Atlanta Season 4 Episode 5 Recap: Work Ethic!
The industry has a clause. It has 'in' within the name, right? As we're half way through the final season of #AtlantaFX, episode 5 "Work Ethic!" takes us all on a ride.
Dreams are funny. They can turn on a dime into nightmares, but they’re still yours to own. They can surprise you when least expected, perhaps even presenting a side you didn’t even know you had… or perhaps knew all along, but refused to check at the front gate. We open with Van (Zazie Beetz) driving with Lottie up to Chocolate Studios. Before security, both her purse and Lottie’s backpack are…

“Forgiveness is earned. And you have a long way to go.” + lexi!
I hope you like it! Feel free to send me more prompts if you want!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
She could feel herself fading as she looked at Wilie, Carly, and Caleb, and she looked at the three of them.
She found her friend, made amends with her parents, and she knew her time on Earth was ending.
"What am I going to do without you?" Carly asked, and Lexi looked at her.
"You're going to be fine: we'll be together soon." Lexi replied, and Carly nodded, smilng through her tears.
Lexi turned to Wilie, who was looking down at the ground.
"Don't feel bad about bringing Alex, Luke, and Reggie here: and whatever you may think, Alex still likes you."
That caused Wilie to lift his head from the ground, and gives Lexi a smile.
Finally, she turns to Caleb, whose expression was unreadable at the thought of her leaving.
Lexi remembers all the times they butted heads, and how angry she had been when Caleb stamped Reggie, Luke and Alex.
She was so used to Caleb being around that she came to think of him as a father figure.
A father figure who drains ghosts of their souls for something in exchange.
“Forgiveness is earned. And you have a long way to go.”
A bright light surrounded her, and then she vanished, leaving Carly, Wilie, and Caleb behind.

Murder of Robert Eric Wone
On August 2, 2006, Wone was fatally stabbed while staying overnight at a rowhouse on Swann Street in Washington's Dupont Circle neighborhood, owned by Price and his domestic partner Victor Zaborsky, where they lived with Dylan Ward as a polyamorous family unit. Wone had gone to Price's residence at approximately 10:30pm after working late, as had been arranged days before. Neighbors reported hearing a scream, later identified as Zaborsky's, during the 11:00pm newscast (i.e., before 11:35 PM). Zaborsky made a 9-1-1 call at 11:49 PM and paramedics arrived five minutes later, followed by the officers of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPDC). Price phoned Wone's wife, and Wone was pronounced dead at George Washington University Hospital at 12:24 AM on August 3. Price, Zaborsky and Ward all initially spoke with the police without attorneys, and video recordings of those interviews were shown at the subsequent conspiracy trial. The three men denied any involvement in Wone's death and speculated that an intruder had killed him. The three also denied any sexual relationship with Wone, and Wone's family have described him as both "straight and happily married". All three men attended Wone's funeral, where Price served as a pallbearer. Future U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who at that time worked at Wone's former employer Covington & Burling, called Wone "a kind and gentle man" who was "killed in the most horrible of ways". Paramedics responding to the emergency call "found the three residents’ calm behavior unusual; none were screaming or even helping direct the paramedics". According to Ward's attorney, detectives who interrogated the three housemates on the night of the killing informed them that they were the main suspects in the case, and asked many sexually charged, accusatory questions. Three days after the killing, the Gay and Lesbian Liaison Unit of the MPDC were called in, but unit head Sgt. Brett Parson declined to discuss the unit's involvement. Within two weeks of the murder, police publicly alleged that the crime scene had been tampered with. Investigators spent more than three weeks examining the Swann Street rowhouse in detail, "removing flooring, pieces of walls, a chunk of staircase, the washing machine, even sink traps". Allegations that the area around Wone's body had been cleaned were revealed in an affidavit in support of a search warrant for Price's offices at the D.C. law firm. The case remains unsolved.

location: amelia roberts apartment when: march 19, 2024 at approx 1:00 pm what: amelia finds out her (and liam's @grangerliam) life has changed.
For days Amelia felt different. She couldn’t pinpoint exactly what that meant but she could feel it deep within her bones. The exhaustion and nausea that she felt wasn’t the indicator that something was wrong as she often felt those when she didn’t get enough sleep or eat well enough. It wasn’t even the breast tenderness that caused her to swat Liam’s hands away when he got too close No, it was the gagging at the smell of coffee and not being able to drink even a sip of it without feeling like she was going to vomit that caused her to take a second. There were no other symptoms that could explain what she was feeling. She didn’t feel like she had a cold or the flu but she knew something was off.
After one of her clients had left their meeting, she didn’t have another client for a few hours which meant she was going to head home to rest. Before she left her office, the voice inside of her told her to look up her symptoms online and see what she could find. And the moment she did, she immediately regretted looking. Pregnancy was the number one indicator for the symptoms she felt but she couldn’t be pregnant no. She just had her period - right? Wrong. It had been over a month ago that she had her period and according to the app that she used, she was late. She couldn’t be late though. Maybe it was stress. Stress makes you late right? But even Amelia knew that even with stress her period was always on time.
Quickly grabbing her bags, she headed to the nearest pharmacy and grabbed five different pregnancy tests. She kept looking over her shoulders wondering if someone was going to see her buying these and more importantly someone that knew Liam. She didn’t want this to get back to him before she even had a chance to figure out if it was positive or not. Surely it wasn’t and she was just going crazy. After paying, she stuffed the contents into her bag and headed home all the while playing what she was going to do if it came out to be positive. Fuck she couldn’t be pregnant. She wasn’t ready. Liam wasn’t ready for god sakes. This can’t be happening.
Amelia rushed home in what felt like a blur. She needed to find out if she was crazy or pregnant which neither sounded like they would be too fun to experience. Throwing her bags down once she was inside the apartment, she grabbed all five boxes of pregnancy tests and headed to the bathroom. Taking each one out of their box, she didn’t bother to read the instructions. Pee then wait. It was pretty simple except she felt like she was going to vomit the entire time. After peeing on each stick and setting them on the bathroom counter, she headed to the kitchen to wait. Her first instinct at a time of stress like this was to have a glass of wine but she couldn’t do that. Fuck. She had wine on so many occasions in the past month so if she was pregnant now she was no better than her own fucking mother.
How could this happen? Well shit Amelia you know how to happened. She wasn’t on birth control because before returning to Covington, she wasn’t having sex so there was no need. Now though it was like her and Liam had sex too many times to even keep track of so of course this would happen. God what was he going to say if it was positive? Would he leave? Would he stay? Would he love this child? He can’t even say it to her so how could he say it to his child? So many thoughts raced through her mind for the next five minutes until her alarm went off causing her to basically jump out of her skin.
Here we go.
Amelia felt like she was on auto pilot as she moved from her kitchen to her bathroom. Her hands rested on the counter as she looked at herself in the mirror trying to give herself a pep talk. “You got this. Whatever the outcome is you’re going to figure it out okay? Take it one step at a time. Don’t panic.” She repeated this mantra two more times before she got the courage to pick up the first test. Two pink lines showed positive.
Second test: two pink lines. Third test: the word pregnant on the screen Fourth test: the word pregnant on the screen Fifth test: two blue lines
Each test indicated pregnancy and Amelia dropped to her knees, tears easily forming in her eyes and sliding down her cheeks. What the hell was she going to do now? Instincts told her to immediately call Liam but she didn’t. She couldn’t tell him yet. Maybe they were false. Maybe she got them mixed up with a someone else. (Really Amelia who the fuck else came and peed on sticks in the last five minutes? A ghost). She was being irrational because she knew they were hers and there was a little thing growing inside of her. The thought alone had her heaving over the toilet a few minutes later. After a few minutes passed, she returned to the kitchen and called her clients that she had appointments with to reschedule.
She had to tell Liam but not today. She didn’t want to think about today any longer. Instead, she changed her clothes into one of Liam’s shirts that he left over, crawled into bed and cried herself to sleep.

Cincinnati Gasped At The Idea Of ‘Trial Marriages,’ But Practiced Them Anyway
Judge Stanley Struble was fed up. As he looked over his docket in 1929, the judge grew suspicious that the Hamilton County Courts were being forced into abetting the immoral practice known as the “trial marriage.” It was increasingly common, Struble noticed, for Ohio teenagers to elope to Northern Kentucky, where marriage laws were much looser, and then, when the match proved unsatisfactory, to ask Ohio courts to annul the union on the basis of their immaturity. Judge Struble told the Cincinnati Post [30 November 1929]:
“These marriages seem to be becoming a habit among youthful couples, and clerks who issue licenses in such cases seem to be interested only in obtaining the fees, the same as would appear the case of those who perform these marriage ceremonies.”
Judge Struble held two annulment appeals aside until further investigation revealed the motivation behind those cases. The couples placed under the microscope were Leola Stouder McCloskey, who testified that she was only 16 when she married 19-year-old William McCloskey in Covington in 1926 and Elizabeth Bruenen Edwards, married at age 16 to Robert Edwards in Newport, also in 1926. In neither case did any testimony reveal why each couple had waited three years before seeking annulment.
Tumblr media
Judge Struble was reacting to a controversial topic that had stirred debate in Cincinnati since at least 1906 – the idea that temporary marriages, giving couples a no-fault option to leave the marriage after a brief trial period, were the solution to the social problems of divorce. The idea was most popularly promoted by pioneering anthropologist Elsie Clews Parsons in her 1906 book, “The Family.” Almost from the day it was published, Doctor Parsons’ book was widely (if surreptitiously) read and just as widely condemned. The Post [23 November 1906] was editorially outraged, claiming that it was already too easy to terminate a marriage:
“The reform is needed in the other direction. We need to get rid of the feeling that marriage is a mere experiment.”
In condemning the concept of trial marriage, The Post had lots of company. Doctor Sarah Siewers, one of Cincinnati’s foremost suffragists, told the Post [20 November 1906]:
“Abominable! Who ever heard of a woman making such a fool of herself? Why, the plan Mrs. Parsons proposes means the end of society and the home and a reversal to the dark ages. The whole thing is disgusting to me. The only solution to the divorce problem is for men to behave themselves better and for women to insist on being treated as equals, not as inferiors or slaves.”
Mrs. Jessie Oliphant, described as a “Norwood club woman,” declined to comment:
“It is a very serious problem that Mrs. Parsons has started out to solve. The subject is very distasteful to me and I would rather not discuss it.”
Judge John A Caldwell was four-square against the idea:
“Trial marriage could be no marriage at all, and would ultimately destroy the marriage relation altogether. Such a system would destroy the home, the greatest of all our institutions, and would illegitimatize thousands of children”
The more opinions the Post published in opposition to trial marriage, the more letters it received in support of the concept. Furniture dealer Maurice C. Williams wrote [26 November 1906]:
“The views of Mrs. Parsons, as expressed in the book, ‘The Family,’ are as the faint rays of a dawning day which become gradually more resplendent until the shimmering light gives way to the sun in all its glory, casting its benignant influence over all. So it will be with man. The ideas advanced are along the lines of altruism.”
In the same issue, cabinet maker Fred Walthard (Yes, most of the supporters of trial marriage were men.) wrote:
“The majority of marriage ceremonies still take place in churches or similar places, where a priest is the ‘matador.’ But you don’t find one couple out of a thousand that are advanced enough to seek the judgement of a reliable physician concerning their match. I am afraid the divorce problem will never be solved so long as law and religion have everything to say about marriage and science nothing.”
An unnamed judge of the Hamilton County courts dabbled in statistics and informed the Cincinnati Post [28 October 1909] that all marriages were trial marriages anyway, and that he had the data to prove it. Looking over his cases for the past month, the judge found 140 divorce suits. Of these, 107 requests for divorce were filed by couples married less than 10 years:
“’Proving,’ said a Judge of the Hamilton-co. courts, ‘that marriage is naturally a 10-year-trial proposition. The figures indicate to me that couples who manage to live together for 10 years will in most cases stay married the rest of their lives, and the couples unsuited for each other usually find it out before 10 years are over.”
The anonymous judge scoffed at the idea of a trial marriage, since his experience showed that all marriages had a natural trial period built in. A closer look at his numbers revealed that 73 divorces – more than half of the month’s total – involved marriages that had not yet marked a five-year anniversary.
Spotting a saucy topic, the entertainment industry jumped on the trial marriage bandwagon. Cincinnati audiences enjoyed a play and a couple of silent films based on the trial marriage concept.
As late as the rock ‘n’ roll era, the Post’s medical advice columnist, Dr. George W. Crane, warned young women to avoid over-sexed men who proposed this immoral arrangement [16 September 1958]:
“Trial marriage usually is suggested by a person who may feel sexual infatuation but no true love. And there is a whale of a difference! Trial marriage definitely does NOT benefit the girl. She makes the sacrifices and is likely to be left pregnant and unable to earn a living for herself.”

ABOUT
Full Name: Georgia Mae Abhrams
Nickname: Georgie, GMA (In her sister’s phone, does a great Robin Roberts impression), Gigi

Zodiac Sign: Pisces
Gender: Cis Female
Place of Birth: Covington, GA
Neighborhood: Avonlea Terrace
Sexual/Romantic Orientations: Bisexual / Biromantic

PERSONALITY
Goals/Desires: Above all else, Georgie's biggest desire is to be loved, to be wanted. It's all she's ever wanted since she was a child, love and affection. And her utmost desire is to have that piece of herself fulfilled. Outside of her never ending need for acceptance and love, however, she wants to make her family- specifically her siblings- proud of her. She wants to make her life worth something, prove she's worthy of the Abhrams name even if she's hated living in its shadow her entire life. She just wants to matter.
Fears: Dying alone, snakes, heights, forgetting to brush her teeth before leaving the house, never hearing the words "I'm proud of you" from another Abhrams
Hobbies: Going for long runs, cooking new recipes, sleeping until noon, redecorating the pool house on her parents' property she lives in, sending 'accidental' nudes to people she shouldn't, trying to find where she left her epipen, staring at the night sky and making up her own constellations with their own tragic backstories
Likes & Dislikes: high heels, sunlight, anything smothered in cheese, pickles, ice cream, sparkling wine, the sound of her niece's laughter, the warmth of a prolonged hug, smiling until her cheeks hurt, 'self care' days, spending the day in bed, cashmere sweaters, fuzzy socks, hydrangeas, surprise visits, hot showers, men in grey sweatpants // unbrushed hair, ill-fitting clothing, complete darkness, creepy crawly animals, shooting ranges, loneliness, feeling helpless, hot coffee, having to drive herself places, ebooks, mismatched patterns, being told what to do, the way the smell of fire stays in your clothes and hair, the fact that she'll never be a mermaid, chipped nail polish
QUICK FACTS (quick is subjective tho bc idk how to tldr anything and summarizing isn't really my strong suit)
Trigger Warnings: Missing Person & Child Abuse Mention
Born and raised in Covington, Georgia “Georgie” Abhrams is the youngest of the four Abhrams children and if she had to give herself a label- she’d say she’s the black sheep, the family disappointment
She was never her parents’ favorite, despite trying her hardest as a child to get their love and affection, Delilah and Benjamin already had their focus on their eldest children. Georgie did everything to try and make her parents proud, following in her eldest sister’s footsteps in learning the piano and attending cotillion. Ensuring she didn’t act out in public to affect their father’s political image, always looking her best. But it was all to no avail.
So when falling in line and doing everything she could to be the best Abhrams she could didn’t work, Georgie realized what did work was acting up and acting out - it started simple, throwing a fit in the store or making faces during public appearances - anything her young mind could do to get their parents attention. Because despite the fact that it was bad attention, at least they were acknowledging her existence.
As she grew older, Georgie grew more bold, more wild. She hung out with people too old for her adolescent self, got brought home by the cops a few times. It was during those times she’d garner her father’s coveted attention. Sure, it was pure anger- raised voices and hands- but at least he was acknowledging her. Georgie didn’t care what kind of attention she got from her parents, as long as they were speaking to her. At least then she could trick herself into believing they cared.
Despite everything, though, Georgie loved her family and was loyal to them to a fault. A loyalty that was put to the test when she was just 17 years old. She’d met and fallen in love, feeling wanted and appreciated for the first time in her life really lightened the wild blonde’s personality and things began to fall into place for her. Until, that is, her father found out. He normally wouldn’t have cared who his youngest daughter spent her time with, proven by his past indifference, but the boy the youngest Abhrams had fallen for was the son of the man who’d beat Benjamin for mayor and he made her choose. Her boyfriend or her family. An impossible choice, but one Georgie made without blinking, her loyalty shining through the cracks of her broken heart as she ended the relationship she’d come to treasure.
So she went back to her chaotic ways, doing whatever she could to heal her broken heart until she left Covington for college at 18 years old with no intention of ever looking back. If Covington didn’t want her then she’d find a way to make a name for herself elsewhere.
Georgie took to college like a fish to water- not academically, but socially, joining a sorority her first semester and finding people who didn’t tie her worth to her last name. Sure, a lot of her popularity came from the way she showered her friends with gifts, but Georgie finally had the love she’d craved her entire life. And then she met him.
It was only her second semester of freshman year when she’d gone to a rodeo with her sorority sisters and a flask full of tequila. She may have been halfway through the flask when their eyes locked, but she felt instant sparks. He was a bull rider, all danger and sex appeal, and Georgie was powerless against his charms. In usual Georgie fashion (acting on impulse), after a whirlwind courtship the youngest Abhrams left college before finishing her first year and took off on the rodeo circuit with her new beau.
It was everything she could have ever hoped for, the adventure, the romance, the sex. It was perfect, at least until his wife surprised him on the road one day and suddenly Georgie was forced to hide away for two days in another rider’s fifth wheel. When his wife finally left, Georgie was incensed. The fight that ensued was loud and aggressive, but at the end of it Georgie didn’t leave. When faced with the choice of going back to college, or worse, going back home, and staying with a man who’d only ever be able to keep her as his dirty little secret? Well, Georgie chose to stay. At least there she had the attention and adoration she’d sought out her entire life.
And stay she did. For a year and a half, until his wife forced him to make a choice. Their marriage or his mistress. And he chose his marriage, a choice that tore Georgie up more than she’d ever like to admit. And she ended up coming back home with her tail between her legs, moving back into her childhood home with the parents that continued to ignore her. Back to her life as the invisible Abhrams child at 21 years old.
For the next decade or so, Georgie floated through life just as she’d done her entire life. Despite being the only one of her siblings who came back home and stayed with their parents, she continued to be ignored by Delilah and Benjamin unless she was causing havoc that made their family look bad. She continued to hope that one day she’d be good (or bad) enough to garner her parents love and affection, but the older she grew the dimmer the hope was- even if it never fully went away
But then, another twist of fate brought her the attention and affection she’d always wished for from her father when she started dating a man nearly twice her age. Pierce Montgomery was made of old money and older political ties that Benjamin, upon hearing of the relationship, instantly felt he could exploit
Suddenly, the dad Georgie had always wanted was in her life. Interested in her relationship without trying to end it. Asking how she was, inviting her and Pierce to dinner with him and Delilah. She had everything she’d ever wanted and, despite knowing deep down that her father’s attention came full of strings and wouldn’t have happened without Pierce being in her life, Georgie reveled in it. Which was why she stayed in the relationship months longer than she should have. She couldn’t remember the charismatic politician everyone spoke of when they talked about her father, but suddenly there he was. Because of her. Because of a choice she made. And despite having her own job, she got behind her father and his decision to get back into politics.
But as quickly as Benjamin’s affections came, they were gone when her relationship with Pierce inevitably came to an end. And no matter how hard Georgie tried to stay in the loop, to be useful to her father and his rejuvenated political aspirations, she was once again cast to the shadows. So when Benjamin turned up missing, it was easy for Georgie to turn on the waterworks and pretend to be the worried, grieving daughter for the public. Just like her mother wanted her to be, but deep down? Georgie couldn’t help but to feel relieved. She may never have gotten to know her father, but now she didn’t have to worry about fighting for his attention and he was finally back in the spotlight like he’d always wanted.

saw (and wrote) a lot of shit about the newest (and even older) books from Pixelberry so I decided I would make a positive list for once. Hugh spoilers ahead.
By alphabetical order (if a book is not there, it means I haven't played it yet):
Across the Void: the three different endings. It could have been dealt with better, like actually spending time on vanguard/jura planets or with vanguard/jura people rather than just having us listen to the endless arguments of the siblings, but it was nice to be able to chose an end. Also nice to have different MC
America's most eligible: the smiley system. Don't remember much of the books tho so there might be more.
A very scandalous proposal: the letters which enabled us to live the life of that ancestor of Simon/Ava.
Baby Bump: the blanket patch, the fact that Mr Covington was totally on board with trying to take responsability for putting MC pregnant without having to be forced to. All the people we could ship together. The former fiancée's and Covington Sr's redemption.
Big Sky Country: Duke not being a bad guy despite fitting some criterias for it (unattractive sprite, the city dweller son who left the ranch and doesn't know how to take care of it...), the fact him calling the guy from AgraCorp was seen as a move in character and not as an act of treason or not only, the fact Brooklynne, while a blogger, wasn't a birdbrain child.
Blades of Light and Shadow: everything basically, but mainly the fact it's not genderlocked, that we can be elves, orcs or humans, the fact we could flirt with Aerin, the fact Baldur was still considered a bully even after Aerin's true colours being revealed, I mean frankly we tend to redeem bad characters to whom bad things happen... here, none of it. The whole powers system.
Bloodbound: the fact the collectibles were actually woven into the bloodkeeper storyline. Kamilah's character was well written too. Lester being a creepy leech and that being addressed and not normalized like in more recent books. Didn't finish the series yet so can't say more right now.
Crimes of passion: I kinda liked the general ambiance and the whole infiltrating the cult thing. Not much else to say tho.
The Crown and the Flame: The plot oh my god the plot is sooooo good. Maybe too many LIs, like, it appeared later but that book could have used a system like in TE where you chose your sexuality at the beginning and only get propositions of premium flirt scenes with LIs from your orientation? I mean it would have spared me a bit of time. I LOVED the dynamic between Dom and Rose, too bad she wasn't there after some point but I headcannon she went into hiding with Tristan, helping civilians fend for themselves, all that, and that after the war she reunited with Dom. The whole fire and legend score was great too, and the fact we had two alterning pov was chef's kiss. The different cultures/uniforms, the LIs, having the possibility to slap Marco in the first chapter was great... yeah basically everything was great except for a few details here and there.
A courtesan of Rome: Loved that book. Having the possibility to sleep your way to vengeance instead of making it a book in which you fall in love with one of the roman LIs and abandon your revenge project, that was great. Shall I add that Anthony was hot? Nah, you already know that. Wasn't a great fan of Delphinia and the other members of the family's pov, but I love the system, I just didn't get fully attached to the characters themselves, so on me, not on pb.
Desire and Decorum: loved that through and through, Ernest my beloved, etc. Matching a former LI with someone else and deciding who Briar ends with was great too. I wish we could match former LIs with side characters more often.
DIstant Shores: Loved that too, from the number of scenes with each I guess Edward was the main LI? I went with the guy from the navy. Many criticize the ending on a cliffhanger with Robert's sudden rise from the dead unexplained, but I loved that. It kind of made an open end in which we knew the great lines of what would happen next thanks to the museum visit.
The Elementalists: loved it. can't really explain why, must be the general vibe. Oh yeah, and the fact we could chose our sexuality beforehand. Avoided weird moments with rejected LIs (well you still rejected some but not as much, and none at all if you decided you were ace)
Endless Summer: loved everything. The plot, the art style, the smiley system, the three possible endings, the large cast, the different LIs who each had a tragic but compelling backstory without being the same as the other three, shipping other members of the large cast together... everything was great.
Foreign Affairs: loved the general vibe, was less a fan of the whole sex scandal storyline.
The Freshman Series: kinda liked it. A bit of a soap opera vibe. Too long tho, and the side books (luxury getaway/masqued mascarade/love bites all that) where too much, because if you're a completionist and a monogam you cannot combine both since, if you want to ever finish all the books on the app you'll have to rerun the whole series or cheat on your main LI in the side stories.
The haunting of Braidwood Manor: creepy and grim, but in a good way. Compelling story. Short, too, so it doesn't get too creepy. The whole ''accepting the truth and finding peace'' was so sad but wholesome.
The Heist: Monaco: loved it, Ansel's got a very punchable face, the heist system was good, the trust scores too, the three possible endings but you dont chose, your score choses, was great. The two possible characters for each member of the team? chefs kiss.
Hero: why oh why was there no second book? yeah I know why, something about being too expensive, but still, why? That was great. General vibe and art style? Great. Characters? Good. Cliffhanger? Aaaargh (affectionate)
Home for the Holidays: liked that we had the possibility to pitch Holly's book. Didn't leave me a great memory or anything so wont say more but it was not disagreeable.
Hot Couture: nice, the design notebook was quite a good mechanic too.
(here you've got Laws of Attraction but I wont say anything because I don't have anything positive to say)
It Lives: the stress/smiley system? Great. The storyline? Great. The Art? Great. The lore? Amazing in its simplicity. The characters? OK I didn't love everyone of them, but it was nice to have a large cast. Loved both books.
LoveHacks: nice story and multiple points of view in a large cast, good points for them.
Most Wanted: so great. Like the crown and the flame, I wasn't there at the beginning of the app, and I only played them recently after many others, but they still have that atmosphere that sets them appart from the rest, like they want us to know they are the eldest children of the app.
Mother of the Year: that was cute and wholesome and I loved the antagonists, sympathized with the protagonist and ardently loved hating the two main villains.
Ms Match: meh, didn't really like the forced romance (and when I mean forced, I mean whether or not we like it we end up in bed with the LI in the first chapter) but it had that somewhat nice vibe and that revenge/exposure scene at the end was nice.
Nightbound: great storyline.
Open Heart: loved Ethan but when he didn't trust me at all in the third book I broke it off with him but that's none of your business I'm just still not over him. It was nice to have the whole ''we change patients every once in a while'' thing although I have to admit it is true the second and third books were not as good as the first.
Passport to Romance: nice I guess. Didn't leave me any lasting memory nor trauma.
Perfect Match: didn't finish yet but it was quite inventive and compelling, full of twists and turns. Tbh it was kinda indescribable.
Platinum: like it as a whole, but won't leave me any lasting memory either.
The princess swap: well it's obviously not over yet but I love the story and the characters. It's cute.
Red Carpet Diaries: Loved it. I'm pretty sure it was the first books I played once I got out of the first story imposed by the app (ya know when you get to chose between romance and steamy) so it holds a particular place in my heart. Loved everyone. Oh, why didn't they put Thomas Hunt in it sooner, I had chosen Matt before and felt like it would have been cheating on him to change LIs halfway through. Like you guessed with my Ethan and Kamilah comments earlier I have something for stern LIs with emotionnal trauma or distance.
Ride or Die: I had a crush on Jason Shaw. That says it all. Appart from that my god what a book! Thought i would be bored or dissappointed because it would be ya know your typical ''oh my bf is a bad boy and my father is a cop what am i gonna do'' story but it was more a ''thriller slash spy story with corruption, illegal racing and gangs war'' book. And that was great!!!!
The Royal Masquerade: wow so many twists and turns, I was hooked all throughout the book. And the fact it felt (however true or untrue that might be) that our choices had lasting consequences, and of course the different possible endings, that was all great.
The Royal Romance: a bit weird of a story if you didn't chose Liam I think. I don't know, maybe we shouldn't have had so many LIs or we should have been forced to marry him for the sake of appearances while he would have been all in for MC having a lover on the side since they were not in love? Idk. I liked it tho.
Rules of Engagement: gotta love a multiple points of view story.
The Unexpected Heiress: loved all the twists and turns, loved the period drama, loved the period, loved the drama, loved the costumes, loved the crime story. Thought it would have been more believable if our sister hadn't been black by default, I dunno, I mean if they had such a hard time accepting a proletarian american among them, being black sure wasn't gonna make it any easier, and since MC's skin was customizable, and yet all the rest of their family (half siblings, step mothers, aunts...) was black... I dunno, either Amelia shouldn't have been black by default or MC's skin shouldn't have been customizable.
Veil of Screts: LOVED that story. Thriller, crime, all that. Compelling characters, loving to hate the bad guys, twists and turns everywhere, just a gread book.
Wake the Dead: loved that book.
Wishful Thinking: original! Also like the fact she was the only one with powers contrary to elementalists or hero, it was original.
With Every Heartbeat: sad, bittersweet, but all that in a good way.
Wolf Bride: well I guess if you're around here for spicy scenes it's good.
So here was my list of positive things about the pixelberry stories, I do realize I did put a few negative things in it but it's out of love. Except for Laws of Attraction. Hate that book. Nevermind. Think positive. Think positive.
