before his emo phase, Adam had a boy band phase, and so did Mira. they bonded over it

Mira is Thai (you can pry this hc from my cold dead hands)

Reeve has a really good singing voice, but no one knows because he never sings in front of them, until the group has a karaoke session

when he was a kid, Kai was obsessed with space and NASA and wanted to be an astronaut. now he's refined it into aerospace engineering instead

Vanessa has a calico cat that she treats like her child. she can be all mean and sassy but once the cat shows up she puts on her baby voice

everyone thinks Mira is an actual Disney princess. like, she's literally perfect at everything she does. the group makes her recreate the Snow White singing to the birds scene

Skeet is definitely a stoner. ik it's a kids show but he's legit one of those stoner coded characters who if it was the 90s would have been played by Matthew Lillard

Mira and Kai don't like horror movies, while the rest of the gang does. that creates problems for their movie nights when some people really want to watch a horror movie. they'll reassure them that "this one isn't that scary, it'll be fine" and those two end up getting scared anyways. if it's a sleepover they'll follow other people around for the rest of the night bc they're afraid to be alone

Reeve x Kai x Adam fic idea:

Where Reeve and Adam are exes through a misunderstanding. Individually meeting a cute redhead who they befriend and fall for, unaware that Kai is friends with both of them.

Eventually Adam or Reeve let it slip that they know the other, not specifying how. And Kais like “Oh you know him?! Im also friends with him too!!! Thats awesome!!!!” And Kai schedules hangouts with all of them together, forcing them to pretend to be friendly so they won’t upset Kai. Kai’s not an idiot tho and eventually figures out that Adam and Reeve don’t really like each other. He tries to get them to be friends through these hangouts. Adam and Reeve slowly grow to be able to stand the others presence and joke sometimes.

Eventually they figure out that they both have feelings for Kai and change the title of ‘exes’ to ‘rivals’. They do stunts and attempts of wooing him. Through these acts of romance, Kai falls for them both, but is confused due to the rivalry and them still trying to get along around him. He eventually confronts them and learns everything (including the fact that they’re exes). They end up asking him to choose between the two, with Kai liking them both, he brings up the proposition of him dating both of them if they’re okay with that. They’re reluctant but it seems like the best outcome they could have hoped for.

Time passes and through the multitude of dates, Kai notices that Reeve and Adam both still have lingering feelings for each other. Instances where they’ll both go to grab Kai’s hands and accidentally grab the others, blushing profusely after. Kai, finding this great news, thinks up schemes to get them to fall for each other again. Like reserving seats at a theater where he gets a seat far away while they sit together, watching giddily as Reeve and Adam act like this is the first date they’ve ever been on.

Eventually Kai helps Adam and Reeve fix the misunderstanding they had in the first place, allowing them to heal and become closer as a polyamorous couple.
