Friendly reminder that if you used to go to Church or a Christian school as a kid, but did not continue to study or grow your faith as you got older, than - no, you actually don't understand Christianity on the same level as a practicing adult believer.
I'm tired of hearing people dismiss the Christian faith and say 'well, I went to church as a kid, so I know what you believe'. That's the same as saying, 'my parents took my to the aquarium every week as a kid, so I know as much as your average marine biologist'.
If you're going to brag about how much knowledge you have about Christianity anyway, you should at least try not to say it on posts where you get things blatantly wrong about the Bible, the Church or- idk- the core message of the Gospel.

you know what i think. i think women are starved for meaningful art and that’s why they get into witchcraft/wicca/tarot/etc. I stay as far away as possible from that stuff now, but I have to recognize that it is visually attractive. it has a history. it has a metaphysical meaning that tells a story. where else in our culture can we find that? we may see some in certain movies and video games, but those are inherently escapist; the art contained within them is not something we live out in our day-to-day.
I also think there is art in nature and our technological age is so cut off from nature, whereas witchcraft/wicca is very nature-based. it is the same sort of reaction to modernism the romanticists had, but much more nefarious. that’s why pre-Raphaelite art looks Like That. and it’s why the witch aesthetic borrows so heavily from pre-Raphaelite art. this is why Christianity must reclaim the arts and a high view of nature. in this essay i will —

The Primo Bee Thing is so. perplexing to me. just absolute peak Fandom Defined Personality Trait. sorry. He does say a bee dances "beautifully" in the sub in the one (1) time he ever brings it up in show but I get the impression it's coming from a place of irony and fiendish gleeful superiority moreso than a place of "bees are his favorite animal and he's obsessed with them."
This concept of like "look at this beautiful act this insignificant creature performs, it doesnt even know it's at the mercy of predetermined events, ha!" To Primo bees are these little dancing circus animals, a novelty, a perfect example of how another strain of life so insignificant in the wake of fate (humanity) should behave.
^ [ love that this view is also seen arguably even more clearly in the dub--where Primo called Yusei a bee that's lost its stinger, and talks about how stingerless bees will wander aimlessly until they die, helpless to the laws of nature. There's such an implied undercurrent of....hopelessness, to that <:,) ]
Just this idea that I trip over Once A Week At Least that Primo really likes bees is so funny. Like... No, Not Really. Aside from the novelty of their infinite dance he kind of DGAF about them. When Primo talks about insects in general it's clear he doesn't really think very highly of them at best, and at worst is Actively Dripping Rage and Disdain About the Sheer Concept Of Them (especially since he equates them with humans.</3)
Literally one of his Win Duel voice lines in Duel Links is "You're nothing more than a worm crawling on the ground." 🥴 Bugs are so far beneath him in his often documented opinion!! Bees aren't even Primo's motif or symbolic animal or anything, they're a symbol of humans in all takes on this scene!! Yusei's the one gettin compared to a bee around here!!!!
tl;dr "Primo loves bees and this is one of his personality traits" is literally just straight up wrong and it drives me a little insane and I needed to talk about it. I think about it Often. No more Homogeneous Fandom Decided Personality Traits Based Off of One (1) Comment Made By a Character society has moved past Homogeneous Fandom Decided Personality Traits Based Off of One (1) Comment Made By a Character!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

honestly maybe it's bc i'm from a small town in florida where we didn't have a lot of covid cases until spring break hit, and also florida just... never really enforced a lockdown but every time i see a post talking about the Youth Of Today were all extremely damaged by lockdowns its like??? i think maybe ppl just haven't been around a lot of kids but working at summer camp before and after lockdowns the kids (5-13) seem fine & their behavior is the same. i was a freshman in high school when covid hit and certainly some people had a rough time mental health wise and i had friends i didn't see for years bc they were immunocompromised and had to switch to florida virtual bc schools here just stopped offering online school. like, it sucked, it still sucks, it was definitely a disruption. I'm just really not seeing any visible kind of developmental or behavioral issues in young children, anecdotally. Especially not to the extreme level suggested in some posts

Y'know, sometimes you just wanna draw biblically accurate Jesus Christ wearing his famous cat ear headphones with his backwards baseball cap while doing kickflips on his crossboard while smoking a bible blunt.
