The penny voice in ruby head is definitly strange because ruby didnt know penny died so its not the same thing with pyrrha

This isnt really a question though lol but I absolutely agree,I’ve been pretty firmly team were getting a penny 3.0 sense V8 concluded and this past volume only furthered my belief .

I of course could be wrong (which is why i made my last post about the general narrative impact of penny as opposed to a resurrection) I admit that, but the way I see it while we haven't gotten any 1 BIG DEFINITIVE foreshadowing moment there’s just way too many smaller moments at this point for me to think they mean dont anything. I could take the time and make a list but if you’re anything like me then i suspect you also have the list of “weird details surrounding penny’s death” memorized at this point.

I also think just thematically her coming back would be cool. To quote myself from a previous post

The final episode of v8 suggested the Penny’s arc was about her getting to make a decision for herself, and if that REALLY is what her character was awlays about then yeah bringing her back would be counter intuitive. But I’ve NEVER believed thats what were ACTUALLY supposed to think penny’s arc was about. Sure penny did of course struggle with people imposing there will on her (Ironwood, Watts, to a lesser extent her father etc) but the counter action to that wasnt her getting to make a singular choice for herself she HAD made decisions for herself, decisions that were at least as real as “should i take my own life or let cinder kill me” Or alternatively “Who should i give the maiden powers when I cant pick my first choice because i think shes dead” I think the evidence throughout her time on the show OVERWHELMINGLY suggests the lesson she more so needed to learn(what her arc was about) was to stop putting everyone ahead of herself and to finally live for herself, girl tries to sacrifice herself like 7 times throughout volume 8 and is consistently told not to, and then her final attempt to sacrifice herself  is counter intuitively framed as heroic bitter sweet, and the end of her arc? I just dont believe that.”

So yeah I definiately think there’s a strong chance we will see her again.

Taking Out the Trash

This is essentially how I see the story going now that we’re back to Remnant. Jaune and Weiss are definitely gonna settle the score with Cinder, in a Bumbleby v Adam-esque final fight imo. A lot building up to this; Pyrrha, Cinder almost killing Weiss, Penny's sacrifice, Jaune's ongoing conflict with Cinder, the way it would really hit Cinder if Ruby didn't focus on her and goes after Salem instead, the way Cinder thinks Jaune is beneath her and is outraged over the thought that he could have killed her and on and on. Although, I wouldn't be opposed to Ruby being part of that fight.

And hey, Cinder’s already made something of a dumpster fire out of her quest for power. Really her greatest achievements seem to be the result of working with the people around her; Torchwick, Watts, Neo, Emerald and Mercury. Increasingly though, Cinder’s becoming isolated, in no small part due to herself. That's all coinciding with the show’s theme of the importance of trust and cooperation bringing about strength and the resolution of the world’s and individual’s problems. Not hard to imagine where Cinder will wind up after taking the opposite path.

I originally intended to just edit Cinder in place of Marrow in the scene where Weiss is dragging him across the room. Put a good amount of work into fixing up that background, too. But a brilliant suggestion by Mallobaude to add a dumpster in the corner of the room changed my mind, and with a change of scene and a bit more editing we gained the nice scene we see before us now. The reference scene I took the background from is just brilliant, Weiss literally throwing a racist guy in the trash.

Anyway, I thought it was a fun idea to make my own little version of that meme trend I referenced in the 1st panel, with the rest of this little comic putting a bit of a twist on it actually being Weiss who’s all set to take care of Cinder. Hope you all enjoy!

Just saw a post about how RWBY became unwatchable after they killed Watts off but like the second he started mouthing off at Cinder I knew he was dead. Like did she need to hear some of that sure but Cinder is not about to take criticism from someone like WATTS.

Cinder is a maiden with the backing of SALEM, a trigger finger and something to prove. Was Watts right? Yeah, but now he’s got to die. He’s annoying and useless. Cinder used him for what she needed and discarded him. He got “everything he deserved.”

And it’s not like he’ll be missed necessarily. He had knowledge of atlas tech but atlas does not exist anymore. He didn’t even have one of the top three semblances on Salems team when it was still whole - those three spots going to Hazel, Emerald and Tyrian - like he was not making it out of volume 8 and I think it’s so funny that people are mad about that. Salem is not about to miss him she didn’t even ask about him :P.

He mouthed off at trigger finger, power hungry, has something to prove Cinder, and then expected her not to retaliate. Yeah okay lmaoooo
