Somehow Imp!Kallus from Season 1 time travels to the future and meets up with Rebel!Kallus, but Imp!Kallus doesn't know he's defected:
Imp Kal: What DOES my future hold for me?
Rebel Kal: *trying not to reveal too much* Well, we have an awfully eventful career and end up with a fair amount of experience in the Intelligence network. Lots of travel and we meet many important people. We end up having quite a few memorable moments both in the Empire and the Rebe-er, our personal life.
Imp Kal: That is all I could have hoped to hear! Speaking of personal life, and I'm almost afraid to ask but, do we... find any kind of life partner?
Rebel Kal: *sweating* Um, well, yes! We end up quite happily married to a partner that loves us dearly. There isn't anything I wouldn't do to make them smile. We actually retire to a rather lovely and lively temperate planet. Huge house, beautiful garden, a few wonderful kits-KIDS.
Imp Kal: *could not be happier* I MUST know who this lovely individual is. When do I meet them?
Hera: I don't know why you have and issue with it. Kallus was happy to comply.
Ezra: So what, now I'm supposed to do everything that Kallus does? I mean, what if he jumped off a cliff?
Hera: If Kallus were to jump off a cliff, he would have done his due diligence regarding the height of the cliff, the depth of the water and the angle of entry so... Yes. If you see Kallus jump off a cliff, by all means, jump off a cliff.
So what if that fcking clone isn't really tech and we've all just been clowning ourselves out here and we never get to see Tech again and our poor little clone is really gone and he never gets to live happily with Phee and his brothers, he never gets to see Crosshair redeemed, or Omega grow up.
Not only that, but if one of the other bad batchers, (or all of them) die, the won't be able to do so either.
Now we only have two episodes left of The Bad Batch series
Flash Strike drops 4/24
The Cavalry Has Arrived drops 5/1
Since they are not debuting the last two episodes of the series at the same time, I am wondering if The Cavalry Has Arrived will be an hour (or longer). The first episode ever of the series was an hour and 15 minutes. So it would be full circle in a way. Plus that would enable all loose ends to be tied up.
What happens to Cody?
How does Wolffe leave the Empire and join Rex (assuming this isn’t shown in one of the two remaining TBB episodes)
How did Rex assemble his underground network? Does Ahsoka assist him in any way?
What happens to Echo? He’s not in Rebels (again, assuming this isn’t answered in one of the two remaining TBB episodes).
How does it just end up being Rex, Gregor, and Wolffe on Seelos?
What happens with Chuchi’s efforts to get Clones rights under the Empire? (assuming this isn’t answered in one of the two remaining TBB episodes)
This doesn’t mean this the last we’ll see if The Bad Batch. It’s always possible we will get a whole new clone series that includes them. My money would be on a Tales of the Clones or a Rex series. There is plenty of material for them to use. There is also a large gap between The Bad Batch and Rebels. We could also get a book series as well, which wouldn’t be horrible.
*add your own loose end that you want to see tied up in either the last two episodes or a separate series.
Thrawn knows they were in Hell already, so losing Alastor, a powerful overlord, was a longshot. Alastor... his feelings for Thrawn was love... but he had no clue if it's the same way Thrawn felt for him...
Rebels has been a comfort show for me longer than I’ve actually cared about star wars (my grade 6 self loved watching Disney XD on tv what can I say🤷🏻♀️)
And the main reason is because of how much the ghost crew loved each other..they were a family and I loved that about them
Anyways, I haven’t felt that same comfort until The Bad Batch and I just love it so much
I’m gonna feel super empty when this season ends :(
Whats interesting to me in the Rebels episode 'Breaking Ranks' is two things in particular.
First, Ezra was stated to have been in the academy for WEEKS, living and training in the same building Kallus was working in. The way the cadets handed out datapads on the same floor as Kallus' office and to Kallus himself implies that he and Ezra probably crossed paths regularly and Kallus had NO IDEA.
It means Ezra also got to see how intensely workaholic Kallus is. 😅
Second, the decoder that he was trying to steal contained the location of a massive Kyber crystal.
This is one of the crystals intended to be used for the Death Star. Which was the project of Orson Krennic, funding rival of Thrawn, whom Kallus was not yet working under.
Kallus probably had not been told WHAT the crystal was for, but knew it was top secret (which is why he was trusted with the information).
There is so much fanfiction 'What if?' potential here!
What if Kallus had defected early and gave the code willingly? Would that have set back the Death Star plans and therefore the entire original trilogy timeline?
What if Kallus found out the significance of the stolen information after the war and has a massive whump moment over it? ("I had that information in MY HANDS. The LIVES I could have saved if I had acted on it...")
What if after it was stolen and while still an Imperial Kallus found out Saw Gerrera was ALSO after the information?
That particular crystal gets blown up pretty quickly, but I feel Kallus would have been able to help track down the other ones, if only he had known
