This gown was first seen in the 2013 film Belle, where it was worn by Sarah Gadon as Elizabeth Murray. It was seen again in the 2015 first season of Poldark being worn by Ruby Bentall as Verity Poldark.
But along side that war, another war is waged. A battleground in shades of gray, played out in deception, seduction, and bad faith. The participants are strange. They are seldom what they seem, and fiction and reality blur. This war is a wilderness of mirrors in which the truth is protected by a bodyguard of lies. This is our war.
I have tentatively titled the first part of this Tedromeda/Remadora AU! The working title is 'Andromeda Rises and Falls' as the first half is heavily Tedromeda focused, and told more in Andromeda's POV than Dora's. This is the moodboard/fancast/faceclaims for part 1.
From top left to bottom right:
Top left: Millie Tonks nee Webster (OC - Muggle, actor Eloise Smyth)
Top middle: Claudius Travers (OC - pureblood wizard, actor Hero Fiennes-Tiffin)
Bottom right: Byron Travers (OC - pureblood wizard, actor Kevan McNally. The pic is from Downton Abbey when he played Horace Bryant, and I can't picture Byron any other way in my head.)
When I've got more written for the second half of the work I'll make an updated board for those faceclaims/actors.
A fantastic long interview with Jonathan and Ben Aldridge at Rotten Tomatoes from 17.40 to 28.33. They discuss the many things they found they had in common, the first conversation they ever had together, their favourite horror sub-genre movies, and the two-costars they would take with them in an apocalypse (for Jonathan it was Lea Michele and Ben; for Ben it was Jonathan and Ruby Bentall).
Some quotes:
Interviewer: I'll preface this first question by saying your chemistry on-screen is great. I read a whole lot in the press notes about how you two just wanted to hang out and keep talking together, off-set too. I have a quote from M Night here, he says: "At some point I was like, there's nothing else you could say to each other. You've said everything. Stop talking to each other. [Jonathan and Ben laugh (first still below).]
The interviewer then asks about what surprised them that they had in common.
Ben: We had so many in common things that it was kind of spooky, discovering lots of parallels. Your specific one...
Jonathan: Mine was that our grandparents were both ministers. Which is a weird one, oddly specific one.
Ben: That we both kind of grew up on farms... There were many parallels. Not just religion and farming, other things too...
Deborah Ann Woll as Falena Stokeworth // Marley Shelton as Jeyne Lothston // Ruby Bentall as Bethany Rosby // Aisling Franciosi as Roslin Frey // Charlize Theron as Rhaella Targaryen // Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen // Lindsay Duncan as Alannys Harlaw // Lily Allen as Asha Greyjoy // Stephanie Levi-John as Chataya // Vanessa Morgan as Alayaya
A quintessential character actor, Ruby Bentall has a recognizable and very youthful looking face. That may lead her to be typecast as younger girls, maids, and secondary characters, but she does these jobs with flair and adds drama and humor as appropriate. Her social media profile says: “I mostly wear bonnets for a living,” but... Read more →
