preface this by saying it isn't a defence. but. the dangerous thing about everyone needing to weigh in on everything these days is we never have enough information. IF this woman has been suspended for no apparent reason then that is bad. full stop blank statement. fuck red bull if thats the case.

BUT there is a possibility that she has been suspended on mental health reasons. this has been an incredibly harrowing time. her texts were leaked, her name all over twitter, tiktok and reddit. she took the ceo of a worldwide brand to court. if she needs a break from work, and has stepped back on a suspension on medical grounds, that is not a bad thing. what is bad is how this has all been handled and it is shameful and the sport has a dark cloud over it currently.

at the same time, we do not DESERVE to know this information. we do not deserve access, and answers, and detailed explanations on this. but i beg people actually sit and think about the way the news is being reported currently and question what it actually means for once

if fernando gets deaged back to 25 in AM in the middle of the season, it's over for him and lance. not only does lance dislike the fernando that just got his 2nd wdc title and is the weirdest motherfucker ever, lance still wants to suck his face and dick so bad (he still hasn't done that yet, somehow, at this point). fernando is in that weird transition of haha yes! first place is the only place ever for me! he has never yet known the meaning of camaderie in motorsports has never yet known what it's like to flop so hard at another kind of race, and hasn't yet gone through a divorce and hasn't narrowly lost a championship yet while with a team he wanted to win with the added prestige of its name. but he hasn't yet experienced full-on mind games and email warfare with ron dennis yet either and has never been electrocuted by mchonda. so he doesn't actively dismiss and brush off lance being nice to him either. lance is like mildly annoyed at this fernando but being SO NICE about it, of course; fernando's english is a bit more stilted than lance has known it to be and he'll give fernando the benefit of the doubt every time he says something rude while lance is keeping him company in the hotel room and trying to figure out how to age him back. lance flirts with him all the same batting his eyelashes and fernando thinks it's a scare tactic. somehow, he lets lance jerk him off once to prove something. then they try blowjobs -- fernando's just thinking about all the girls he slept with when he won his first title and was busy partying for 2 months -- joke's on him, he can barely remember anything while lance is sucking his dick. whatever. it's a weird experience for him, and it is for lance too but lance is like, so happy, that he gets to do this, weird deaging aside. he just wants to make fernando feel good. fernando does not feel good after, in fact, he tells lance to get out of his hotel room right after. he gets deaged back the next morning while lance is pacing outside his room and lance is so relieved. everything is fine and 42-yr-old fernando would prefer they never ever bring it up again. he's having a crisis over his sexuality now.

help this post has infected my brain i can't stop thinking about some journalist ex-colleague of trent's just watching the entirety of richmond's football team + several members of the staff (including ted lasso) scoop him up and sprint across the pitch holding him aloft. this has so much comedic potential. im just picturing so many different like. tableaus. jan maas giving an absolutely stoic trent crimm a piggyback ride. exact same position but it's jamie tartt and trent crimm appears to be pointing directly ahead as tartt cackles and charges. they topple over. dani rojas has elected to carry him bridal style for some reason. sam obinsanya, who was supposed to be one of the reasonable ones, follows his example. one of the players has trent fully sitting on his shoulders somehow and somehow they don't fall. both the participating coaches (ted and beard) simply throw him over their shoulder and book it. for one of them he appears to be laughing loudly for the other his arms are crossed and he is making such a pointed expression of grumpy tolerance (like a cat who has been picked up and is resigned to it but he's not gonna like it!) that it is clearly exaggerated. trent makes exactly one (1) attempt to carry someone else (it's roy) and he actually does fairly well considering but they do end up sprawled on the grass and just. roy flat on his back staring at the sky, trent having half pushed himself up on his elbows, hair a complete mess, laughing. they're all arguing about times. there are fans sitting in on practice who can Just See All This. like. you know how there's like bullshit nothing articles about dumb shit? just. some "article" that's like "richmond appear to be doing wife-carrying races as training for some reason, and even more bafflingly, trent crimm appears to be the wife in question. anyway here's our top twenty photos of this because it is funny and weirdly wholesome." and then it's all over twitter for like three days. trent's ex-wife is texting him like "babe why are you a meme now". keeleys like "good news this is great pr! bad news [sends trent a candid shot of ted scooping him up unexpectedly and trent very obviously blushing]" and trents like "ah." some of the photos are hilariously blurred in motion. they're pretty much all smiling. forget about the realistic "but would they get criticism for not taking practice seriously" shhhh. everyone is enjoying this. it's about the wholesome nature of the whole team playing around and genuinely having fun together and also trent is too. formerly feared respected scary journalist cackling like a little kid while balanced precariously on the shoulders of a premiere league footballer. it's cute. it's also extremely funny. how did anyone find this dork scary

Hello, backstory enthusiasts, and welcome to the ...

George and Maria Special! tm

As you might, remember, George and Maria are an integral part of Mother 1's plot, arguably the reason the entire trilogy takes place, and yet, we don't know much about them, do we?

Well lucky you, because the Mother Encyclopedia goes way more into detail than the game ever did and I'm going to summarize it so you don't have to!

Open up for the complete story of the two that started it all. I'll try to state it in chronological order.

As our original tale begins in the early 1900s, so does ours. Thus begins... the timeline.

George, orphaned young and then fresh out of high school, takes up a job as a letter-boy for a prominent paper in the "big city" (city unspecified), later being promoted to journalist.

After writing a large expose on the president, he rises to fame but also falls into conflict with the chief editor that leads him to break off on his own and move to Mother's Day/Podunk on the whim of a Help Wanted ad in its daily newspaper, The Mother's Day Times (presumably alternatively The Podunk Times), where he was hired as the editor-in-chief for a novelization of the town's history.

(Note: I will be using the EarthBound Beginnings location names from now on for simplicity.)

Upon his first arrival in Podunk, the first person he met was Maria as she sketched a carnation bed, her illustrations later being chosen to appear in George's piece. This would later lead into their marriage.

From there on out, they lived rather peacefully, with Maria often playing piano concerts to the town's children alongside George, until a dark cloud appeared around Mount Itoi's summit and people went missing en masse to later return with complete amnesia of whatever happened to them. (Not to mention the flying furniture ensuing as well.)

George, being the journalist that he was, however, saw this as a scoop and started an investigative report. While having no luck with any clues, he would publish what little he did find. And immediately fell missing alongside Maria as well. Ironic.

Two years, later, only George returned, visibly aged to become a recluse, dropping his work on the newspaper to focus on studying PSI.

... Maria never returned.

Thus, the events described in-game continue from here as another black cloud strikes back. Mother 1 has begun.

canon compliant bsd. dazai x ability user!gn!reader

started to binge bsd this week and now i’m on s4 >:))). gotta say eng dub for this series is honestly amazing (addicted to akutagawa’s voice tbh i'm here for it). s2 gave me so much brain rot so lo and behold, this idea with dazai.

might be a series. kinda like slice of life of reader and dazai and pm!dazai to ada!dazai. or an equivalent of an 100k+ fic slow burn lmao. 

reader’s ability is named momentum, which is the title of the potential series. the following bullet points are how their ability works. hopefully it makes sense lmao:

it’s an amplification ability that works on ability users, themself included. allows them to exceed their limits for a short period of time. activates by adrenaline rush. themself: only step required if applied to themself. ability users: needs to achieve that step plus contacting anyone through touch. think of it as a sound amplifier. it won’t work if the source and reader are too far away from each other. 

there can be fatal consequences from using the ability as it is dependent on adrenaline rush, which can have negative impacts. ability users: their abilities are at risk of overload, possibly leading to death. themself: would experience adrenal crashes and may not use their ability from 1 day to 6 weeks depending on the severity of the adrenaline rush.

reader despises it due to what happened to their older sibling, trying to repress it as much as possible and want to get rid of it (if that’s a thing). they basically want to live a normal life, a promise made to their dying older sibling. after their death, reader inherited their house and left all of their belongings untouched. they’re still able to go to school despite all that, though doesn’t have many friends.

the goal of normalcy ends when they meet dazai at the school rooftop at 15, the time when he became an executive of pm. similar to atsushi’s first encounter, he tries a new way to commit suicide by jumping off there, scaring reader shitless. they consider dazai as their first friend.

he’s anything but normal. people are after him for who knows what reason, and unfortunately reader got dragged into the mess of an enemy group’s crossfire. they’re forced to use their ability to protect him and themself. long story short knowing dazai, it’s a setup orchestrated by him. the enemy group’s none other than his division to capture the one responsible for a certain incident years ago, which involved their older sibling.

this is like a good chunk of the prologue. afterwards it’s the slice of life stuff featuring the pm and the ada ofc with some special division over there. expect fallouts between dazai and reader tho because that’s bound to happen.
