“I think there are plenty of better ways to deal with issues than that, Buggy.” Crocodile shook his head and pinched the bridge of his nose, thanking Mihawk for his cup of coffee.

“Yes, but that one is the easiest!” Buggy slammed his hands on the table and thanked Mihawk for the coffee as well.

Crocodile went to protest, but Mihawk stepped in, sitting down at the table. “Crocodile, I'm with Buggy. I think using-”

“Dadda!!! Daddaaaaaaa!!!!!” Crocodile’s toddler burst into the room, interrupting a very important meeting, holding up a tea cup and his favorite stuffed rabbit doll.

Crocodile pinched the bridge of his nose and quickly looked up with a smile. “What’s up, buddy?”

“Dadda! I wanna have a tea party!”

“A tea party? Buddy, weren't you hangin’ out with mamma? You can ask her to-”

Crocodile’s toddler grabbed Crocodile’s big hand, trying to pull him away from the table. “Buddy, we’re really busy, can't you just ask mamma to-”

“I wanna play with dadda though.” He looked up at his father with the cutest eyes that he couldn't just deny.

But he shook it off and looked at his toddler sternly. “Why aren't you in mamma’s office right now?”

“Mamma told me that I could come play with you!” He just smiled at Crocodile.

Of course she said that.

“Buddy, you can't just-”

“Is dat Buggy??? Hi!!!” His attention went quickly toward the clown sitting at the table. He ran up and grabbed his hand, pulling it straight off of his body which ended up putting them both in a huge fit of laughter.

There was no way Crocodile was going to get out of this now. Especially considering Mihawk was setting up the table for a tea party for everyone, handing Crocodile’s child a cup of chocolate milk they had in the fridge.

“Why don't you join us, Crocodile?” Mihawk took a dramatic sip from his coffee. “We don't have all day, you know? Us former warlords have a lot of planning to do.”

Crocodile’s son immediately began looking as professionally as he could as he was now a member of their very important meeting.

Now there was absolutely no way Crocodile was getting out of this.

i just finished Among the Beasts and Briars by Ashley Poston and holy cow

this book was so good

it was romantic, action packed, and fast paced. i literally loved it with all my heart and soul. also the aesthetic was SO GORGEOUS. a woodlike aesthetic with a romantic castle feel and omg i cant get over it
