The final product. I used light and dark values to contrast how I child may appear fine on the outside, but truly be in an awful situation.

This is a more somber illustration than what I normally make. It was originally requested to accompany a series of stories on child abuse in a group home. However, the editors decided the facts of the case should speak for themselves, and I honestly agree. I'm still proud of this work, however. My state has a bad track record when it comes to child abuse. It angers and saddens me. So honestly, this is sort of a vent work for me.

not only is that video literally nazi content that got recommended to me but it is also literally characterised as “made for kids content” which in itself is incorrect as 1. It’s fucking nazi glorification. 2. It literally fucking says 13+ on it. And also can this be like. Brought up I want the internet for once to like stop talking about dreams asshole or whatever the fuck and like actually not bury important shit caus I know the internet only deals with problems that are like

Because this is literally a blatant example of the corruption in their moderation.

I fucking hate people who think they are fucking superheroes and think that they can help everyone but they don't even try to understand your situation and then in the end you're the one to blame because you refused their pointless help.

SERIOUSLY, can people fucking STOP doing this?! Pretend to be all-know-saviors when in reality they actually do the opposite.

I am speaking for myself here but i know a few other mentally ill people who fucking hate this shit.

If you truly want to help somebody DO NOT jump on recommendations and what not. If you want to TRULY help someone maybe first try to get to know the person and get to know their situation and try to understand it because for many of us explaining over and over and over again and not being understood is hell and we're too fucking tired of it. Also i might add that for autistic people explaining stuff can be super hard (aka me) so that should be taken into consideration.

Lastly, even if you had similar issues and struggles it DOESN'T MEAN that what works for you will work for everyone. Because, hello captain obvious, everyone is different, everyone reacts differently to different situations and each situation no matter how similar it might be is also different. That's why I'd never jump into advising anyone, at least not until i actually understand and know their situation and even then I'm very cautious about it because i know that i can do more damage than help.

Oh and i forgot to mention patience because many of these "superheroes" don't have it because they don't really care and they just want you to accept their advice no matter what.

Sorry not sorry for the rant but i can't deal with this shit anymore.

Opening up to you

I’m currently dealing with my (s3xual) harasser and all the heavy legal things. Big. Especially for me, a kid, here’s the summary:

Me and Carlos used to be “friends”. He constantly made vile, disgusting, racist and cruel “jokes”; such as, using the N-w0rd, the c-slur, the t-slur, made r@p3 jokes and would make fun of csa… yea, he sucks. Not to mention he would constantly come to me with his mental health issues and would never actually give a shit about fixing them. He would bring up l3wd topics and if I brought up anything related to that, he would tell me how disgusting I am.

Why did I stay friends with him? I felt like an actual boy when we hung out. He would play fight his cis friends and make those remarks and I felt… ya know like Adam from hazbin hotel: masculine, mean and a dick! I wish I didn’t rationalise everything he did and I wish I didn’t wait until now to say something to my school’s admin. But I didn’t, I’m clingy, what can I say.?

I want more people to know about sexual harassment, general harassment, discrimination and bullying. These are real and serious and never okay. If you are a student in the United States and are going through something similar, there are people who are there to help. If you talk to your counsellor, ask them if your school has a school therapist. Thats huge, and talking with the principal will help you too.
