Summary of RT post on RWBY
So V9 will have 10 episodes and they’ll air with no season break
It releases on Saturdays at 9:30AM CT
The finale will air on April 22nd
The writers already have an overview of V10 but it still hasn’t been greenlit
New episodes of RWBY will be available on CR immediately and will available on the RT site a year later (woah)
Pirating the show is still bad and will affect CRWBY and RWBY itself.
Guidelines regarding RWBY vids on youtube are still unclear
CR will become the defacto home of RWBY. No more RWBY eps on Youtube

I went dark for a little while. You may remember my blog as home to a nutcase who rattles on about Jungian storytelling.
Just now I found out that V10 of RWBY hasn't been greenlit, and the future of the show now hangs in peril. I had avoided this knowledge because I am an extremely successful hermit. I had half a reserve that this might be the case around V9, but RWBY had seen much worse sights than that, and it seemed difficult to believe.
I am partially writing this post because I have been working on my Knightfall fanfic The Distance Which Fools the Skimming Eye in the meantime, and just around the new year - actually with four minutes to spare before midnight - I completed all of its chapters, barring the epilogue, in totality. So it is actually technically finished, and if I am well-behaved it will be posted in the near future. You must never trust me when I say this, but apparently I have no deadlines before V10; it is totally flexible. Not a pleasant thought, I must admit painfully.
Originally I had wanted to simply post my fanfic and be done with it, because I'm not sure I have anything left to say. But I have a few things, and most of all, I am nothing if not an unpaid RWBY shill, and I would like to see this show made in its entirety - according to its vision. As far as I've been able to discern it's still unclear what will happen, but I don't really want to talk about the possibilities. I want an honest yes or no, and otherwise speculation is pretty boring.
And yes, I have been pretty pleased with myself since having found out (I never saw the RTX clip last year) that V9 originally would've ended with that happening with Raven. That's pretty crazy. I want more of that, all the time. #raven anabasis theory ftw.
Anyway, I have a few other thoughts I am probably going to make some posts about. I am not sure exactly what I am going to do next with this blog. I have been a fan of RWBY since Volume 1, and at this point I am bound for life, in sickness and health, whether I like it or not. And I just wanted to say, hello again.

The siblings to a martyr.
Lil thing the RTX epilogue clip made me think of:
We really don't talk enough about how much the remaining Schnee's lost when Atlas fell.
Weiss dies.
Jaques dies.
Their home falls.
Their house is destroyed.
Everything they ever owned is gone.
Winter betrays everything she ever had for the greater good, and for what? For the nation she proudly served to be destroyed and her sister to die?
For Winter to be too slow to save her sister, despite how much Weiss believed in her ever since they were children? For Winter to look back and see the portal closed, Jaune Arc dying despite Weiss dying believing he would live?
Whitley finally starts connecting with his sister, for what? For her to just die? For the last hug they ever shared to be one he was reluctant to partake in? For him to play a large part in the plan that would get his sister killed?
Willow stops drinking, and for what? Her home is destroyed, her father's memory and life's work to disappear within moments? The death of her daughter?
Their legacy is so much larger now than just the Schnees known for the family business. Their riches are gone, but even more is expected of them now.
The stain on their family name is dead, but so is the greatest person to ever wear their family Emblem.
Whitley and Winter are the grandchildren of a hero, the children of a villain, and the siblings of a martyr. Their the Winter Maiden and the boy who tried to save Mantle.
Weiss Schnee died, sword in hand, alongside her friends she would call family.
And her own family was left to grieve, without her by their sides.

A student group at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law published an anti-Semitic cartoon depicting the school's dean, who is Jewish, holding bloody utensils over a dinner table, a version of the ancient blood libel employed in anti-Semitic propaganda that accused Jews of using the blood of Christian children for baking matzah and other rituals.FreeBeacon
Berkeley's chapter of Law Students for Justice in Palestine posted a cartoon depicting law school dean Erwin Chemerinsky holding a fork and knife dripping with blood over a dinner table, with the caption "No Dinner With Zionist Chem While Gaza Starves!" The graphic, which was posted on Monday, was deleted approximately half an hour later, but the Washington Free Beacon obtained a screenshot. Shortly after, the cartoon was reposted, but without blood covering the utensils.
The Instagram post came in response to an email from Chemerinsky last week inviting third-year law students to eat dinner in his home, according to the Law Students for Justice in Palestine chapter. The group is led by Malak Afaneh, a third-year Berkeley law student who has commended Palestinians for their "active resistance against the apartheid state of Israel."
"This dinner is the prime example of a normalization PR event that hopes to distract students from Dean Chem's complicity and support for the genocide of the Palestinian peoples," the group said in a caption under the cartoon. "While Dean Chem wants to wine and dine his students, he continues to approve of UC investments into weapons companies like Blackrock, Lockheed Martin, RTX, Northrop, and more."
Law Students for Justice in Palestine encouraged students to boycott "all of Chemerinsky's events" and demand that Berkeley divest "from ALL TIES to the apartheid state of Israel." Berkeley Law School declined to comment. Chemerinsky did not return a request for comment.
The grotesque cartoon comes after the House Committee on Education and the Workforce announced last month that it was requesting internal documents regarding Berkeley's response to the outbreak of anti-Semitism on campus.
Afaneh started at Berkeley Law in 2021, according to her LinkedIn profile. One year later, she shared her desire to use her law degree to aid the Palestinians in their "battle for liberation."
"For years, Palestinians everywhere have engaged in active resistance against the apartheid state of Israel," Afaneh wrote in a 2022 Facebook post. "As a lawyer, I hope to aid in this battle for liberation, so that I and generations to come may see a Palestine free from the river to the sea."
Another student, Matt Fernandes, is a member of and organizer with Berkeley's Law Students for Justice in Palestine. In 2022, Fernandes promoted a bylaw that amended the group's constitution to include a ban on pro-Israel speakers from participating in club events. He also accused Zionists of holding "positions of power" with "connections to media," according to anti-Semitism watchdog Canary Mission.
Berkeley Law Students for Justice in Palestine did not respond to a request for comment.
The Free Beacon in a Feb. 1 report unearthed a similar cartoon at the University of Pennsylvania. Dwayne Booth, a lecturer at Penn's Annenberg School for Communication, published a slew of anti-Semitic cartoons, including one that depicts Zionists sipping Gazan blood from wineglasses.

A lot of people are wondering if S and C will come out with their relationship this year, and I wonder that too, but I’m also wondering “why this year?” Like if something really special happened between them this year, I could see it (like an engagement perhaps…) but otherwise, I don’t know why it would be this year specifically. We only have one month left to go though, so we’ll see.
I do hope the theory about C having another video for the end of the year which includes S is actually true. Honestly, I think maybe the first one was for Thanksgiving or something, but she could have another one. I also hope that she makes another YouTube video about stuff, just anything, because I’ve really missed her videos. Maybe once the live show is done, because I know they have a lot to do for that.
I honestly don't mind if they're not gonna post anything about it in the upcoming month tbh. We already got so much this year it's super insane to think about it.

I woke up from a nap and found out one of the foundational pillars of my youth shut down. Damn.
Rooster Teeth was my lifeblood as a teen, and I’ve been a fan from the first time I saw Tex vs RnB’s. RWBY is what made me starting writing. I remembered the exact time I started actually writing down my ideas, Feb 2, 2015 at 3:52 pm after confirmation study, a day after I learned Monty passed. It was a RWBY OC fic that I stopped after I remembered their words to stop focusing on other people’s work and work on your own to build your own brand. I still have it- the writing is meh though -and my first drawings were RWBY characters like the ones below. I owe my artistic creation to that. Maybe I'll post that first fic one day too.
That gave me the time to build up a portfolio of original writing that I will soon be publishing online for myself. It inspired me and still does to this day as I enjoy RWBY and hope it will be finished.
I still listen to Gold, the music from RWBY just inspires such a sense of love from me. It can make me well with tears- which is not something easy do. I was apart of the RWBY WIKI! Back when we called Yang Yellow, and speculated White would be a cold high lady type and not girlfail. The Speculation House was my house. It was the first time I posted anything on the internet.
AND I CALLED IT BACK IN 2013- I CALLED SALEM AND OZPIN- ONE MAN WITH MULTIPLE SOULS A WOMEN WITH NONE!!! I CALLED IT AND EVEN HAD A POST I MEANT TO MAKE BUT I WAS TOO SCARED!!! SIX YEARS AHEAD!!!!!!
Anyway I was a superfan like from 2013-16 I lived and breathed the company, I watched every video, every channel, every podcast, I lived and breathed it. From Cow Chop, Sugar Pine, Funhaus, Gamefails etc. Achievement Hunter was why I came home from school to watch videos. I remember why RTX was a fandom wide event, and every single panel had mind-blowing information about something I loved. I was there for the first GTA V gameplay, and the first video on Let's Play. I have such a distinct memory of sitting down one Friday after school with a bowl of chef boyardee on a cheap white desk covered by a blue rag and chipped dark blue bowl, looking up at the ps3 3d wall-mounted tv, and watching the first Capture the Tower in Minecraft with such glee. It was my childhood.
I followed the King AU fan comic series on here and the FAKE AH crew AU. I was that heavy into it.
I READ A FEW REAL PEOPLE FICS. I was that deep. I've never done that for anyone else even in my deepest fandom days.
I remember being so excited when them and Yogscast paired up, they being another pillar and like them I am still a fan. Those TTT episodes are something special to me.
Like any company it had its flaws, and I remember every single controversy. Every. Single. One. God. I've diminished to someone who just keeps up with podcasts like F**ckFace and Red Web but I still called myself a fan. It was a foundation for me and a stabilizing influence when I was younger. I sincerely hope that the talented people there get help for this.
It only inspires my hatred of Warner Brothers more.
It actually does feel like a chapter has closed and I don't know how to feel about that.
Anyway here's Gold for your heart.

The End of an Era
Definitely a bummer to find out about the shutting down of RoosterTeeth today.
I'd wandered away about a year and some change ago for a variety of reasons but still maintained a fondness. And a hope that I would one day return and I wonder if this event will make that easier some day.
But regardless, my heart goes out to everyone, employees and community both. There's a lot to be sad about, there's a lot to be mad about, but in lieu of all that, I'm instead choosing to be grateful.
RT was definitely a big part of my 20s, and a source of comfort that I often turned to during a difficult job hunt, and eventually moving away for work. There was something comforting about knowing I could come home from work on Friday to know that a Minecraft let's play was waiting for me, or I could wake up to a new RWBY episode. I was inspired to go places and try things and meet people and push myself in ways I didn't think I ever would. I went to RTX so many times and I think back so fondly on the friends I would hang out with there and conversations I would have with complete strangers, who weren't really strangers, because we were all bound by the love of the same thing. There really was a sense of community that I have not found anywhere else, and I am so glad that I was a part of it.
So, thank you, Rooster Teeth. Thanks for Everything. For RvB and RWBY and Camp Camp. For Let's Plays and RTX and Extra Life. For being a part of my life that shaped me into who I am today, and I hope to carry the best parts of that forward.

explanation for both (read before voting)
the twitter liberal's house is messy but you can still walk through it with only a 15% chance of tripping. it smells like cheap walmart candle. there are withered plants hanging in the kitchen. you will watch the office and parks and rec and other unfunny shows and if you don't laugh once every five minutes they'll pause it and go "is everything okay? you've been awful quiet" in a faux sympathetic way. for dinner they will promise a home-cooked meal but then they will continually put it off until finally they just ask if you wanna doordash panda express but will insist on each of you paying for your respective choices because "money's running a little tight lately". afterwards if you ghost them they'll eventually softblock and tell their friends that you gave them really "idk :/" vibes.
the reddit atheist's house is lifeless and dull. it's clean (enough, at least), but there's nothing on the walls, they have no furnishings beyond basic things like couch and dining table, but they have a GeForce RTX 4090, a huge gamer chair (the one with like walls around the head), and a lot of books. speaking of books, they will insist that you read The God Delusion at least once, it's an eye-opening read. they will talk a lot about things that they read on reddit and paraphrase the takeaways and half the time not even correctly. for most of the visit you'll just be watching them dick around in his favorite 4x game while he occasionally stops to take a 30 minute shit. they will not mind if you spend most of the time on your phone. for dinner they will heat up some old pizza in their fridge and offer you some of their diet mountain dew ("the doctor said i needed to watch my calories so i started drinking the diet version"). regardless of how poorly the visit goes, they will assume you want to be friends and will timidly send you a message asking when you want to hang out again. if you do not reply they will disappear from your life forever.
