Okay tumblr ate my post for this so heres the rehash, it was an ask from @spiritumantophila regarding info abt Rue! Here we go again

Pardon if its a bit lengthy, lots of thoughts on the worst guy ever to share.

For context: Rue is apart of an Au where i put all my characters in an old mythological based world, some characters were given the role of a God with their domain being related to their given character traits and themes.

Ruenihura The god of Rot/decay/corruption and Hunting, the black sheep among his peers, and the antagonist to life itself. He would love to watch the world crumble all for his own personal gain. Though most Gods would not have minded what he is if he hadn't made one of his first legends something unspeakable:

He was said to have killed the God of Purity upon creation. The death of a God is something that was believed to be nigh impossible till that moment. No one knows what happened exactly, all those years ago, only that Ruenihura Scrios is to blame.

This puts him at odds with the rest of the world, the fear of what he's capable of only feeding into his strength, which only makes the resentment towards him grow even more. A never ending cycle really.

But this doesnt mean Rue is always alone, he has followers still, people who tolerate his existence even, some who might even like his cruel company.

One of those few folks being a Minor diety, Tiassale, entity of regret and reflection :-)! His closest thing to a .... "friend" .... as some might put it.

Ruenihura "likes" this one's presence as she "lacks the hubris of mortals and the arrogance of the Gods." She has a very calm quiet disposition, Quiet is something Rue cannot get enough of. He will visit her lake and they'll sit in silence from time to time. And Bicker too.

I've also shown Rue's design when he was a young God, freshly realized and terribly lost.

He went by the name "Nightshade" since he rejected the name and title that was put down before him. He cared about the world, you could even say he was kind then. But when the world has decided what you are before you could even say, attempting to fight your "fate" bears no fruit. Ruenihura is the God of Rot, decay, corruption, hunting. He is a god killer. He's a monster. Nightshade had no place if he didn't play his part. So Ruenihura did.
