even though she's dropped the exo-skeleton (because she no longer needs it), i like that they've decided to have Winter keep the ponytail

she honestly looks better with it than the strict bun she had initially and it also works as symbolic of her character growth, that she's now less strict, more inclined to question authority and let herself be a person rather than force herself to be an unthinking machine

Interesting that Raven was already in Vacuo working with Qrow and everyone else rather than just showing back up with Team RWBY and that other guy.

Definitely lends credence to my theory that Patch wasn't overrun and is actually being used as an outpost/last bastion of resistance in Vale, with Raven shuttling refugees and supplies back and forth using Tai as a portal-anchor. Not to mention it makes it a pretty safe bet that Raven WILL in fact be sticking around as a major presence in V10.

On the other hand, I am just a LITTLE disappointment with Sun and Neptune noting her to be a maiden. No opportunity for some big, fun badass 'I'm actually the Spring Maiden' reveals in the future, sadly.

Small aside, since this is clearly the least important thing: I'm glad that Sun just casually mentions that Raven is a maiden in RWBY Beyond. There's some people who call Yang a hypocrite for talking about no lies or half truths because she didn't explicitly tell the others about Raven being Spring. So Sun just saying Raven's a maiden makes it clear that the info wasn't some big secret considering it's somehow trickled down to the Junior Detectives of all people. Like, Vernal was dead and Cinder was defeated, the rest of the group can easily figure out who has the spring maiden powers after V5 without Yang spelling it out.
