Mint juleps are a bit of a faff to make (esp if you’re making them for three) but god they taste so good

i think the fun thing about mead is that if it's made really nicely, you're not going to be aware how strong it is. like it's going to be sweet, it's going to be delicious, it's going to go down smooth as anything. and you're going to drink a whole bottle because hey, it's delicious! how strong can it be!
and that is the mistake because it will be strong. 90% of the meads i've had were made by people in their back garden or cupboard under the stairs. they want it strong and sweet and it WILL fuck you up. but it's going to taste so good that you won't even care.

Favorite cocktail??!?
Oooh, this is hard!
I really love a Monte Cassino, which is equal parts rye whiskey, Yellow Chartreuse, Benedictine, and lemon.
I also really love a Lion's Tail, which is bourbon, allspice dram, lime, and Angostura bitters.
And since I've been into rum lately, It Gets Funkier, which is white rum, a navy strength pineapple rum, pineapple syrup, lime, and cardamom bitters.
