WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE OLD SCHOOL CHOPPER BUILDERS
WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE OLD SCHOOL CHOPPER BUILDERS
WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE OLD SCHOOL CHOPPER BUILDERS? The good ole days us old timers call it. A time where a motorcycle was bare bones. The early 2000s saw a half attempt at bringing back the chopper. But it was an utter failure to me. been on a horrible art block so take this!
finally got down my designs for two key characters for a story im writing. Both of them being Deli’s ex’s.
Roland Suarez is Whaley’s cousin on his dads side and has a love for sports and the paranormal! Hes a himbo, pure of heart: dumb of ass. He dated deli back in high school! they are still on amazing terms that sometimes when he’s in town deli calls him and they hang out!
Gideon Richards is delis other Ex..and ine of the few she cant stand to be around anymore. another high school flame, Gideon was friends with the entire group and came from a rich family. he basically wore deli down to the point she gave into dating him....they have been on and off again for years in high school till she had it and officially dumped him. he didn't take it well.

(PB)

Download MIDI Converter Studio to a identified location. After obtain is full, launch setup and observe directions. Take heed to your favourite MIDI tunes on your MP3 player or use MIDI tunes as ringtones on your mobile phone! Fast MIDI to MP3 Converter can turn a bunch ofMIDI files into excessive-quality AC3, MP3, FLAC or a dozen other codecs in a matter of seconds. Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Combine Vol. 1 is the soundtrack album for the Marvel Studios movie Guardians of the Galaxy. Featuring the songs current on Peter Quill's mixtape in the movie, the album was launched by Hollywood Information on July 29, 2014. A separate film rating album, Guardians of the Galaxy, composed by Tyler Bates, was additionally launched by Hollywood Information on the same date, together with a deluxe model that includes both albums. The soundtrack album reached primary on the US Billboard 200 chart, turning into the first soundtrack album in historical past consisting entirely of beforehand released songs to prime the chart. Obtain and set up MIDI to MP3 Converter. All sheet music is accompanied by an MP3 you'll be able to hearken to to get a really feel of the music. MIDI to MP3 Converter is an ALL-IN-ONE audio converter that supports nearly all audio and video recordsdata. And it's full compatible with Vista and Windows 7. Creating thewav requires the involvement of your synth. NWC outputs MIDI only - like ALL notation packages - the audio is generated by the synth, some are seemlessly integrated and some are discrete. Set the conversion choices. This system will routinely detect that the file is in MP3 format. Different conversion options resembling "Bit Fee" could be customized, but the default choices will be positive for most users. I swear I remember seeing something about how our mind is so attuned to human language which you could listen to a weird MIDI-ized version of dialogue, hear completely nothing intelligible, then hear the original sound file of the dialogue, http://Www.magicaudiotools.com/ after which when you hearken to the MIDI-ized version once more you can't NOT hear and perceive what it's saying. Sunday Evening within the Snow is an educational piece for woodwind quintet. This piece has an ABA form. The first section starts slowly, and the second section-although not altering in tempo-has a faster rhythm. Stuffed with counterpoint, each instrument gets an opportunity to shine by enjoying the melody. It is an old melody I composed as a teen-ager, but revived for this unusual ensemble. Hearken to the MP3 recording of the stay efficiency by Shelly Suarez (flute), Gina Ebhardt (clarinet), David LaMay (clarinet), Laura Siberts (oboe), and Steve Rennings (bassoon). mp3 is simply sound (compressed, as compared to wav, however that is irrelevant here), whether or not it is music, canine barking, speech or road noise. You can mess around with Audacity with the intention to get a shorter clip or check out some filters. But on your first pass, I recommend doing the basic conversion (MP3 to WAV). Dithering - Applies 32 to sixteen-Bit dithering to 16-Bitwav andmp3 information. Dither should only be applied once to sixteen Bit audio file during the ultimate render (if at all). FL Studio makes use of a 'shaped' Dither algorithm that shifts a lot of the dithering 'hiss' above 10 kHz. To save your time, MIDI to MP3 Converter supports batch conversion. You'll be able to add a number of files, after which click "Convert" to transform all file in batch. Apart from the default sound font, AV MIDI Converter lets you use your favorite sound font. Just choose the relevant SF2 file. Use notation composer to create music from scratch, so you may focus on making music as a substitute of drawing notation. Undergo Synthfont's set up, and we'll be ready to start out changing! When Synthfont opens (If it would not, open it yourself), hit Control+ or File->Open MIDI. After that, browse for your MIDI file, and open it. Limitless video downloading and converting to MP3. Step 5- Then select Different uncompressed files". You can now set format choices here. Choose SDS (Midi Sample Dump Commonplace) from Header" tab. Choose to encode in accordance with your need. Lastly, click on Save" button.
The sounds are NOT within the MIDI file. But we commonly affiliate cheesy sounds with MIDI files because of the Roland GS Sound Set utilized by the Windows SW Synth (which dates back to 1996). Before start converting, you'll be able to select the Remove monitor four″ field to create a mp3 file without the melody track. When attempting to import MIDI files from NI Maschine into Dwell, please word that it needs some preparation in Maschine. You will discover extra information in this video tutorial. To be able to straight document MIDI from Maschine into Live, please watch this video.By the best way, there is a approach to convert MIDI recordsdata to OGG or FLAC format. For the OGG format you may need Ogg encoder, get it right here (Generic). The archive accommodates the file "", extract it into this system folder and rename it to "". Output:MP3,WMA,AAC,WAV,M4A,ALAC,AC3,FLAC,MP4,OGG and so on. Search for music formats > MIDI to make it your output format.

Previewing All 16 Manic Monday Matchups at Wimbledon
Tumblr media
By Chris Oddo | @TheFanChild | Sunday July 4, 2021
Tumblr media
It’s the wildest day in Grand Slam tennis. 16 round of 16 matches, and we’ve previewed them all.
With the first week of Wimbledon in the rearview mirror, we look ahead to a crackin’ manic Monday at the Championships. The best day in tennis—16 Grand Slam matches, all on one day, spread out across the grounds of the All England Club. How lovely is that?
Also Read: Wimbledon, Manic Monday, Order of Play Also Read: Wimbledon, Week 1, By the Numbers
Tumblr media
Without any further ado, let’s have a look at each of the matchups, starting with Centre Court:
[1] Novak Djokovic v [17] Cristian Garin Head to Head: Djokovic leads, 1-0 Key stat: Djokovic has won 17 consecutive matches at the Grand Slams, and at Wimbledon
The Skinny: Hard to imagine Garin, who entered Wimbledon with an 0-3 record at Wimbledon, making any headway against the World No.1. Djokovic dropped his first set of the tournament but since then he has mostly been dominant. The Serb has faced just seven break points through three rounds, and he has broken serve 14 times in 33 return games.
It’s been a great run for Garin, but he has won just 45 percent of his baseline points through three rounds, while Djokovic has won 57 percent of his.
[20] Coco Gauff v [25] Angelique Kerber Head to Head: First meeting Key stat: Gauff leads all remaining women in serve speed, and percentage of unreturned first serves and second serves, through three rounds.
The Skinny: This should be an incredible first-time meeting. Suddenly surging Kerber, the 2018 Wimbledon champion, has won eight straight matches on the grass. She’s come to life since taking the court in Bad Homburg, where she won the title on home soil (her first WTA title since 2018).
Meanwhile, Gauff has backed up her 2019 breakout performance (remember Cocomania? It’s back!) brilliantly, with one of the best serving weeks of her life. At 17, Gauff could be ready to take down a Wimbledon force, but Kerber will have the edge from the baseline—the trick for the German will be to get returns in play and make Gauff work.
[6] Roger Federer v [17] Lorenzo Sonego Head to Head: Federer leads, 1-0 Key stat: Sonego had never won a match at Wimbledon prior to this week
The Skinny: Roger Federer—he of the eight Wimbledon titles and gaudy 104-13 record at SW19—will take on a rising Italian that could potentially give him trouble, despite his lack of experience on the grass: Lorenzo Sonego. The key to the match will be Federer’s ability to clean up on serve. The Swiss has been broken just four times thus far at Wimbledon and he’ll need to hit his spots because Sonego will serve big and dictate from his end.
If Sonego plays free, with confidence, and embraces the Centre Court experience, we could be in for a close battle.
No.1 Court
[1] Ashleigh Barty v [14] Barbora Krejcikova Head to Head:  Barty leads, 1-0 Key stat: Krejcikova, the Roland Garros champion, stretched her Grand Slam winning streak to 15 on Saturday at Wimbledon.
The Skinny: Ash Barty is in her happy place, on the Wimbledon grass, sporting a Fila kit modelled after the one her idol and inspiration Evonne Goolagong wore while storming to the Wimbledon title 50 years ago. And she’s played herself into the tournament quite nicely. Barty dropped a set to Carla Suarez Navarro in her opener, but has controlled her last two opponents—Anna Blinkova and Katerina Siniakova—without needing to pull out her best tennis.
Krejcikova’s week one played out similarly. She dropped a set in her third-round match, and has actually committed more unforced errors (98) than winners (88) through three rounds. But she’s found ways to win, just like Barty. Now we get to see which one of these two former Roland Garros champions has the gumption to beat back the pressure and handle a world-class opponent on Monday—expect a crafty, nuanced battle, with rough patches and elevated tennis juxtaposed.
[4] Alexander Zverev v [16] Felix Auger-Aliassime Head to Head: Zverev leads, 3-0 Key stat: Both players are searching for their first Wimbledon quarter-final.
The Skinny: Zverev has a lot more experience in week two matches at majors, and he’ll look to put that to use against Auger-Aliassime, who can be prone to nerves and has never reached a Grand Slam quarterfinal.
There is also the fact that Zverev has won all six sets he has played against Auger-Aliassime, dropping just 15 games in the three previous meetings.
[WC] Emma Raducanu v Ajla Tomljanovic Head to Head: First meeting Key stat: At 338, Raducanu is the lowest-ranked player remaining in Wimbledon singles.
The Skinny: Welcome to the only all unseeded battle of Wimbledon’s round of 16. 18-year-old Brit Emma Raducanu has captivated the public by sweeping through three rounds in her first tour-level appearance, and she’s been given a nice draw as well—Tomljanovic, a hard-hitting first-strike artist, is playing her first Wimbledon round of 16, and is into the second week at a Slam for the first time since 2014. It will be a nervous affair for both, and the crowd on No.1 Court will certainly play a factor.
No. 2 Court
[7] Iga Swiatek v [21] Ons Jabeur Head to Head: Swiatek leads, 1-0 Key stat: Swiatek leads all players, male or female, in percentage of baseline points won, at 60 percent.
The Skinny: Of all the round of 16 matchups on Monday, this one could be the most intriguing. Swiatek has proven to be a steady force at the Slams, and she has been dominant in her three rounds at Wimbledon. She seems to have a clear picture of how she wants to play on the grass, and is growing very confident in her aggressive tactics.
But if there is a player with the potential to take her out of her comfort zone, it would be Jabeur, who has been able to keep her opponents on a string with a steady array of drop shots, slice and improv. Jabeur has won 36 of 47 points at net through three rounds, while Swiatek has made the trip to the net just 15 times.
But Swiatek’s confident handling of her serve might be the element that guides her through. She has held in 23 of 25 service games, and is winning 57 percent of second-serve points.
[5] Andrey Rublev v Fucsovics Head to Head: Rublev leads, 4-1 Key stat: Rublev has defeated Fucsovics four straight times.
The Skinny: Of course, they meet again! We had to expect this matchup the minute that Fucsovics told Rublev, on court in Dubai after losing to him in the quarter-finals this March, that he hoped he didn’t see him again in 2021. The very next week they met in Miami, and here they are again for a fifth meeting since last October.
Rublev has been under the radar at Wimbledon, but boy has he been good. The improvements he has made on serve will give him a significant advantage against Fucsovics, as it will allow him to strike first.
[2] Daniil Medvedev v [14] Hubert Hurkacz Head to Head: First meeting Key stat: Hurkacz is the only player remaining in the draw that has yet to have his serve broken.
The Skinny: Hubert Hurkacz won his first Masters title at Miami this spring, but he limped into Wimbledon on a six-match losing streak. He went 0 for the clay but the change of surface has suited the Pole well—he’s into the round of 16 without dropping a set.
But Medvedev is growing in confidence, thanks to his quarterfinal run at Roland-Garros, where he reached the quarter-finals, and his epic comeback against former Wimbledon finalist Marin Cilic on Day 6 (Medvedev’s first such comeback). The Russian was down two sets to love but refused to wilt. Now he has his eyes on a deep run.
Court 3
[2] Aryna Sabalenka v [18] Elena Rybakina Head to Head: Sabalenks leads, 2-0 Key stat: Sabalenka is the only Top-20 seed at Wimbledon that has yet to reach a Grand Slam quarterfinal.
The Skinny: Here we go again. For the second time in three majors in 2021, Aryna Sabalenka has reached the round of 16. In her 15th major appearance, the talented Belarusian will attempt to finally reach the last eight at a major. She has weathered a few storms to get through, easing past crafty Monica Niculescu in round one, then beating back a stern challenge against Katie Boulter—where she lost the opening set and fought like mad to win the second—to get to week two.
On the other side of the net? A juggernaut known as Elena Rybakina. All she has done on her Wimbledon debut is crush everything in her path. She has lost 17 games through three rounds and will be ready to pounce on Sabalenka if nerves sabotage the Belarusian’s game. Rybakina has dropped serve just once in 21 service games at Wimbledon thus far this year.
Buckle in—this match will feature some hardcore grass-court power tennis.
[8] Roberto Bautista Agut v [10] Denis Shapovalov Head to Head: First meeting Key stat: Shapovalov is the 2016 Boys’ Singles champion at Wimbledon.
The Skinny: Should be a bit of a battle for control in this contest. Shapovalov will look to get on the front foot in rallies and avoid playing too many grinding points with Bautista Agut. The Spaniard, in return, will look to do the opposite.
The imperative in this match will be Shapovalov’s serve plus one and his ability to hit winners when he needs them. Otherwise he’ll be forced into a battle that he may not be able to win against the cagey veteran. The Canadian can win this match, but he’ll only do so on his terms.
Court 12
[7] Matteo Berrettini v Ilya Ivashka Head to Head: First meeting Key stat: Berrettini has won eight straight on grass in 2021.
The Skinny: The Italian is looking like a future Wimbledon champion this year at SW19. And it’s all about holding serve. Berrettini, the Queen’s champion, has held serve in 47 of 48 service games and cracked the fastest serve of the tournament at 139. He’ll be a handful for anyone he faces, and especially a Wimbledon debutant like Ivashka.
That said, the Belarusian has been so impressive at Wimbledon through three matches—and he has a big game as well. But Berrettini’s edge in the serve and forehand should pull him through.
[8] Karolina Pliskova v [WC] Liudmila Samsonova Head to Head: First meetings Key stat: Samsonova has reeled off eight straight wins on grass.
The Skinny:  Speaking of stunning Wimbledon debuts, how about Russia’s Liudmila Samsonov, who took the Berlin grass-court title in June with wins over Marketa Vondrousova, Veronika Kudermetova, Madison Keys, Victoria Azarenka and Belinda Bencic. She’s continued to dominate on the Wimbledon grass, even if she needed three sets, twice.
Wins over Kaia Kanepi, Jessica Pegula and Sloane Stephens are further proof that the Russian is for real—especially on the fast-playing grass. The fact that she averages over 111 on her first serve—topping out at 121—really helps her organize her aggressive game.
Pliskova’s average first serve is seven MPH lower than Samsonova’s but the Czech has only been broken twice and has yet to drop a set. We could have a case of Karolina Pliskova peaking at the right time for the first time in a while at a Slam.
[30] Paula Badosa v [19] Karolina Muchova Head to Head: First meeting Key stat: Muchova reached the quarterfinals on her last Wimbledon appearance.
The Skinny:  As far as experience on the surface goes, the matchup favors Muchova, who reached the last eight on her debut last Wimbledon, and seems to have a game that is built for grass-court tennis. But full credit to Badosa, who entered Wimbledon without an 0-1 lifetime record, but found a way to power through three hard-fought victories to reach the round of 16.
Have to think Muchova is the favorite here, but Badosa, a quarterfinalist at Roland-Garros this year, has proven to be a resilient force on tour in 2021.
Court 18
[25] Karen Khachanov v Sebastian Korda Head to Head: First meeting Key stat: Korda was ranked 213 when he entered Roland Garros last autumn.
The Skinny: All eyes will be on 20-year-old Sebastian Korda, the world No.50, as he continues on his latest impressive run at the Slams. Korda become the first player 35 years to reach the second week at both Roland Garros and Wimbledon on his debut (only Bjorn Borg and Mikael Pernfors have done it in the Open Era) and he leads the tournament in forehand winners with 58.
He’ll go against a suddenly resurgent Karen Khachanov, who entered the week with a 16-14 record for 2021, but has been pretty dominant through three rounds. Grass suits Khachanov well—he’s 10-3 lifetime at Wimbledon—and he’s one of the few guys that can match power from the baseline with Korda.
[23] Madison Keys v Viktorija Golubic Head to Head: Tied, 1-1 Key stat: Keys is 18-7 lifetime at Wimbledon
The Skinny:  Madison Keys seems to be finding her strut after a challenging six months that saw her struggle to get matches under her belt and find her form. But Wimbledon—and any Slam for that matter—always seems to bring out the best in Keys. She’s firing on all cylinders and will look to overpower Golubic as she bids to reach her second Wimbledon quarterfinal and first since 2015.
For Golubic the challenge is simple: find ways to get Keys out of rhythm and make her miss. Easier said than done on this surface.

Carla Suarez Navarro heads to Paris after recovering from cancer

The 32-year-old Spaniard said in September that she was diagnosed with early-stage Hodgkin’s lymphoma and would need six months of chemotherapy. “I’m very excited to be able to participate in Roland Garros,” she said on the Spanish…

Tokyo marathon postponed

Rafael Nadal produced a vintage performance on Sunday to remain the king of the clay in Paris. The Spaniard’s flawless 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 win over Novak Djokovic brought him his 13th French Open title.
Perhaps more significantly though, Nadal’s win equalled Roger Federer’s record of 20 Grand Slam titles, the last of which the Swiss won at the 2018 Australian Open.
“Winning here means everything to me,” Nadal said on court straight after his win. “I don’t think today about equalling Roger’s record of 20 Grand Slams. For me, today is a Roland Garros victory. Roland Garros means everything to me… many of the important moments of my career have been here. The love story I have with this city and this court is unforgettable.”
The French Open usually starts in late May but was postponed until late September due to the coronavirus pandemic. And Nadal had some words of encouragement for the world’s fight against the virus.
“I want to send a message to all the people in the world,” Nadal said. “We are going through a tough moment with this virus, but everyone stay positive and we will beat it together.”

The organizers said they were “carefully reviewing plans that will adhere to the situation surrounding COVID-19,” and that they’ll do everything in their powers to “deliver a safe and secure event.”
Around 38,000 participants from around the world were to take part.

Özil not named in Arsenal’s Europa League squad
Mesut Ozil’s ostracization at Arsenal went to a new level Thursday when he was left off the team’s Europa League squad list for this season.
The 31-year-old Ozil hasn’t played for Arsenal since football started in June amid the coronavirus pandemic, leaving his future at the club in question.
Asked recently why Ozil _ one of the club’s highest-paid players, reportedly at more than $20 million a year, was out of favor, Arteta said: “The team is evolving, you can see the level they are achieving.”
Mercedes team member tests positive for COVID-19
Formula One champions Mercedes reported on Thursday that a member of their team had tested positive for COVID-19 but a spokesman said drivers Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas were clear.
“We can confirm that a team member has tested positive,” said a spokesman. “This has been handled and is being handled in line with FIA protocols, working closely with the FIA,” he added, without giving further details.
Six times world champion Hamilton leads Bottas in the championship by 44 points after 10 races.
Lack of fans factor in ‘crazy’ football results
Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Conor Coady believes the absence of crowds at stadiums is a major factor behind the surprising scorelines seen in the Premier League this season.
“Honestly, they are mad, the scorelines,” said Coady. “It’s a tough one to put your finger on, it really is. You look at it at the start of the season, some teams are ahead of others in terms of fitness, in terms of having a pre-season.
“The teams that have been in European competition obviously haven’t had that … so that might play a bit of a factor. I think fans play a big factor… I think we all want them back as soon as possible.”
Long-distance world records broken
Uganda’s Joshua Cheptegei and Ethiopia’s Letesenbet Gidey shattered the long-standing world records in the men’s 10,000 metres and women’s 5,000m in Valencia on Wednesday at an event dubbed ‘World Record Day’.
The 24-year-old Cheptegei ran a provisional 26 minutes 11.02 seconds in metronomic fashion to better the 26:17.53 minutes by Ethiopian legend Kenenisa Bekele from 2005. Gidey claimed the women’s 5,000m world record of her compatriot Tirunesh Dibaba by running 14:06.62 minutes.

Kvitova clinches semifinal berth at French Open
Petra Kvitova returned to the French Open semifinals for the first time in eight years on Wednesday after defeating Germany’s Laura Siegemund 6-3, 6-3, describing Roland Garros as her “lucky place.”
“It means a lot to be back in the semi-finals,” said 30-year-old Kvitova who was beaten by eventual champion Maria Sharapova when she made the same stage in 2012.
“After my last match, I was very emotional to be in the quarter-finals. Now I am in the semis. I never imagined this would happen after everything that has happened. This is my lucky place.”
Global Rapid Rugby cancels 2021 season
The 2021 season for the franchise-based Global Rapid Rugby (GRR) competition has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, officials said on Wednesday.
The competition, backed by Australian billionaire Andrew Forrest, had suspended its inaugural season after one round due to the pandemic before cancelling it entirely in April.
German FA in tax evasion probe
The German Football Association (DFB) headquarters and the homes of DFB officials have been searched on suspicion of tax evasion, Frankfurt prosecutors say.
It said six former and current officials of the DFB were suspected of having intentionally falsely declared income from advertising inside soccer stadiums during certain matches in 2014 and 2015 as income from asset management, leading to an evasion of 4.7 million euros ($5.52 million) worth of taxes.

Sancho apologises for party
Still in hot water with club and country over his flouting of coronavirus protocols, Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho took to social media to issue an apology.
“I would like to apologise for breaking the government guidelines and although I was unaware upon arriving of the numbers attending, I take full responsibility for my actions. I will make sure that I learn from this,” the 20-year-old said in a statement on Instagram.
England have delayed the call-ups of Sancho, Ben Chilwell and Tammy Abraham, whose birthday they were celebrating.
World #131 into semis at French Open
Argentina’s Nadia Podoroska became the first qualifier in the Open era on Tuesday to make the women’s semi-finals at Roland Garros after stunning third seed Elina Svitolina 6-2, 6-4.
World number 131 Podoroska had never won a Grand Slam main draw match before the tournament and is the first Argentine woman to reach the last four of a major since Paola Suarez in Paris in 2004. The 23-year-old Podoroska will play Polish teenager Iga Swiatek or Italian qualifier Martina Trevisan for a place in Saturday’s final.
Match-fixing probe at French Open
French police are investigating possible offences of organized fraud and sporting corruption linked to the French open, the Paris prosecutor’s office said on Tuesday.
The confirmation came a day after German newspaper Die Welt and French sports newspaper L’Equipe reported that police were looking into a first-round match in the women’s doubles competition. The reports said that one particular game in the match in question had aroused suspicions.

Jadon Sancho in hot water with Dortmund and England
Borussia Dortmund have announced that they are “in close contact with the English FA and the representatives of the national team,” following the publication of pictures showing Jadon Sancho at a party in London.
The winger was celebrating the birthday of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham at an event that flouted the recent coronavirus restrictions put in place in England. Sancho missed BVB’s last two games due to “throat infection” and the club are reportedly decidedly unimpressed with the 20-year-old’s decision to attend.
Meanwhile, there have also been calls for Sancho, Abraham and other England national team members in attendance to be dropped for the upcoming internationals.
Germany’s Siegemund reaches French Open quarterfinals
Germany’s world number 66 Laura Siegemund reached her first Grand Slam quarter-final on Monday, but garnered attention for more than just the result after ordering a plate of food to be delivered to her on court.
“I was trying to get some carbs in. I tried the bar. Couldn’t get it down really. I tried,” said Siegemund after her 7-5, 6-2 win over Badosa on Court Simonne-Mathieu. “I asked my physio to bring me something else. I just wanted to get some carb, some potato or rice.”
Energised by her food intake, she won 10 of the last 12 games to set up a quarter-final clash against seventh seed and two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova.
Turkish Grand Prix will be without fans
Next month’s Turkish Grand Prix will be held without spectators because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Istanbul government said on Monday. Turkey has registered nearly 325,000 coronavirus infections and more than 8,400 deaths.
The race, the 14th of 17 in Formula One this season, will return to Istanbul after a nine year absence on November 15.
Crazy scenes in Karting World Championships
A video that has to be seen to be believed. At the FIA Karting World Championship final at the Lonato circuit, Luca Corberi – whose family operate the venue – ended up throwing his bumper at a rival before ignoring marshals as he stormed off across the track after an incident knocked him out of the race.

Zverev out of French Open
Alexander Zverev was knocked out by 19-year-old Italian Jannik Sinner, playing his first Roland Garros, 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. Sinner’s reward is a quarterfinal against the king of clay, Rafa Nadal. Zverev meanwhile, says he wasn’t feeling well.

German qualifier serves up career best
Daniel Altmaier, ranked 186th in the world, beat seventh seed Matteo Berrettini in the French Open 6-2, 7-6, 6-4.
The 22-year-old was not even sure he would make his debut at Roland Garros as he was struggling with an injury and needed a go-ahead from a doctor at the last minute to take part in the qualifiers.

Bundesliga player tests positive for COVID-19
Wolfsburg’s Renato Steffen has tested positive for COVID-19, the club announced early on Friday evening. The Swiss, who is asymptomatic, has gone into quarantine at home and will miss Sunday’s game against Augsburg as well as the international fixtures next week.
German sides handed Europa groups
After Wolfsburg fell in the qualifiers, Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen were handed their Europa League draws on Friday.
In a tougher draw than they would have hoped for, Leverkusen, seeded in pot 1, will play Czech outfit Slavia Prague, Hapoel beer Sheva, of Israel, and French outfit Nice.
Hoffenheim, seeded third, perhaps got away a little lighter. They will play Gent (Belgium), Crvena Zvezda (Serbia) and Slovan Liberec (Czech Republic). The full fixtures will be announced later on Friday.
Löw names squad for triple header
After their Champions League exertions caused them to miss Germany’s previous matches, Bayern Munich quartet Joshua Kimmich, Manuel Neuer, Leon Goretzka and Serge Gnabry return to the fold.
But they, along with RB Leipzig pair Marcel Halstenberg and Lukas Klostermann, will only be available for the Nations League games with Ukraine (October 10) and Switzerland (October 13) and not the friendly with Turkey next Wednesday.
Three games in such a short space of time given the current packed schedule has led Löw to name 29 players in his squad. Fringe players like Nadiem Amiri, Robin Koch, Luca Waldschmidt, Florian Neuhaus and Niklas Stark will hope for opportunities while there are maiden callups for Borussia Dortmund’s Mahmoud Dahoud and Jonas Hofman, of Borussia Mönchengladbach.

US soccer team forfeits match over alleged homophobia
San Diego Loyal players walked off the pitch in a second division game against Phoenix Rising after a homophobic comment was allegedly aimed at midfielder Collin Martin, who is openly gay.
San Diego, who are managed and owned by former US international Landon Donovan, had already forfeited a match against LA Galaxy’s reserves the previous week after midfielder Elijah Martin was the victim of alleged racist abuse.
“We went through a really hard incident last week in the LA match,” said Donovan, who also made a handful of Bundesliga appearances for Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich. “We made a vow to ourselves, to our community, to our players, to the club, to USL, that we would not stand for bigotry, homophobic slurs, things that don’t belong in our game.”
Despite leading 3-1 at half-time, San Diego thus forfeited a chance of reaching the playoffs. Opponents Phoenix Rising said the alleged perpetrator “vehemently denied” the allegations.
Bundesliga clubs criticize international matches
Ahead of next week’s international break, several Bundesliga club bosses have issued scathing criticism of FIFA and the German Football League (DFL) over the issue of sending their players on international duty in regions considered coronavirus risk areas, resulting in quarantine upon their return.
In September, for instance, Hertha Berlin striker Krzysztof Piatek had to quarantine for five days after playing for Poland in Bosnia, and missed Hertha’s German Cup defeat to Eintracht Braunschweig. At the time, FIFA had relaxed regulations obliging clubs to release players for internationals in regions considered COVID-19 hot-spots, but no such steps have been taken this time.
“We learned in September that we, the clubs, are left high and dry,” said Hertha boss Michael Preetz. “We release our players, we pay our players and, in the case of Krzysztof, we were left footing the bill. Ultimately, nobody was prepared to fight our corner. We realized that we can’t count on any help from the DFL or FIFA.”
“For me, it’s absurd to send players to risk areas,” added Augsburg’s Stefan Reuter. “It is FIFA’s responsibility either to postpone these matches or guarantee that players don’t need to quarantine when they return.”
Germany face Ukraine in the Nations League in Kiev on October 10, but local authorities in Germany have already stated that players will be exempt from quarantine regulations given the security and isolation measures in place in the Ukrainian capital.

French Open sensation Podoroska 'dreams of being number one' | Tennis News
PARIS: Nadia Podoroska said she still dreams of reaching the very top of the women’s game after the Argentine became the first qualifier in the Open era to reach the women’s semi-finals at Roland Garros on Tuesday. World number 131 Podoroska had never won a Grand Slam match before the tournament but stunned third seed Elina Svitolina 6-2, 6-4 to continue her incredible French Open run.
The 23-year-old will play Polish teenager Iga Swiatek or Italy’s Martina Trevisan as she attempts to become the first qualifier in history to make the final at a major.
“My dream is to be number one. That will never change,” said Podoroska, whose only other Grand Slam appearance came at the 2016 US Open. She is just the third female qualifier to make the last four of a major, after Alexandra Stevenson at Wimbledon in 1999 and Christine Dorey at the 1978 Australian Open. “I don’t want to wake up,” added Podoroska, the first Argentine woman to reach a major semi-final since Paola Suarez in Paris in 2004. “For me it’s very special because in all South America we don’t have too many tournaments. It’s very complicated for all the South American girls playing tennis. “I think it’s good that I’m having these results. Maybe it’s going to help all the young girls.” It was the first time Podoroska had even faced a player inside the top 20, having started the year ranked a lowly 255. “The plan was to take the initiative, not let her dominate the points and try to play as close to the line,” said Podoroska after limiting Svitolina to just eight winners. She has now won 43 matches across all tours in 2020 despite the truncated season and will break into the top 50 after the tournament. Podoroska is guaranteed 425,250 euros ($501,740) following her breakout performance here, easily doubling her total career earnings of $301,547. It is a reward for her perseverence following a wrist injury a few years ago that forced her off the tour and caused her ranking to plummet. She admitted financial hardship had recently left her considering her future in the sport. “The toughest part for me was like two or three years ago. I had too many injuries. I’m dropping my ranking. I was like eight months out of the tour,” recalled Podoroska. “Then I didn’t have money to start playing tournaments. It was a very tough moment for me because I also change all my team. “I’ve been working with my old coach for 10 years, then we broke our relationship. I was a little bit, like, I didn’t know what to do.” Podoroska has since teamed up with Juan Pablo Guzman, who said “she didn’t stop a day working” during the coronavirus lockdown. “She was working unbelievable, every day doing fitness, trying to do everything,” said Guzman, a former ATP professional from Argentina. Guzman also credited her work with a mental coach for getting her into the right frame of mind against better opponents. “She’s been working, trying to breathe, trying to visualise, trying to be more calm in those situations,” he explained. “This year she was playing really good, but there was some occasions when she was playing higher-ranking players, she was feeling the pressure and trying to do more things than she had to do. “In this tournament, she did everything the same in every match. It was, like, a big change for her because she saw she can play like this and keep winning.” Podoroska has defied the odds and is two wins away from emulating Gabriela Sabatini, the 1990 US Open winner and Argentina’s only women’s Grand Slam singles champion. “I’m happy that I got to the semi-finals. I will be ready for that match obviously.”

Spain's Aliona Bolsova, who reached the fourth round of Roland Garros earlier this year as a qualifier, says she needs to become more aggressive in her game next year and wants to become a better athlete and person in 2020, in an interview to Marca.
The 22-year-old Bolsova says, "I have to be a little more aggressive because now all the players are playing very flat, very fast, two or three shots, and in the end, if you don't take the initiative, they win it. I am a player who likes to build the point and give the game a little more pause, a bit like Carla Suárez, and I have to learn to take more initiative in the points."
After peaking at No. 88 in the rankings, Bolsova ended the year ranked No. 115 and though she says that she does not want to focus on the rankings too much, she wants to be in the Top 100 as that would help her get into the main draw of the WTA events. "Obviously one of the objectives is to be in the top one hundred. But, beyond that, I want to be better every day, as an athlete and as a person. The rest will come alone."
Bolsova is one of the new talents from Spain along with Sara Sorribes Tormo and Paula Badosa, who are trying to emulate the likes of Garbine Muguruza and Carla Suarez. "They are all great players, of course, and behind me, there are also many young people who come with a lot of strength. There is a lot of talent. In fact, I think Spanish tennis is great right now.  You really have to have a lot of perseverance throughout the year and not get confused, because they all work very hard, they are all there every week and they can all win you one day, so you can't be more relaxed one game than another. Each tournament is being won by a different player and new people are always coming in. That's why staying up is so complicated."
Bolsova agrees that tennis is a very demanding sport and she has been working with a psychologist for some time. "Tennis is a very hard sport on a mental level because it is very lonely. In the end, you are alone on the track, you travel all year round, you are very little at home, you have very little rest and that rhythm you must know how to take it. You have to learn to mature with all experiences and not let situations overcome you."
