Of course this is dependent on the location especially since every Panera has slightly different menus but here’s a list of our location’s worst sellers/items I think are too expensive:
Soups:
Chicken Tikka Masala (seasonal, leaving anyway)
Salads:
Citrus Asian Crunch
Southwest Chicken Caesar (Seasonal)
BBQ Chicken
Sandwiches:
Sierra Turkey (Off menu, currently still on offer)
Mediterranean Veggie
Other Entrees:
Baja Bowl (Both)
Broccoli Mac & Cheese
All Flatbread Pizzas (Sell fairly well but hold up the line)
Pastries/Bagels/Breads
Sesame Bagels
Sprouted Grain Flats (I’ve never sold one past 2pm)
Pastry Rings
Mini Scone Packs
Candy Cookies
Brioche Rolls
Classic Sourdough (Different from the Country Rustic Sourdough, we’re keeping that one)
White Whole Grain
I’m a closer so idk about breakfast, but still. Some of these are on that list of things leaving but some of the bestsellers are on that list too. I understand getting rid of some of the items that sell better, the other bowls for example have a lot of ingredients and are therefore kind of pricy to make. Fruit isn’t cheap so I somewhat understand axing the seasonal fruit cups.
But why on earth are we getting rid of cinnamon rolls?

West Haven's New Hot Spot in Town
If you ever catch yourself in West Haven, Ct wanting to enjoy a nice meal and have a drink head down to Moby Dick’s. No, not the book, the oyster bar & grill over at 588 Campbell Ave. It is a newer bar on the Campbell Ave strip opening on August 18, 2022. Even in the short time been open, they have been successful enough to win the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce’s “New Business of the Year” Award.
Walking up to the entrance you will see the simple yet sharp black lettering spelling out Moby Dick’s and directly underneath in front of the two glass windows there are two tables for outside dining or just hanging out with the front door to the right.
Once you enter the door you see their fun, artistic chalkboard menu listing all of their oysters including where they are from. Places range from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine,  and even Japan. They also have their draft beers along with any specials they may be serving at the time whether it be a cocktail or one of the chef's creations.
By the time you sit down, either at a high chair at the copper bar with a thick wood lining that has been carved into by customers from times before and during Moby Dick’s, or a stool at one of the tables, you realize you are no longer on Campbell Ave but a ship. With portholes showing old paintings of massive ships sailing the seas, strong wooden beams going across the ceiling, and rustic rope trimming the walls you feel like you are in a bottom of a ship with your crewmates having a drink and a meal.
Now the question is what do you have for that drink or meal, I am going to tell you all about Moby Dick’s menu starting with the iconic cast iron mac and cheese. With this dish, you can have three different ways to approach it. You can just get the mac and cheese or you can add bacon or lobster. I got the lobster and let me tell you I was not disappointed at all. They certainly do not skimp on the lobster. The mac and cheese was so creamy and crisp from the breadcrumbs.
Although this meal is delicious it is very heavy and can be somewhat of a struggle to finish so keep that in mind if you are just there for some drinks with friends. I would say this dish is more of a dinner-time decision instead.
Staying with lobster, the lobster sliders are to die for. You will be served a plate with three toasted brioche buns loaded with buttered up lobster pieces with a condiment cup filled with even more butter and oil for you to pour in at your discretion.
Not into lobster sliders? You have to try the fan-favorite meatball sliders. Still being served three brioche buns but instead of lobster, you have fat homemade meatballs with melted parmesan cheese on top of them. The sauce soaking into the bun is phenomenal and the meatball itself practically melts in your mouth. When I am on the clock working at Moby’s this is my go-to because it is quick and extremely tasteful.
Moby Dick’s also has a variety of flatbreads you can choose from. Some are slab bacon, white clam, and shrimp scampi. Personally, I have never tried the slab bacon however I have heard many customers that they love it. The white clam flatbread was a special when I was home sometime during the school year so I was intrigued because I can get down with some white clam pizza. I thought it was great. The clams were browned but were still juicy and tasty when you bit into them. The bread caught my eye because of the crisped lines going across the pie. My favorite flatbread is the shrimp scampi flatbread. The shrimp is so flavorful in every bite and it is topped with tomato chunks and basil and fresh lemon.
Now for the standpoint of Moby Dick’s. The raw bar. Getting daily deliveries of seafood you know it is fresh and you certainly can tell. They do shrimp cocktails with big and little neck shrimp. You’ll be given a nice display in a silver tray filled with tiny ice cubes, a cup of cocktail sauce with a dash of horse radish, and a piece of lemon with a cute tiny fork. And that is with all orders coming out of the raw bar.
I heard customers raving about all kinds of oysters. Blue Points, which they get from Connecticut, are the biggest oysters they carry and so they are super meaty. They have Wellfleets from Massachusetts and those are also on the bigger meatier side. One of the smallest oysters they offer is called the Kumamoto oyster and it is from Japan. I find that it is almost sweet to a point. If you want to get crazy you can do an oyster shot. It is in a Moby Dick’s shot glass with your choice of oyster and then Bloody Mary on top.
This brings you to what a bar is truly all about, the alcohol. Of course, they have everyday items like Bud Lights, Budweiser, and simple mixed drinks like vodka sodas or rum and coke. The special drinks are what makes them stand apart. They have many drafts some being Whalers Rise APA, Sea Hag IPA, and the Baby Fuzzy Duck. I love the name of that last one and the others fit the theme perfectly. They also have Captain Campbell Collins as their John Collins which I thought was creative.
One time I went there with my mom to get lunch and she ordered a peanut butter martini. When it came to the table I was in shock. It looked beautiful and like a dessert. It was peanut butter whiskey, Baileys, chocolate vodka, and creme, with crushed Reese's peanut butter cup rim. They used to have but I am not sure if they still do a pistachio martini. The drink was so bright green that it lit up the room. Not literally but you get the point.
Around the holidays they put out specialty drinks for a limited time. For the wintertime, it was a winter bourbon punch that consisted of bourbon, fresh orange, cranberry, and simple. During February for Valentine's Day, you could have been drinking “Love Martinis” and for St. Patty’s Day it would have been the “Drunk Leprauchan.”
Overall Moby Dick’s is a great place to experience. It is a very unique small knit community bar and has very good vibes around it. The food is amazing, and the drinks are right along with the food. If you ever get the chance to go you shouldn't miss it.

The Best Restaurants in Nassau
Nassau is known for the Fish Fry strip on Arawak Cay. Serving dishes like conch fritters and rice and peas in eyes-too-big-for-belly portions, this row of rustic wooden restaurants is a local institution. It's not the only or the end-all of Nassau's dining options, however. The Bahamian capital is also home to some top-notch fusion, steak, and Mediterranean-inspired eateries. Here are a few of the most well-known options.
Explore the incredible attractions of Nassau and make your trip worthwhile. Also, book flights with the Lowest Flight Fares to avail of impressive deals. There are several places to discover here and learn more about this place. So take flights from New York to Nassau, and make sure to spend ample time strolling the place.
Tumblr media
Cafe Matisse
Just a few blocks away from Parliament Square, this eatery specializes in Italian food. But there's more to this restaurant than pizza and pasta. Some of the highlights on the menu are carnosaurs (a Sardinian flatbread) starter and the Ossobuco (slow-cooked shanks of veal slow-cooked) served with a saffron-infused main dish of risotto. To experience the restaurant in its absolute best, reserve an appointment in the lush floral courtyard.
Curly's Bar and Restaurant
With wood-paneled walls as well as seats in leather, the restaurant is among the most sought-after restaurants on the Fish Fry strip in Nassau. The conch fritters in the shape of golf balls as well as the vibrant conch salad get rave reviews in this restaurant, but whatever you choose to eat, expect to see your food packed to the max. If you can, make some space to eat the dessert of guava duff. It's a steamy, guava-flavored pudding served in the rum.
Bahamian Cookin' Bar and Restaurant
The restaurant was founded with the help of Grammy in 1986 in 1986, this Downtown eatery is currently run by three generations of Bahamian women. The recipes for sauces and seasonings have been refined over the years and they show. The most well-known dishes are the soft finger grouper and the buttery baked plantains, and mac and cheese with golden tops. Are you looking for something to wash the meal down? Choose the classic Bahama Mama cocktail or a zesty lemonade switch.
Cleo Mediterraneo
Wood, wicker, and whitewashed, this upscale restaurant is situated in its own SLS Baha Mar hotel. It offers a wide range of food options on the menu. Greek spanakopita (spinach pie), Lebanese kibbeh (beef and bulgur wheat croquettes), as well as Israeli Couscous, are only one of the choices. The restaurant offers a great range of cocktails, too. Try the Cleo Colada made with coconut vodka, pineapple juice, and lime juice fresh. It's the restaurant's signature drink.
You can easily book your cheap flights to Key West with the Lowest Flight fares and enjoy a trip.
La Caverna
The food served at La Caverna, near Love Beach is clearly Italian. Lasagne, carbonara pizza, pizza, and homemade tiramisu are on the menu. A hint of the Bahamas is in the cocktails menu but. Alongside negronis and espresso martinis, you can also enjoy the classic Bahamian Sky juice - composed of coconut condensed milk, water, and gin. There's also The Bahama Mama, made with three different types of rum as well as fruit punch.
Athena Cafe & Bar
This is the best Greek eatery in Nassau There are more than a dozen white and blue flags flying across the roof. The menu is filled with traditional dishes, including stuffed grape leaves, Tzatziki souvlaki, and gyros. for something more Bahamian, go for the conch dish. The most comfortable seats are on the shaded terrace that runs all around the dining area. It's an ideal spot to watch people eat while you dine.
Carna
The seafood and the steaks are star dishes at this restaurant in Goodman's Bay. There are over 10 varieties of steak available and three kinds of wagyu as well as a tomahawk as big as a tennis racket. The most impressive thing on the front of the fish, however, is the tower that's fit for a king that is comprised of two levels of lobster tails, oysters as well as king crab and prawns. The restaurant also boasts an impressive wine menu which includes around 200 different bottles.
Oh Andros
There's always a high-priced dish of food whenever you go to Oh Andros on the Fish Fry strip in Nassau. The menus served at this wood-walled eatery are usually Caribbean like conch fritters rice and peas, mac and cheese as well as fried plantains. If you're hungry, go for the seafood platter. It includes four Swais (white seafood) fillets 8 lobster tails, shrimp rice, plantains, and pikliz, which is a slaw that's spicy.

#Breadeli #BreadeliRusticFlatSoftNCrunchyGarlicButterFlatBread #FlavoredFlatBread #FlatBread #FlavoredFlatBreadReview
I tried the Breadeli Rustic Flat Soft 'N' Crunchy Garlic Butter Flat Bread and it was really good. I had this on a four cheese alfredo sauce, turkey pepperoni, jarred mushrooms, with jarred garlic flat bread pizza and it was really tasty. It tasted like butter garlic bread sticks you would get at a restaurant also this bread with crunchy but soft. It held up well when convection oved as a pizza then microwaved. I took both pictures of the garlic naan and this bread as flat bread pizzas.
I would eat this again.
Got from the Kroger Clearance.

This chickpea flatbread (known as “socca”) is a little culinary treasure hailing from the sun-kissed Ligurian Coast, stretching from Italy to France. Naturally vegan and gluten-free, this delectable and rustic chick pea flatbread has seen a big revival in these past few years. But its recipe is truly as ancient as can be – and very, very easy.
In Italy, from Ventimiglia to La Spezia, it is known as the “farinata”. In the Piemonte Region, people call it the “belecàuda” (meaning literally, beautiful and hot). And in the South of France, from Toulon to Hyeres, it has the name of “la cade” (from the Italian “caldo”, meaning hot.)
This recipe’s version of the “socca” originates from Nice, France. It is a staple of the Provencal Cuisine, and can be found in most French cook books. And I like to think this is the simplest and most universal one.
At the start of the 20th century, the socca was sold in Nice by streets vendors bearing fire-breathing drums on wheels. It was served in big paper cones to early-morning factory workers and hungry fishermen leaving at sea. Then, a humble blue-collar meal, the socca has now become a touristic – and fairly pricy – culinary must-try from Nice. In the 70s, a slice of socca sold for 50 cents (0.07€), in the 90s it was sold 10 francs (1,5€); and today you can expect to pay at least 3€ for your slice.
This thin, unleavened chickpea flatbread is made with just a handful of ingredients: chickpea flour, water, olive oil, salt and pepper. Some Italian recipes will add dried herbs such as rosemary or sometimes few pinches of spices. In more recent recipes, it is sometimes baked in a pizza oven, sometimes in a cast-iron pan and sometimes on a baking sheet.
For this recipe, I bake my socca in a cast iron skillet, and bake it in a regular oven and it works perfectly. At the end of the baking process, I turn on the broiler for about 1 to 2 minutes to get that crispy top and signature smoky flavor.
The socca is meant to be enjoyed right out of the oven, piping hot, so it can best deliver its signature culinary assets: a super crispy top and a soft bottom. The chick pea flour gives a soft – almost creamy- texture to the inside of the crepe, and a delightful nutty taste.
With a sprinkle of salt, dried rosemary and a crack of pepper, it makes a delectable healthy snack or shareable appetizer.
Daily inspiration. Discover more photos at http://justforbooks.tumblr.com

Grilled Cheese Pizza Sandwich Recipe
Layer the olives, green peppers, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese on the bottom slice of bread. Place the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni onto the other slice of bread. Place the slices of bread on top of each other to create a sandwich, butter side up. Scatter the cooked sausage and pepperoni on the bottom bread piece. Dollop with the marinara, then top evenly with the mozzarella. Cover with the top bread piece, then brush the roll tops with the reserved garlic butter and sprinkle with the parmesan.
What are Papa John's papadias?
The Papadia is crafted from Papa John's fresh, never-frozen original dough and filled with delicious, fresh ingredients. It is served with a pepperoncini and a sauce of choice on the side. “The Papadia is inspired by the 'piadina,' an Italian folded flatbread sandwich from Northern Italy .
Grilled cheese and pizza hitch up in this easy (and yummy!) dinner idea. Start with a good loaf of rustic style bread. Get something with a little more oomph that will hold up to the fillings and grilling. Brush butter on the side that is up, then turn it over to repeat the process of toasting the bread.
Did You Make This Recipe? Let Me Know! Cancel Reply
Plus, this pizza sauce is loaded with herbs, so I don’t even need to think about adding extra herbs in the sandwich. Spread sauce onto the slices, and it’s time to think about the other fillings. If you love a pepperoni pizza and a grilled cheese sandwich, you will love these.
Are pizzas a sandwich?
Much depends on your definition of “sandwich”. If your definition is “a filling between two pieces of bread”, then a pizza is by definition not a sandwich, because the crust is only on one side. However, if you fold your pizza before eating it, then there is bread on both sides of the filling.
Place a 2nd slice of buttered bread on top, with the butter facing upwards. Cook for a few minutes , until the bread is toasted. Carefully flip it over the sandwich so the remaining buttered side is now on the pan. Continue cooking for another few minutes until that side is also toasted and cheese is melted. Today, I kicked it up a notch and came up with this amazing play on a pepperoni pizza, I call it, Air Fryer Grilled Cheese Pizza Sandwiches. In 5 to 6-quart Dutch oven, cook ground beef, onions and bell peppers over medium-high heat until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Stir in pepperoni, olives, pizza sauce and tomatoes. Reduce heat to medium; simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then layer on some pepperoni slices on one of the halves. I use turkey pepperoni; it actually tastes great and is pretty low calorie.

It just brings back memories of our childhood. We remember our moms making grilled cheese sandwiches and serving them with a bowl of tomato soup on busy school nights. We loved it; it was pure comfort food. On four slices of bread, layer one slice of mozzarella, two slices of tomato, 1 teaspoon Parmesan cheese, a dash of garlic salt and six slices pepperoni. Top with remaining mozzarella and bread. Spread outside of sandwiches with butter.
The name is a mashup of the words "pizza" and "tramezzino," a style of sandwich in Italy that's made with crustless white bread and is cut into triangles .
Preheat waffle iron about the the medium-high setting.
Set all aside separately.
I'm passionate about creating from scratch family-friendly recipes ranging from healthy to decadent. I used two slices of thick, soft Sara Lee®Artesano™Bread – it’s the ORIGINAL artisan-style sliced bread. It happens to be free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors and colors which is always a bonus in this mom’s book. Sprinkle one layer of cheese, then add a layer of pepperoni, then another layer of cheese on one slice. Boy the title of this one had me clicking to read more. What a delicious idea for a grilled cheese. Layer cheese, a few pepperoni halves and a couple tablespoons of marinara. Kiera Wright-Ruiz is a food writer and recipe developer based in Honolulu. I’m having Morrisons pizza. Spent the day with my 87 year old mum who kindly gave me a pre packed supermarket sandwich for lunch so you’re not missing much here 😂

Grilled cheeseand melts are very similar. The biggest difference is a melt tends to have other ingredients besides bread, mayo, and cheese. Melts tend to have items like tuna, other meats, etc. Most sandwich makers have a light to indicate when it’s done. These pizza sandwiches couldn’t be any easier to make! Just butter one side of each bread and place half of the bread slices in a greased frying pan in one layer. On each bread, add mozzarella cheese slices, then top with pepperoni, and spread the marinara sauce. In a medium skillet set over medium-low heat, add the butter and melt. Place two pieces of toast side by side. Because of all the gooey and delicious ingredients you want to cook this low and slow. That way the bread doesn’t burn before the cheese gets melty in the middle. I recently did the same with a tortilla- viola! My kids ask for it about every other day now.

I’m pretty generous with the sauce because it starts to soak into the bread. I also like my pizza practically oozing with sauce, so just put on as much as you like. Get our best recipes, grocery finds, and clever kitchen tips delivered to your inbox. Next we sprinkle a teaspoon of Parmesan and then a dash of garlic salt. People sometimes give us stuff, and we write about it. After they're toasted, place on a plate and spread the pizza sauce over one side of both slices. Yeah, it’s really easy to clean. We have grilled sandwiches a LOT at my house, so I mostly use it for that, but I’ve used it for steak and chicken before too, and flat breads. I know what you mean about comfort food, Grilled cheese and tomato soup have always been one of those special meals for me since grade school. This sandwich almost blends them both together. The 2 different cheeses is what makes this sandwich pop, especially if theres no meat in it. When skillet it heated, place the buttered side of one slice of bread down in the pan. Working quickly, place a layer of cheese, then ham, pineapple and another layer of cheese (using 1/4 of these ingredients).
