and Taehyung meant that, despite how biased you thought he was.
Taehyung was standing at the clearance rack, looking for something wacky when you came out in a pale blue number. You gave a quick look around; he assumed you were looking for him, so he began his walk over. Stopping himself short when he saw you smile at your reflection, clearly happy with your own appearance, you did a twirl and made the craziest face you could before fixing up your hair.
His heart stopped, his breathing surprisingly calm as his mind came to a standstill. A small smile taking over his face as his brain repeated the same word over and over again. With a hop in his step, Taehyung walked back towards the fitting rooms, calling your name and watching as you turned a deep shade of red to your chest; Embarrassed, you had been caught making faces in the mirror.
“It’s okay, I love you anyway yea?”

Jimin
Jimin knew waiting backstage for him couldn’t be the most fun thing for you to do, but he appreciated it anyway. It’s not like you got to sit with him, but the time you did get to spend together was better than nothing.
Usually, you were standing by the stage door, the first person to greet the boys when they came back towards the green room. For some reason though, he couldn’t find you. The show had wrapped recording nearly twenty minutes ago, he hoped you were okay, trying to stay distracted by the after show pleasantries. Hopefully you’d turn up soon.
When you didn’t show up in the window of time used to break down the set and take makeup off his worry quickly turned to panic. Especially since nobody seemed to know where you had gone off to, not to mention the last person to see you may have been Jungkook, and he was the last one on stage earlier.
Jimin walked around the entire studio, checking behind every unopened door and peeking in all the opened rooms until he heard that cute little mumble of yours. He hauled ass down that hallway, coming to a stop just shy of a tiny little green room, one reserved for gods knew who. Jimin reached out, just shy of saying your name when he noticed you were separating the fruit by color.
It only took a moment before you made the funniest little noise of triumph, hands coming down to rest on your hips as you proudly stood over your work. Jimin held it together, he wouldn’t laugh when you looked so happy with yourself.
His heart warmed, but he was unable to control his laughter when you took out your phone and sent him a photo captioned ‘See, I work hard too! /;3;/’
Startled your turned, eyes wide as color rushed to your ears. Jimin could tell you wanted to hide, but he wouldn’t let you, quickly pulling you into a hug, still trying hard to stifle his giggles.
“I love you, but you’re crazy, I’ve been looking everywhere for you. This is the wrong green room (YN)-ah!”
                                                      ~ o O o ~
Namjoon
One of these days he was going to write down and record your laundry song. Namjoon had never once found the task enticing, usually letting his clothes build up until he needed to wear something that still happened to be dirty. That was when his washing happened.
Since you had walked into his life, he’d had fresh food and clean clothes, and for that, he was thankful. He spent most of his time with you wandering around the river or hiking up his favorite path in the park you got lost in all those months ago.
He noticed the songs one day when you thought he was taking a nap after one of those hikes. You had been putting away the groceries, and he couldn’t sleep anymore. Namjoon had contemplated getting up to help, but stopped dead in his tracks when he heard you, rapping?
That’s when it all started; Namjoon found himself in the oddest places when you did chores. He had figured out you only rapped your way through them when you thought nobody was listening, and that made his chest hurt, in a good way.
Finally, he did it. Having listened to you go through the lyrics multiple times, he had the laundry song memorized. Namjoon jumped to the recording studio, rapping out your song, unable to stop smiling even as you gave him a pout and that adorable, curious look. His smile grew even wider when you took in a breath, and your grip tightened on his forearm; Only realizing he wasn’t making fun of you when you had made it to the bonus lyrics he had come up with at the end.
A permanent “I love you” that you could play on repeat for ages.
                                                      ~ o O o ~
Hobi
It was how you met. Sitting at an airport in the US, waiting for your flight back to Korea, that had been delayed. Anytime anything even remotely serious seemed to be announced, you bit back a laugh. On occasion, one would escape, though you didn’t seem to mind, continuing on despite the glares. Why did that do things to him? Heart doing a backflip in his chest Hoseok swallowed hard.
With a single shot of bravery and jet lag as a scapegoat, he plopped down beside you and asked to see what was so funny. Since then, your relationship had been nothing but a constant stream of memes. Each one of you trying to make the other laugh at the most inappropriate times.
You were too cute when you were trying not to laugh. Your cheeks puffed up like one of those blowfish, and your eyes started to water until it all turned into a coughing fit. Hoseok wasn’t sure why he found it so endearing. Namjoon had once suggested that the challenge that came with making you laugh was the enticing part, Jin had argued it was the weird sputtering noise you made.
Maybe they were both right.
One weird afternoon, you sat side by side in an empty apartment. Hoseok’s heart hammered in his chest, but despite the racing, he felt giddy? He couldn’t explain it, maybe that was because he couldn’t. At least not with words.
It happened suddenly, without warning Hoseok was flooded with “I love you” gifs. There it was again, his heart did that indescribable thing. When the room grew quiet of laughter, he looked up at you, the once gleeful expression in your eyes had morphed into warm recognition as petal pink dusted your cheeks.
That was when he smiled at you.
“I love you too.” Were the words he had been looking for, finally able to describe that feeling.
                                                       ~ o O o ~
Jungkook
Grocery day was Sunday, and you were the funniest person to go to the grocery store with. Any trip with his hyungs usually resulted in a hodge-podge of food and snacks that nobody needed, but everyone ate. You, on the other hand, were like a drill sergeant, always had a list, never went hungry. That was wild to him.
It was so thorough. Each item placed on the list in order so you could find them by aisle. A huge part of him was amazed at you, not only was that the most efficient thing Jungkook had ever seen, your knowledge as to where everything in the store was astounded him.
You always walked with such a purpose, slowing down only when the situation called for it. Like if an elderly person needed help getting something off a shelf, or a child unintentionally cut you off as they ran down the aisle. Otherwise, it was calculated and quick. Jungkook remembered your first trip to the store together, he had nearly mowed down two workers and knocked into something each time he had to turn down a new aisle. He had had to learn how to efficiently maneuver the cart if he wanted to keep going to the store with you.
It had been nearly a month now since the two of you had gone shopping together. You had gone home to the states to visit with family. He had meant to tell you before you left, he really had. They were renovating the store.
Your first trip when you returned was the funniest, you flew into a frustrated rage. Grumbling about how they “can’t just change where they put things like that.” It got better, though. Jungkook followed behind you with skill, happy to catch your drive-by swipes into the cart, so happy in fact he wasn’t paying attention nearly plowing into the back of you.
Stopping abruptly, you turned around and looked at him, your face was utterly blank.
“I don’t even remember why I came down this aisle.” it was so cute how confused you were, he couldn’t help but chuckle.
“I love you.” He admitted in the middle of the breakfast aisle like an idiot. Despite the word vomit and his face flushing, his heart warmed when you closed the distance.
                                                      ~ o O o ~
Jin
Jin didn’t think you knew just how funny you were. Not in like a ‘haha kind of way,’ no, your humor was all in your body language, those grand facial expressions. Never failing to make him snicker, resulting in your pouting, which only led to more teasing and laughter.
He was sure one day you’d just get fed up with it, but so far, you had stuck around. Unable to completely repel his boyish charms. A statement that always earned him one of those sassy little eyerolls. His favorite, though, were those faces that you made when you slipped into a social glitch.
It was like clockwork, the two of you would go out somewhere. Purchase something, whether it be food, a movie ticket, clothes. Somebody would tell you to enjoy something they clearly were not participating in, and without fail, you’d reply ‘you too.’ The blush that followed covered your entire face, your ears burning red hot as the color spread down your neck and chest. It was adorable, your hands would flail, and you’d apologize profusely.
Luggage in hand, the two of you headed towards the bellman, placing your luggage on the cart before heading to check into the hotel. Tired, you stuck close to him, using him as a pillar to keep yourself upright as he talked to the clerk. She gave the usual spiel, going through the amenities, describing how to get to your room, the whole shebang. That’s when it happened. She wished us an enjoyable stay.
Was it odd that I anticipated your funny response? The subtly-wrong, “Thanks, you too.” Probably, but that was alright. Right on cue, you seemed to realize what you had done, nearly knocking the rope’s up for the line over as you flailed about.
I couldn’t help but laugh out loud, teasing you up the escalator. You were pouting, poking at my side where it tickled the most when I let it slip.
“Stop, stop! I still love you I promise.” Pushed out through unabated laughter.
For once in my life, I knew your response wasn’t compulsory, or a social glitch. You meant that ‘I love you too.’ when it flew past your smiling lips.
                                                      ~ o O o ~
Yoongi
You always came by when he was working late, food in hand, and a soft smile on your face. Never saying much, but hewas happy to have you around. A comfortable silence hanging in the air. You always brought something to do. Most times, you brought a book or a sketch pad. Other’s you had work, something small you couldn’t quite finish while you were at the office that needed to be done.
More often than not, you fell asleep on the couch in the studio. At first, Yoongi thought, maybe it was the music and the dim lighting. Then you passed out when he wasn’t playing with his recordings; it had to be the typing then, right?
Turns out, you were just comfortable. Yoongi liked that, liked that you never hid how you were feeling. Some days you came frustrated; others, your excitement couldn’t be contained. You were an open book, and even though he had never been one for reading, he enjoyed the story you seemed to be sharing with him.
Today was one of those weird days, where you looked almost frustrated. Concentration lines showed on your forehead as your nose wrinkled. Fingers tapping furiously on your keyboard as you ‘tsked’ softly every so often.
Yoongi was intrigued, he couldn’t quite figure out what was bothering you today, but he knew it was something. You were doing that thing he loved though. He had once told a reporter he loved his hands, but he may love yours more. Especially when they did what you were doing now. When you got to thinking really hard, your thumb would rub against the edge of one of your other nails. He wondered if it soothed you, or just gave you an outlet for your unplaced emotions.
You didn’t move when he sat down beside you. Your eyes snapped up when he placed his hand on the small of your back. A smile slowly returning to your face as the tension you had been holding uncoiled. He doesn’t know what came over him; to this day he’ll tell you he was flying blind.
Finally, relaxed against the couch, Yoongi moved to stand when you stopped him, grabbing his arm. He kissed your temple, the faintest, “I love you,” whispered against your skin.

Noise. Lights. Flashes. In the midst of it all, you’re focused on the toupee of the man three rows back, synthetic brown hair laid askew on his perfectly round head. He reaches up to itch at it, knocking it even further off center, eyes still focused on his notes in front of him.
I need to give him my stylist's number, you think to yourself, taking a swig of water and swishing it around in your mouth before swallowing to aid your thirst. Then there’s a tap on your shoulder and you look up to find your manager hovering beside you.
“Are you ready?” He whispers, adjusting the mic propped on the table in front of you. “We’re about to start.”
You sigh and nod. “As ready as I’ll ever be.”
Sejin straightens up and fixes you with a stare. “Remember, just like how we practiced. You’re polite and cordial. Only talk about your new album, no going off track.”
“Yeah, sure.” You wave him off.
“Listen to me, promise that-“ He’s hushed by a stagehand and pulled off to the side, behind the curtains shielding staff from the flash of the reporter's cameras. You look up and paste that soft smile your agency made you practice a hundred times in the mirror in preparation.
“Good morning, thank you all for coming,” You speak into the microphone demurely. “I would like to start taking questions now.”
The room erupts into noise after your welcome statement and you blink for a moment before pointing randomly at a woman off to the side, eagerly waving her hand.
“Hello,” the woman coughs and glances down quickly at her notes, “First, I would like to congratulate you on all your success so far. It must have been an interesting journey for you to have started from making songs in your basement to being signed and releasing a full-length album with Big Hit Entertainment. How are you feeling right now?”
A softball, easy. You knew the answer to this off the top of your head. “It’s amazing and incredibly humbling. I’m so grateful to everyone that had a hand in supporting me to where I am today.”
Hands shoot up again and you point to toupee man now, curious to know if his voice was as thin as his hair.
“Early critiques of your new album are calling the changes to your sound “meteoric” and “exponential”,” he rattles off in a squeaky tone. “Some are going so far as to say that it’s a complete 180 to your SoundCloud days. What is your response?”
“I would say the equipment I get to work with now is a step above the trial version of Audacity, so that’s probably why.” You grin and there are soft chuckles heard throughout the room. You wait a second to let them write that down and then point to a younger guy directly in front of you. He grins politely, bunny teeth revealed, before leaning closer in his seat and looking down at his note pad as he reads off his prepared question.
“Your collaboration with Gloss has proven to be very successful and it’s helped land you on XXL’s Freshman Class for this year. Billboard is even crediting it as one of the best songs of the year. But not everyone feels the same. How do you respond to rapper RM’s claims that you’re just ‘a singer who raps’?”
The room quiets for the first time and you blank, lost in thought, catapulted back into time at the mention of the name.
Tumblr media
“Jesus Christ,” Namjoon groans, throwing his head back.
You look up at him, mouth sliding off his cock with a wet pop. “Not quite,” you reply, snarky, giving him a lick.
The man lets out a breath and looks down at your figure, kneeling on the cheap carpet of his makeshift studio, knees rubbed raw from the polyester. The tight spandex of your dress hugs your body and he has to gulp and look back up again before he comes to the sight of arched ass alone.
“You talk too much,” he complains half-heartedly, fingers yanking hard on your hair and bringing the heat of your mouth back where he wants. You rake your teeth along his length in retaliation and it shocks him, his body spasming from the feeling before you take all of him back in your mouth in one go, wet slurping sounds quickly filling the small space.
(Neither of you would ever admit it aloud, but you’re both pain sluts, reveling in the sting of a harsh slap or ache of a hard bite. It fed a hunger both of you possessed, but could never quite fully sate in its entirety. Which is why, you suppose, the two of you kept returning to this place, finding that nothing could stoke your fire quite like pain twinged pleasure of a too hard fuck.)
Your fingers trail up and down his torso, pink-tipped acrylics threatening to scratch at the sensitive skin of his chest, and it’s that coupled with the look you give that sends him hurtling towards a premature finish. Your eyes are stretched wide, carefully applied mascara now running in rivers down your cheeks. It makes him hot thinking you did that for him, that your hair is tied up in a ponytail so he can yank on it and your nails are manicured to prick at his skin.
(Though he knows it would be delusional to believe you would dress for any man, he still likes to indulge in this fantasy, at least temporarily, because then he could pretend at least for a little while that you were his.)
With teardrops hanging at the tips of your lashes, you give a hard suck and moan, the vibration enough to tip Namjoon over the edge. You swallow, but don’t let up quite yet, and he has to shove you off when the overstimulation becomes numbing.
“Whore,” he sighs, but his words carry no bite and he bends forward to thumb at your chin and kiss you softly. Your teeth tug at his lips as you pull away, grinning softly before you stand up to search for your panties from wherever he flung them off an hour ago.
“We can’t keep doing this, I only came to talk to you and now I’m late for a dance lesson,” you sigh, shimmying your underwear back up your thighs.
“Mhmm, but we say that every time.” Namjoon tucks himself back into his pants, watching you pull the hem of your dress back down and regrets not marking up your ass when he had the chance. “And what are you still doing those classes for?”
You fall into the chair by his keyboard, intentional in your decision to not sit next to him when you speak next. “That’s actually what I wanted to talk to you about-“
“Wait, let me guess,” he chuckles, walking closer to look down at you and wipe away the remnants of the streaked makeup around your eyes. “They finally kicked you out?”
You bite the inside of your cheek, annoyed. “No, Joon, I-“
“No, no, I got it! They kicked you out and banned you from ever coming again-“
You swat his hand away and stand up, pushing back from the chair and grabbing your bag to walk out the small room. “I’m just going to leave if you’re not going to listen.”
“Wait, wait,” he grabs your wrist, but is still chuckling softly when he pulls you closer. “Go on, tell me. But do it quick, we still gotta finish that song from last week, Yoongi is waiting for the lyrics before he can start making the-“
“I got signed,” you blurt out, frustrated with his constant interruptions. Namjoon freezes and blinks, his hand still wrapped around your own.
“You got…signed? Like, to an agency?”
Sighing, you nod, letting your hand fall from his own. “Yeah. I filled out the contracts yesterday.”
He blinks again. Then his mouth spreads into a grin. “Very funny, you had me going. Okay, I got the message, I won’t joke about those classes again.”
You stare at him, confused. “What are you talking about?”
His grin widens and he turns to find his phone. “C’mon, stop kidding, let’s get started. I’m just going to call Yoongi so we can-“
“Namjoon, I’m not fucking kidding. An agency scouted me and I decided to sign with them yesterday.”
His back goes rigid from where he’s standing hunched over his bag, looking for his device. He turns around to face you, smile gone. “You-you’re serious right now?”
You nod, chewing on the inside of your cheek. “I thought you’d be more excited, I’ll get to actually perform the songs I write now-“
“Excited? Excited? For what, for you to be pranced around like a prized show dog?” He spits.
Your head jerks back, blood boiling hot at the vitriol in his voice. He doesn’t take note of your shock, continuing on his tirade instead.
“Please tell me you’re joking. Please tell me you didn’t actually willingly choose to become part of the empty machine that is that industry, to become a-a-a-“ He stutters, then looks away before turning back to you and it frightens you how his eyes go cold. “A mindless slave.”
Post-coital glow completely dissipated, you feel your skin heat up at his words and you step close enough for the tips of your noses to touch. “I make that choice and suddenly I’m nothing more than a cog in a machine? You think there’s nothing left to me?”
He stares down at you, jaw clenched. “If you decided to sell out like that without a gun to your head, then yeah. I do.”
There’s a squeeze at your heart from his words, but it doesn’t stop you from speaking next. “Then you can die mad about it.”
His teeth hurt from how hard they grind against each other as he watches you walk out the studio, choosing to forgo collecting the last of your belongings in the room in favor of having a dramatic exit. He realizes it hours later, laying on the torn up couch after he’s angrily scribbled his feelings out on ripped pages of paper. Sighing, he promises himself he’ll apologize when you eventually come back to pick them up.
You don’t.
Tumblr media
The sound of Sejin releasing a soft cough off to the side brings you back to the present, your gaze focusing once again on the man in front of you. The badge hanging around his neck reads Jeon Jeongguk and you drag your gaze back up to his wide eyes expecting an answer. Smiling, you lean forward into the mic to speak.
“And I still beat him on the charts, didn’t I?”

“His arms, Jimin,” Taehyung groaned, sitting cross-legged on his bed, wrapped in a crumpled blanket, “His fucking arms.”
He buried his face in his hands wondering if there was a way to go a whole year back in time and tell himself to wait literally two seconds before walking into the lecture hall so he wouldn’t walk straight into the most gorgeous boy he’d ever seen. Or convince his mind not to notice his wide, startled doe eyes that made him feel a certain way, or his sharp jawline, soft cheeks, his coral red lips, or the way his front teeth, peeking out from under his upper lip along with his pale pink oversized hoodie made him look so adorable he wanted to cry.
Or at least to tell himself to get a fucking mind-to-mouth filter, and apologize like a normal person instead of staring blankly at him for a good five seconds before quietly booping his nose, whispering, “Bunny!”
Jimin, his roommate and best friend, had laughed his head off when Taehyung told him about it that night, quickly recognizing the boy as Jungkook, the new kid on their dance team. Jimin loved drama, and Taehyung hadn’t known if he should rejoice or curl up in a ball of embarrassment and die.
Taehyung sighed.
He had lost count of how many times he tried to talk to Jungkook ever since, asking for help he didn’t really need for an essay, or maybe offer some candy. Once he even read a whole book because he saw it on Jungkook’s desk, just to have something to talk to him about, only for Jungkook to flinch, stammer, look pointedly away, like every single time he’d tried before, and tell him politely, in that beautiful breathy voice, that he wasn’t sure about the essay himself (Liar. He got an A+.), that he didn’t like sweet things (Liar. He visited the ice cream place off campus far too often wearing those comfortable looking hoodies.), that he decided not to read the book after all (Liar. Taehyung had seen the bookmark travel down the pages until the end.)
At some point, Taehyung had tried to give up. Jungkook hated him anyway. He wasn’t going to keep bugging him and make it worse. It probably just wasn’t meant to be. Fate, destiny, all of that.
As the chilly breeze of spring turned into a leisurely warm summer, all of Taehyung’s efforts went downhill when, one exceptionally fine day, Jungkook walked into class wearing, not another oversized hoodie, but a white half-sleeved t-shirt revealing his beautiful, veiny forearms and biceps that flexed even as he simply fixed his hair, and Taehyung wanted to drop down to his knees.
Honestly, it wasn’t even about his major, all-consuming crush at this point. He wasn’t expecting Jungkook to suddenly realize that he ‘like’ liked Taehyung too. It just really hurt to be hated by someone he had come to care so much for. All he wanted was a fair chance to apologize, perhaps to have some mutually non-escapist conversation. He wouldn’t even dare to hope to be friends.
All he wanted was a fair chance to talk. Was that really too much to ask?
Taehyung shook his head, willing himself not to wallow in self-pity again.
“He’s so hot, Jimin,” Taehyung let out a dramatic sigh, pulling his blanket like a hood over his head, “I wanna bite him.”
Jimin nodded, not looking up from where he was typing furiously on his phone.
“Park! Ji! Min!” Taehyung tried again.
“I’m listening,” Jimin mumbled, frowning at the screen, clearly not paying attention.
“Jiminie is a meanie,” Taehyung pouted.
“Ugh, alright,” Jimin rolled his eyes, putting his phone down, “So, did you finally talk to your Jungkook?”
“My- Wha- talk to him?!” Taehyung spluttered, “He can’t even look at me without flinching. You know that.”
“Maybe,” Jimin began slowly, “maybe he’s just- I dunno- shy?”
“Yeah, right.” Taehyung scoffed, pulling his blanket over his head, “It’s been over half a year. He hates me, and I’m not going to make it worse.”
“Sure,” Jimin bit the insides of his lips to hold back a smirk, “You were saying…?”
“Oh god, Jimin,” Taehyung groaned, “He wears short-sleeved shirts every single goddamn day now, and ugh, his arms are just so fucking unfair. I just wanna suck his dick.”
“You should come and visit the studio,” Jimin laughed, “He sometimes takes his shirt off when he gets too sweaty.”
Taehyung’s mind decided to create a tempting image of a shirtless dancer Jungkook with dark eyes and sweat-damp hair, and almost whimpered, faceplanting onto his pillow.
Jimin laughed. The nerve.
“But you’re coming to the group study at Jin and Joon hyungs’ place tomorrow, right?” Jimin sat up on his bed, groping his desk blindly for his phone’s charger.
“Is he going?” Taehyung mumbled into his pillow.
“I guess,” Jimin scrolled through something on his phone, “Jin hyung said it’s the two of them, two of us, Jungkook, Hobi-hyung and Yoongi-hyung.”
“Hmm, I’ll stay back this time,” Taehyung responded sleepily.
“No, you won’t,” Jimin countered, walking over to his bed, “Remember how you clicked a picture of Jungkook when he fell asleep in class and I promised I wouldn’t tell him anything?”
Taehyung pulled the covers down to this nose so he could look at Jimin, now glaring down at him, eyes narrowed, “Ye-s…?”
“Maybe I should, y’know, reconsider that promise,” Jimin continued, mischief bright in his eyes, “What do you think?”
Taehyung stared. Jimin wouldn’t really do that. Even though he and Jungkook were close friends and on the same dance team, even though… Jimin wouldn’t really tell him…or would he?
“Fine,” Taehyung sighed, “What do you want?”
“Ungrateful brat,” Jimin began, exasperated, “I’m doing this for you and your future boyfriend’s happiness.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Taehyung waived him off, impatiently, “What do you want from me?”
“There’s a bunch of summer sales going on, and I want you to come shopping with me tomorrow morning,” Jimin paused.
Taehyung blinked. That’s it?
“You didn’t have to blackmail me for that, Jiminie,” Taehyung couldn’t help feeling a little hurt. They were best friends, right? Of course he’d go shopping with Jimin.
“Yeah, no. That’s not all. You’re going to try on all the clothes I ask you to. Then you’re going to let me buy you clothes of my choice.”
Taehyung stared.
“Also, we’re getting your hair dyed,” Jimin concluded.
“My h- I mean, not that I mind, but, like, why?”
“Because I said so,” Jimin responded pompously, with a suspicious smirk.
Great. Taehyung wondered briefly what colour Jungkook would like, before realizing it wouldn’t matter. It wasn’t like Jungkook would even look at him.
“Um. Question?” Taehyung sat up slowly, “What do you get from this?”
“I dunno,” Jimin sighed, “Inner peace?”
“Blue,” Taehyung sighed, climbing the last flight of stairs to Namjoon and Seokjin’s apartment, “I can’t believe you convinced me to dye my hair blue.”
“I can’t believe you let me,” Jimin snickered, ruffling Taehyung’s newly dyed hair.
“I wanna go home,” Taehyung mumbled glumly, elbowing Jimin in the ribs, “I look like a freak.”
“No, you don’t,” Jimin responded, firmly, “You look beautiful. Like a sexy little blue fairy. Trust me.”
Taehyung wanted to trust him. He really did, but all he felt was awkward in the loose, creamy-white top with the neck too wide for his introverted tastes, and light blue jeans that hugged the skin so tight that Taehyung felt naked. He scoffed. Trust Jimin to mess with him, more like.
“I’m serious. You look great,” Jimin turned to face Taehyung as they reached the front door, “Confidence, yeah? Oh, and if you don’t go and sit beside him, I’m telling everyone you painted a portrait of Jungkook for your acrylics project.”
“You wouldn’t,” Taehyung laughed as he rang the doorbell, “I’m your best friend and soulmate.”
“Try me, bish,” Jimin narrowed his eyes, smirking, and Taehyung would be lying if he said he wasn’t suddenly very nervous. God, why was he even friends with this miniature incarnation of Evil.
The door clicked open to reveal a very annoyed Seokjin.
“You’re literally over an hour late,” Seokjin stated, exhaustion evident in his voice. Taehyung wondered if Namjoon had set their kitchen on fire again.
“Yea, well,” Jimin began, guiltily, gesturing to Taehyung’s hair and clothes, “We got a little caught up.”
Seokjin tilted his head with a slight frown, studying Taehyung’s new look before stepping aside with a curt nod, “Good work, Jimin-ah.”
Taehyung followed Jimin into the living room where Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi and Jungkook were sitting on the carpet around a long, low table, laughing.
Jungkook was wearing one of his loose, black t-shirts, smiling like the gorgeous angel bunny that he was. Taehyung didn’t want to see it. He didn’t want to watch the way the Jungkook’s eyes lit up with he laughed at something Namjoon said. He didn’t want to notice the way muscles of his biceps flexed, the way the veins in his forearms popped when he erased something in this notebook. Taehyung had seen it all. He didn’t want to see the way Jungkook smiled at everyone but him.
So he looked away. Fixing his gaze on the empty spot beside Jungkook, completely missing the way Jungkook lost track of his words the moment Taehyung walked in. He missed the way Jungkook’s eyes widened, eyebrows disappearing into his bangs, the way his lips remained parted as he drew in a sharp breath, the unfinished sentence catching in his throat. He missed the way Jungkook tensed, fingers tightening around the eraser in his hand, swallowing hard as Taehyung stepped over a stray worksheet, making his way towards him.
“Jungkook?” Taehyung spoke up, tentatively. Jungkook snapped out of his daze and blinked slowly up at him from where he sat on the carpet a little away.
“Hi,” Jungkook breathed, quickly looking down at the worksheet on the floor. Taehyung grit his teeth. Great. So Jungkook wasn’t even going to look at him.
“Can I sit there?” Taehyung asked softly, willing his voice to stay steady as he pointed to the empty space beside Jungkook.
The tense silence in the room was uncharacteristic when the seven of them were in a single room. Honestly, fuck Jimin. He was probably having a good laugh while Taehyung messed up all over again with the guy he really, really liked.
Jungkook made an awkward sound, then cleared his throat. He still wasn’t looking up, but Taehyung could see that his ears were bright pink. Perfect. So Jungkook was polite little marshmallow, too embarrassed to actually ask Taehyung to fuck off. He spotted Jimin, silently laughing at his state. Maybe he should leave. This was making things worse and Taehyung felt like he might cry if Jungkook actually asked him to back off.
“S-sure,” Jungkook mumbled. Taehyung nearly jumped at the soft voice, heart stuttering, because how could anyone sound this precious, damn it?
Taehyung hesitated. He would never want to do anything that might make Jungkook uncomfortable. Now Jungkook was awkwardly scratching the back of his head, and all Taehyung wanted was to ruffle his hair.
But that was exactly what he was doing, wasn’t he? He was making Jungkook, sweet, considerate Jungkook uncomfortable, because now, Jungkook couldn’t ask him to sit somewhere else without being rude. This wouldn’t do.
“ I- I mean- I didn’t-” Taehyung stammered. God, why couldn’t he even talk normally around Jungkook, “You don’t have to- I mean, I- I’ll sit over there, yeah?” he made to move towards where Jimin was sitting by the kitchen door, furthest from Jungkook.
“ Wait- No- Please-” Jungkook scrambled forward and gripped the edge of Taehyung’s shirt, then quickly pulled his hand away as if it were burned. Taehyung’s heart was racing, because who allowed this kind of adorableness, as he tried not to focus on how quickly Jungkook had recoiled. Was Taehyung that revolting that Jungkook couldn’t even touch his shirt without flinching?
Taehyung turned to find Jungkook staring up at him, his eyes wide, shining suspiciously bright, as if they were full of galaxies, Taehyung’s stupid mind supplied, and Taehyung froze, idly wondering if his heart was just a speck of broken dust somewhere in there.
Jungkook drew in a shaky breath, “S- sorry- Just- I-” he swallowed thickly, “I want you to…sit with me…if that’s okay…” Jungkook gazed steadily up at Taehyung, even as his voice faded into a whisper, a light blush on his cheeks, and what was Taehyung supposed to say- No?
Taehyung told himself to get a fucking grip as he stepped over the mess of textbooks and highlighters on the floor. He willed his hands not to tremble as he settled down cross-legged beside Jungkook, making sure to maintain that solid two inch gap between them.
Taehyung nearly jumped out of his skin when Hoseok snorted from the other side of the table, facing them, shattering the icy tension.
“Alright, guys!” Namjoon, sitting on Jungkook’s other side, tapped the blunt end of a pencil on the table, “Can we get back to studying now?”
“We all know that differential calculus turns you on, Namjoon-ah” Seokjin sighed, patting Namjoon’s shoulder in fake sympathy, “But you could’ve let us watch the drama of the century for once.”
“God,” Yoongi wrinkled his nose, “Just get a room.”
Taehyung let out an exasperated sigh. Great. Now they were going to tease, and Jungkook would be more uncomfortable than ever. Can this evening just be done now?
“Hyung?” Taehyung held out his open math notebook to Namjoon, ignoring the way the side of his forearm brushed lightly over Jungkook’s, ignoring the way Jungkook froze at the touch, “I can’t get this one right.”
“Oh, hey, Jungkook?” Jimin called out over the quiet jumble of voices, sounding suspiciously overexcited, “You know this one. Why don’t you help Taetae out?”
“U-um,” Jungkook stammered, turning to look at Taehyung, those wide puppy eyes barely inches from his own, and Taehyung didn’t know if he wanted to gently ruffle his hair or kiss him, hard.
“Y-you don’t have to,” Taehyung managed, his mind a little fuzzy from how his knee was now in actual direct contact with Jungkook’s. Why did he always turn into a lovesick twelve-year-old when Jungkook was around?
“No, it’s- it’s okay,” Jungkook took a deep breath, “Which one is it?”
Over the next fifteen minutes, Jungkook spent tried to teach Taehyung differential calculus, and Taehyung tried so hard not to focus on the way Jungkook’s gorgeously thick thighs strained ever so subtly against the fabric of his track pants, or the way he looked up at Taehyung through his eyelashes between sentences, occasionally wetting his coral red lips, or how his voice was slightly breathier than what he remembered.
“...and then you use the negative of the inverted gradient and get the equation for the normal to the curve,” Jungkook concluded, looking up at Taehyung with a small smile. Taehyung wondered if his mind was playing tricks on him or if the light blush on Jungkook’s cheeks was real.
“...So, uh,” Jungkook continued, quickly looking back down at the book. Taehyung mentally smacked himself in the face. Had he seriously been staring at Jungkook throughout? God fucking damnit. Who even does that. Great. Now Jungkook knew for sure that he was a freak and a creep.
Taehyung leaned over to get a better look at Jungkook’s book, “Should I try that one again?”
Jungkook flinched so hard, he promptly dropped his pencil, notebook, and a half-full glass of orange juice on Taehyung.
Taehyung froze.
Taehyung was a theatre kid and was plenty good at keeping up pretences. He had never once in all of one year called Jungkook out on avoiding him, lying to him, hating him, but perhaps everything has that limit.
Maybe it was the orange juice, maybe it was how Jungkook was looking like he’d rather be naked on stage than be sitting beside him, or maybe it was just a whole year of frustration that finally tipped over the line.
“Jungkook,” Taehyung began firmly, ignoring the tears burning at the back of his eyes, “You could’ve just told me you were uncomfortable with me sitting here.”
“Uncomfo- I don’t-” Jungkook looked almost comical, eyes wide, ears an embarrassed red, eyebrows scrunched, voice tight with panic as he held the empty glass shoulder high upside down.
“I would’ve moved,” Taehyung continued, nearly flinching at the cold edge in his own voice.
“W- wait, no,” Jungkook stammered softly, looking like he was barely two seconds from bursting into tears himself, “That’s not- I’m just really, really nervous,” Taehyung heart stuttered at how soft, how vulnerable Jungkook looked, “I’m sorry, I just- I didn’t want you to hate me even more.”
Taehyung blinked. He hate Jungkook?? He shook his head, trying to get his mind around the idea. As if. As if he weren’t halfway in love with him.
“Wai- Wh- I’m sorry, I- What?” Taehyung spluttered, wondering if this was another twisted dream, and if he was going to wake up and realize that the juice, now seeping through his top, was simply water that Jimin poured over him in his evil duty to wake him up, “But you hate me??”
“Why would I hate you?” Jungkook shook his head incredulously, “I like you.”
Taehyung stilled as he watched the realization, the beautiful blush, rising in Jungkook’s face. He swallowed thickly, willing his own cheeks to cool down because this had to be a dream, a trick, a something that would have Taehyung regretting that he believed this was reality.
Jungkook brought his hand to cover his face so quickly that he nearly slapped himself. Taehyung tried in vain to get his racing heart to calm the fuck down goddamnit when Jungkook bit down on his lip, peeking through the gap between his fingers, eyes dark, wide, bright, beautiful.
“U- um,” Jungkook stuttered, snapping Taehyung out of his daze.
“So like,” Taehyung’s voice was barely over a tight whisper, eyes burning with tears as his entire reality crumbled, “you don’t hate me?”
“No, just-” Jungkook chewed on his lip, rocking slightly back and forth before he lunged forward, grabbed Taehyung by the wrist and pulled him up, while Taehyung’s mind spun with a flurry of thoughts, most in disbelief, and some in awe and thirst of Jungkook’s trembling, pretty hands and his strong grip that would feel amazing pinning him down on the bed, or the wall, or the floor. Taehyung wasn’t too particular, “Let’s get you dry clothes.”
“Grab something from the left closet in the bedroom,” Seokjin called out as Taehyung followed Jungkook into the house.
“Sit anywhere,” Jungkook mumbled as they stepped into the bedroom, “I’ll find you something dry.”
Jungkook rummaged through the closet while Taehyung sat down on the floor by the edge of the bed, facing Jungkook’s back, wondering if the dim lights hid his blush at all.
“S-So, like,” Taehyung fidgeted with the edge of his drenched top, “You don’t hate me?”
“Why would I hate you?” Jungkook shook his head, incredulous. Taehyung scoffed. Was Jungkook really that oblivious, or did he just think Taehyung was dumb?
“Oh, I dunno,” Taehyung began, glaring at the back of Jungkook’s right shoulder, “You make it a point to keep a ten-foot distance from me, respond in monosyllables, don’t even look at me when I’m talking to you. See? Even right now, you’re facing away. What am I supposed to think?”
Jungkook froze. Taehyung shut his eyes. Great. Now Jungkook was going to tell him exactly why he hated Taehyung, and Taehyung’s eyes hurt from holding back tears.
“Oh god,” Jungkook’s voice was soft and panicky, and Taehyung’s eyes snapped open.
“That’s- That’s not-” Jungkook’s eyes were wide, intense, desperate, “Taehyung, I swear-”
Taehyung managed not to flinch when Jungkook dropped to his knees in front of him, reaching wiping away a stray tear from his cheek. When had he even started crying? Why was he crying anyway? Stop fucking crying!
“I’m so sorry,” Jungkook repeated, desperation creeping into his voice, “I just get really, really nervous.”
Taehyung looked away, focusing on anything but the gentleness in Jungkook’s gaze, the tenderness with which he wiped away Taehyung’s tears because this wasn’t real. It couldn’t be.
“When am I going to wake up?” Taehyung whispered into the empty space in the room.
“I’m so sorry,” Jungkook repeated, “I really do l-like you.”
Taehyung swallowed. Would the universe be cruel enough to put him through through this whole illusion, only to snatch it away when he woke up? Would he even remember this dream?
“I guess I didn’t want you to know that,” Jungkook’s voice was tight, “Didn’t want you to hate me for it.”
Taehyung drew in a sharp breath. Not once had Taehyung even imagined hating Jungkook.
“I’d never hate you,” Taehyung looked up, confused, “I don’t think I can ever hate you.”
“But- I don’t- I like you,” Jungkook repeated, a dark blush rising on his cheeks, softened in the dim light, “Taehyung, I really like you. Doesn’t that creep you out?”
“No, it doesn’t,” Taehyung insisted, fighting down the euphoria, trying to ignore the way his heart skipped a beat every time Jungkook said he liked him, “I- u- um- I really like you too, Jungkook. Is that…okay?”
Jungkook blinked.
“Are you…sure?” Jungkook asked, quietly.
Taehyung laughed, his voice cracking. Was he sure he was in love with the love of his life?
“Yes, Jungkook,” Taehyung bit down on his lip, trying to swallow past the lump in his throat.
“Noo, don’t do that,” Jungkook whined all at once, hiding his face with the back of his hand.
“Do what?” Taehyung frowned.
“Don’t bite your lip like that,” Jungkook elaborated, “It- It makes me want…stuff.”
Taehyung stared. God, if this was a dream, could he at least kiss Jeon Jungkook before he woke up? If this was a dream, was he allowed to let go?
“What sort of…stuff?” Taehyung asked quietly, letting himself run his hand up Jungkook’s arm, feeling his muscles tense under his touch. He watched as Jungkook swallowed hard, his breath catching in his throat.
“K-kissing you? Maybe?” Jungkook stammered, his gaze flickering down to Taehyung’s lips
“Well, are you going to?” Taehyung asked, pretending like his voice wasn’t wavering, like his knees wouldn’t give out right about now if he were standing.
Jungkook’s gaze darted back up, eyes wide, cheeks flushed as he breathed a quiet, “Yeah,”
Taehyung closed his eyes, feeling Jungkook’s trembling fingers gently card through his hair. If this was a dream, now was about time to wake up. He drew in a sharp breath when Jungkook gently nudged the back of his head, pulling him in, stopping so close that he could feel Jungkook’s breath on his lips. If this was a dream, why was Jungkook hesitating? Just as Taehyung decided to open his eyes, He felt Jungkook’s lips brush against his own, then quickly pull away. If this was a dream, why were Jungkook’s lips so warm, slightly chapped against his own?
“That’ it?” Taehyung asked, raising an eyebrow, biting down on his lip, feeling like his heart was beating right out of his chest.
Jungkook laughed a short, breathless laugh, pulling Taehyung in for another kiss, firmer this time, still shy. Taehyung grabbed the collar of Jungkook’s shirt, pulling him closer, gasping into the kiss when Jungkook tightened his hold on Taehyung’s hair, shivering slightly when Jungkook licked into his mouth, feeling all sorts of hot at Jungkook soft groan when Taehyung sucked lightly on his tongue.
“Oh my fucking god, Taehyung!” Seokjin stood in the doorway, slamming his hand haphazardly on the switchboard until the room was lit like a theatre stage.
Jungkook leapt away from Taehyung, landing ungracefully on his ass, cheeks flushed, breathless.
“Ah- Jin-hyung,” Taehyung began awkwardly, “It’s not- We didn’t-”
“Yes!” Jimin cried as he ran into the room, holding up a half-eaten cookie, “You kissed!”
“I- We- I mean-” Jungkook stuttered, glancing nervously between Seokjin and Jimin.
“Oh, you guys kissed already?” Hoseok strolled into the room, shaking his head incredulously, “Now I owe Jimin a pizza, damn it.”
“You guys bet on us?” Taehyung huffed a laugh, “Seriously?”
“Well,” Yoongi sauntered in with a proud gummy smile, “we thought Jungkook would snap with the blue hair and tight jeans and stuff,”
“You knew?” Jungkook looked like a light pink baby bunny, “All of you?”
“Yeah, well,” Namjoon smiled as he wrapped his arm around Seokjin’s shoulders, “You weren’t exactly hiding anything with all the tsundere flirting.”
“Right,” Jungkook mumbled, shaking his head, now staring at Taehyung’s damn top, “You should take your top off, Taehyu-”
The other five collectively groaned, cutting Jungkook off.
“We’re still here, Jungkook!” Jimin exclaimed, laughing.
Jungkook’s ears were bright red, and Taehyung wasn’t faring much better.
“That’s not- I meant-” Jungkook stammered and Taehyung bit back his own laughter, “I meant because it’s wet and there are dry clothes-”
Taehyung burst into laughter, watching Jimin and Hoseok nearly in tears, clinging to each other on the floor from laughing so hard, Namjoon and Seokjin struggling to breathe between laughs, and Yoongi abandoning his grumpiness to join them.
Jungkook bit down on his lower lip, even his nose taking on a light pink. Taehyung wanted to bite that lip too.
“Stop that, Jungkook,” Taehyung called out over the laughter. Jungkook turned to him, confused. Taehyung tapped on his own lip, “It makes me want stuff too.”
Jungkook buried his face in his hand. Taehyung laughed. Adorable.

“Jingle bells. Jingle bells. Jingle all the wayyy....”
The mall was full. Crowds of families chattering joyfully as they made their way in and out of stores decorated brightly for the holidays. I sighed as I walked, shaking my head as I glanced down at the half marked off list. There was no way I was going to be able to get everything with this crowd.
My stomach growled, signalling to me just how long I’d been wandering around. With another sigh I turned around and began making my way towards the food court.
“Ya! I told you the audio equipment store was on the second floor! This is what you get for not listening to me?”
Was that Korean?
I glanced around, not sure if I was hearing right. I’d taken several korean classes last semester so that I could intern in Seoul over the summer, but hearing the language in an over crowded mall threw me a little.
A group of young men stood huddled around one of the large mall displays, staring intently at the mall map while arguing among themselves.
“Hyung, I thought you were an expert in English, how come we’ve been going around in circles for the last hour?” One of the younger men pouted, running a hand through his silver colored hair as another with golden blonde hair hung off of him with his arms wrapped around his neck.
“I can read it just fine! It’s not my fault maps are so confusing to follow.” The pink haired young man that spoke tugged down the black mask covering the lower half of his face as he squinted at the map. His face was laced with confusion as he glanced around, trying to spot the escalators leading to the upper floors.
“Aish...couldn’t we just stop someone and ask? Wouldn’t it be easier that way?” The red haired man speaking stepped away from the group, staring around at the crowd flowing along to either side of them.
“We don’t want to draw attention to ourselves Hobi. It’s bad enough we all decided to come out together…” The one with mint green hair smacked the one called Hobi on the chest.
“I swear if I hear Jingle bells one more time I’m going to riot…” The youngest of the group gagged, turning away from them. Noticing me staring he stiffened, elbowing the brown haired man standing next to him.
“Hyung...hyung she’s staring.” He muttered, causing me to blush immediately.
“I...I’m sorry I didn’t mean to stare.” I hastily said, stepping forward and shifting the ungodly amount of bags hanging off of my shoulder.
The 7 men turned to look at me, those wearing face masks pulling them into place to cover their faces.
“I couldn’t help but hear you all speaking in Korean and well...if you’re lost…”
The pink haired man, the one I sort of assumed was the leader of the group stepped forward. “You speak korean well Miss.”
I blushed, bowing my head slightly in thanks. “I took a bunch of classes. My seonsaeng said I took well to the language and referred me to a company her cousin works at for a summer internship.Some...music company called Big Fit...or..was it Big Hit...I think that’s it. It’s an up and coming music company. And since I’m majoring in MDI and entertainment management she thought it would be a great opportunity for me.”
The men all visibly stiffened when I mentioned the company, but I decided not to pay it any attention considering just how nervous they were already acting. Of course, it was an unfamiliar country, and they were surrounded by a madhouse full of people that didn’t speak a word of their native language. No wonder, I would be nervous too.
Flashing a bright smile I waved at the map. “Don’t worry, doesn’t matter what language it’s in a mall map will forever remain confusing.”
The guys chuckled, visibly relaxing.
“Hey...do you think you could show us around?” The redhead who’s name I’d heard as Hobi earlier asked. He smiled, his face lighting up like a ray of sunshine.
The two younger men grinned, slinging an arm around each other as they leaned in closer. “Hey yea! Having such an adorable translator would be great!” The silver haired man cheered.
“Much better looking than Namjoon hyung and his weird pink hair that’s for sure!” Said the youngest.
“Hey, Namjoon is doing his best Jungkook. With everything else he’s been having to translate lately it’s no wonder his brain is fried.” The blonde nudged himself in between the silver haired man and the youngest, draping an arm over each of them despite his shorter stature.
I couldn't help the giggle that bubbled up,covering my mouth with one hand while shifting the dozens of bags on my other arm. One slipped, causing the rest to shift and drop instantly to the floor. Something shattered.
“Shit…” Dropping to my knees I began shifting through the bags, panic filling me as I pulled out the ceramic figurine that I’d bought for my grandmother. “Nooo.” I whimpered, staring down at the broken bits of clay shifting around in the bottom of the box.
“Oh no! Is it broken?” The one they’d referred to as Namjoon dropped to his knees before me, gently taking the box from me and holding it up to the light. The one with mint green hair crouched down beside him, taking the box before standing back up again.
“It..it was for my grandmother…” I heaved a sigh, going back to rifling through the rest of the bags in case anything else was broken. Thankfully nothing else was.
Wiping at my face I shook my head to clear it. “S..sorry. It’s just...she collected those when she was alive...and...I wanted to bring one to her grave before...the year was out.”
“Hey,hey now don’t cry pretty lady.” The eldest of the group stepped forward, holding out a hand and helping me to my feet.
“I’m sure we can get another one to replace it.” Hobi smiled, placing a gentle hand on my shoulder. “I remember the map saying the figurine store was right next to the electronics store right Tae?”
The one with silver hair nodded, his adorable boxy smile spreading with ease. ”Yea, we were going to get ballerina figures for Suzy noona and the other wardrobe noonas!”
“Hey that’s perfect!” The blonde haired young man chirped, bouncing up and down happily. “We could get the pretty noona to help us with our shopping and we can help her carry her bags!”
To say I was blushing was the understatement of the century. 7 hot and obviously adorable guys walking around the mall with me? I died right? Had to have like...slid on a patch of black ice on the way to the mall and ended up in a ditch on the side of the road.
Yea...I’m in a coma at the hospital right now, breathing my last and this is God’s way of leading me into the afterlife.
“Hey, you alright?”
I blinked slowly, snapping back into reality to see a mint haired angel frowning down at me in concern as he slowly tugged down his mask.
Wait...angel? No, he was just a guy. Laughing to myself I shook my head.
“Sorry, yeah, I’m fine ah…”
“Yoongi, Min Yoongi.” He smiled before turning to the others.
“That’s Taehyung, or Tae.” The one with silver hair waved cheerfully.
“Namjoon our unofficial leader and self proclaimed expert in English.” The pink haired man nodded shyly, tugging off his mask as well and smiling just enough to show off the most adorable dimples I’d ever seen.
“The red head is Hoseok but we like to call him Hobi or Jhope, depending on the situation. The blonde shorty is Jimin.”
“Hey I’m not a shorty! I’m only a centimeter shorter than you hyung!” Jimin pouted, his arms folded over his chest in a mock pout.
Yoongi shook his head, waving Jimin away before continuing. “The youngest of us is Jungkook better known as Muscle head. And our eldest is Jin.” The two nodded, the eldest throwing me a wink to die for while the youngest blushed and ducked his head in a bow.
“Watch out for Jin, he’s puns are only as deadly as his idea that he’s…” Yoongi whispered to me but was almost immediately interrupted.
“World Wide Handsome at your service!” Jin announced, offering my another wink and a flying kiss that seemed like it was second nature to him.
Shaking my head I chuckled, catching the imaginary kiss and blowing one back.
“Ya!” Jin clutched at his chest dramatically, staggering into Hobi who grabbed onto him and then spun him away to face plant right into the mall map.
The group of men broke into various states of laughter. Namjoon helped Jin regain his footing, patting him gently on the shoulder.
“I’ve never had one blown back. Be still my beating heart!” Jin shook his head in an exaggerated movement and I couldn’t help the giggle that escaped at his antics.
“Alright you’ve convinced me.” I announced to the cheers of those gathered around me. Hobi and Jimin grabbed my bags as Jungkook and Taehyung shoved Yoongi out of the way and hooked their arms with mine.
“Alright new prettier leader! Lead the way!” They shouted, dang near in unison before beginning to tug me along with them.
“Uh...guys?” I snickered, pulling the two energetic boys to a stop. “Escalator's the other way.” The two stopped, staring at each other and blinking slowly.
“Oh...right…” Tae said as I detached myself from them and turned around to the rest of the group.
“Guys you don’t have to carry my bags. Honest I can carry them myself.” I tried to take the bags back but, seeing as the two were much taller than me, they simply danced out of reach while holding the bags over my head and giggling.
“Now now, it’s the least we can do.” Yoongi said, giving me a shy smile as he ducked his head in the direction of the escalators.
“Yoongi hyung’s right.” Hobi said as he tugged the bags he held over his shoulder. “You’re helping us out and we really don’t want anything else breaking right? Besides, the 7 of us are great company, we promise you’ll have the most fun you’ve ever had shopping.”
Jin moved beside me, offering me his arm with an adorable grin on his face.
“Me lady?” He asked, his eyes sparkling with humor.
Patting his arm I grinned. “Nice arm you got there Jin hyung.”
Yoongi burst into laughter, shoving a stunned Jin forward who stumbled before regaining his footing.
“Come on guys, enough playing around we’ve got shopping to do and we don’t want to waste Miss..ah...wait.” Namjoon suddenly looked unsure of himself.
“Y/n. Y/n Y/ln.” Sticking out my hand Namjoon shook it enthusiastically.
“Right! We don’t wanna waste Miss y/n’s time.”
“Ew, please just y/n. Calling me Miss makes me sound all old.” I cringed, throwing him a reassuring smile as his friends laughed at his awkwardness.
Jimin bounced forward, grabbing my hand and swinging it happily. “Alright! Let’s go shopping!”
***
Several stores and a load more bags dispersed between the 7 men later found us standing just outside a store catering to hats. Something Jungkook and Yoongi had seemed so enthusiastic about that the boys and I couldn’t help but allow them to browse to their heart’s content.
We’d stopped at the food court for a quick bite to eat, something entertaining in itself considering my escorts. Jungkook and Jin had competed in an eating contest, to the pure entertainment of Taehyung, Hoseok, and Jimin. The two had cheered them on to the point that Yoongi and Namjoon had to step in and shush them before they drew attention to themselves.
Not really sure why the attention would have bothered them, but I didn’t think much of it considering I’d sort of agreed with them. With the crowds the way they were it was a surprise there hadn’t been any riots yet or the sound of sobbing children.
I leaned up against the wall just outside of the hat store, my eyes restlessly scanning the crowd of chattering families rushing by.
“Something bothering you?” Hobi asked, his shoulder bumping into mine as he came up to stand beside me. He’d pulled his face mask back on but I could tell he was worried for me by the crease in his eyebrows.
“I don’t know honestly. Something just feels off…” My voice trailed off and I shook the feeling away, shooting him a smile that I hoped reassured him more than it did me.
“Hey if something’s bothering you or you have to go we’ll understand.” Jimin said from the other side of me, his face looking equally concerned.
“No..no I’m sure it’s nothing. Crowds just make me nervous is all. Bad things always tend to happen when we least expect it…” I shrugged, waving Yoongi and Jungkook down as they made their way out of the store, another few bags added to the several they already held.
“Jeeze, with all the shopping you guys have done a girl would think you were buying gifts for an army.” I giggled, shaking my head and turning away to march on. What I didn’t notice was the wide eyed look the boys gave each other.
“She isn’t one is she?” Tae asked Yoongi as they lagged a few steps behind the rest.
“Nah, I think we would have caught her slipping up by now if that were the case.” Yoongi’s voice was reassuring enough and his words seemed to placate Taehyung for the time being.
A few stores down though, Tae immediately brightened, Rushing up to where Namjoon and I were chatting away.
“Hyung! Noona! Wait! It’s..it’s!!” He pointed at the store to our left and my eyes widened almost as much as Tae’s did.
“The Gucci store!” We said almost in unison.
The others groaned, each shaking their head or dragging their groan out in exaggerated exasperation.
“Not you too! And here I thought you were normal like the rest of us.” Jin grumbled, but Tae and I didn’t hear him.
Instead, hooking our arms together we raced into the store, skidding to a stop and staring gap mouthed at the dazzling displays around us.
“Tae look it’s the limited edition Christmas beanie!” I squealed, dragging him over to the display.
“I thought they were only selling a thousand of them!” He groaned, his fingertips reaching out as if he wanted to touch it but was too afraid it was a mirage.
“Ohhhh Taeeee.” I dragged him deeper into the store, the others trailing not far behind as they spread out to browse the merchandise as well.
“Tae Tae oh my god you would look so good in this suit!” I fingered the grey material, admiring the darker grey patterning printed throughout.
“Aiyooo...You’re not wrong.” His eyes scanned the length of it, admiring it from all sides as my attention drew elsewhere.
“Oh...oh yes!” I skipped over to where Yoongi stood, admiring a display of silk chokers printed with the signature gucci pattern. Snagging one with small colorful flowers printed on it I grinned at Yoongi before darting away. He laughed to himself, finding my actions endearing.
“Alright Tae, close your eyes!” He giggled and obliged, drawing the attention of Jungkook and Jimin who both wandered over to see what we were up to.
Jin glanced over, nudging Namjoon in the side and pointing in our direction.
Dramatically as I could I stood on tiptoe, reaching around him from the back and draping the choker over his throat. He flinched and chuckled nervously.
“What are you up to?” He asked, his voice slightly wavering with nerves.
“Ah! No peeking!” Jimin giggled, covering Tae’s eyes with his adorably small hands.
“Alright, alright.” Taehyung mumbled, bending his knees slightly so that I didn’t have to stretch as far.
With slow dramatic movements I cinched the clasp on the choker, tying the extra material into a loose bow before bouncing back on the heels of my feet.
“Okay just one more second.” Motioning to the suit behind Jungkook I grinned. He caught on quickly, gently taking the grey suit Tae and I had been eyeing earlier and handing it over to me. I tugged at Tae’s arm, grinning all the while as I led him over to the large mirrors lining one of the store’s walls.
A mother and her young daughter entered the store at that moment, the little girl’s eyes opening wide at the sight greeting her. I grinned over at her, wrinkling my nose and placing one of my fingers to my lips to keep her quiet. She giggled, covering her mouth with both hands and bouncing over to stand in front of a still blinded Taehyung.
“Alright Tae, arms out wide.” He did as I asked, almost as if used to being dressed. The girl giggled again as I slid the suit jacket onto his arms, coming around to the side to adjust it along his front. As he lowered his arms to his side I nodded to Jimin, who gave the little girl a knowing grin laced with the sweetest sugar as he removed his hands from Tae’s eyes.
“Alright, open.”
He complied, blinking a moment to adjust his vision once more to the glaring lights before staring at himself slack jawed in the mirror. “Holy…”
“Wow mister you look so handsome!” The little girl spoke English, and as I quickly translated for her Tae couldn’t help but grin down at her before giving her a coy wink.
She broke out into helpless giggles, covering her mouth with both hands once again as she darted away to where her mother browsed sunglasses beside Namjoon.
“Momma, momma, this place has all the handsome men!” She pointed to the boys in turn before tugging on her mother’s jacket sleeve.
“Momma, this place is better than the toy store!”
Namjoon chuckled, flashing her a dimple filled grin. “Why thank you little Miss.” He said in clear english.
Hobi took the opportunity to make an absolute ham of himself, crouching down before the girl.
“Would you like to see me dance?” His English was a little bit more broken, glancing up at Namjoon with a quirk of his eyebrow. At Namjoon’s approving nod he grinned brighter, turning back to the girl to see her reaction.
Her eyes widened as Jungkook and Jimin came over, each with dazzling smiles of their own as they joined Hobi in the more open section of the store. They nodded at each other before breaking out into synchronized dance. They dipped and swirled, dodging around each other with moves they’d obviously practiced a hundred times before. Tae began singing, to which Jin quickly joined in and despite the fact that they were dancing Jimin and Jungkook joined in as well.
“Day by day, summer, winter, even if you don’t know, you got the best of me!”
Even if they were singing in Korean the little girl was enthralled, clapping her hands together and even attempting to spin the way the boys were. She collapsed against her mother, all smiles and breathless giggles as the impromptu mini performance came to an end.
The employees cheered and clapped as the mother thanked the heavily breathing dancers, complimenting them on their moves and voices. I stood beside Yoongi, taking it all in with a massive grin on my face though he scowled slightly in turn.
I nudged him gently, nodding my chin in their direction as I asked, “They do that often?”
“Only every chance they get.” He said begrudgingly with a shake of his head. “It’s going to get them in trouble on of these days you just watch.” Though his words came off as grumpy his tone didn’t and I could tell he really didn’t mean it by the fond look in his eyes as he watched the group of men fawn over their new young fan.
The door of the store dinged, drawing my attention to the three men that’d made their way into the store. They wore all black and black surgical masks similar to the ones the boys were using but these guys were obviously locals. I nudged Yoongi, who nodded but kept his eyes averted. He’d noticed them as well. Letting out a low whistle he caught Namjoon’s attention who, without drawing attention to himself began wrangling up the others.
“Alright, since our adorable new fan loved this outfit so much I’m buying it.” Taehyung announced as he and Jimin joined Yoongi and I by the wallets.
“Oh sure, I put you in it and it’s passable. But the cute little girl fawns over it and all of a sudden it’s worth buying.” I pretended to pout, turning away from Tae and crossing my arms over my chest.
“Awww, hey don’t be like that. I was talking about you not the little girl.” Tae wrapped his arms around me,lifting me up and spinning me around. I squealed, giggling as I smacked his arms.
“Tae put her down!” Namjoon stepped in, Jin and the others trailing behind him.
Taehyung obliged, setting my delicately on me feet. I stumbled forward into Hobi’s arms, slightly breathless and still full of giggles.
“Ya! Tae you’ve barely known her a few hours you can’t just pick her up like that.” Jin scolded him, smacking him on the back of the head and Namjoon drowned and nodded in agreement.
“Awww, hyung I didn't mean any harm. She was upset and I wanted to cheer her up. And besides! It may have only been a few hours but it feels like we’ve known her forever.” Tae pouted, hanging his head.
“Tae’s right.” Jimin patted the pouting boy on the arm. “She really feels like one of us. Like we reunited with a long lost friend.”
“Definitely haven’t felt like I’ve been hanging with a stranger.” Jungkook joined in, shooting me a massive grin.
“Guyyysss.” I hid my blushing face in Hobi’s arm. My heart glowed with warmth from their kind words.
How is it I could have met such amazing people and formed such an amazing bond with them over such a short period of time?
“Gotta be a coma...yep, definitely standing in front of Saint Peter…”
Yoongi chuckled. “No y/n it’s not a coma. You’re awake we promise.”
“Oh God you heard that?” I squealed, grabbing Hobi’s arms and shoving him in front of me to hide behind him.
The group burst into laughter, reaching around Hobi to pat my arm or say sweet things to cover my embarrassment.
But the laughter was cut short almost instantly. A gunshot rang through the air. I could hear the little girl scream along with her mother as the boys shoved me behind them.
I could feel Jin and Hobi trembling as they held onto me protectively but I couldn’t see much that was going on around their broad shoulders. As I pushed past them more shots rang out.
“Everybody on the ground! Backs up against the wall.”
“Anybody move or try anything stupid and I'm blowing this little shit’s brains all over these fancy ass suits.”
What...what the hell?
My instincts had been right. The three creepy men from earlier....they were behind all this noise.
One stood in front of the doors, a massive semi automatic weapon in hand as he scanned the halls just outside the store. Another stood over by the register, his own weapon held right in the employee’s faces. The third had the little girl in his arms, a pistol pointed right at her temple as she cried and struggled in his arms.
“Please, don’t hurt my baby!” The mother sobbed as Namjoon held tightly to her, keeping her from moving the wrong way and making the men any more aggressive than they already were.
“Shut the fuck up! Everybody get back! Right now!” The one with the little girl waved his gun at us and everyone immediately backed up, huddling together in fear.
“Alright..good...good.” The one pointing his gun at the employees nodded. “If everybody stays calm, then nobody gets hurt and we’ll be in and out. You’ll never have to see us again.”
“That’s right everybody get back!” The one with the child returned the barrel of the gun to the sobbing child’s head, causing her to cry out in fear and the mother to resume her struggles against Namjoon’s arms.
“Please Miss just calm down. Calm down everything is going to be alright.” Namjoon pulled her against his chest, hiding her face so that she wouldn’t have to witness her endangered child’s fear.
“Boss we got 20 and counting.” The goon by the door shouted back into the store.
The apparent leader nodded, motioning his gun towards the store employees. “Alright, empty the register, all the change too. No receipts just the cash.”
The two strung out employees hurried to obey, opening the two registers and beginning to pull out bills and stuffing them into the gucci bag the assailant had provided. After the tills had been emptied he motioned once again towards the rest of us huddled against the wall.
“Alright over you get. I want everyone lined up single file against the wall. No complaints, my associate over there tends to be pretty trigger happy and I won’t be held accountable for what he’s capable of.”
Everyone rushed to comply, standing single file as instructed. I stood between Jimin and Yoongi, Yoongi to my left and Jimin on my right. Yoongi’s fists were clenched with rage and he ground his teeth as if he were ready to do something. I gently took his hand in mine, bringing his furious gaze to mine.
Slowly I shook my head, no this wasn’t something we had any control over or a situation we could do anything about. I tried to communicate to him with my eyes, tried to tell him to stay calm until this was all over. His eyes softened as they held my gaze and he nodded in understanding.
“Alright. I need everyone to empty their pockets. Wallets, cash, cellphones, all in the bags right now.” The leader stood in front of us, going down the line one by one as each person emptied their pockets as told.
Christ...because my day wasn’t weird enough...here I am being freaking robbed...because meeting a bunch of super hot and talented Korean men wasn’t enough, from one extreme to the other right?
Tossing my wallet into the bag was no problem, but my phone gave me pause. It had the only pictures of me and my grandpa on it. I stared down at it as my hand hovered over the bag.
“Hey, we ain’t got time for this, hurry up and put it in the fucking bag bitch!” He yelled, the little one screamed, I dropped my phone instantly into the bag. Sorry grandpa...I’m sorry.
The leader moved on, and when he’d turned his back I saw my chance. I rushed forward, trying to snatch the gun out of his hand, maybe if I could get control of it...But no, he was too quick, and a lot bigger than me. He snatched his arm back, elbowing me in the face before smashing the butt of the gun into the side of my head.
“Fucking stupid bitch!” He shoved me back into the line up. Taehyung and Jin managed to catch me before I hit the floor but I couldn’t tell. All I could see was stars...stars and a bright red rim of anger clouding my vision.
“15 and counting boss.” Yelled the goon by the door.
15...15 till what? Until the cops get here? Until the alarm goes off? As Jin helped steady me on my feet I glanced around. The boys were afraid, I could tell from the way Hobi and Taehyung were clinging to each other. From Jimin’s eyes, wide and filled with tears. Jungkook and Namjoon were quiet, both visibly trembling but trying hard to stay calm in the situation. And Yoongi, Yoongi glared death at the men, as if his look alone could stop them dead where they stood. I had to do something. I had to fix this. The mother looked inconsolable, and I could understand her fear. If I could just...distract them or...get the girl away from the freak with the pistol.
I saw my moment, the leader had his back turned to us once again. And as he spoke to to his idiot compatriot the man lowered his gun from the girl’s head.I slipped out of Jin’s grip, slowly pulling the small bottle of mace I kept in my back pocket out and popping the cap to get ready.
Moving slowly so as not to attract attention I stepped forward. I could see Yoongi watching me, tensing up as if he knew what I was going to do. He nudged Jungkook in the side, bringing the younger man’s attention to me and I brought my focus back to the two infront of me.
It happened in a blur, a steady stream of mace to the guy with the girl’s eyes, snagging her and shoving at the leader at the same time while pushing her back towards Jungkook. The two men screamed, unsure as to what had happened. The maced moron screamed in pain more than anything else, having dropped his weapon in favor of clawing at his eyes. The leader turned, eyes wild as he scanned those pressed up against the wall. His eyes landed on Jungkook and he raised his weapon. Yoongi rushed forward, snagging the dropped gun on the floor but the leader was too quick.
He pulled the trigger, I jumped forward.
A white hot pain laced through my abdomen as I fell to the floor.
“Y/n!” Namjoon?
… I ...can feel his arms, dragging me out of the way. I crack my eyes open to see what’s happening. Yoongi has the gun pressed against the leader’s temple now…
My eyes close as the burning pain spreads...I can feel...warmth...spreading down my legs.
Christ...I didn’t pee myself did I??? N...no…
I open my eyes to glance down again...thank god...no...it’s just blood...don’t think I could live that down if I peed myself in front of all these hot guys…
“Easy there y/n I got you.” I smile up at Namjoon, my arm wrapped tightly around my stomach as I look up again.
Jimin’s taken the gun from the door goon...Taehyung is calling the cops.
“N..Namjoon go help them I’m fine.” My voice...why does it sound like I’m whispering?
But he hears me, he moves away, going to comfort the mother who’s clinging desperately to her daughter. Good...she’s s...safe…
My eyes dart around, Hobi’s got the employees...they’re crying. Ha! Yea I would be too if I had...the...energy…

Jimin’s pov
***
I held tightly to the weapon, still trembling from the adrenaline and fear of the situation. In all my years...I don’t think I’ve ever even seen a real gun, let alone holding one like this? I shake my head, glaring at the man on his knees before me. Doesn’t matter what his reason for what he did is, him and his buddies threatened a little kid. I hope they rot for it.
Finally the police arrive, I hand over the weapon to one of the officers and sigh in relief. I can feel the energy slowly draining out of my muscles. Dance practice is nothing compared to what we’ve gone through.
My eyes scan the store, now crowded with people, collecting evidence and cuffing the perps, questioning the witnesses. Namjoon’s talking to one, explaining that we’re from Korea and don’t speak English I’m guessing. Jungkook walks over, his eyes still kind of wild, probably from nerves.
“Hey, Kookie it’s alright.” I try to make my voice soft as I pull my young friend into a hug. It’s easy for me to step into the roll of comfort, it’s what I’m best at. Tae comes over and the three of us crowd together, foreheads pressed together and arms clutching desperately at cloths.
“It’s okay guys, we’re alive, everyone’s alright.” I look around again, see Yoongi hyung comforting Hobi hyung and Jin hyung. Good, they’re alright too.
“Wait..” I pause, panic gripping at my chest. “Where’s y/n?”
Shoving Taehyung off of me I rush to the back of the store, to the place we’d been lined up.
My eyes widen.
My stomach drops to my feet.
I can feel nausea creeping in at the sight before me.
“Oh god there’s so much bl…” I can hear Jungkook and Tae right behind me. One of them is throwing up.
“Shit, shit SHIT!” I’m screaming as I drop down beside her, grabbing at her hands to see where the damage is. There’s a gaping hole...right where her stomach should have been.
“J...Jiminie?” Her voice oh god it’s so weak. She struggles to open her eyes as I smile down at her through the tears.
“Hey, hey there it’s alright I’m here.” I gather her into my arms despite...there’s...so much blood everywhere...why? Why did this happen?
“She...she was trying to..she saved my life…” Jungkook drops to his knees to the other side of her.
“Oh...Kookie...you’re okay..” She smiles weakly at him, reaching out a trembling hand that he grabs almost instantly.
“Yea, yea I’m okay.” He whispers between sobs. “No no, Kookie don’t cry it’s…”she chokes on her words and as she coughs a fresh flow of blood cascades from her lips.
“Y/n no, don’t talk.” Namjoon is beside me, holding her free hand as I cradle her head in my lap. “You’ve got to save your strength, the ambulance is on the way.”
I can’t hold the sobs anymore, leaning my forehead against hers as the pain of the situation rips at my heart.
“Please y/n just...listen to hyung. It’s going to be okay, you just gotta stay awake okay?” I’m begging her and she laughs.
“Silly Jiminie, I’m okay, I’ll be okay...soon as I can feel my legs that is.”
“How can you even make jokes right now?” Hobi’s wiping at his face as he laughs a bitter laugh.
I look up and the other’s are crowded around, each staring down heartbroken.
Yoongi turns away, tears streaming down his cheeks as he clutches at his midsection. Jin catches him just as he drops to the floor.
“Mmm..Jiminie you’re so warm.” Her voice is even weaker and I smile down at her. “Yea, I’m good for warm cuddles. You’ll find out soon as we get you to the hospital and all recovered. I promise I’ll give you all the…” My voice chokes and the tears burn like fire in my throat. “All the warm cuddles you want…”
She closes her eyes, her breathing...it looks like she’s giving everything for each breath…
“No y/n, please just stay awake. Talk to us y/n please?” Namjoon’s begging her, his hands on hers with a white knuckled grip.
She gives off a weak giggle, one choked off by another round of coughing and gagging on her lifes blood. “Talk to you? But you’re angels.Beautiful angels.” She stopped talking as her eyes drifted closed once again.
“Y/n please, stay with us!!” I can’t help but beg her, though her face is blurred by my own acid hot tears.
“Mmm...such sweet angels. I was so blessed to meet you. Stay sweet..okay? Don’t f..f…..forget what you mean to...each…...other….”
No...oh god...her body..it’s gone limp.
I can hear screaming...a high pitched noise deafening me to nothing but the screaming. Is...is that me?
I’m clutching her body desperately to me, despite it’s lifeless state. The paramedics arrive too late. Yoongi hyung’s screaming at them that they’re too late. She’s gone...they’ve taken her...she’s gone...she’s...gone…
*Six months later*
A hush falls over the crowd. Seven men stand on stage, solemn and stoic as they gaze over a stadium filled to the brim with their fans.
Namjoon smiles, waving to everyone before lifting his mic to his lips.
“Six months ago, the seven of us decided to take a little vacation in the US. We wanted some time off, to just exist as people, remind ourselves that we were human and not super star robots designed to churn out music every chance we got.”
The others laugh though Yoongi stays silent, staring down at the ground with his hands crossed before him. He steps forward, lifting the mic so that he can speak.
“One day we decided to take a trip to the mall, it was a few days before Christmas. And we met...someone. So unique and so inspiring that we all became instant friends.”
Hobi joins in, a large grin on his face as he seems to be lost in his memories. “That person didn’t see us as celebrities, and it was amazing. For the first time we were just...us. A group of guys shopping and enjoying ourselves and just being normal.”
“It felt amazing, not having to worry about being the best or watching what we said or how we acted. We were good enough the way we were.” Jin smiles sadly as he stares down at the stage. “She even laughed at all of my dad puns, and it was real laughter she actually got the puns and thought they were funny.” He shakes his head, glancing over to Tae.
Taehyung stands still, staring up at the lights illuminating them. His eyes fill with tears as he remembers her smiling face. “She...was so bright. And she cared so much. All because we caused her to break a gift to her grandmother.”
“Things went wrong quick…” Jungkook sniffs, wiping at the tears streaming down his face. “We were caught in the middle of a robbery and...she...saved me...took a bullet for me…” He dissolved into tears and turned to bury his face in Taehyung’s shoulder.
Jimin steps forward, his eyes brimming with tears as he turns to the giant screen behind him. It lights up, pictures showing up from that day. Selfies she’d taken or the boys had taken. Different shots of them walking together, Jungkook and Jin gorging on food in the food court, her laughing at Namjoon sheepishly held out a broken pair of sunglasses out to a store clerk.
The final picture shows her standing beside Taehyung in the outfit she’d picked out for him, the very outfit he wore on stage.
“Her parents are here today. And we just...wanted to apologize, for not doing more. For not trying harder to save her. We...don’t deserve the forgiveness you so willingly gave us. Because of her we are better, we love harder, we grow stronger as a family. And so..we dedicated this song to her.”
Jimin moves to the edge of the stage and the lights turns low, a single spotlight focusing on him as the music begins to play. The stadium remains quiet, ARMY bombs, glittering through the crowd and shining the light of her favorite color. Jimin parts his lips and begins to sing.
“None of this is a coincidence
I’m just going with the flow
The world is different from yesterday
Just with your joy
When you call me
I go to your flower
As if I’ve been waiting”

(Part 2) Fated to Love Just You: BTS Mafia!au
Pairing: Reader x Hoseok// Reader x Jungkook
Genre: Angst/Fluff
Warnings: Mild cursing, mentions of blood
Word count: 1,766
A/N Thank you for reading, hope you enjoy this chapter (:
Part 1   Part 2   Part 3
If you had known parties were this boring, you would’ve stayed at home. It seems as if everyone there already had friends of their own to have fun with.
“Maybe I should've brought Jaebum…?” You wondered but immediately rid yourself of the thought. Worrying about yourself would be easy but having another member to look out for was pressure you did not need.
“Uh, you okay?” The stranger said tapping your shoulder pulling you from your thoughts. Oh and then there was this stranger. Sure he was nice and everything but you didn’t want to be an anchor to him keeping him from talking to his friends (Which seemed to be almost every girl in the club…) He would leave you every once in awhile to talk to others but would always find himself back at your side. He either really liked talking to you or just wasn’t fond of all the other females in the club practically throwing themselves at him You couldn’t blame them to be honest, he was quite the looker even with the mask.
“Yea sorry, just kind of parched. I’ll go get us some drinks.” You smiled at him. He seemed hesitant to let you go by yourself.
“I’m pretty sure she already thinks I’m weird for not leaving her alone… Just let her go.” Hoseok thought. He nodded and you finally set off. Your eyes scanned the room until it landed on the grand table near the back entrance. You stood shocked at the amount of delicacies on the silver platters. The food you’ve been so accustomed to from headquarters looked like scraps compared to all the food laid out before you. As you continued to stare you felt cold liquid make contact with your hand. You looked down to realize in your process of gaping you spilled the water you were pouring.
“Shit,” You said out loud looking for any napkins nearby.
“Here you go,” A voice beside you said causing you to jump. You looked up to be met with a boy gapingly taller than you. You muttered a thanks as you accepted the napkins in his hand held out to you.
“No problem.” He said through his mask which covered his whole face. You started to feel weird vibes when he just stood there watching you clean up not saying another word. Wanting to get away from him as fast as possible, you hurriedly poured water into to cups-extra careful this time- and turned to look for the kind stranger. It was as if the DJ wanted you to struggle even more because it was at that very moment that he changed the calm rnb song into a crazy EDM one. Everyone started going wild as the dancing picked up speed making it even harder to find your familiar stranger.
“Looking for someone?” A voice called out over the loud music. You met face to face with the weird individual yet again. You ignored him and ran into the crowd to lose him.
“What the hell is taking her so long?” Hoseok thought as he nodded pretending to be listening to the conversation among the people that crowded him.
“Is she even part of that gang when she can’t complete such a simple task.” He said starting to push through the dancing bodies to look for you. He was about to ask someone if they had seen you when someone pushes past him quickly.
“How rude… they didn’t even say fucking sorry. What could he be chasing so passionately like a dog-” Hoseok thought, his eyes following the, at this point, running man when he realized. He stared at the girl holding her dress to be able to run faster. The elegant hair style falling apart. The mask threateningly close to fall off. It was you. Hoseok cursed under his breath as he ran to catch up with the man. Normally if saw an incident like this any other day with any other person he would’ve just watched. Hell, sometimes he would be the one doing the chasing. But today was different. You were his target and his alone. If anyone was going to have you, it would be him.
Your steady walking turned to quick steps and before you knew it you were running from this freak. How the tables have turned. Usually it’s people running from you. So this is how victims feel huh.
You found yourself cornered against a wall cursing at how small the club was.
“Damn for a girl you sure can run fast.” The man said as he slowly approached you out of breath. You looked around for a water bottle, a fork, a dessert: anything to throw and buy yourself some time. Your eyes landed on an empty wine bottle close to your legs. You had dropped the cups of water in the midst of running and now you just had to get the glass bottle without him noticing.
“Why are you doing this? There are dozens of girls here you could harass, why me?” You say attempting to get him to start talking as you slowly reach down for the bottle.
He chuckled at your question. “Almost all these girls have had their eyes on one person in this whole entire room. That idiot who just doesn’t seem to leave your side. What’s so good about you that that asshole wants? That’s what I wanna know.” He replied. What stupid motivation. But that was all the time you needed as you finally managed to grab the bottle.
“Guess you’ll never find out!” You wink about to throw the glass bottle at him when he yells in pain. You lower the bottle in confusion. You hadn’t even thrown it yet, why is he yelling? He suddenly falls to the ground and you see your saviour, the kind stranger behind him.
“Seem’s like I was right on time.” He says flashing you a smile. You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding in relief. You were about to thank him when you hear police sirens outside.
“Fuck.” You both thought starting to panic.
“Have we really stooped this low.” Seokjin sighed as he turned the car onto the street of the club.
“No, this is just officer duties.” Namjoon replied sounding more like he was trying to convince himself.
“They should get the low rank officers then! Namjoon our squad is supposed to be one of the most esteemed among Seoul’s Police! We shouldn’t be the ones having to stop these stupid club parties just because they were playing music too loud.” Jungkook ranted from the backseat. Namjoon chuckled at the youngest member’s enthusiasm.
“Your passion is admirable, but it’s just our punishment for not being able to catch that tulip gang.” The leader replied staring out the window.
“Cherry Blossom gang…” Jungkook corrected under his breath. He was beyond frustrated. It was his goal, his dream to become one of the best police officers. He aced every exam in training-both physical and written and he was finally here. Yet he didn’t imagine this is how he’d be spending his days. Jungkook was glad he had Seokjin and the leader Namjoon by his side however. He had always heard of officers accepting bribes and abusing their powers but when it came time for him to choose what squadron he wanted to work for, Jungkook instantly fell for Namjoon’s Freedom Mirage. His oath to live a life of honesty had more than inspired Jungkook and here he was today working alongside his role model.
“Jungkook get the megaphone and start from the back. Jin search for the owner of the club and initiator of the party. I’ll go inside and settle things with the DJ.” Namjoon commanded his team. Everyone split to their jobs.
“We should-” You start to say.
“Let’s leave from the back they always check there last.” Your stranger friend interrupted. You admired his quick thinking but of course he was probably used to this as he was a frequent visitor of this place.
“Hey, I never got your name!” You suddenly remembered as he pulled you by the hand outside.
“Tch, have I gained her trust that quickly? She’s so naive it’s almost cute.” Hoseok thought.
“I believe I should get yours first, since I did rescue you after all.” He replied with a cunning smile as he inched closer and closer to you.
“E-Eh?” You stuttered, flustered by the sudden incoming contact. So sudden you didn’t notice as his hand reached into your purse to grab your phone. Your real phone. The phone which had all the information on the Gray Cherry Blossoms starting from phone numbers to family to house addresses to mission access. All so close, all within Hoseok’s reach.
“Hey! What are you guys doing!” A voice calls from behind a megaphone. Hoseok nimbly takes his hand from the purse, failing to get the phone. Your attention snaps to the police officer running towards you at almost inhumane speed.
“My apologies miss but I’m afraid I must leave now. I have a feeling we’ll see eachother soon though.” Your acquaintance says starting to back away.
“Wait! Where will I be able to see you again?” You desperately call out surprising even yourself. Why are you so weak for him? He leaves you with an abrupt wink before running off away from the officer. And that was all you needed to feel as all oxygen in your body had been sucked out.
Cinderella’s fantasy ended with the clock striking 12 but yours ended with the obnoxious sound of a police officer’s megaphone going off. As he finally started to get close to where you were you sighed too used to running away from official authorities. You grab a smoke bomb from your purse and throw it down rushing off before it even explodes giving yourself a good 10 minutes to escape. Jungkook grabs some newspapers from the dumpster nearby in an attempt to rid the smoke. When it finally cleared up, he inspected the ground and found two things: The remains of the used smoke bomb, and a hot pink iPhone. He picked it up and gasped in realization. The very newspaper he had been using had the same phone on it’s cover.
“Stolen...Bank...This was the same day we tried to catch the Cherry Blossoms but failed...That girl! She must have some connection to them!” Jungkook though putting the pieces together.
“I’ve got to show this to Namjoon.” The ambitious officer said out loud as he put the phone in a Ziploc bag.

Proposal [Hoseok and Namjoon]
I’m not going to lie… I got lost in writing these and some are pretty long *cough cough* Hoseok’s is f***in long*cough cough*
Enjoy~
Hoseok
Tumblr media
Elfie was home in Georgia since her kindergarten was on a summer break. Deja and Kiara left the shop in the care of their employees with Stephanie manning the management of it. Elfie needed an escape from her shared apartment with Hoseok. He was away on a world tour and Elfie would be lying if she said she didn’t miss him. She had cried herself to sleep some nights because she missed him. She thought going home would do her some good.
Being home, she spent a lot of time out at the beaches, a place she went to when she needed to breath. It cured her of her homesickness being back with her mom, Deja, Kiara, and the family. However, the dull heartache lingered through her days.
Though she tried to push it off and not let it show, her family noticed her struggle. Kiara grew concerned enough that she contacted Hoseok. She knew Elfie wasn’t one for separation, but this was one of her worse ones yet. While talking to Hoseok, Kiara found out he hadn’t contacted Elfie in the last month which was when she had begun feeling worse. Kiara was prepared to snap at him until he explained why he hadn’t and that Deja knew everything. Hoseok told her about the tour taking him to Georgia and BTS had set aside three days to stay in Atlanta which was enough time for Hoseok to make an appearance in Savannah. Kiara sighed as she accepted his answer and decided to join in on the plan.
A couple of days later, Elfie woke up to a note on her pillow. With a yawn, she sat up and looked at it, “Get dressed in something cute and go get ice cream from your favorite ice cream parlor… Ask for Oreo Ice Cream and tell them your name?” She looked at the note in confusion and flipped to see a blank back, “This looks like Deja’s handwriting…” She crawled out of bed. She left her room and was greeted by silence. “Hello?” She headed down the stairs to see her mom with a magazine in hand. “Morning mom!”
Her mom looked up, “You’re not wearing that, are you?”
“What? No? I’m confused. What is all this?”
Her mom shut her magazine, “Now, you listen babygirl. I want ya up them stairs and you get yourself lookin presentable.”
Elfie was about to speak, but her mom shot her a look and Elfie straightened her back slightly scared of the look, “Yes ma’am.” Her mom shooed her and Elfie went back up stairs.
“WEAR COMFY SHOES, BABY!”
Elfie changed into one of her summer dresses. The top was a pink tube top style and the skirt of the dress was blue with little anchors with a slightly longer back. She checked the mirror just as her mom entered.
“Sit. Imma do ya hair” Elfie sat on the ground in front of her bed as her mom sat behind her. She put the brush through Elfie’s soft hair. “You know, this is to help your mood. Deedee and Kiki been worried you aren’t smilin much.”
Elfie looked down at her hands, “I know, ma… I just–I know Hoesok didn’t abandon me, but not hearing from him and being apart it hurts. I try not to go thinkin about the past, but I do…”
Her mom hummed as she worked on the fishtail braid, “I know, baby… But, you gotta let the past go. Hoseok, he a good man.”
“I know, ma… He’s perfect.”
“You’re all good” Elfie got up and checked her hair. Her mom left the bottom half of her hair down and a fishtail braid rested on top of it. “God gave you a great man, treasure him, ya hear?” Elfie nodded. “Now let’s go. We can’t keep everyone waitin” she ushered Elfie out of the house after she put on her sandals.
Elfie’s mom dropped her off at the ice cream parlor and drove off without another word leaving Elfie in confusion. She entered the shop and was greeted by the store owner, “Hi, can I get an Oreo ice cream?”
“Sure! Can I get a name?”
“Oh, Elfie.”
There was a twinkle in the owners eye, “Coming right up, Elfie!” He set off to make her cone. After making it, he handed her the cone and she held out her debit card. “Already paid for, sweetie. This is for you as well.” He slipped her a card. Elfie took it and thanked him as she looked at it.
You got your favorite ice cream, sunshine? Good. Now go to the beach you love and find the message in the bottle.
Her heart skipped a beat at the nickname. The handwriting looked familiar, but she couldn’t think of a name. “How am I going to get to Tybee from here?” She walked out of the ice cream store to see Kiara and her two cousins in a car waiting for her. Kiara waved her in and Elfie hurried in. “What’s going on?”
“Scavenger hunt of course! We’ll take you to the beach. You ready?” Seeing her nod, her cousin drove off towards the beach.
“Why are we doing this?”
Kiara looked back at Elfie from the passenger seat, “To help you” she replied. “You’ve been glum ever since Hoseok got on tour and thought this would be fun.”
Once at the beach, Kiara pointed out the direction of a blocked off area. “We reserved that part of the beach. Come back when you find the clue!”
Elfie looked around the beach that was empty. Her focus turned from the search to the ocean and she sighed. Her mind strayed back to Hoseok. Elfie knew she should focus, but she pulled out her phone and sent Hoseok a quick I love you and miss you <3 before she went back to work. When she turned back, she noticed something shine under the noon sun. She approached the item to see a bottle planted in the sand. She walked up to it and laughed, “A real message in a bottle!” She plucked off the cork and shook the message out. She laughed at her own struggle before the rolled up paper fell in her hand. Elfie quickly unrolled it to read:
If you STILL aren’t smiling and having fun, I will begin to think you aren’t human.Take the carriage around Calhoun Square and receive your last note.
Elfie laughed as she reread the note. “A carriage ride? Really?” She rushed up to her cousin’s car where only her oldest cousin, Jamal. “Where are the others?”
“They ain’t comin. Let’s go. I gotta pick up nana and pops.” Elfie jumped in the passenger seat and Jamal hit the gas.
Arriving downtown, Elfie got out of the car to see Deja in front of a carriage with a bouquet of flowers. “Ready for the tour?” Deja grinned as she passed the flowers to Elfie.
Elfie giggled, “Do I have a choice?” The coachman helped the two women on the carriage and he got into his spot before the carriage began to move. “We haven’t done something like this in years” Elfie smiled at the memories.
Deja nodded, “We used to bug ma all the time about it.”
“I remember when we climbed on one and we ended up in Orleans Square” the two laughed. “Ma about beat us to death for giving her heart failures.”
Deja clapped her hands as she laughed, “Ma really went for the kill, dude. She blamed her white hair on us and the incident.”
“I miss that…” Elfie sucked in a breath, “Ma and you are my world.”
Deja reached over and took Elfie’s hand, “We’re family, baby! We’re glue. You’re not getting rid of us… Same with Kiara, our dad even if he ain’t always around. He loves us. So do our cous. Hoseok loves you too.”
“Yea.. I’m pretty freakin lucky I got y’all, huh?”
As the carriage stopped in front of Forsyth Park, the two climbed out. “Here, these are for you!” Deja held out her hand with a note and a penny. Elfie took the note and read it.
You’re so close, sunshine! Go to Forsyth Fountain with your coin and make a wish. Though I’m sure I already know what it’ll be. ;)
Elfie shook her head as she took the coin from Deja. “Who wrote this?”
Deja shrugged, “You’ll find out. Have fun wishing! Say it out loud, okay?” She gave her a peace sign and headed off.
Elfie let out an exhausted sigh, “I don’t wanna walk after this” she complained. With the coin in hand, she headed to the center of Forsyth Park as she thought about what to wish for. She could do her usual wanting everyone she loves to be happy and healthy. However, she wanted to be selfish. Elfie let out a quiet laugh, “It’s just a wish. It’s not going to come true…” She shook her head as she stopped in front of the fountain and admired it. Her shoulder relaxed as she stared at the water. “I wanna be selfish this time… Sorry everyone.” A stray fell down her cheek. “I just miss him a lot right now… I want Hoseok to see this place. To go to the places I grew up around… I just—I just wish Hoseok was here with me.” She flipped the coin out of her hand and watched it slowly descended into the fountain water. Elfie watched it plop against the surface of the water and a bitter smile graced her face. “It’s just a wish. It’s not going to come true…” She reminded herself.
“Excuse me?” A voice with a thick accent sounded from behind her.
Elfie jumped, “Sorry, I’m in–” She turned to the person of the voice and her voice faltered.
Hoseok stood behind her wearing a polo shirt with a checkered front and shoulder blades with nice blue jeans. He smiled at her, “Hey sunshine.” Elfie said nothing as she threw her arms around his neck and pulled him close. He hugged her back tightly, “I love and miss you too” he whispered in her ear.
“What are you doing here? I thought you were on tour.” Elfie kept from crying, but swallowed a lump in her throat.
“I still am, but I heard you would be in Georgia when I was and decided to come out here and do what I have been wanting to do for months.” Hoseok pulled back from her and looked in her eyes. “I love you so much, Elfie. You know that, right?” She nodded which made him smile more. “You are my sunshine… my light in the darkness. I fall in love with you every time I see you, your eyes, and your smile. I fall in love a thousand times but it is always the same person and that will always be you. You made my life beautiful and meaningful.” He pulled out the ring box he had hidden and dropped to a knee in front of Elfie. “Will you marry me, Elfie?”
“YES! IS THAT EVEN A QUESTION?” Elfie squealed as she pressed her hand to her mouth. Hoseok placed the ring on her finger not caring of the crowd that had watched and clapped for them. Elfie pulled Hoseok up and hugged him, “Oh my gosh!” She let out a squeal. “I love you!”
Hoseok kissed her cheek, “I love you more, sunshine.”
Elfie stared at the ring on her finger then up at Hoseok breathlessly, “I feel like I’m going to wake up and find this all to be a dream…”
Hoseok tilted her chin up more, “I don’t mind showing you that this isn’t a dream.” He whispered before he pressed his lips to hers. After sharing a tender kiss, Hoseok lead her out of the park where Deja waited with a car to go back to the beach where her family and BTS set up a party for their engagement.
Namjoon
Tumblr media
Sierra had her suspicions when Namjoon texted her that he was taking her to The Lounge at 8. Namjoon wasn’t a spontaneous romantic. He would spring a date on her, but not something luxurious as The Lounge unless it was for something important. Sierra figures it was something to celebrate, so she was thankful that she had Deja do her hair the day before. She had gone back to the hair salon to get her nails done by Kiara.
She checked herself in the mirror. Sierra moved her long box braids until she approved of the style. She then stepped back to admire the dress she had bought. She decided to get a red sequins backless mermaid styles dress. The straps of the dress tied behind her neck and the dress gripped her curves perfectly. Since they were going to The Lounge, she wanted to make sure all eyes were on her.
Once prepared, she stepped out of the bedroom and went downstairs where Namjoon stood with her clutch in hand. He watched her descend the stairs and he licked his dry lips. “Do I look fine?” She asked as she fluttered her eyelashes.
“Fine doesn’t even begin to cover it” he wrapped his hand around her hip and guided her to him.
Sierra’s manicured fingers touched his chest and she flattened her palm against his jacket, “Damn, my man cleans up nice.” She fixed his handkerchief in his suit jacket pocket. She flashed him a smile as he leaned down and kissed her.
He pulled back slowly lingering just a little for more of a taste. His hand slid to her back and his fingers traced up her spine causing shivers in their wake. His head dipped down to her ear as she leaned her body closer to him craving his touch. “I’d like nothing more than to ravish you right now” he growled in her ear causing shivers up her spine.
Her nails dragged up his suit to his tie. She bit her lip at the idea and her lashes fluttered, “Though, I’m not entirely against the idea” Namjoon pressed his lips to her neck eliciting a moan from her. She sucked in air through her teeth as she pulled back, “We have a reservation, don’t we? Hate to be late.”
Namjoon smirked as he handed her the clutch, “You’re correct.” He held out his arm for her to take as he guided her out of the house with his hand on the small of her back and helped her into the car.
He stepped out of his car and rounded it to the passenger door. Namjoon passed the keys to valet as he opened the passenger door and helped Sierra out of his car. He felt like he was on the Hollywood red carpet with her with how stunning she looked. She flashed him a smile as he led her from the car. They were a power couple. They had enough confidence radiating off of them that they turn heads where they went. It was no difference as he escorted her inside the building. Namjoon felt she was the only one in the world who could match his ways. They approached the hostess and Namjoon gave her his name.
Sierra’s breath caught in her throat as she stared down at the night scene out side the panoramic window beside her. “It’s so breathtaking.”
Namjoon took a sip of his wine as he gave a quick glance at the view. He placed his glass down and smirked, “I think the view before me is much more breathtaking.”
Sierra’s lips parted slightly in surprise before she flashed an amused smile, “That was smooth. I’ll give you that.” She looked back at her menu, “Do you know what you’ll have?” His lips twitched and she gave him an are you for real look. “Don’t say it.” She pointed her finger at him.
Namjoon held up his hands and let out a deep laugh, “You caught me.” The waiter returned to the table to take their orders and he placed a vase filled with roses. After taking their orders, the waiter left. Namjoon slipped his hand over Sierra’s. He rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb and his eyes never left his hand. His smile fall slightly as he stared at her with a serious expression, “You know I love you, right Sierra?”
She gave him a soft smile, “Of course” she squeezed his hand. “I love you” her voice was sweet and low as she told him those three words.
Namjoon pressed her hand to his lips, “I would do anything to make you smile. It lights up my life and all the darkness in the world disappears. Sierra, you are the only one alive who truly understands me. You understand me better than even myself. You are the only one I can share everything with, even my darkest secrets. You’re my heart. My soulmate.”
Sierra’s smile reached her eyes as she had no words for what he said. She gave his hand a squeeze as she bit her lip to keep from getting emotional. Namjoon had always had a way with words. It was something they both were good at, but he had a way of taking her breath away.
Namjoon moved from his chair, let go of her hand, and knelt drawing a gasp from Sierra as she realized what was going on. She pressed her hands over her mouth as she watched him pull a ring box from the table that the waiter slyly slid to Namjoon. “Love is not just a word to say. Love is not a game to play. My love doesn’t just start and end. My love is yesterday, today, tomorrow, and always. Will you take my hand and be the person I want to grow old with? ” He opened the box and flashed the engagement ring to her.
Sierra cried as she reached out to hug him. Namjoon leaned forward and took her in his arms as she cried. “Yes... Of course.” There was loud applause as Namjoon slid the ring on her finger. Sierra fanned her hand in her face and sniffled, “You know I hate crying in public.”
Namjoon chuckled as he slipped his handkerchief out of his pocket, “That’s why I brought this.” He handed it to her and pecked her lips before he returned to his seat.
She dabbed her eyes as she looked at the ring in disbelief. “I love you” she told him as she looked up at him.
He picked up his wine glass, “I love you more. Cheers for a lifetime together.”
Sierra picked up her drink and clicked her glass against his, “For a lifetime.” She took a sip as her engagement ring glistened in the light.

Teacher!Namjoon
Namjoon is like super smart, he managed to graduate his last year of schooling a year early
he had tutored the younger boys while he had classes so when he graduated the king asked him to become their teacher.
he's younger then Seokjin but he knows what he's talking about
he tries to wear nice clothes so people take him seriously
so in the castle on work days he wears white button downs and nice pants
but on days at home he wears pajamas everyday 24/7
he lives with Dance instructor!Hoseok and Music Teacher!Yoongi
he want the best for the kim/park siblings, so he tries his best to be patient
especially with taehyung, it's not that he's not smart it's just that he doesn't focus
so Namjoon often makes his lessons into games for him, keeping him active
"so what angle should you throw the ball to make sure it goes in?"
with jimin its best to explain in small words that he can remember, or making it into a song
jin is bad at math so Namjoon explains everything as if it's in baking terms
the king has asked for his opinion on a few things and thinks that Namjoon is a very capable young man, and if you try telling namjoon this he get v blushy, like his face is so red
while he prepares his lessons for the boys he often taps his fingers on the desk which makes music teacher!Yoongi jealous of his rhythm
he loves the boys like they are his brothers and protects them to the best of his abilities
So one day he's cleaning up the mess taehyung had made while studying
and Someone comes in with a sword
knowing that they were trying to take the princes
he manages to trick them into believing that's he's a prince
taking only Namjoon was what join wanted
the hooded person tied his wrists together and kidnapped him
taking him to a small house, he made Namjoon sit in the floor in the basement
the adrenaline was starting to leave so now it hit him what had happened
he was like well at least if i die i protected the boys
but then he hears yelling and fighting upstairs
panicking because he thought that they realized he wasn’t a prince and might kill him
but nope it was you, kicking the kidnappers asses
You had seen him taken at the castle so you had followed behind to ensure his safe return
hearing the screams come to an end, he tried to go by the door
but namjoon is very clumsy and just fell once he got up
Hearing him fall, you opened the door
seeing the purple haired boy face down on the floor made you giggle, which turned his ears red
walking over to him and untying his hands, and then helping him stand
“you shouldn’t go with strange men, at any time of the day y’know?’’
he answered you by turning even more red which made you chuckle
Looking at your outfit, he wasn’t quite sure what to address you as
archers and knights like being called by their titles but how could you properly address without asking
“i’m one of the top knights, you’re the princes teacher, tight?”
“uh-yea-yeah i am, that’s me, namjoon”
asking if he wanted to walk back to the castle with you, he agreed but asked about the men upstairs
telling him that the king would figure it out, you grabbed his hand and left the house
walking past a few fields and chatting with the teacher, you learned that he was very humble
on your way back to the castle, a few shop owners stopped you and namjoon
they kept asking if you were dating, letting out a giggle while he turned red, you both denied it
letting you go on your way, a lady offered you an apple
thanking her, and taking it, you ask namjoon if he was hungry
trying to have you eat it he denied, but before you took a bite his stomach growled
laughing at the unpleasant sound, you handed him the apple and wouldn’t take no as answer
begrudgingly namjoon began eating it while talking, you eventually made it back to the castle
Having to go report to the king what happened you had to leave him soon
Before separating you told him to come visit you some time, so he could continue using big words that you didn’t understand
walking away from the boy who’s cheeks were a pastel pink at your invitation
Turning to him when you were further away you cupped your hands around your mouth and yelled
“ Are you a math teacher? because you got me harder than calculus!”
turning and running you left a now very red namjoon standing there with his heart beating very fast
“that was a terrible pick up line, hyung why are you so red?”
“shut up taehyung”
He was gonna visit you later, if he didn’t turn into a tomato just thinking of you

Seokjin
It was raining, and he was going to be late. He was so going to be late. Of course, the one time he was running late for work had to be today of all days.
Jin was currently tearing the room apart, cursing his apartment and his job and his life, and everything else under the sun. He stopped and stood in the middle of the now messy living room, eyes frantically searching every inch.
‘I must be losing my mind. It has to be around here somewhere,’ he helplessly thought. He decided to call for backup.
“YOONGI!”
He heard a low grunt coming from his best friend-and-roommate’s room through his closed door. Sighing, he stomped down the hall to the last room and banged on the door (against the homemade ‘do not disturb’ sign’s warning).
“Yoongi, have you seen my work hat,” he began, “I’ve looked everywhere in this house, I’m going to be late! Then I’ll be fired, which means we’ll go broke, which means both of us will be out on our asses in the street! Do you—”
The door slammed open, cutting Jin off from his rant. Yoongi stood there—looking way too exhausted for his 22 years—with Jin’s work visor hanging from his bony fingers.
“You left it in the washer with my laundry yesterday. Stop screaming, it’s 6:30 in the morning,” Yoongi mumbled, rolling his eyes.
“And you couldn’t have told me this earlier? I have to be at the café in 10 minutes!” Jin yanked the hat from Yoongi, hurriedly snapping it around his head, his fluffy brown hair sticking up around the crappy Velcro flaps.
“Didn’t know you had work today,” the blond boy responded, heading back to his bed.
“We’ve lived together for almost two years and you don’t remember which days I work?”
“I don’t have enough brain cells left for remembering shit like that, Hyung.”
Jin sighed, fingers rubbing at his temples.
“You’re lucky I like you. I made pancakes for breakfast, there’s some left in the kitchen. I should be back around two, so we should have time to do dinner before I have to be at the bar.”
He got another grunt in response.
Taking that as an “okay”, Jin grabbed his pink Princess Peach umbrella (“it was on sale, Yoongi!” “Jesus Christ, I live with a child”), his keys and his wallet and headed out the door, rushing down the apartment building stairs.
Jin normally loves his job at ‘The Grind’, a small and homey café and bakery. His boss, Mr. Choi, is incredibly helpful and friendly for the most part, letting “his best baker” Jin take home some of the leftover stock when possible. The rough part is, having to be there a half an hour before opening time to get started on the baking. Which he wasn’t going to be, since the café opened in 5 minutes.
Today they were getting annual inspections done, and of course the universe would make him be late on the worst possible day.
That’s Jin’s life. Universe fuckery and Princess Peach umbrellas. Oh, and disappointing his parents, of course.
Jin subconsciously stepped harder on the gas pedal. He needed this job.
He also works nights part-time as a bartender at ‘Good Tymes’ an honestly questionable and seedy bar, which is decidedly less pleasant of a job than the café. But he’d been working there since he started university, and even though he dropped out and got the extra job at the café, he still needed both jobs. So, he deals with it. Like everything else.
“Jin, sweetie, your father and I just think you’re making a rash decision. You’ve already gotten this far, there’s no sense in quitting. What are you even going to do if you drop out now?”
“Mom, I just…can’t do it anymore. I don’t think I ever really wanted to in the first place.”
“You’re just going through a rough patch, that’s all. Everyone goes through moments like that in college. You’ll be fine; forget this dropping out nonsense. Your father is paying good money for that program.”
“Mom! You’re not listening to me. I don’t want to be a doctor! I feel like I’m turning into someone I’m not. This isn’t…this isn’t my dream. This isn’t what I want for my life.”
“Well, why don’t you just switch to another program then? Still a bit of a waste of the program tuition, but at least you’ll be working towards something. The law program there is very good too, they say. Or accounting!”
“I…don’t want to be a lawyer either… or an accountant. I don’t know what I want. That’s why I want to take a break. I need to figure out for myself what I want.”
“This is ridiculous Kim Seokjin. You’re being ridiculous. I knew that Min Yoongi character would be a bad influence on you. After everything your father and I have done to help you, this is how you’re repaying us?”
“This has nothing to do with Yoongi! I only ever started med school because you guys wanted me to!”
“Don’t raise your voice at me, young man. Your father wants to speak to you.”
“Mom I—"
“Seokjin. If you think we’re going to sit here and let you drop out of college, you must be out of your mind. I won’t have my only son throwing his future away because of some delinquent from the streets putting absurd ideas into his head about dreams, like he knows anything about life.”
“Dad, I’ve felt like this since before I even met Yoongi. I just can’t do it anymore, it’s driving me insane. I don’t want to quit school completely, I just need a year or two to figure myself out again.”
“…Alright. If you promise your mother and I that you’ll go back to university within 2 years, with a REASONABLE major picked, we’ll go back to helping you pay for school, and keep paying the truck’s insurance. BUT, you have to keep your job, start working full time. This isn’t a vacation. You’ll have to keep paying your rent on your own.”
“Yea, of course, definitely Dad. I promise. Thank you, thank you so much!”
“You better be sure about this Seokjin. This isn’t some game you can just start over.”
“I know. I’m sure. This is what I need to do.”
Yoongi
Shaking out his hair, still wet from the shower, Yoongi headed to the kitchen on a hunt for the pancakes Jin said he left for him. It was around noon, and Yoongi had a lot to get done before Jin got home. Dishes, probably, and vacuuming. Oh, and he promised Jin he’d take out the trash.
Technically, Jin doesn’t make him do all the housework. In fact, Jin is always telling Yoongi that he doesn’t mind cleaning, and that they can share the workload. However, Yoongi would often end up doing most of the work anyway. It’s the least he can do, he figures.
After all, Jin took him in when he was at his worst. And Jin’s the one working two jobs to pay bills and keep them from starving. Meanwhile Yoongi is just barely managing to sell enough of his music to get by with his part of the rent.
He leans against the wall and rubs his eyes, trying to ignore the stress and constant worry and guilt that always threatens to bubble up. No sense in thinking about all of that right now. He stands up straight and keeps walking.
‘I should be able to get everything done before two, no problem, it’s not too—’
His train of thought cuts off when he walks into the living room.
“Jesus Christ, Seokjin. What the fuck.”
The room was a sight. It looked like a mini tornado had torn through the small space. Couch pillows and throw blankets strewn all over the floor, bookshelves and side tables all disarranged, shoes everywhere except the shoe rack, and was that a Pikachu pillow pet on the floor? When did they even get that?
Yoongi lets out a deep breath. Alright, maybe some of this can wait until Jin gets back.
It was raining, and Yoongi was drunk.
Making his way down the familiar city streets at 1 in the morning, most of the usual places were starting to close up for the night. He wasn’t trying to go back to the party house yet though; too many fucking people, too much noise. So he was determined to find somewhere else to sit and have another beer... or two.
Jiho had told him about some bar that stays open until 3, but right now he couldn’t remember the name if he had a gun to his head. So he just kept walking.
After what felt like way too long in drunk-Yoongi time, he finally found a bar that looked like what Jiho had described. Some of the name sign’s lighting was out, and it was missing a few letters. Probably would have taken him a few seconds to figure out the name even if he was sober. He shrugged to himself and headed inside.
Surprisingly, there was still quite a few people there. Mostly depressed looking old men, but still. He wasn’t the only one, then.
Yoongi sat down at the end of the bar, looking around. It wasn’t very clean; smoke hung in the stagnant air, and there was a mysterious stickiness to the floor tiles that were broken and chipped in some spots. The worn out jukebox in the corner by the other end of the bar was currently playing some old, mumbling sad country song over the crackling speakers, too quietly for Yoongi to hear it clearly. There were a couple of ancient looking pool tables and some electronic dart machines in the back, one with an out of order sign carelessly taped to the front.
“Hey, you want to order something, or are you just admiring the beautiful scenery?”
Yoongi’s head snapped up toward the voice, and he tried to focus on the person speaking to him, his head swimming.
His eyes widened.
In front of him was a gorgeous guy, probably around his age or a little older, broad shouldered and tall. He was smiling at his own joke, his deep brown eyes shining and crinkling at the corners; his white teeth seemed to glow. His black hair fell effortlessly in place—it looked so soft, feathery. Yoongi wanted to touch it.
“Uh…yea. Just a. I mean. Just a house draft, please.”
“ID?”
Yoongi clumsily dug his ID out of his ratted wallet, thanking whatever deity above that he didn’t lose it somewhere back at the house.
The bartender looked closely at the ID, concluding it wasn’t a fake. He looked again at the reddish brown-haired boy sitting in front of him, looking like he had lost everything he had in the world—way too skinny, his face sunken in, triangle shaped eyes displaying a lifetime of exhaustion.
He offered another smile, giving back the ID, “Yoongi, hm? What are you doing out so late by yourself?”
Yoongi glanced at the man, wondering whether or not to answer that question. He was tired, so tired. But he wasn’t sure about spilling his guts to some random dude at the bar, either.
“You don’t have to answer that if you don’t want to, it’s fine. My name’s Seokjin, by the way, but you can just call me Jin.”
“Like the drink?” was the only thing Yoongi’s alcohol and weed soaked brain could think to slur out of his mouth.
Jin rolled his eyes, “Yes, Yoongi, like the drink,” he complied, sounding like he’d heard it a thousand times. However, he was smiling just as brightly as before.
Then, his facial expression suddenly looked a little more serious, and he nodded to himself.
“I’m going to go get your beer really quick. I’ll be right back, okay Yoongi? Don’t disappear on me.”
For the first time in a long while, Yoongi smiled.
“I’ll be here waiting, I won’t go anywhere. Promise.”

Proposal [Seokjin and Yoongi]
Most of the proposal messages in the members have been taken by various proposal idea sites. Yoongi’s journal entries are my own ideas. Minus a part. These got pretty long, so yea….
Enjoy~
Seokjin
Tumblr media
Naeun woke in bed alone on a Saturday morning. She turned over to see Seokjin’s side of the bed made and she reached over to the empty bed side. She pouted not liking to wake up alone in the morning when they were both off. She yawned as she sat up and noticed a sticky note on her night stand. Sorry! I had a last minute call in. First anniversary tonight at 7.
Naeun put the not back on her nightstand as she thought back to their first anniversary. Was it Pierre Gagnaire à Séoul? Or The Lounge? She went to the restroom and got ready for the day. In the restroom laid two sticky notes. Never forget how much I love you -Jinnie Your smile makes my heart skip beats. Smile more! She brushed her teeth and grinned at the two notes before attaching them together and putting them in her room.
She headed into the kitchen to pour a cup of coffee with her phone in hand to call Sojin. She reached for her cup when she saw a sticky note on it. I love you more than a BIG cup of COFFEE! Good morning love! I love you!
Naeun grinned as she got her coffee and called Sojin to come over and help her decide what to wear for the evening. Naeun went to the living room and grabbed her book where she saw a pink sticky note stuck out where her bookmark was at. “Really?” She laughed as she opened the book and plucked the note. I feel like I can conquer the world with one hand hand and you holding the other. “Aww…” She stared at the sticky note. This one was by far her favorite.
The doorbell sounded and moments later, Sojin entered the apartment, “Sorry! Forgot I had a key.” Sojin flashed a peace sign as she entered the living room. “So what’s up? You got a date.”
“Yea” Naeun closed her book, but kept the sticky note in her hand. “I don’t remember… Was my anniversary at The Lounge or Pierre Gagnaire à Séoul?”
Sojin laughed, “He told me you’d forget. Here’s a hint!” She held out a sticky note.
“Not you too! What is with all the sticky notes today?” She took the note and read it. In French you don’t say I miss you. You say tu me manques which means, you are missing from me. “What the heck? What he is planning?”
“So do you remember?” She smirked.
Naeun gave her a confused look before looking back at the sticky. A light bulb went off in her head and she snapped her fingers, “French! So Pierre Gagnaire à Séoul!”
Sojin nodded, “Good. Come on, we got a long day ahead of us!”
That day, Sojin took Naeun everywhere. To a boutique where she “coincidentally” ran into Jimin and Daeun on a date. She was handed a sticky from them. To get her makeup, hair, and nails done when Namjoon and Sierra “happened” to be walking passed and she was given another sticky note. This continued when they went to the cafe to see Katelyn and Yoongi, to the diner for lunch where Jungkook and Mia waited, and then the park where Elfie and Hoseok were relaxing. Each time was another sticky note that had another cute quote expressing his love to her.
By the evening, Naeun was excited to see Seokjin. She hadn’t been able to contact him all day as Sojin took her phone. Naeun racked her brain to try to figure out what was going on. Was it an anniversary she missed? A birthday? A spontaneous date he decided to do? She stared at herself in the mirror as she looked at the new dress she bought for the evening. It was a red off the shoulders long evening dress. The top border was an elegant lace design. Her hair was done up in a large high chignon bun with two large strand like bide bangs cascading down the side of her face. She wore her red earrings and a gold chain with a heart shaped pendant. With her clutch in she headed out the house to the restaurant.
When she entered the restaurant she told the hostess Seokjin’s name for the reservation. The hostess smiled as she handed her a sticky note. Naeun laughed as she took the note and scanned it. If I did anything right in my life it was the moment I gave my heart to you.
“This way, ma’am.” Naeun followed her to a secluded area where Seokjin and her sat on their first anniversary.
Seokjin was fixing his hair when he spotted Naeun. His hand froze at his hair as his head straightened as he locked eyes with her. He got out of his chair and pulled out her chair. “You look gorgeous” he whispered in her ear before helping her to her seat. He took his seat after he pressed a quick kiss to her cheek. “Can you give me directions to your heart? I’ve seemed to have lost myself in your eyes.” Naeun let out a giggle as she looked back at her boyfriend. He took her breath away with his suit. His smile grew, “When I see in your eyes, I get a very peaceful feeling. With you, everything seems beautiful.”
“Jinnie…” She felt her cheeks heat up as she looked down at the menu. “I think I want this” she pointed at the picture of the sliced duck meat topped with other things. Seokjin looked at the picture and chuckled lowly. “What?” Her smile fell, “What’s so funny?”
His dark eyes flicked to hers, “You got that same thing the first time we came her too.”
“No way. How would you remember that?” She scoffed in disbelief as a smile found her lips. His eyebrow rose as he pulled out his phone and searched through his photos until he found the one he needed. He handed her his phone and she looked from the image on the phone to the menu. “You seriously went through 4 years worth of pictures to prove your point?” She let out an exasperated sigh as she handed him back the phone.
“Earlier yes” he had a teasing expression on his face. “I just had a feeling you would order it and I needed to have evidence.” He pocketed his phone just as the waiter came to take their orders. “How did you like the sticky notes?”
Naeun played with one of the strands of her hair as she took a swig of her wine, “I loved them. They were beautiful. Though I don’t know what I did to deserve the princess treatment.”
Seokjin nodded, “My princess deserves the best. Can’t I just treat the woman I love? I wanted to spoil you today.”
“Consider me spoiled” she chuckled. “It was all so beautiful. I loved it all.”
He took his wine glass to his lips and took a drink from it as he thought that the best had yet to come.
When the dinner plates came out, the two talked about the past and shared stories the other vaguely remembered. Seokjin fed Naeun a couple of bites of food as he had done on their first anniversary minus the wine spill.
After dinner, he escorted her out to his car and drove them to Banpo Bridge. Another part of the leg of their first anniversary. They walked hand and hand in Banpo Hangang Park.
“It’s always so beautiful out here” Naeun sighed as she looked over at the Banpo Bridge that was minutes from waking and spitting out water under the rainbow lights.
“With you, everything seems more beautiful.” Seokjin whispered. Naeun looked back at him and pecked his lips. He wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her attention from the bare bridge. His eyes darkened as he met her gaze. “You make my life wonderful and worth living. I want to give you all the happiness you deserve. I want to be there to share all of life’s moments with you.”
Naeun’s eyes watered as she listened to Seokjin. She swallowed a lump in her throat as she sniffled. “Wha–”
Her words died in her throat as Seokjin knelt before her just as the bridge came to life. The music off in the distance the rainbow lights lit up the water that sprouted out. “I can’t fix your problems, but I promise you will never fight them alone. I give you my heart and my word that I’ll never let you walk alone. My heart will be your shelter and my arms be your home. I’m selfish. Idon’t want you to just as my princess anymore. Will you, Naeun, do me the honor of becoming my queen?”
Naeun’s tears wouldn’t stop as she watched him pull out the ring box and open it to reveal the engagement ring. She nodded before her brain could process the words to her mouth. “Yes… Yes!”
Seokjin grinned as he got on his feet and kissed her. Neither of them cared about the audience who noticed who he was or what was going on. He slid the ring on her finger not breaking the kiss as his fingers sought hers.

Katelyn twisted under the satin sheets and comforter and let out a low grown. Her curly red hair fell in her face tickling her nose. She let out an annoyed grunt as she pushed her hair from her face and her eyes pulled apart to be greeted by the sunlight. “Yoongi… Can you close the blinds?” She mumbled as she buried her head into her pillow. It was too early for her. She pulled the comforter tighter around her naked body as she wanted to just sleep a little more. She didn’t hear her boyfriend grunt or complain like he typically did when she woke him up, so she peeked over her pillow to see Yoongi wasn’t in bed. “Yoongi?” She called for him now more alert. The covers fell to her legs as she sat up and looked around the room.
She crawled out of bed, threw on a satin robe, slipped on her slipper, and headed to the next room, the living room, and he wasn’t there. However, she noticed two journals on top of one another with her name written on a paper in Yoongi’s handwriting. Katelyn walked over the the items and looked at the paper with her name. Have fun reading.
She put the paper down and grabbed the two journals. “Coffee…” She nodded as she put the journals on the couch and went to make her a cup of coffee. With her coffee in hand, she returned to the couch and grabbed the first journal.

I’m only doing this because Namjoon swear it will help me focus on my music. Though, I got my doubts.
Yesterday, marked the anniversary of Katelyn and my relationship. Together a year and it feels like it was a mere few months. The idea of falling for a girl like her is insane, but here we are… I finally told her I love her and what does she say? I make her wait an ENTIRE year and all she says is–
“Took ya long enough” she laughed as she spoke the words of that night. She read through the rest of the short journal entry and flipped through a few more before stopping again.

I fucked up. I feel like I’ve really gone and lost her because of my behavior. You should have seen the look she gave me when I called her an annoyance and a bitch. Fuck. Why did I say that? Even if I was pissed about work, I still–Did I lose her? If I text her would I get a blocked message? Will my things at her place be outside her door? I tell her to open up and communicate. We’ve fought about that so much and here I am doing shit like this. Right before white day too. Fuck my heart feels like it’s being ripped apart. I can’t get her face out of my head. And I leave for tour in 3 days. What’ll become of us? I can’t lose her. She’s my fucking muse.
Katelyn’s eyes blurred as she recalled the argument. She had been prepared to end it that night. How upset she was as he took his anger out on her. She remembered how she found him outside her door the next day asleep too afraid to ring the doorbell. How tearful and ashamed he was for acting the way he did. How they came apart in each other’s arms as she forgave him. Katelyn sniffled as she wiped her eyes.
She finished reading the first journal just as 10 hit. She got up and made another cup of coffee before she dug into the next journal. She went out on the balcony and cracked open the journal. More entries littered the page along with more inserts of lyrics he began to write about her. She smiled at the memories like the flour fight in the kitchen or silently shed a tear at something sad like her gramps dying. Katelyn reached the end of the journal and went to shut it, but was a paper taped to the back cover behind the last paper.
Katelyn,
If you’re reading this, you’ve just read some of the most important days in my life that I’ve spent with you. Even the bad days are important because we grew and learned how to be better.
I brought you to the Bahamas for two reasons, I didn’t lie when I said we needed a break. We really did. Sleep and relaxation are key as you say. The second reason was to tell you how much I love you. No amount of money could show you how much you mean to me. I’d buy you the universe just to show my love. I can’t tell you some bullshit about falling in love with you at first sight. My love for you formed gradually. Your personality, your husky voice when you wake up, your crazy red hair you struggle to tame, your green eyes that I could get lost in for hours, the way you look away and smile when you get flustered. It became clear to me the you are exactly what I need.
We went through some rough times in these six years. Some things we thought we’d never have the strength to get through, but we did. We did because we had each other tot anchor to. We are able to get through some of the toughest shit the world has thrown our way. I was only able to become stronger because you were by my side.
You’re my muse. I write music because you exist in my heart. I want to wake up with you by my side everyday for the rest of my life. I want to grow old with you. I guarantee there’ll be tough times. I will mess up. I will make you cry. There will be times, one of us is gonna want to get out of this thing. But I promise you that if I don’t ask you to be mine, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart you’re the only one for me.
Would you like to spend the rest of time with me?
Meet me at the pier we went to last night. I’ll await your answer there.
Yours Always,
Min Yoongi
Katelyn wept as she read the letter again. Her finger traced over the words as she sniffled. “Fucking Yoongi…” She let out a weak laugh. She checked the time and noticed it was close to 11. “Shit! I need to get there.” She wiped her face as she dashed into the bedroom and sought for one of her boho floral printed long maxi dress. Katelyn looked at her freckle face in the mirror debating on putting on makeup, but opted out as it would just take her longer. She brushed her teeth and the grabbed her black bohemian beach flat sandals along with her small bag with her phone and wallet then dashed out.
Her heart beat erratically against her chest as she left the hotel in a hurry. She didn’t care about the stares she got as she rushed to the pier that was only a little away on foot. She noticed a white suited man in the near distance and her pace slowed as she tried to catch her breath. As she walked closer, she noticed it was Yoongi. She smiled as she watched him. His head was tilted back, his eyes shut as he leaned against the wood rail. He was nervous. She could tell. How long had he been out there? She tried to brush her hair out of her face, but it returned in it’s position. “Yoongi?”
His eyes snapped open at her voice. He took a deep breath as he turned his attention to her. Yoongi as he saw her approach him. “You sleep well?” She nodded as she threw her hands around his shoulders. The two let out awkward laughs as they didn’t know how to go about the answer. Yoongi took in her scent as his head buried in her hair, “Will you be my wife?” He whispered in her ear.
Katelyn broke the hug as she let out a chuckle, “Took ya long enough.”
Yoongi let out a laugh as he pulled a ring from his pocket and slid it on her finger. “You’re too much.”
“Am I?” She ran her hand in her hair as her eyebrow rose, “Sucks for you because with this” she flashed him the engagement ring on her finger, “You’re stuck with me.”
“I think I can deal with that” he pressed his lips to hers which she immediately reciprocated.
They took a walk on the beach to head to the restaurant Yoongi reserved. Their hands swung between them as they were intertwined with one another. “What would you have done if I said no?”
Yoongi choked on air not expecting the question. Once his cough ceased he rolled his eyes, “I’d die and haunt the fuck out of the others because they’re the ones who talked me into do this. I planned to just ask you at home.”
Katelyn chuckled, “Honestly… That’s what I thought you’d do too.“ She looked at him and flashed him a smile. “I want to read the other journals.”
“Others? How do you know there are more?”
She shrugged, “You started them after our 1 year and I only read up to our 3 year… We’ve been together 6, sooooo….” She gave him a look that told him she knew there were more.
He let out a sigh, “Fine. They’re back in my studio. I’ll show you when we get back.” She grinned as she looked back at the view before them. Yoongi watched her completely taken back that this woman beside him was going to be his wife one day.
