Seeing all the zutara, kataang post where they analyze every episode for the bare minimum (they held hands, she kissed his cheek, he kept her from falling) is killing me cause I remember doing the exact same thing for Teen Titans back in the day except it was BBRae and RobRae.

I had a whole list (mind you before tumblr was like super popular so this was HANDWRITTEN) going oh he caught her when she fell, they both laughed at this joke, she smiled at him in this exact scene. Omg I was down in the trenches bad and so are yall I love it 🤣

If it’s one thing the girlies gonna do it’s overanalyze every little detail for our ship.

Now I look back and laugh it was a fun time but baby I can’t imagine being that obsessed about a show ever again.

Healing Wounds and a Promise

Summary: The Titans had a hectic battle with Cinderblock in Jump City, leaving Changeling wounded because he was an idiot and Raven has to heal him.

“Just focus on me and try to relax.” Raven told Garfield Logan, coaxing him to lay back down on the medical bed in the recovery room of the Titans Tower.

Garfield winced in pain as he used one arm to cover his waist and another arm to moved towards the small white pillow that was on top of the medical bed and placed his head on the soft surface of the pillow. “I’m fine Rae-Rae you know me right?” he asked her, giving her a toothy grin, trying to ignore the pain that shifted in his waist when he had spoke.

Raven ignored him and waited until he laid down on the medical bed before using a hand to lift up his ripped uniform shirt. “Hey, hey, normally dinner would be first before clothes comes off.” She heard Garfield said, smirking at her when she rolled her eyes.

“Do you want me to heal you or not?” Raven asked with an annoyed tone that she would use on him. She stopped what she was doing and crossed her arms, waiting on him to stop joking around so she could finally use her powers to heal his internal and external wounds after a battle with Cinderblock earlier. Garfield nodded his head and Raven resumed back into lifting off his ripped shirt, frowning when she examined his wounds on the outside, wondering how awful it would be on the inside. She took a deep breath before looking at him. “This might hurt, just focus on me and relax.” She instructed, moving her hands towards his waist.

“I’ll always focus on you, Rae.” Garfield said with his signature grin.

“And that’s how we are here in the first place. You were focusing on me instead of yourself. I had Cinderblock in my sight. Why did you have to intervene. Again?” Raven asked through gritted teeth, using her hands to hover over Garfield’s bruises and internal wounds.

This wasn’t the first time this had happened. Raven counted at four times that she had to heal Garfield from wounds from intervening her battles with villains, knowing full well that she could handle herself thanks to her half-demon powers and she’s been training herself hard with the leader Dick Grayson and the others including Garfield himself.

“Couldn’t help myself. You know that better than anyone.” Garfield told her, trying to ignore a stabbing pain that quickly went away thanks to Raven’s powers. “I’m being protective.”

“You know that I don’t need protecting. I’ve told you this before,” Raven said, frowning at him with a shake of her head, making a few strands of purple hair fall out from her ponytail. “Just what in the Azar is going on with you that you can’t follow simple instructions?”

“Nothing,” Garfield said a little too quickly, biting his lip when Raven lifted a brow at him, knowing that he was lying.” It’s nothing. I’m just…”

“You’re lying,” Raven pointed out, before resuming healing his wounds. “Try again.”

Garfield knew that he didn’t have a choice but to tell the empath the truth because she had already sensed that he was lying to her the moment he opened his mouth. There’s no such thing as lying to someone like Raven and Garfield should know that by now. “I just don’t want anything to happen to you. Is that wrong of me?” he asked in a low voice, avoiding Raven’s amethyst stare.

He heard her sigh as she was finally done healing him and he sat up in the medical bed, watching her every move as she put up supplies in drawers and cleaning things around her. He bit his lower lip, wondering what she could be thinking right now and it was making him anxious.

“No it’s not,” Raven said finally, walking back over towards the green Titan. She could feel her face heat up when she stopped inches away from his green eyes. “You scared me back there Changeling. Don’t do that again. Promise?”

Garfield leaned forward to place a light kiss on her lips and was shocked but quickly adjusted himself when Raven made their kiss deeper, making it last longer before she pulled away first. “You know that I can’t promise you that Rae-Rae.” He admittedly told her before taking a breath when he saw that a look that she was giving him. “I’ll do my best.”

Somewhat satisfied with his answer, Raven reached out a hand to help Garfield off the medical bed. “Now that you’re all healed… Vic said something about lunch. Are you hungry?”

With the mention of food, Garfield’s stomach started to growl and he chuckled at her. “When have I ever said no to food? Let’s go!”

Raven rolled her eyes and she floated up stairs behind him, hoping and praying that he wouldn’t do that again, knowing full well that he wouldn’t listen to her anyways. She nibbled her lower lip before grabbing the Changeling’s hand, stopping him from walking up the stairs. She realized that she wasn’t satisfied with his answer after all. “Gar…”

Garfield looked down at their joined hands and then back at her. “I promise.”

“That’s all I wanted to hear.”
