In Codename: Cupid, each of the love interest are assigned a codename that matches their personality (according to Ichiya in Riku’s Main Story). However, in the Japanese version, the codenames are based off of the kanji characters of their last names (or first, in Maki’s case). 

Riku Shishizaki (獅崎理久) - Lion  Motoharu Kotani (虎谷基晴) - Tiger  Ichiya Kanokawa (鹿川壱也) - Fawn  Yojiro Maki (牧洋次郎) - Sheep 

Ryohei Okami (大上良平) is the only one without an animal in his name. However, because of the pronunciation of his last name, his codename (Wolf) is a play on words for the Japanese word for the animal (狼 - ookami).

i just read ryohei’s route from codename: cupid and i enjoyed it a lot! i really liked how ryohei grew more open as the story progressed, and he turned out to be super cute lol. i loved both the happy ending and the super happy ending, they were so good i actually can’t decide which was better. i also really enjoy the dynamic between all the guys, their interactions make me laugh lol. i was excited for his route and it didn’t disappoint!

and i love the mc! she has a witty inner monologue and she’s fun to follow. i also like her dynamic with all the guys as well

overall, i really enjoy codename: cupid! all the guys so far are really likable (can’t speak for motoharu bc i haven’t read his route yet bc of the reviews lol) and i’m probably gonna continue to buy the routes that come out!

welp I sure took my time getting this game done.

a friend of my sis lent it to me bc I asked if she got any otoge without much dark in them. and this one sure delivers.

Story is basically about Yunoha, the only child of an okami (kinda like owner of a ryokan, traditionally female), who was called to return home after she ran away when her mom forced the role on her. she instead wanted to pursue fashion designing. so the mom called her said she was sick and asked to take over the okami duty for a few months. she was failing with her own pursuit of her dream anyway so she reluctantly came back to the countryside. the bachelors are mostly the staff of the ryokan with one dude from the rival big and successful hotel and... IDK I didn’t bother to unlock the last character but I think he’s one of the guest? the whole drama about the story is the small ryokan trying to get by.

I didn’t go through all them dudes, just Kintaro and Takahira (because KENN and Kimura Ryohei lol). added that I think I’ve borrowed this game for far too long of a time already, I don’t think I have the time to clear all of them.

just based on the two routes I’ve cleared, this a good fluffy game with a pinch of emotional drama and one yandere-ish scene from Takahira. I was so fucking not ready for it at all I was so scared for Yunoha. thankfully Takahira knew he was being an asshole and apologized right after.... well actually Yunoha forgave him way too fast; I don’t, even though I understand his circumstances.

it’s too bad Yunoha wasn’t voiced. i think it’d be much better if she did. the whole trivial arguments with Kintaro were so much fun btw.

Conclusion; it’s a good game. I might buy my own copy if I can find it as secondhand.
