Movie name: Balto II: Wolf Quest (2003)

Out of the trio I've probably drawn Sumac the least. Not because I dislike him or anything, he just speaks the least to me. Also Yak and Nuk are not great comic reliefs but they're not really annoying, while Sumac does border on being annoying sometimes.

Still I like this guy tho. I headcanon he's the smallest of the trio and Yak and Nuk's cousin.

Hey guys I'm pushing out more activity onto my own comics and art making. As a goofy creative arts therapist with colorblindness I don't intend to be a professional or become an amazing high stakes webtoonist.

But what I would like to do is make comics that people feel witnessed and comforted by. That give the readers that sense of magic and wonder with the hard hitting punches of Miyaza.ki films. While keeping the innocence and fun of youth like sailo.r moon.

The Apothecarians

Focuses on minor dieties of healing who struggle with task paralysis and PTSD during the beginning of the first real war in their life times. They are stagnant and struggling to decide what to do until a magicless witch and her daughter Sumac come to work in their garden. Fable has trauma in spades and isn't willing to meet her employers friendliness but through many shenanigans and creative problem solving situations the Apothecarians and Fable begin learning how to communicate with one another.

This long slow burn of how do traumatized people build relationships is full of LGBTQIA goodness,random adventure, I'm breaking my hand drawing the backgrounds, the fantasy tropes are broke, there's humor, no one is all powerful, a crocodile runs a bathroom, there's multiple lores, mythos, languages etc for every region, did u know disabilities exist in fantasy? Omg???? There's integrated and diverse cities??? Like actual real life places??? There's no stupid ass evil culture or good culture. Like damn.

The Black Sheep

Remember that feeling you got when you realized a bunch of old people enlisted you in wars you didn't want to fight? Welcome to the hard-core rage of the Black Sheep: an all teen all kick ass group of sabotagers. They have fun taking back being cute, fight sex.uqlization of minors, and remind the world that a group of teens dressed in black is not to be fucked with.

kept safe under the watchful eye of an infamous sky pirate they take to the skies to defeat the war that's destroying the world. Breaking the gender binary, magic, and the laws of physics along the way.

Why? Because I fucking hate mo.e anime and I will destroy it even if it's through a stupid ass web comic.

" Troll Hunter" for lack of a better name

Takes place in this same universe where trolls with a secret plot driven sickness have gone berserk. The rest of the magical communities decide they must be put down and develop a school for Troll hunters.

It pays well and is highly respected career if not extremely dangerous given trolls are 20+ feet tall.

Our story focused on one Troll Hunter who prefers to work alone with his ice burrowing mole that he can use like a sled dog.

He believes that the trolls aren't beyond help and has a deeper relationship with them than anyone could ever guess. With the help of his epic investigation skills and medical knowledge he hopes he can develop something to save the trolls before its too late.

And " grumpy moss witch"

You ever wonder on your d and d campaign about that forbidden forest and who saves your sorry ass? Yeah that's this grumpy witch. Grumpy witch was a low graduate from witch school and has Issues they never became a fancy career witch. They just settled down in the most hazardous woodland and started rescuing the stupid people they come a crossed.

They also make cursed or blessed or just chaotic objects which they pass along to travelers.

The Blade Bakery

6 of the continents legendary assassins and thieves have banded together to retire! They've created a Bakery in an arid desert town on the gateway to the plains.

But their pasts are always just around the corner and there's a love interest at a certain bar qmd at a graveyard that has them all on edge.

Good thing they can pawn off children to their friend the grumpy witch in the woods!!! Wait what do you mean they don't exactly like kids!?

Launching June 22 here: @sumac-comic Working with @the-suit on this AU comic — I’m helping with the art. Been in the works for a long while now but I know the world is kind of upside down right now. Maybe this could be something of a palate cleanser in the midst of all the history in the making. Hope everyone is doing well, being vigilant, and staying safe.

#anyway uh. oak is the hardboiled detective in boots comic sumac is the homme fatal and ivy is the possibly a criminal #amalgams articulations #listen. it fits okay. bc in the original tale the salient characteristics of the miller's son were: #a) he's keeping secrets #b) his morals are not super strong #c) he is very very attractive #d) he is great at bluffing and uses apparent helplessness to trick people #e) he is not necessarily evil and may be desperate #so.

Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie): Issue #9

‘Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog’’s ‘Pseudo Sonic’ story was adapted in Issue #9 of Archie’s Sonic the Hedgehog comic series. The Archie Sonic comics took the set up of the darker Sonic SatAM cartoon - Sonic and his band of Freedom Fighter friends battling the tyrannical intimidating Dr Robotnik - and took it into its own direction and developed mythology, going from 1993 to 2017 before being cancelled after 291 main issues and numerous specials and spinoffs, an impressive run to be sure. 

The beginning of Archie Sonic was a lot more comedic and laid back compared to SatAM, being more along the lines of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, sporting a lot of fourth wall breaks which died down with a more serious tone around Issues #17 and #18. Issue #9 tweaked the Pseudo Sonic plot, making the Pseudo fully sentient rather than just a mech suit, and is used by Robotnik to discover the location of the Freedom Fighters’ secret base in Knothole to wipe them out. Don’t let the cover fool you, the real deal and his doppelganger never meet. (Pic 1)

Sonic goes out to pick flowers for Princess Sally, the Freedom Fighter leader who also serves as his love interest. Standing in a meadow picking some flowers, he’s met with Betty Butterfly, who’s confused why he’d be picking poison sumac blossoms...which he had no idea about. (Pic 2)

Cue Sonic stating he’s allergic to those flowers and scratches himself desperately, which Betty states only makes it worse. Betty warns the reader if they want to see the results, and presents it: Swollen Sonic! Compared to AOSTH, Sonic’s body is totally puffed up everywhere, most especially the thickened limbs accompanied by huge hands and feet, making him look even stockier. There’s a little detail in his legs, showing their division in two large chunks. The torso has become a giant ball far larger than the size of his head. As for the head itself, the spines lose their sharpness, the muzzle and nose become rounder, and the ears become wider. Sonic squints, making his eyes look tiny. He doesn’t grow any taller, but the effects of the scratching are very much apparent from the amount of bumps scattered across his body. Swollen Sonic feels his huge stomach and woozily states that he doesn’t feel very good. (Pic 3)

Pseudo Sonic infiltrates Knothole but is fortunately defeated by the Freedom Fighters, while Sonic manages to pull himself out of the patch, now back to normal after the swelling’s gone down. (Pic 4)

We’d see Swollen Sonic again in issue #57 when the heroes observe a recap of the previous issues. Here, Sonic’s bloated body is covered in even more bumps as he proclaims how unwell he is, while Pseudo sneaks past him, something that was never implied in #9.

In the Archie Sonic comics Sonic had a contact allergy to some flowers called poison sumac blossoms and it’s only brought up once in the comic and never again. I found it’s one-time use kinda funny since it served solely as a plot device to stop Sonic from fighting Metal right away

I doubt they were referencing his purported hay fever since that was years before it was stated by TokyoJoypolis.
