I love that I can quote the first few episodes of tma easily. Didn't mean to memorize it, but I've listened so often that it got ingrained haha

I remember once having a dream where I was Tim Stoker from TMA, but had faint memories of the podcast? but without knowing it was a podcast? and I thought I was somehow an eye/web avatar. Jon and Martin were, unknown to dream me at the time, time travelled from the eyepocalypse.

The archives was not at all dark academia in any sense, but more corporate?? Think white walls, tube fluorescent lights, monochrome furniture that's from IKEA???? Except for (I think) Elias' office which was the most dramatic thing.

It ended with killing Elias- the part of the dream I remember most. We had somehow(???) got Elias into Tim/My office where we filled it wall to wall with origami flower bouquets. Which were actually explosives in disguise.

We gave Elias a cake, sang happy birthday, lit the candle and scattered, as i woke up.

Listening to Re: Dracula while also listening to The Magnus Archives is. Not necessarily an experience I would recommend. Not the end of the world but like. Funny but a bit regrettable. Explanation under the cut so fewer people are accidentally exposed.

In both R:D and TMA:

Jonny Sims plays tired academics recording audio logs of their discovery of The Horror

AND

Karim Kronfli plays affably evil immortal monsters with a penchant for Fucking With People

Meaning that while I listen to R:D I spend all of Dr. Seward's tapes imagining Jonathan Sims, and while listening to TMA I spent a good deal of Simon Fairchild's monologue in E151 thinking "yeah you WOULD do that, Mr Dracula!"
