The things that's real fucked up about "it's not my fault you don't like girls" is it takes it from "unspoken thing about us" to "spoken thing about me".

It draws a line between them. It says it out loud and it makes it look like everything that was unspoken has been said, but it hasn't. It makes Will look "Stupid. So. Stupid".

I’m just gonna come out and say it… Byler’s best scene has gotta be the rain fight. It just is. It’s arguably Finn and Noah’s best performance for their characters’ dynamic. It has everything. Repression. Instant regret. Groveling. Heartbreak. Devastation.

Me, rewatching the rain fight to feel something that is akin to every single feeling one experiences after watching a masterful feature length romance, only in this case it’s all happening in one single scene:

Boone angrily said, as he confront Major Nixel, "Major Nixel, tonight ends your reign of terror! I won't stand by and let you harm my family or anyone else!"

The rain poured down, creating a shimmering backdrop to the intense confrontation. Major Nixel stood there, his malevolent grin illuminated by the occasional flash of lightning. In his hand, he held a wickedly gleaming sword, ready to strike.

Boone's determination burned brighter than ever as he faced his adversary. With a deep breath, he lunged forward, his bug-like appendages propelling him with surprising agility. The clash of their opposing forces echoed through the night as Boone's fiery resolve met Major Nixel's malice.

The battle was fierce, each swing of the sword and dodge of the attack a testament to Boone's unwavering spirit. But Major Nixel was no pushover; his skills were honed through countless battles with Mixels. The blade scraped against Boone's skin, leaving trails of red in its wake. Do you remember when most people thought the rain fight was just about growing up? That Will didn’t want to grow up and it was all the issue there. But we insisted that it was also because Will was dealing with his sexuality (and his feelings for his best friend)

And now that it’s confirmed Will is gay and in love with Mike, they know this fight wasn’t only about growing up, but they refuse to connect the dots for what it means for Mike. The one who said that growing up meant having GIRLFRIENDS.
