You!
(fluff, 642 words) Mermista and Scorpia practice adding dramatic lightning effects to everyday conversation and prank Glimmer.
Shamelessly boosting this old fic because I only just found out there was art for it which is so cool!

Day 10 of @spop-palentines Parental. When Glimmer brought home an orphan Horde soldier, Queen Angella had no choice but to claim her as a second daughter and decided to get a family portrait to celebrate. Adora certainly needed a better maternal figure than Shadow Weaver and isn’t complaining about having a new sister either.

Written for Day 5 of @spop-palentines: Comfort.
“What’s all this about?” Scorpia wondered, looking at the items spread around the room.
“It’s for Catra. She’s been a bit stressed out lately and her sleep has reduced by 30%. My research indicates that friends help each other when they’re stressed,” Entrapta announced proudly.
“Oh, you’re helping Catra? Can I help too?” Scorpia asked enthusiastically.
“Mmm…” Entrapta looked thoughtful.
“Oh, I get it. It’s probably too advanced for me. Can I at least sit with you? I’d like the company, or would I just be in the way?” Scorpia asked.
“No, you can help. I’m just running a cross comparison of the molecules in the aroma compounds on this blanket and the contents of this box,” Entrapta explained.
“Uh… Right. Of course. What does that mean?” Scorpia nodded along enthusiastically.
“This is Catra’s blanket. She always seems more relaxed when she’s near her blanket. As a cat, smells are heavily linked to emotions, ergo it is likely similar scents will trigger a similar reaction. I need to find something else which smells like this blanket. My preliminary tests indicated that the items in this box I found under Catra’s bed are a close match. I’m running more extensive tests on them now to be sure,” Entrapta explained slowly.
“You took Catra’s things? She is not going to like that,” Scorpia noted, in concern.
“I wouldn’t have had to, but it’s the only thing which seemed similar. Besides, it says “to be burned” on the box. No point wasting it,” Entrapta held up a Horde issue top from the box.
Scorpia looked at the white top with red marks on the sleeves and the Horde logo on the back, “This isn’t Catra’s size.”
“Maybe that’s why she doesn’t want it,” Entrapta shrugged, “But the smell should work to comfort her. Now can you fetch the big cardboard box in the other room while I finish up these tests?”
“I can do that,” Scorpia beamed, happy to be helping.
She returned with it shortly, “Now what?”
“Can you look through these two data sets? The programme I wrote has indicated any anomalies between the two in red. It’s an 89% match, but I need you to find the section with the greatest divergence. I’ll need to check that over myself,” Entrapta explained.
Scorpia blinked three times.
“Find the section with the most red,” Entrapta clarified.
Scorpia perked up and tried to work the keyboard, “Oh it’s just so tiny with the pincers. Hang on. I’ve got this.”
“Good. I’ll be right back,” Entrapta told her as she climbed into the nearest vent.
Scorpia worked happily, allowing herself the opportunity to hum along while Catra wasn’t there to get irritated. By the time Entrapta returned, she’d found the exact angle to hold her claw and only press a single button.
“I found it,” She grinned at Entrapta and stood back to reveal the red.
Entrapta came close to stare at it, muttering too fast for Scorpia to follow. The next instant she’d grabbed a pair of scissors and had begun hacking into the top.
“What are you doing?” Scorpia asked worriedly.
“It’s a sufficient match. I’ll need the fabric to dissolve in this solution I concocted earlier. The smaller the pieces, the faster it dissolves,” Entrapta explained, “Now you can prepare the box nicely with the blanket; there’s a heat lamp to set-up above it too.”
Scorpia set to the tasks she’d been given, trying to make it as comfortable as possible.
When she had finished, Entrapta sprayed the contents with the shirt liquid.
“Ok. We just need to refresh the scent ever few days and it’ll be a perfect haven. Do you think you can get her here?”
 *
Catra came in grumbling. Scorpia had summoned her with her Force Captain badge and she was much too busy to be summoned! She stopped in the doorway and sniffed. Adora?
No… Not Adora. It was similar, but not quite the same. It still smelt like home and made her feel safe. If she had smelt the real Adora, they’d have had to fight. She didn’t think she could do that right now, when she was so exhausted (emotionally, she could still physically kick Adora’s butt).
Catra followed her nose to the source and clambered into the box.
Oh. That was nice. It was warm and snuggly with the heat radiating down from the overhead lamp. She felt the purr being forced from her throat as she curled up small inside. She was so very tired. It had been days since she’d really slept. Maybe she could spare a few hours.
Catra knew she should be more concerned about where such a perfect box had come from, but somehow she couldn’t bring herself to care. Sleep was coming fast and she found she didn’t mind. The rebellion would still be there when she woke. She’d deal with them later.
“It worked!” Scorpia whispered excitedly, from where they’d hidden.
“Of course it worked. I’ve been researching cat behaviour for days. Data doesn’t lie,” Entrapta shrugged, “When she wakes up, she can pay me back by getting me some more First Ones tech.”

It’s “Crack (Friend)Ships” time for @spop-palentines again, so here is a sequel to last year’s Adventure Time crossover, Parallels :p
Intersections
“So anyway,” Simon said, “That’s the story of how my fiancée turned into a gigantic unknowable god of chaos.”
Hordak nodded sympathetically. “That is abrasive, my friend.”
They were both perched on the sofa at Marceline’s house, drinking mugs of hot cocoa while Entrapta and Bubblegum sat on the floor sorting through the bits and bobs that used to be Marcy’s electric amp. In theory they were only trying to add a 13 to the volume control, but the project had stretched on so long and the two scientists were speaking to each other so rapidly that by this point nobody else really knew exactly what they were doing.
Marceline floated in from the kitchen. “‘Sup Simon. ‘Sup Batman. Anyone need refills yet?”
“No thank you, Marcy, I’ve got plenty!” Simon chirped. “Oh, um, it’s gone a little cold, though.”
“I will gladly have more,” Hordak declared, holding out his empty mug. “You may inform Catra that her recipe is improving dramatically under your tutelage.”
Marceline took both their cups and drifted back into the other room, where a cat-eared woman was quietly cursing over a saucepan.
“How did the video make this look so easy?” Catra muttered, furiously stirring the chocolate.
“Your dad says you’re doing a good job,” Marceline offered, adjusting her altitude.
Catra blanched. “Hordak is not my…! Oh, whatever, it’s fine. You know, when your geek girlfriend and his geek girlfriend fell into each other’s science projects, I didn’t exactly expect it to lead to this.”
“Nothing ever goes the way you expect it to,” Marceline shrugged, slowly somersaulting in midair. “But that’s not always a bad thing. It can be nice to be surprised. Plus, between us? Your girl loves it here. If you want I can show you where the best dungeons are for date nights.”
Catra seemed to seriously consider this. Then something occurred to her and she looked around in sudden confusion. “Hey, where is Adora, anyway?”
“Outside on the deck playing Dare or Dare with Finn. It’s a hero game.”
Catra looked out the window where Marceline was pointing. Sure enough, both headstrong blondes were there, squaring off in honorable combat. Several crushed cans of Super Porp littered the boards at their feet.
Adora held a squirming thing with too many legs out towards the boy. “I dare you to eat this bug!”
“Ha! Thath eashy!” Finn smirked through a crunching mouthful. “I dare you to do a kickflip off the roof!”
“I dare you to fight me with one hand! Wait, sorry.”
“I dare you to name your first-born after me!”
“All right, I think that’s enough,” Catra said, hurriedly climbing out the window to retrieve her girlfriend.
“But Catraaa,” Adora whined as she was dragged inside, “I made a Royal Promise!”
Back in the living room, Entrapta and Bubblegum had reassembled the spare parts into… something. It didn’t look like an amplifier, but somehow they’d managed to plug Marceline’s ax into it anyway. The setup vibrated with unstable energy.
Entrapta bounded over and held the guitar out to the vampire. “The gelatinous one and I have completed our improvements! Test it out!”
“Hang on a hot sec before you do, though,” Bonnie cautioned, donning blast goggles and a pair of massive earmuffs.
Marceline noticed that Simon and Hordak had left the couch to build a sandbag bunker in the middle of the room. Everyone else hastily climbed inside and disappeared from view. A moment later, a purple ponytail in the shape of a thumbs-up popped back over the top.
“Okay, we’re secure! Give it a shot!”
Cautiously, Marceline plucked at the smallest string. The walls shook. Oh well, she thought. I have been meaning to remodel this place.
She struck a chord.
“Wow,” someone said, after all the dust and wreckage had finally settled. “Music really is powerful, man!”

There have always been a too many pillows at Bright Moon. Not just in the prison/spare room but everywhere. They seem to multiply when you aren't looking and most guests to the castle end up taking about half of them off the bed before they sleep because it's just a bit too much when you aren't used to it.
But all the other former Horde kids (outside of Adora) cannot get enough of all the wonderful softness, something they saw so little of growing up. When Catra moves in, pillows start disappearing from all around the castle and invariably the staff find them in a colossal pile in the corner of a room, her and Scorpia napping somewhere in the middle, like a dragon with a cuddle hoard.

Day 21 of @spop-palentines Common Ground. Screencap redraw of one of my favourite scenes. Sea Hawk and Scorpia fighting over drunk Adora, but end up with a ceasefire where they have a heart to heart about being taken for granted. They agree to put aside their differences to fight the infected giant bugs “for the Horde” (”I don’t agree with that sentiment, but I’m also here”).
I like to think the 3 of them spent more time together after the war.

Let the Sunshine In
A surprise double-whammy double-drabble for Hordak’s birthday and @spop-palentines day 18: ‘Apology’
*
“Wait, Hordak’s birthday is today?” Perfuma looked up from her phone, shock showing plainly on her face.
Entrapta, reclining upside-down at the other end of the bench they shared, did not pause in her game of Trapper Tank. “Yeah, but we’re not celebrating ‘til tonight, so I’ve got time to hang. I wanna hit up that flower place you told me about later.”
It was midday at the mall. They sat in the thoroughfare between Fright Zone Apparel and Deepest Dankest Dungeon Tobacco Accessories, the remains of a food court lunch between them. Entrapta continued tapping distractedly at her phone, but Perfuma’s anxiety persisted.
“Entrapta, I’m so sorry!”
Entrapta quirked an eyebrow. “For forgetting? I don’t think Hordak was expecting you to get him anything.” She was still wearing her oil-stained work overalls, a sharp contrast to her friend’s many bright bangles and necklaces.
Perfuma clutched at one of her astrological charms. “It’s not that! It’s… you’re dating another Aquarius! Oh, this is a tragedy!”
Now Entrapta did look up. But she could only keep a straight face at Perfuma’s increasing distress for so long before she had to return to her phone. Surreptitiously opening a chat, she began to type.
Sorry to bother you Hordikins, but you’ll never guess what I’m doing right now…
