El mariscal de campo mexicano Luis Pérez firma con Los Ángeles Rams
El mariscal de campo con origen mexicano por parte de sus padres, nacido en San Diego, California, tendrá su segunda oportunidad en la NFL. A sus 27 años, Luis Pérez tendrá su segundo capítulo con los actuales campeones de la Liga, Los Rams de Los Ángeles.
A través de las redes sociales, el equipo angelino anunció la contratación del agente libre de cara a la próxima temporada, con lo cual el mexicano encontrará una amplia competencia para encontrar al suplente de Matthew Stafford. El ingreso de Pérez será con el equipo de prácticas y de ahí buscará un lugar para colarse dentro de los Rams.
La última ocasión que pudimos ver a Luis Francisco Pérez en la NFL fue en el año de 2019, ya que desde ese año estuvo pasando de una liga a otra, sobre todo en la última de ellas, la USFL, teniendo actuaciones en donde se veía su gran potencial.
Esta sería la segunda vez que Pérez forma parte del equipo de Los Ángeles. Él ya estuvo con los Carneros durante el campamento previo a la campaña 2018, sin embargo, no pudo librar el corte. Los intentos por apoderarse de un lugar en la NFL se fueron haciendo largos debido a que estuvo igual en equipos como los Philadelphia Eagles y los Detroit Lions, en donde tampoco logró quedar dentro del roster definitivo.

La carrera de Luis Pérez en el futbol americano
Luis Pérez es egresado de la universidad de Texas A&M-Commerce, no tuvo mucha suerte de ser reclutado en el Draft, pero el 14 de mayo de 2018 firmó como agente libre para los Rams de los Ángeles. La noticia mala para él fue que en septiembre de ese mismo año fue cortado de la escuadra de prácticas.
Un año después en 2019 jugó en la liga AAF y con grandes pasos que tuvieron en el Birmingham Iron, pero la pandemia por Covid 19 suspendió la liga en la octava semana; siendo la razón por la cual probó suerte con las Eagles y los Lions.

Jugó en la XL un año después con los New York Guardians; mientras que en este año 2022 tuvo grandes participaciones en 9 partidos con los New Jersey Generals. En estos enfrentamientos logró registrar 1,200 yardas y nueve touchdowns.
Pérez es propietario del mejor rating de la liga XFL, con un sobresaliente 145.9, estadística que le permitirá buscar una nueva oportunidad en la NFL con los actuales campeones del SuperBowl.

Polystyrene activated linear tube carbon nanofiber for durable and high-performance supercapacitors

With increasing demand for sustainable energy, it is essential to develop low cost, high performance, and environment-friendly materials for energy storage application. Metal oxides and sulfides are mostly being used as electrode materials for energy storage devices. However, their wide applications are precluded due to their higher cost, low stability, and adverse effect on the environment. Therefore, development of environment-friendly supercapacitors with low cost, high performance, and stable performance is a big challenge. Here, we report surface engineered carbon nanofibers for durable and high-performance supercapacitor. Surface engineered carbon nanofibers showed the highest specific capacitance of 277 F/g (at 1 mV/s), along with superior flexibility and cyclic stability. Moreover, they showed high energy and power density of 30.5 Wh/kg and 8.3 kW/kg, respectively. The cyclic stability showed almost 100% retention in charge storage capacity up to 5000 cycles. Electrochemical properties of a fabricated symmetrical supercapacitor device using these carbon nanofibers showed improved charge storage capacity at elevated temperatures. The charge storage capacity improved by over 150% by increasing temperature from 10 to 60 °C. Our results suggest that surface engineered carbon nanofibers could be a potential candidate for higher performance and durable supercapacitors.
