i hate that it just being overcast on a hot day makes me nervous but i guess that comes with living through half the country being on fire

#wind freaks me out too #but it being hot and windy with dry lightning? hate it #i have enough reasons to hate summer and this perpetual worry isnt helping #we havent had any real fires around here since 2020 #there was one small scare but just enough to keep an eye on not really do anything about #we sidnt even have to evacuate in 2020 it was just the knowledge that everything was fucked and could only get worse #we evacuated once in like 2016 and it was horrific #fires used to scare me so bad as a kid #like even just hearing the siren made me panic #then it just sort of went away #apparently its back #coming out of my cage and ive been doing just fine.txt #straya

‘don’t feel bad if you can’t stream’ you should not be ‘streaming’ at all outside of listening/watching for you own pleasure are you crazy!!! you are not ‘supporting the artists’ you are playing into a capitalist agenda!!! do you know how much money an artist makes off a song on spotify? the going rate is something like $0.0035 per song a song has to be streamed more than ONE THOUSAND TIMES for an artist to make THREE DOLLARS. and how much of that money do you think they ever see after spotify AND the label AND the other million people involved in the song take their cut?? not much i’ll tell you that!! artists do not make money off streaming they make it off tours and gigs and merch and brand sponsorships. but obviously that’s not what this is about or no one would give a damn about mass streaming bc when you stream like that it’s all just to make you, the listener, the fan, feel good about yourself because you have a number whereby you can measure how much ‘better’ your band is than someone else’s band. that’s not what arts about! that’s not what musics about! what a disservice to the art and artist you claim to love!
