The different ways I can see Grimmons play out:

1)     It doesn’t and we’re all fine with it. The queerbaiting is a part of their nature by now, it’s okay, we turn to fanfiction for the love declarations and hand-holding.

2)     One of the final scenes of the show is just Grif and Simmons entering a closet together. No further context.

3)     They casually reveal they’ve been married for years. For tax benefits of course.

4)     One of them gets really hurt, and we get that dramatic emotional confession. Only to have the other one call them out for how cheesy it is.

5)     One of them says “I love you” and goes straight to Super Hell.
