He’s so cuuute TAT i am currently transfixed with the one of him shedding tears. First off, on an animation level, it’s weird that they didn’t draw him any teeth but it somehow adds to how cute and pitiful he looks. It almost makes the sadness look more visceral, and hell for all we know it could’ve just been an error 😆 but aside from that, god, seeing Wander cry even just a few tears is so rare. Someone told me the reason Wander hardly cried in the show was because Jack McBrayer isn’t confident/comfortable with acting out crying. Is that true?
Either way, i think it makes Wander more interesting. Baby boy really fights to hold in his tears no matter what 🥺💔

hi, rq i love your tervo yuri, i get super excited whenever i see you've uploaded :D also i might be crazy but i think you made a post a while ago talking about genderswap voice claims and asked for ideas? i've been thinking about it for a bit and i have a tentative cast: i couldn't decide on a pre-s4 korvo so i'm just going to stick with emma thompson for her (think captain amelia except cringefail), kristen wiig or kate mckinnon for terry (kristen has the unabashed goofiness even if she's a bit too old for the millennial jokes, but kate was great in venture bros), kate micucci for yumyulack (i mean come on she's basically THE girl nerd voice lol), and jack mcbrayer for jesse (high voice with a heavy accent!! i can't think of anyone super midwestern like mary but oh well), plus bob the drag queen for aisha (that's mostly just bc i think he's hilarious). anyways if you have any thoughts i'd love to hear them! keep up the good work :)
So sorry for the late reply^^;
Thank you so much your so sweet!! I love them very much they just bring something out of me and have grown to be my favorite ship no matter how it manifests lol but the YURI is so special in my heart
Oh yeah I did! It’s super fun to think about what they’d sound like with fem voices
Omg she’s such a good pick for Korvo I was having a hard time finding one for her and it makes so much sense because of captain Amelia whom I also have a huge crush on chjdncjdncknf and imagining her being completely cringefail is GOD MAKES ME LOVE HER MORE CHJDNCJDNCK
God yeah those are two perfect casting for Terry I actually can’t chose who I like more they both have such great Terry qualities, I guess if I was to follow tone of voice I’d chose Kate but for mannerism and energy I’d chose Kristen just such good choices I love them!!
((I voted Anna Faris for Terry because of her exasperated tone it just reminded me so much of when Terry would freak or yell and I loved it lol but I guess it’s not that good compared but to be real I just had a huge crush on her when I was a kid well before I knew what those feelings even were lol))
Ohhh that’s perfect!! I see no other voice that could match Sean Giambrones nerdy tone Kate is THE pick!
It’s true I don’t think I’ve ever heard a voice quite like Mary but Jack would be a great pick because of how particular and distinctive it is! And of course the accent bdjdjxkx
Bob is a really good pick I’ve never heard of him before and watched a few clips and he’s really funny fhjdnfjdndjdndjd so long as he’s able to roast the opposites to oblivion then he’ll be perfect!
I love all these picks I’m super impressed by them and now it’s all I can see nckdjfkfndj
Thanks for this awesome ask anon it’s definitely made my night!

Xavier: Renegade Angel #13: “Free Range Manibalism” | March 13, 2009 - 12:15AM | S02E05
I’m sorry, but this one is simply too crazy. Xavier finds a restaurant that very snobbishly turns their noses up at his offer of meat. The meat in question is splattered stuff from roads. He is accused of being a bathroom user, and truly, he is. So, they throw him out and he encounters two bums, whom he convinces to pose as pigs so he can offer them to the restaurant. The restaurant’s whole deal is that they pamper their livestock until they pass away from natural causes. Then, and only then, are they turned into a nice meal.
From there it goes off into a direction that I’m not even that sure I can adequately summarize. So, I won’t. Like, no, really, the episode was great, and I laughed at it a bunch, but I genuinely felt like I missed a key word or something that would have explained, sorta, what was going on.
The honest truth is, sometimes I just don’t want to write about Xavier. That’s because the show is just one incredible joke after the next, and I tend not to enjoy write-ups where all I do is list jokes I like. Here’s some I wrote down, to shut you up: Xavier’s belabored pun of “Heil-er Meatler”. The part where he distracts the sporting goods store (to steal footballs from, so he can sew up new pigskin for the hobos) by getting them to chant “sports” over and over. “Spreading like a mother’s legs on free peanut butter day”. There’s like, way more insane wordplay in this episode than most others, I think.
This is a wild one, and I probably should have watched it twice before covering it here. Oh well! Merry Christmas, everyone!
MAIL BAG
I definitely took a couple days off so I could use the above screenshot on Christmas Day, and no other reason. Time to shine a spotlight on the man of the hour, Mr. Ho-Ho-Ho himself, Santa Claus:
I don’t think you’re nuts! By the time Delocated season 1 started airing, 30 Rock already had appearances from faces familiar to Late Night w Conan fans, like Brian Stack, Brian McCann, Andy Richter, ofc Jack McBrayer, Conan. i wondered too if they hoped to get those Conan fans who gave 30 Rock a chance bc of those cameos. Good theory!
Hey, thanks for that. 30 Rock was definitely a movement, and it's something we could all get behind.
hey man i dunno who told you that SH*T about robot chciken being canceled but creator-whos-not-seth-green just said in a interview two weeks back that its still going so get your hopes down
The funniest case scenario is that Seth Green is too mad about his monkies that he refuses to do the show, and they try to continue without him. He was probably running around the writers room doing nut taps and throwing Nickelodeon Gak on people so they couldn't write funny sketches ever. Maybe this made-up thing that I'm making up right now is just what the show needs.
Tommy Wiseau is an absolute nut job. Mike Lazzo was playing with matches letting that guy in the adult swim ecosystem. Wish he got burned, boyo.
True that!!! Tommy Wiseau is not "WISE" at all... he is a menace
If Santa could put on piece of Adult Swim swag in your holiday stocking this year what would you want it to be?
A new Space Ghost Volume 5 DVD. The second disc on my copy stopped working. I can't even sell it on eBay anymore! WAAAH! Also, the actual plastic case it came in got extremely brittle and it caved in when I tried to open it last time. It's just all the way fucked. I have a digital backup of it, at least. But, I prefer tactile sensations, and the crackle of the vinyl record.
Santa has just left my house. He left 10 presents and ate all four cookies we left him. I was telling my dog who sleeps in my room how great a deal that was. 10 presents for four cookies? My dog didn't seem to care but enjoyed all the attention he was getting. Welp, back to bed.
I'm glad Santa came. I have a question about dog ownership for you: do you have a dog door and do you ever go through it for fun? I feel like if I had a dog and a dog door I would be going in and out of that thing constantly.
If you got bit by the Santa Claus bug, what would you do? Merry Christmas from LA
Hey, thanks, cool to hear about the move. If I was bit by the Santa bug, I would be in heaven, and I hope that answers all of the Christmas Day questions for AdultSwim.Com (my blog).

OK, so here is some on my WOY artwork I would like to show you!
The first drawings are redraws from The Lonely Planet. (This is my favorite WOY episodes, and the episode I obsess over….A LOT !):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The second ones are redraws from The Heebie Jeebies. (This episode is actually the ONLY WOY episode that scares me!):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Also, this lyric from The True Terror Begging’s, “Dancing ghost mimes that bounce just like springs!” haunted me a BUNCH in high school! It still dose today… XC)
Here are two drawings I drew of Wander and the Phantomimes. (Well, just the glowing faces of them as well as my attempt to draw it dancing behind Wander):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This next one are redraws I did from another episode of Wander that is my favorite and that is The Box. This one is based off of the scene when Wander hallucinates giant, creepy smiling mysterious figures that want him to give them his box:
Tumblr media
(Don’t talk to strangers, Wander!)
Alrighty, now we move onto…(banjo strum) The Jack McBrayer Crossovers!
Being a JMCB fan, I knew that Wander would be the perfect character to place in some of his actors roles, including one of his famous roles, Kenneth the Page from 30 Rock!
And here they are!:
Tumblr media
Addicted To Coke, a crossover comic.
Tumblr media
The Voice Mail Code.
Tumblr media
Me and Wander doing a scene from 30 Rock together. (This scene in particular is one of my favorites!)
Bonus: Wander playing the Pirate Mummy, based on a guest star role Jack McBrayer played in the Disney Junior show, Jake and the Neverland Pirates!:
Tumblr media
(This episode in particular came out back in 2015, and the Pirate Mummy himself, said that people give him the heebie jeebies! There was no doubt in my mind that one year later, we got a WOY episode called “The Heebie Jeebies.”) Up next, I did a drawing of Wander doing a crossover with the book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar:
Tumblr media
(Looks like someone ate too much food as well as a watermelon…)
Speaking of food, I drew Wander dressed up as a carrot:
Tumblr media
Based off of this picture I found:
Tumblr media
Next, here’s a redraw from The Pet:
Tumblr media
(I dunno why I love this particular screenshot, I guess I feel like Wander’s very concerned about someone):
Tumblr media
Then we have my first ever drawings I drew of Wander when I first got my iPad Pro back in 2018:
Tumblr media
This was back when I was first drawing with my new Apple Pencil…which I decided to give to my sister because I draw a LOT better with my finger.)
And last but certainly not least, here’s Wander planking his little brother, Mater!:
Tumblr media
(I have an obsession of drawing Mater in the WOY style, because I believe it suits him very well!)
And those are all my WOY drawings that I chose to show you. I hope you liked them!
(Sorry for going a bit too overboard with the descriptions of the fanart…. ^_^;)
Awwh!! Their all so cute ☺️ i really like them!

Dan Povenmire, co-creator of Phineas and Ferb and the voice of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, just did a zoom call for fans, and this is a link to it on Google Drive and a link to it on YouTube.
Here’s a brief overlay brought to you by my incessant live blogging, and because I was speed typing on my phone, I can guarantee not everything made the cut. If you’re interested in hearing Dan talk about growing up an artist and becoming an animator and trying to pitch Phineas and Ferb and working on the show and movies, I would definitely suggest checking out the full 75 minute video. The highlights from the call are below the cut.
They added Doof and Perry because they liked chase scenes. They realized fairly quickly that more than not, the pair led to good comedy, and found it much more interesting to see how their relationship developed. He also says that they are "the most important person to each other” and “they’re really good friends.”
They wrote the Perry theme song in an hour between meetings with Disney
They decided during the pilot that they weren't going to try to get comedy from the characters saying mean things to each other. Even Doofenshmirtz wasn't motivated by evil, he just wanted to get the attention he didn't get at home.
Doof’s backstories were not Dan and Swampy's idea. They were from Jon Barry and Chris Hendrick, who [itched the lawn gnome backstory. It was long and compliated and Dan and Swampy couldn’t stop laughing. They also provided the "it all started on the day of my birth” one the next day.
making the 2D movie while making the movie was the busiest Dan says he has ever been, and that's not even counting the PnF Take Two and Doof's web show and all the interviews. Basically, 2010ish was a very busy time in the Dwampyverse.
They decided to give each pair of writers their own section of an outline to work on, and each pair got to make up the dialogue and jokes based on it. it works well for the show, but writers kept going on their own tangents and the movie ended up like 6 hours long. Dan and Kyle Menke had to redraw 80% of the show because they had to cut gags out and rewrite it so it was still funny. Note: in the new movie, they did the opposite — they wrote a script and told the board artists that they could put brief gags in but nothing too long
He thinks the show became one of the most beloved shows bc it was innocent and the adult humor wasn't dirty so the whole family could watch it together. He also said the songs at the closest thing you get to immortality in a show. Those combined made the show as big of a hit as it was, and hopefully those things will get older people to watch the movie.
His advice if you want to follow in his footsteps are to draw (and suggest you check out Cartoon Animation by Preston Blaire and How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way by Stan Lee) and to know that these jobs are out there
One of his favorite gags in PnF are the silent moments where something big happens and no one reacts (like something big fell in an early episode and crashed next to Phineas and co and at first they were all shocked but Dan changed it to them just kinda looking at it for a moment with no emotion)
Q: Did you ever want to quit what you were going?
A: "I don't really... do... anything else..."
He finished his new pilot today (July 2nd, 2020) and the movie is due tomorrow.
He would love to do more PnF and there's been talks of another PnF movie
He would love to do more Milo Murphy's Law, but it never got huge ratings and Disney's not too big on it but if people start watching it on Disney+ they might get to keep doing it. They did that with Family Guy, and it could happen to MML too.
The movie feels like old Phineas and Ferb and there are a lot of great songs!
And now, the Q&A (in which he draws random characters are he talks)
How was the process of kicking the voices?
It was sometime easy but sometimes very difficult. For Phineas, they listened to maybe a thousand people. they actually recorded someone but they put it to animation and it didn't really work. He knew as soon as he heard Vincent that he loved him. They literally recasted the lead (Vincent) the day before they had to deliver the pilot.
He knew immediately that he liked Alison Stoner. She was the second Isabella he heard, and he listened to maybe 50 others afterwards, but he knew he wanted Alison Stoner
They decided on a different Candace and they sent it to the head of the channel and the guy asked if he heard Ashley Tisdale. He told Dan to have her come in and give her direction and Dan was hesitant bc he had one that he liked but he was lowkey forced to bring her in. It was his only audition that day, and after his big block of text Dan gave her like 20 notes and she wrote the notes on the big block of text and she did it again and it was perfect and obviously Candace (but he feels bad for the actress that was almost Candace bc she'll never know how close she was)
What was the most impactful episode you worked on?
Either the last (hard to watch w/o crying) or three moments that made himcey while doing them: the end of Summer Belongs To You when Phineas gives up trying to get off the island and decides to watch the sunset with Isabella which was what she always wanted and she exploded and talked him back up onto being the person he is even tho it's a sacrifice on her behalf. He later says he started crying while pitching to his wife the AYA scene of Phinabella getting together.
Do you regret any episodes?
There are some he likes more and some he likes less but he doesn't regret any of them. He was a little disappointed in an early episode without a sing but he watched it alter and decided it was actually pretty decent. None of them make him cringe or wonder why they did that.
How has social media impacted PnF?
He recently got on TikTok and found out that's where all the PnF fans are. He was thrilled to see the response everything was getting and it made him feel good about everything he accomplished. The fact that this generation knows what an aglet is is his biggest accomplishment in pop culture.
Favorite part of working on the show/movie
He likes editing, but writing the songs is the most fun bc it feels the least like work
Who is Ferb's mom?
Never established or really thought about Ferb's mom or Phineas's dad AND IT'S NOT DOOFENSHMIRTZ THEY MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THAT TO BE TRUE STOP ASKING and Phineas and Candace are full brother and sister. The bio parents aren't interesting to them bc the family already has a mom and dad and the other ones are just out of the picture and not important.
Will there be a new character in the movie?
Super Super Big Doctor (and Disney keeps telling him what he can and can't talk about)
Are there any secrets or theories that he can tell them?
The freaking creepy pasta about schitzophrenic Candace IS NOT TRUE Phineas and Ferb do exist and are alive. There's also a theory that Candace is not based on the diary of a teen girl in Russia who killed herself, and that's not true either. He genuinely thinks they are really freaking stupid theories and they make no sense at all.
Who is your favorite guest star?
Writing a song with Slash from Guns n Roses was really cool. He also liked working with Ben Stiller, Christian Slater the delivery guy (he called and said he'd do any part in MML so they wrote him a role), Jack McBrayer (Irving/Fix It Felix), Wayne Brady (co-wrote In The Empire)
What is the motivation of Candace to bust the boys?
He's not trying to hurt them. She doesn't dislike them. She gets irritated but she's really just looking for fairness. If she built a rollercoaster in the backyard, she'd get in trouble, so they should get in trouble, too.
How did you think about hot to end the show?
Disney was starting to cool off on PnF. The merch wave had plateaued. Dan and Swampy had the next two years in the show already made, but Disney wouldn't pick up another season until they finished airing that season. They'd have to restaff for a new season and they didn't like that idea, so they turned one of their hour long specials into the finale. He wanted to be able to say goodbye and thank the fans.

In what cartoon(s) would I like to see Wander make a cameo?
Well, even though Disney still has never given the show the same love Fish Hooks got (i.e. 3 seasons and an actual conclusion - it still baffles me today), Wander’s cameo would have to be in any of the more recent shows from Disney TV Animation. If any of them are like Future-Worm, they would have to give an idea of what was planned for that third and final season (FW showed Wander and Sylvia on the Star Nomad, their new means of transportation). Since I never really bothered to watch any of the cartoons DTVA is dishing out right now, I’ll have to make do with a list.
DuckTales (2017) - I’ve noticed people pointing out its various nods to WOY (made possible by @suspendersofdisbelief). I believe it’ll take more than verbal references and a spirit of Christmas Past voiced by Jack McBrayer to get DT fans interested in WOY. I even prepared DT versions of Wander, Sylvia, Hater, Peepers, and Dominator for the DT crew to consider.
Big City Greens - The two brothers who created this show, @chrishoughton and @shanehoughton, were involved in WOY’s first season, and I assume the titular characters are as rural as Wander himself. If production has not yet been stopped, maybe they could throw him in there as some form of graffiti art or something.
Amphibia - I found there’s already a minor character voiced by Jack McBrayer - if memory serves, he performs Toadie, the mayor’s assistant. If creator Matt Braly (@radrappy) cares about WOY, he might at some point have him wear a big green hat with a star on it and play the banjo or something like that.
The Owl House - Someone pointed out some girl in a hood who bears a striking resemblance to a Watchdog. @danaterrace is just as popular among aspiring cartoonists as @alexhirsch-official, so maybe this show could boost support for WOY with a Wander lookalike. That cameo of GF characters in a Hanna-Barbera in The Cartoon had better not be all for naught.
If Disney got to let us see S3 of WOY, I’d definitely check out the aforementioned shows. That’s not to say I have no support for anyone who works on them, mind you.
Lastly, if there’s one cartoon outside the Walt Disney Company that could include a cameo of Wander, it’s the upcoming Netflix original, Kid Cosmic, created by the one and only @crackmccraigen. I know for a fact both WOY and KC don’t take place in the same universe, but if the PPG silhouettes on Frankie’s shirt, the PPG ending reference in The Boy Wander, and Bloo hidden in the crowd in The End of the Galaxy are any indication, Craig has probably already found a way to throw Wander somewhere in there. If we’re lucky, we might get to learn more about S3 and see what the three new main characters planned for S3 look like.
I mean, come on, does Craig really expect us to live through another four years without finding out exactly what he and his team planned for WOY’s third season before Disney turned it down in favor of something else? (I’m looking at you, frequent reruns of P&F, GF, and SvtFoE.) You’d be a fool if the promising concept of Wander’s post-Dominator adventures is completely wasted on you.
I know many people out there don’t choose WOY as their most favorite cartoon, but we can’t let that dissuade us from letting Disney know how interested we are in the show and the plans made for S3. Those plans exist, and we mustn’t let those who put their heart and soul into them take them to their graves - making them a reality is essentially the final step for SaveWOY. Besides, today is Jack McBrayer’s birthday, and I think it would mean so much to him if the Disney bosses let him perform Wander just once more.
Furthermore, in order to help WOY fans pass the time during the COVID-19 pandemic, I came up with an idea of pre-S3 shorts (featuring Andy the Watchdog) for the WOY team’s consideration. Until then, keep showing your support and maybe one day, we’ll see the true conclusion on Disney+!

im confused as to how this new obession w conan started isnt he just a talk show host
Listen
Everything I’ve been obsessed with since late November of 2012 has been determined by Jack McBrayer. Jack led me to not only to loving Disney, but also great shows (30 Rock, SNL, Parks and Rec, The Office, etc).
I got into Conan just as I was starting to get over being sick a few weeks ago. I watched a lot of interviews with Jack McBrayer, and a lot with Aubrey Plaza as well, and most of them were on Conan’s show, because Jack is there ALL THE TIME!!!
After watching a few interviews, I started watching comedy bits from the show. I even watched the entirety of Conan’s commencement speech at Dartmouth College (which is honestly one of the most inspiring speeches I’ve ever listened to in my life).
Conan is a lot more than a talk show host. He’s a comedian, an entertainer, and a true inspiration to me. I believe he’s an incredible person, and from watching tons and tons of clips these past few weeks, I also realized how much he’s worked to be in the place that he’s in. Also, he went to Harvard and majored in English?? Like?? If I could do that, I would!
I’m a theatre major looking to go into comedy, so naturally I look up to comedians who have human decency and know when something’s gone too far. I also have a major interest in the subject of English, and it’s really cool to know most of my favorite comedians have majored in it.
I just think he’s extremely thoughtful and very hilarious. Some people may not agree with me, but that’s fine. It’s my opinion.
Anyway, to answer your question: it’s because of Jack McBrayer, the loml💕✨
(For the future: My obsessions change all the time, and it’s just a spur of the moment thing. I don’t hang on to a lot of them, because I didn’t have them in my childhood (like Harry Potter). But, they always make their rounds again years later. It’s weird, but that’s just me.)

The comedy Queenpins features a talented cast coming together to tell a crazy true story. Written and directed by Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly, Queenpins is about two housewives who created a $40 million coupon scam. The idea started just as a way for their two families to make ends meet as they struggled to pay the bills. However, they quickly learned that with a little crime, they could actually make money off of it.
Illegal couponing doesn’t seem like a high-level crime, but the two women manage to grow rich off their scheme. Their unbelievable success eventually catches the attention of law enforcement. A Loss Prevention Officer and U.S. Postal Inspector lead the investigation into their activities, encountering multiple humorous setbacks along the way. While the characters in the 2021 movie Queenpins call out systemic inequality and the downfalls of capitalism, it’s unlikely that their real-life counterparts shared these same sentiments. In 2012, investigators found millions of dollars worth in forged coupons.
Related: Worth Cast & Character Guide: What The Real People Look Like
Queenpins is playing in theaters with plans to stream on Paramount+ in the near future. The movie takes a more lighthearted angle on the real story, having to combine or tweak some of the people involved in order to work better as a film. Here’s the cast and character guide for Queenpins, along with comparisons to some of the characters’ counterparts in real life.
Kristen Bell stars as Connie Kaminski, a suburban housewife who just wants to find a solution for the debt burying her and her husband. Connie initially comes up with the couponing scheme, eventually teaming up with her friend to help her pull off the biggest coupon scam in U.S. history. Her real-life counterpart is Robin Ramirez, who police considered the ringleader of the criminal operation. At the time of her arrest, investigators discovered Ramirez had four online accounts and 12 bank accounts. Along with paying Procter & Gamble millions of dollars, Ramirez had to serve jail time.
Bell has extensive experience in Broadway, television, and film, leading successful TV series like Veronica Mars and The Good Place. She displays considerable comedy chops in films like Bad Moms and is also well-known for her role as Anna in Disney’s Frozen franchise. Bell will next be lending her voice to the animated show Do, Re & Mi, as well as appearing in the miniseries The Woman in the House.
Kirby Howell-Baptiste co-stars as JoJo Johnson, an aspiring YouTube vlogger and Connie’s partner in crime. JoJo combines two people in real life: Amiko Fountain and Marilyn Johnson. Johnson helped package and ship the coupons to customers, and Fountain placed hologram stickers on some of them to make them look more legitimate. Although both women also had to financially reimburse P&G, they did not have to serve jail time for their part in the scheme. Howell-Baptiste previously worked with Bell on Veronica Mars and The Good Place. She is also known for her appearances in Killing Eve and Cruella. She can next be seen in the indie film Silent Night and later in The Sandman TV series.
Bebe Rexha is the tech genius, Tempe Tina. Rexha’s character helps Connie and JoJo evade the authorities, mainly by strengthening their internet security. She suggests making fake identities and multiple accounts to store their earnings. Tempe Tina does not have a real-life counterpart. She was most likely added to the script for comedic reasons in order to frame Connie and JoJo as being in over their heads and desperately needing outside help. In reality, the women seemed to have a better grasp of how to stay under the radar than the movie portrays, which enabled them to avoid police detection for so long. Queenpins is Rexha’s first major acting role. Previously, she worked as a singer and songwriter, penning hits like Eminem and Rihanna’s “The Monster” and collaborating with bands such as Florida Georgia Line. She has also worked on soundtracks for movies like Abominable and, most recently, He’s All That.

Vince Vaughn as Simon Kilmurry – Vince Vaughn plays Simon Kilmurry, a U.S. postal inspector who works with Ken to investigate the coupon scam. His character represents the law enforcement in charge of tracking down the women responsible. Vince Vaughn’s other movies include many big-budget action films and comedies such as The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and Wedding Crashers. Vaughn is also currently appearing in the series Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Dayo Okeniyi as Earl – Okeniyi plays Earl, who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, which results in a hilarious interrogation scene with Ken and Simon. Okeniyi appeared in The Hunger Games and Run Sweetheart Run, and his next role is in Greek Freak.

She has previously appeared with Bell on Bad Moms, but her claim to fame has been in screenwriting. Mumolo was an Academy Award-nominated screenwriter for the romantic comedy Bridesmaids. Her next acting role is for the movie Confess, Fletch.
Queenpins debuted in theaters on September 10, 2021.

Portlandia: Every Season Ranked, According To Rotten Tomatoes
The dream of the '90s is alive in Portland. Well, was alive in Portland.
The sketch comedy show starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein that takes place in Oregon's hipster city — Portlandia —aired from 2011 to 2018 on IFC. The series' eight seasons were loved for their quirky situations, funny characters, and sharp writing.
While we can't expect any more episodes of Portlandia to be made in the future, we can look back at the wonderful seasons already out there and see how they stack up. That's what we'll be doing today using data from Rotten Tomatoes.
We'll first be ranking the seasons by their Tomatometer score, which is based on the positive and negative reviews of critics. If two seasons have the same critic score, we'll be turning to the audience score for answers. If the audience scores tie, the season with more reviews will be placed first. And lastly, if a season didn't get enough critic rating to receive an official Tomatometer score, we'll be giving it a shout-out at the beginning.
Portlandia as a whole received a 94% Tomatometer score and an 80% audience score, so it's time to set your expectations high as we journey to one of Oregon's most eclectic towns. Here is how every season of Portlandia stacks up.
8 Season 7 (Not Scored)
Tumblr media
Season 7 of Portlandia didn't receive enough critic ratings to get an official score, however, it did receive an audience score of 65%. The season contained 10 episodes and featured guest appearances by comedians including Kumail Nanjiani, Andy Richter, Rachel Dratch, and Vanessa Bayer.
While some viewers found that the show felt a bit worn out by the time its seventh season came along, others thought this set of episodes breathed new life into the comedy. It returned to the sketch-driven format of early seasons rather than the story-driven format of later ones. We're a fan of all the setups, as long as we're getting the hipster comedy we've grown to love.
7 Season 6 (Not Scored)
Tumblr media
Season 6 also didn't get enough critic ratings to rack in an official score. However, it still managed to pull a slightly higher 73% audience score.

This was one of the seasons that was heavily narrative-driven. And while some people missed the mishmashed sketches, others loved watching the festivals, relationships, and hipster lifestyles play part in a bigger picture. We also can't argue with the guest appearances by Zoë Kravitz and Louis C.K. And did we mention it's even weirder than the seasons before it?
6 Season 8 (88%)
Tumblr media
The final season of Portlandia brought in an 88% Tomatometer score and a close 77% audience score.
While some felt the series had outlived its heyday, others believed Season 8 reminded viewers of why they liked the show in the first place. After all, it was stocked with all the quirky situations it had become known for, poking fun at things like true crime podcasts, dating apps, and punk bands.
Fans were sad to see the show go but were, of course, glad to give it one final run.
5 Season 3 (88%)
Tumblr media
While Season 3 also received an 88% critic score, it pulled in a higher 89% audience rating.
Critics loved this season for harping on the niche indie audience it attempted to simultaneously make fun of and praise. It found what was culturally relevant at the time and overlayed it with smart humor.
While some viewers thought this season marked the beginning of a slow decline, most instead believed that Armisen and Brownstein had grown comfortable in their roles, and therefore were able to develop their characters to the max.
4 Season 1 (89%)
Tumblr media
The opening season of Portlandia contained only six episodes, but boy, did they leave a mark. The Tomatometer score turned up at 89% while the audience score ranked in at 76%.
Season 1 gave the sketch comedy a chance to figure out what it was. While there were viewers who criticized this, others loved watching Brownstein and Armisen determine all the weird and wonderful places they could take Portlandia.

Armisen took his exaggerated characters from SNL to a whole new level and rather than trying to push the funny-factor, both actors let the laughs come naturally through their subtle and strange comedic style.
3 Season 2 (100%)
Tumblr media
Portlandia's second season took in a perfect 100% Tomatometer score and an 84% audience rating. Viewers praised the new surprises and the strength of each sketch individually. Additionally, critics noted that the writing was solid and the moments were funnier. It seemed Portlandia had found its stride.
It's also worth noting that guest appearances from performers like Andy Samberg, Jack McBrayer, and Ed Begley Jr. further helped attract comedy fans. It was clear from this season that there would be many more to come.
2 Season 5 (100%)
Tumblr media
Season 5 also nabbed itself a perfect critic score, while its audience score ranked in at 87%. This season saw Brownstein's character facing the struggles of Rideshare, Armisen's character identifying as a male feminist, and their combined eco-terrorist group taking down SeaWorld. In other words, yes, it did have all the quirky indie flavor of the seasons before it.
This season's humor became wider while the characters grew more expansive. The show continued to grow into its strange but compelling skin, ultimately creating something that viewers just couldn't look away from.
1 Season 4 (100%)
Tumblr media
The highest-rated season of Portlandia on Rotten Tomatoes took in a 100% critic score and an 87% audience score. However, with many more critics and casual viewers weighing in on this season's rating than the former, it is ultimately ranking higher on our list.
This sweet middle spot of the series contained 10 of the most eclectic episodes on television. It was praised for its rich comedy that also managed to cross the line into social commentary.
The supporting characters also received larger roles in this season, and star cameos from Jeff Goldblum, Maya Rudolph, and Kirsten Dunst definitely didn't hurt that. All in all, Season 4's self-awareness brought out the series' greatest strengths.
