Kakashi is a character who’s really good at helping people improve fast, so imagine if any of his students had continued training under him during the time skip.

Like, he taught Naruto about the shadow clones when he was learning to create a new Jutsu. How much stronger would Naruto have been if he knew that two years earlier?

How much stronger would Sasuke have been if Kakashi was able to teach him more chakra Natures and how to use his Sharingan to actually learn new jutsu’s and add them to his own arsenal like Kakashi did

Imagine Sakura with actual elemental jutsu’s and training on being a tactician and leader.

I've only played some of the ninja storm titles so idk much about naruto aside from their cast of funny characters so please tell me: can sakura get a slug sage mode or some other cool power up? Bc while I agree magic punches is one of my favorite genres of character she looks out of place next to naruto and sasuke kaiju forms. Give her slug powers something idk

No, she doesn’t 😞 Because Sakura’s a medic-nin, she’s technically not even supposed to directly engage in combat… because, well, the squad is screwed if the medic dies, right? But her and Tsunade are allowed to break that rule because they’re super powerful.

The closest thing Sakura has to a sage mode is the Strength of a Hundred Seal, which is used for rapid regeneration/healing of the self or others.

Edit: Oh I thought you said does, not can. Yeah, she can get cool power ups, but Kishimoto sucks.

Book 7, Chapter 7, Episode 101:

So the DiaRamshackle squad landed in Ignihyde, where they meet the completely aware Idia. They had thought they got out of a dream into the "real world", but it turns out they're just outside of Lilia's dream but still within Malleus' magical domain expansion-- which is Idia's "dream" now. Proof of this is because Sebek's still wearing his armor.

At this point in time, apparently they haven't really conversed with Idia yet. Sebek barely remembers that Idia's the Ignihyde housewarden LOL.

Sebek: "... That's right! I knew I've seen that face before. You're Ignihyde's housewarden! Back at the entrance ceremony, you attended in some sort of board-like thing. This might be the first time I've seen you in proper form."

Sebek: "I am from Diasomnia, First Year, Class D, Seat 33, Sebek Zigvolt!!" WHY IS HE SO ENTHUSIASTIC LMAO

Sebek: "This dopey man right here is Silver. Second Year, from the same dormitory!!" (DOPEY DSJKNDAS HE'S BASICALLY SAYING HE LOOKS HIGH LMAO)

Idia: "Are Malleus and co.'s ears still fine from being blasted by this boombox everyday at close-range..."

Silver: "Everyone, on alert! Idia-senpai, Grim, prefect, get behind me and Sebek!"

So the "darkness" have come for Idia because they sensed that someone needs to be lulled back to sleep lol.

Grim: "Malleus might pop up again to say "You're awake?"..!"

Sebek: "The "darkness" are fine, though I do not know if we can win against Lord Malleus without Sir Lilia..."

"No, we are ready!"

Sebek: "Whether it be the darkness, or Lord Malleus... We will definitely strike back!!!"

Idia: "Uogh... Wai-- too close... Can't... breathe..!"

???: "About Malleus and the dark shadows... You don't need to worry about them for a while. I think he's spending considerable "resources" trying to get Lilia Vanrouge back to sleep."

Ortho: "Hehe, sorry for making you worry."

Apparently, Ortho's appearing in monitor mode for now because trying to appear as his usual form in Idia's dreams causes some serious errors.

Ortho: "Anyway... Everyone, brother's face is already turning blue from asphyxiation. Can you let him go now?"

So the two let go of him and Idia let's in a HUGE GASP FOR AIR

Idia: "ohh I almost descended to the underworld... Tha-thanks for the save, Ortho..."

So anyway, Sebek starts questioning the two what they mean by Malleus using up resources to put Lilia to sleep. Ortho starts the explanation by recounting events. That during Lilia's farewell party, Malleus put everyone to sleep-- no, froze time and space itself. But Ortho in particular managed to escape from the island through communications satellite. Everyone was shocked because Ortho could do something like that?! Ortho just laughs and says his "peculiarity" was helpful, because while he's not a mage and therefore cannot have a unique magic, he can transmit his "soul" through radio waves.

Sebek: "Loathe as I am to admit... but human advancement in machinery is amazing."

Silver chimes in and praises that Ortho's uniqueness is something they can never attain no matter how hard they train. Ortho moves on, explaining that he went to STYX headquarters and there, they hatched the plan for Ortho to infiltrate Sage Island in order to analyze Malleus' unique magic, Fae of Maleficence.

Naruto but Backwards

I tried to keep it in short topics, but this still got long enogh for me to need its own post

A war just broke out in the ninja world, 12 year old Naruto has a huge target on his back and doesn't even know why. His father dies protecting him and telling him about the beast sealed inside him. (Other important plot points happen, that I don't feel like really thinking and elaborating now).

The conflict dies out for a while, many casualities and a new villain claiming to have the power of all the bijuus but two, Tobi/Madara/whatever Obito calls himself here, challenges the five nations to hand over Naruto and B. Naruto is sent to a secret island to train and be safe. There he meets his mother who teaches him to use his powers. He and B are rescued by Iruka's team when the big villain's new organization shows up to get them (Kisame from the Akatsuki)

The five kages meet and a little terrorist (Sasuke) shows up by Tobi's orders to disrupt their attempt to reunite forces, the Hokage Danzo takes the responsability for the boy from his village - when in reality he hopes to get another easy sharingan. Sasuke manages to kill him with the Akatsuki's help.

The leaf village is in shambles after the death of their hokage and Tsunade is appointed as the new one (not counting their titles, Minato could've been hokage or not so Tsunade could be 5th or 6th). Her first challenge is an attack from the Akatsuki after Naruto. Again lots of people get hurt, but the boy convinces Nagato to turn against Tobi and in exchange Nagato introduces Naruto to his old master.

After failing his first mission for the Akatsuki, Sasuke has to fight his brother to prove himself (sasuke is 13) nearly dies, but wins (Itachi lets him - doesn't die). And Sasuke is given his own little team (taka) to work. Their first job? Capture the 8 tails - clearly Tobi doesn't value them and is just sending them to their death, they defect, Deidara is sent to stop them and fights with Sasuke. (Bonus- A tracker team from the leaf is after Sasuke)

Team taka, now running from the Akatsuki seeks shelter with Orochimaru and becomes team hebi. Naruto is training with Jiraya, learns the shadow clones because Minato taught him rasengan already.

Kakuzu and Hidan are sent to capture Naruto and he is saved last minute by team Ino-Shika-Cho. Asuma dies in the first confront, but gives Naruto a hint to improve his rasengan. His students avenge his death with the help of Kakashi and his own team - Sakura and Sai. Naruto asks to be trained by Kakashi and joins his team, so he can have more experiences.

Naruto's first mission with team Kakashi is to investigate one of Orochimaru's hideouts, because there are rumors (thanks to team 8 ;)) that he is working against the Akatsuki and if that's the case they could become allies (he is, but he won't lol). They meet Sasuke!! They knew him from the stories, from his attack to the kages, but they meet in person for the first time.

Back to the leaf village, the sand sends an unexpected request for their help - they have a jinchuuriki and they need to hide/protect him. Turns out Tobi lied about having all the bijuu! Team Kakashi goes (though Sai could be busy this time), they save Gaara from Deidara, who had already kidnapped him and was almost at the hideout. Team Gai shows up to save the day! Naruto makes a new friend like him.

New measures are taken to protect the jinchuurikis, Naruto leaves to travel with his master Jiraya, though he is now officially a member of team Kakashi. He learns sage mode in the two years he's away. And returns to the village once there's apparently no risk of the war breaking into active conflict again. Tobi is quiet.

Sasuke discovers that Orichimaru had been helping Tobi and planned to hand him back to him. He kills him and escapes on his own. He's desperate to find a way to protect himself, if Kabuto or the other members of Hebi find him they'll kill him, if Tobi finds him he'll kill him, if the kages find him... He finds Naruto instead.

Naruto and Sasuke fight in the Valley of the End. Sasuke wants to capture Naruto and hand him to whoever offers him protection. Naruto just wants to reach Sasuke and, by the end of their fight, he does. Sasuke returns with him to the village. They become team 7 with the hokage's student - Sakura (Sai is team Kakashi, but has his own job).

A team from the Sound comes after Sasuke and almost take him back, but a group from the Leaf (and help from the Sand, who owe them for their help) save him, proving to him that he's safe now, Naruto and his friends will keep Sasuke safe.

Kabuto convinces Tsunade to use her powers to bring Orochinaru back to life. Probably blackmailing her. Jiraya comes rescue her with Naruto and Sasuke. She gives Naruto the necklace as a thank you, and tells the boys about the founders!

Naruto and Sasuke learn to fight together, joining forces and when, Itachi and Kisame (the first two akatsukis who the boys ever had to face) show up in the village to take them, they are ready. They defeat the Akatsuki and prepare to fight Tobi himself when the time comes. But first they need to officially become chunin lol

Soon after there's a large scale attack against the Leaf village (pretend is Pein level of destruction here). The Sound and Sand seemed to have joined forces, konoha 13 have to work togethee to save everyone (they're all 16/17 now, Naruto with his sage mode, Sasuke with his summons and sharingans, Tsunade is trapped but Sakura has the byakugo and lady Katsuyu). Orochimaru is back, he actually killed the kazekage and manipulated the Sand, as a thank you he doesn't kill Tsunade - she didn't bring him back, but Kabuto still found a way to do it based on her abilities. (Konoha crush)

After all that Orochimaru wants revenge for what Sasuke did, he is not sick anymore and almost does get him, but team 7 saves him and together they finally kill Orochimaru! (forest of death) -> Gaara becomes the new kazekage -> konoha 13 are all promoted to new positions (chunin exams equivalent, but make them jonin and even anbu). -> At this point I almost forgot about Obito, but...

Team 7 is sent to the mist for a mission, to go after the other jinchuuriki they found out about, one that had been actually helping Obito. They pretend to be on a escorting mission and there they meet a pair of mercenaries :) the waves arc goes pretty similar, but with the addition of rescuing Yagura from Obito's manipulation. Finally defeating him since they slowly had been cutting off all of his supports - Kakashi finds out he *is* Obito and they have their dramatic fight. (Them fighting around the three tails ouch)

Haku and Zabuza actually turn to their side last minute and die teaching Naruto the same lesson that becomes his motivation to become hokage.

okay, guys:

Sakura having sensor skills is bs? Yes. Sort of. Yes in the sense of that novel.

Is being a sensor a Kekkei Genkai? No.

A sensor is a type of shinobi that is more sensitive to chakra signatures than regular shinobi, but every ninja has it as a basic skill as every one of them can perceive chakra (which is why many can sense danger approaching, more so if the attacker has immense reserves) and train such skill. The main difference between Sensors and non-sensors is the extent to which they can extend their sensitivity to chakra signatures (naturally, they are more alert to energies) and the fact that they can mould chakra and turn it to "sensory mode" to precisely detect foreign signatures, recognize the chakra of an individual, get information of the clan (if they previously know the family) and the nature of such individuals (if they are aggressive or not, their mood, and so on).

Yamakana, all of them, are sensors (they do seem to hone that skill to be able to sense further) and they use this exact "sensory mode" to use the Kanchi Denden (sensing transmission). Ino seems to be the best sensor in Konoha alive in Boruto.

Karin (and Mito?) have the Mind's Eye of the Kagura, which is a supreme form of sensing only present in some Uzumaki members, they can sense all chakra signatures within many kilometers as well as discern how many signatures there are, what type of being it belongs to and whether a specific individual is present. Sasuke chose Karin as his teammate for this exact reason, she's the best sensor alive in Boruto.

Tobirama and Minato seem to be very powerful sensors. Naruto, Hashirama, and likely Kabuto can sense chakra when in Sage Mode.

Hyüga, Inuzuka, and Aburame are not "sensors" in the strict term of the word, as they do not sense chakra signatures, Hyüga can see chakra, Inuzuka can smell individuals (not chakra as far as I'm aware of), and Aburame have their Kikaichus to perceive others.

The Sharingan can see chakra in far more detail than the Byakugan.

New herb system! In expanded mode, your medicine cats will gather herbs and treat illnesses and injuries, reducing lethality, duration, and potential risks. Information about your current herb stores, sick/injured cats, and a log of medicine cat activity can be found in the new medicine den, accessible via the medicine cat den label on the clan screen or the matching button on medicine cat's and injured/sick cat's profiles

Mediator role has been added! The mediator is an optional role. Once a moon, you can choose to "mediate" between two clanmates, increasing relationship values. Or, if you would rather sow discord, you can sabotage the relationship, lowering relationship values. Mediators also have a chance to visit other clans upon timeskip, affecting reputation values. Mediators can take apprentices, apprentices will only choose to become mediators if there is already a fully-trained mediator in the clan. In settings, you may allow warriors and elders to choose to become mediators upon timeskip.

New pelt patterns: Mackerel, Classic, Sokoke, Agouti, and SingleStripe

New White patches: Seal, mink, and sepia point.

New colors: Black has been renamed to ghost, and new black has been added.

Heterochromia is now possible with all eye colors.

New eye colors: Gray, Copper, Sage, Pale Yellow, Pale Blue, New Blue, Gold, Heather Blue, Cyan, Emerald, Sunlit Ice, and Green Yellow. Dark Blue and Hazel have been tweaked.

Tints! Cats can now be slightly tinted, to give some variety to cat colors. Tints do not affect white patches, scars, or eye color.

Could you talk about your Royal Academy DR? What are your classes? Do you live in a dorm-like situation? Did you have uniforms?

I’m a sucker for fantasy DRs and futuristic DRs; have you shifted to a futuristic or fantasy dr? If so, what were some of your favorite places in those DRs?

It gives me ✨️ super happy glimmers ✨️ to see more adult shifters interacting with my blog and also adding onto the conversation! Even if they're cringe-pinions, lol. I'm really grateful and touched that you took the time to check out this little sanctuary of mine and ask me about my DRs~

Lemme give you a breakdown of my Royal Academy DR. It's still in the process of being created/scripted/energetically-fed right now as a lot of my focus (lately) has been on my 🚩 all red flags vampire DR 🚩. And also a little bit on my Futuristic Space DR which is also in the same level of actualization as the Royal Academy DR. Annnd I'll even add in my favorite places even though I feel like I'm rambling too much, haha!

🌸 Royal Academy DR 🌸

▪︎ This DR is part of my seasonally-based DRs and embodies the spirit and feelings of a blooming spring. Part of the fun and novelty of my seasonal DRs is that I only visit this space when the corresponding season arrives in my CR. It keeps things fresh and exciting for me. But also, I'm very emotionally bound to the change of the seasons as a part of who I am...so my shifting reflects this.

▪︎ Every DR I make is rooted in something I want to explore about myself and my soul. My 🌸 Royal Academy 🌸 will be rooted in exploring my romantic and sexual identity as a person; something that's been denied to me for YEARS being locked in survival mode. As such, Royal Academy will be a heady, romantic whirlwind steeped deeply in Ouran Host Club & Utena Revolutionary Girl and Winx Club (the original cartoon) vibes.

▪︎ My Royal Academy is aged up. It's more like a college than a high school and offers courses in the magic of Love. Technically, all the students at my Royal Academy are training to be cupids, gods, goddesses, or spirit sages of romance, love, friendship, (this includes strictly platonic friendships as I think love shouldn't be stripped to strictly sexual or romantic connections) and devotion. Some students are children of deities while others are demi-gods or witches or supernatural beings or even just plain normal people who showed great potential.

▪︎ While unnamed still, the aesthetic of my Royal Academy is a huge gold, white, and crystal palace city floating on a series of islands in the sky. It is always spring here. Flowers are eternally in bloom. It is May 1st forever at the Royal Academy. There's also infinite fields of clover, crystal clear lakes, mystic water falls, rainbow bridges, and secret areas only accessible by flying on wings (one of the first lessons you learn in 1st Year of my Royal Academy is using the power of your heart to fly) or airship or if you have a unicorn or pegasus or rainbow bridge handy. The dorm rooms are housed according to which year of study you're in. But some students have private abodes because their family paid off the Academy to give them special accommodations. 🤣

▪︎ Uniforms are strictly enforced except for holidays (where traditional or celebratory garb is permitted according to a student's cultural beliefs) spirit week, & graduation week for 5th years who have mastered the arts of Love & are now ready to tackle the multiverse with a firm grasp of their heart. Some students never make it to fifth year, though, as the coursework is...intense. But 5th year is not required to achieve success in my Royal Academy. All students signed up in classes can stay & study for however long they want, & learn at their own pace. Accommodations are given to any student here that needs it.

▪︎ Getting back to uniforms, students ARE encouraged to use their heart to decorate and customize it to fit their aesthetic. This Academy cherishes art, beauty, passion, & creativity. As long as you are wearing your Uniform and I.D. badge, the rules are very malleable.

▪︎ I haven't officially enrolled and explored in this DR (yet) but I plan to shift next year around this time and begin my adventure there. For now, the DR is incubating in my creative subconscious. But I'm really very excited to go there and learn!

🌌 Galactic Federation DR 🌌

▪︎ Another DR that's still being churned in my mind. This place will serve as a sort of hub world for all my other DRs. What do I mean by "hub world"? Well, it'll be a place where people and entities I meet in all my other DRs can come to & kick back, have a drink at the space bar, and enjoy games in the holodeck. Basically like Star Trek only there's no sense of impending danger like there is in my 🚩 🚩 red flags only vampire DR 🚩🚩 and the challenges I face inside the summer, winter, and autumn worlds. Especially fucking winter. Shit. That place is like, "Heyyyyy buddy. Do you wanna get really chill with all the shadow work you've been putting off??? You're about to get so chill about it right now." But back to the point, I feel like having low-stakes Hub to kick back and savor little moments & side quests with the DR people I love (instead of always being in advance-the-scenarios mode) allows me to get to know my s/o's and friends in DRs better and relieves the stress I experience when there's higher stakes involved.

▪︎ All my DRs are actually bound to rings that I wear around my neck in my CR. The space DR is bound to an epoxy ring that holds a piece of iron meteorite inside of it so that I always have a bit of space on me. No matter where I'm at. DR or CR. Pretty sure my Galactic Federation DR is gonna look a lot like the donut-shaped space station in Deep Space 9 in Star Trek but I'm not certain yet. While my space station can technically move around the Universe, I think I'll probably keep it docked where it is for awhile before moving it to any sort of other sector of the galaxy/ies.

Other, futuristic places that I've gone to...

▪︎ I had a very intense experience in my winter-themed DR where I time traveled to a future version of myself in order to look at & confront my own generational trauma cycles and do battle with the "demon" that presides over them in order to release my energy from the control they have over me in my CR and cement that I am the God of my reality. While some out there can just affirm that easily (then go on their way) I decided to crack open the hood of my inner darkness and manually tinker with each and every piece that created it last winter. Because I needed to see it up close to really understand it and let it go.

▪︎ In that future self, I was drinking at an ocean-themed neon nightclub in a futuristic world made completely out of plastic and enjoying all the weird, colorful cocktails at the bar. The place was called Club O. It looked like a giant blue glass tower shaped like a 〰️ that speared a pirate's ship being consumed by a coral pink octopus 🐙 kraken. The tentacles the kraken had moved on their own, and the suckers were made of LED lights that lit up the entire establishment. The tentacles also held huge glass bubbles 🫧 that were different parts of Club O that you could access with a keycard...given that you had the permissions to. Those were more private parts of the club while the main stage was housed in the pirate ship. If any of you shifters ever get to go there, I recommend you try the Monterran Sunset and the Neptune's Swill. Both drinks are a favorite of mine. ❤️

🌈 Favorite Places! 🌈

▪︎ Yunan Sect: It's a place inside my Summer-themed DR (Called Seven Blessings Mountain) where I am being trained by Taoist Sages to learn how to use energy, meditation practices, and harmonizing with nature to unlock my inner immortality. Also a lot of martial combat. It has some crossover themes with Royal Academy but this place served, originally, as a space to talk to my spirit's inner guides and ascended masters. Which happen to be Taoist in philosophy and nature. Yunan Sect is a training community housed in the thick bamboo jungles of a mountain with a lake on top of it and hidden within mist and clouds. The buildings are built on platforms on top of the water and lotuses are always in bloom there. At night, you can see so many stars just...so clearly. Also there are dragons & sacred beasts roaming around. Currently I am training with my Big Dipper Demon Be Gone Fuck Off jade sword to defeat a bad spirit who lives on the mountain as my 1st test of strength. Also one of the students there doesn't like me because he thinks my sword strokes are unrefined and I sing while I meditate instead of being perfectly still like him. 🙄

Edelnatch: Ever seen the movie Halloween Town? Or the show Over The Garden Wall? Imagine you smashed those two shows together and added in a lot of pumpkin spice and spookiness. This is the town of Edelnatch. It is positioned in an eternally autumn forest with giant mushrooms on the banks of a rushing river. The town houses MANY mysteries and has a sort of Hilda (another good show) theme to it in that my job is being the town's Spirit Tender. I make sure that the spirits of the Autumn forest are happy so the town of Edelnatch can thrive and be at peace. Currently it is not at peace and my task is to locate a giant angry Oak tree who one of the town's clan pissed off. Because someone (not naming names it was the Boar Clan) was a cheapskate with their offerings most likely. The writing here is in a language that's like...old high German. I am constantly having to look up stuff online in my CR to translate a word I saw or heard someone say in it.

10. Blank Period Naruto

he looks like a dork and a fed, this is what heterosexuality does to a mfer.

luckily he didnt look like this in real life, his face was still pretty round and his hair was longer. he did wear a jacket like that but with an orange uzushio shirt underneath, and orange and blue track pants like obito's.

9. The Last Naruto

he looks like hes in basic training. hate it. once again his face didnt look like that and his hair is stupid. naruto has never been one for fashion but he wouldnt dress like someone's dad at age 19, cmon now. its only slightly better than the blank period one because the scarf is a cute callback to his childhood.

8. Boruto Naruto

the outfit is fine. the haircut is awful. i like that we have matching capes. the face looks more like him than the others did. this one ranks higher than the others because of the dilf appeal but thats really all that redeems it. this scene too.

7. The Naruto that Loved me

after we lost our arms but before we got the implants. we spent a lot of time together before i left, so the manga/anime version of us feels very cold. he also wore a yukata during this time, not pants and a shirt. he said it was more comfortable that way. this is where they get closer to representing naruto as he is, so it ranks higher than the others even though im not too much of a fan.

6. Genin Naruto

hold your shocked gasps until the end. this is the version of naruto i had the most conflict with, it's probably the most painful and distant our relationship has ever been. even when we were apart as teenagers, i felt at peace with how i felt about him compared to this time period. it's just marked with fear, his obliviousness and his own problems with me and himself. but he was still mostly cute and soft here so it ranks high.

5. Enter, Naruto

the naruto you see at the start of the series. i kissed this naruto so there's sentimental value in him. but again, he really hated me and even though i thought it was funny i probably would've just preferred he didnt. the goggles are lame also.

4. Newborn Naruto

adorable and pure. i cried the moment he was born because i knew my life had changed. i want to protect him. he is my dream.

3. Naruto, the village Troublemaker

the naruto that started it all. a total dickhead. the birth of usuratonkachi. but somehow also always bringing me the peace i needed during the worst time of my life. the only reason hes here instead of 2 is because 2 was slightly cuter, but i wish i had been able to hold this version of him too.

2. Naruto, the village Pariah

i cannot understand how anyone can look at this cherub and push him around, pour water on him, scream, hit, and curse at him. he was somehow even purer than how he was as a newborn despite all the horrors he experienced as a child. the manga doesnt go into detail, the anime is more true to life but still doesnt even scratch the surface. there are still things i find out from him now that we're adults. this was the first time i saw him (except he was wearing a scarf then), and everything happened in a flash. the seed was planted in my heart.

Naruto, my hero

this is the naruto i fell in love with the moment i saw him. it's the naruto that blooms into everything he didnt exactly know he wanted, but what he did know he needed. when naruto and i die, this is probably the time period our souls will be stuck in. what else can i say about him? its the naruto who struggles the most, succeeds the most, hurts the most, hurts others the most, but we love the most because he is so human. and it gave us sage mode, which is super hot. and the general mesh shirt/half-naked beach babe vibe he gives off for a bit is also great for the eye. the naruto he is now is just a continuation of this one.

'Boruto' series re-envisioned

tw. opinions (and the wording is all over a mess so read at your own risk), plot-bashing (is that even a thing?)

[This is my opinion on what Boruto, as a sequel to one of the greatest Shounen franchises should have been. Remember, this is entirely my wishful thinking and I don't mean to disrespect any of the writers, animators or the fandom.]

Boruto, as an MC, had immense potential. This point has been chanted to the ground but it is true. He is a third gen Uzumaki and second gen Hyūga. And we all know Uzumaki have monstrous chakra reserves. What he needed was to work hard for it. Where was the training arc?

Think about it. We never got much backstrory about the Uzumaki clan and what their motives and morals were. It would have been cool to see another character use the chakra chains (beside Kushina and Karin). He could have explored Uzushio, the plot could've called for contacting the remaining Uzumaki who supposedly scattered all over the globe.

Maybe Boruto could have worked with seals? Minato, his grandpa, is known as one of the greatest seal masters. If the writers were going for symbolism, why not use that?

Same goes for his Hyūga lineage. We get so much info about the Uchiha in Naruto, it could have been refreshing to see the Boruto lore delve into the Hyūga faction, which isarguably the third (or even the second, not counting the Senju) strongest clan in Konoha.

Think of all the jutsu Boruto could have had in his arsanel with a Byakugan. It's hightime they get the deserved recognition.

Coming to another member of Team 7, Mitsuki is a clever character idea but ultimately wasted postential as well.

If the power scaling continues to get upped in the pace as it is now, there will be nothing left for the Time Skip. Shippuden gave us Sage Mode but Mitsuki already has that. Viewers will look for something new and we all know even Kishimoto wrote himself up a wall with Rinnegan and the Otsutsuki race. What will Ikemoto give then?

Speaking of Otsutsuki, it was sort of dissapointing to see them getting introduced this fast. Some will say Boruto is slow paced and yes, I agree, but in terms of keeping that air of anonymity, it fails terribly.

It would have worked better if instead of Momoshiki landing like a bug out a tree, they got clues and rumors instead.

The whole Code and Kara situation should've been handled first and then led to the reveal of an Otsutsuki nest, perhaps?

Or a portal like the one in Last to a mirror dimension or somthing where the Otsutsuki live? Maybe a dive into how they came to be? It is revealed that humans are an entirely different race and what we see of the Naruto cast are a mix between Otsutsuki and humans.

Also, WHERE IS THE BACKSTORY? Same thing with Hyūgas really. The Hamura thing came out of nowhere. The Last is a below average excuse to tie up loose ends.

Now, Kawaki, I have a love-hate relationship with him. On one hand his backstory provides the perfect intro to post-war tragedies (and a hc of mine that smaller villages in the outskirts still get ignored in favour of the capitals)

But he just feels like a dollar-store Sasuke. As if the writers were like, oh Boruto needs a rival? Add in an angsty guy to contrast his sunny demeanor. I know this is a recurring trope in shounen but it works because it is handled well.

And people say Boruto is handed everything on a silver platter? Kawaki basically lives with the freaking Head of the Village, the elite of the elites, is looked after by the former heir to the Hyūga and gets to be a genin because he has a cool explody power? And all that why? Because he is a mistreated orphan? (what about the kids who lost their parents in the war? what about aforementioned kids in small-sized villages? what about cases like sumire? what makes Kawaki SPECIAL, naruto?)

Kawaki shouldn't have been given any of those benifits. Let him figure out how the world works, let him make mistakes, show his potential as a good guy, let him prove himself as a character worth stanning. Give him a serious politics-based arc explaining that part of the Boruto era rather than some murderers chasing a boy with some magical cure.

Coming to the side characters (yes, I'm saving Sarada for later and there is a reason behind it), let's start with Shikadai. First thought, he is the most carbon-copied version of his dad out of every next gen character.

It's no news that scenarios and often characters revered as prodigies are dumbed down to make him shine but imo most of it is owed to the factor that there is no element of suspense or an ultimatum for that matter.

Kakashi, Minato, Itachi, Orochimaru, Shisui worked as prodigal characters because of the situation. It was war time and kids were forced to grow up. The stakes were high and even then, the plot revolving around them was such that it made them raise the bar higher.

Shikadai seems flat compared to many characters. Remember, Shikamaru was not called a prodigy, he even flunked tests because he was too lazy, but whenever the situation was tense, us viewers could count on his snippets of thoughts for a clarification, or little behaviors to show he realized and often times refused to work for what is right over what is needed because that is smartness, taking a level-headed decision with the least collateral.

On the other hand, Shikadai is fed information and he just 'explains' stuff like a NPC.

I can't help but think, what if Shikadai inherited Temari's temper? Mix that with Shikamaru's actual genius (not the baby puzzle-solving we see in that one arc with Kakashi) and he could be one of the team members to look for clue about the Otsutsuki's existence. Also, I'd like more windstyle-user Shikadai plz.

Moving on to Inojin. He is also one of those characters that I neither like nor dislike. He's just... there.

What Boruto needs is better world-building and ain't no better way to accomplish that than exploring side characters. Inojin doesn't have an affinity for the Yamanaka mind-body-switch so make him train for other stuff.

Let viewers know where jutsu like that stems from (yin and yang release), give him some productive time with the border patrol, stress on the fact that Konoha's citizen don't go to sleep at peace just knowing Naruto will pull some god-level jutsu.

The Yamanaka are an extremely important part of the security system. Remember how Inoichi was part of the team figuring out Pain's black chakra recievers? Make Inojin do something similar with, perhaps some Otsutsuki relic or remains (going with the mystery au)

Then comes Chocho. How to put it simply? At first I despised her. And no, it has nothing to do with her appearance. Actually, I find her and that new girl from the recent Labyrinth Game arc, Batta, amazing.

The fact lies with her attitude. Tell me one attribute that comes to mind while thinking of her other than Butterfly mode and eating chips. Sure, she loves to eat, we get it. The fact again boils down to her falling flat as a character.

Chocho could use her lightning release in many ways and it must be strong too, considering her mother comes from Kiri. She could have earth-release, that would be great to see as none of the main cast prior to this have that.

And if they are going for a Ino-like character, let the girl have some reality to her. A twelve-year old girl is far mature and has other troubles than just thinking about cute boys and girls.

She can retain that aspect but make her serious when it comes to missions, or her family, show her spending time partaking in her hobbies that do not include eating, ogling at movie stars and muttering un-funny jokes and inuendos. Give her depth, for a lack of better words.

And for Hagoromo's sake, LET THESE KIDS HAVE SOME SORT OF GOAL and not just exist because their parents hooked up smh.

Last but not least, Sarada. I, like many others, really like her character. She isn't yet another girl who despises anything remotely 'girly' and is not afraid to show her emotions and voice her thoughts loud and clear. She is practical and relatively smart without being an overkill.

What bugs me is her very existence.

No, I do not want to get roped into a 'sasusaku : good or bad' debate but they just don't make sense to me. And this is coming from someone whose first anime ship as a ten-year-old was sasusaku.

In any case, Naruto (not citing the last few chapters) made it clear that Sasuke did not see Sakura nor Karin as a romantic interest. And honestly, I still am onboard with him being an aro ace because, hello representation!

And whatever happened behind the scenes post The Last are only headcanons, so the idea of Sasuke suddenly marrying Sakura seems a stretch to me. Let alone him having a kid who he suddenly cares so much about after ignoring her for twelve years...(coming to the problem of 'as to why he did that anyway' later)

Sarada, in my opinion, should not exist.

Like, okay, Naruto has a kid but why should Sasuke as well because of that? PTSD is a thing and we are repeatedly shown that Sasuke has grown a fear of familial bonds due to obvious reasons.

If we calculate their ages, the new gen was born sometime when they were 20-23 y/o. Yeah, I'm willing to bet Sasuke did not get past that nagging anxiety of eighteen years in just three or four.

If they wanted to make Sasuke the mysterious sensei figure who is rarely in town and is always going in these crazy amazing solo missions, don't make him a deadbeat dad. Come onnn...

Canon!Sasuke would never just abandon his wife and child for the sake of the village that ruined his family (again, trust issues), the village that he saw ab*sing a child because of something out of his control (who's to say Sarada was not picked on and scrutinized because she is a former nuke-nin's kid and an Uchiha like Naruto was due to Kurama?)

Instead, Sasuke should have just been a traveller. He should still be wandering the nations to find his way in life, being someone beyond an Uchiha and escaping the burden that was placed on his shoulders at a very young age.

You know how I keep mentioning the small villages that probably get ignored? Show him helping them, him cleaning up traces of corrupted organizations like in the last few episodes of the anime.

Show his kinder, softer side in a believable way (not the comic relief that Boruto provides), show us him seeing the beauty in life and finding a reason to live.

The Sasuke we see now just feels like an empty shell. I remember seeing a post the other day saying that he showed genuine emotions in Shippuden but now he looks like he has lost all motivation to even stay alive. And he was definitely guilt-tripped into returning to Konoha.

Yes, that would mean Sakura would remain either unmarried or marry some no-name character. Though, that seems unlikely as her pining over Sasuke eliminated all chance of relationship progress with any other character.

It would be refreshing to see her let go of her childhood crush and just moving on, leaving behind the last link to a Sakura she did not accept, the one she changed. I don't mind having an episode dedicated to them having a heart-to-heart as good old pals, all romantic feelings aside.

Maybe on that bench too, if you get what I mean. It would show us how far they have come, as shinobi, as Konoha's ninja and as people, from naïve kids to being the village's pillars.

Now, as to what the overall plot of Boruto should be, I have this idea of the war still going on when Naruto ends. Just hear me out.

If Ikemoto wants to resolve the Otsutsuki matters in this series, why not begin it with an intense fight scene where the generations following the main cast (Konohamaru and the rest) are fighting some low rank entities who serve the Otsutsuki.

It could lead to multiple of these strange class of aliens attacking from portals like ones the Rinnegan creates and base the entire series as a survival genre. Not only would that raise the stakes from being a one-episode conflict resolve, as it is now, it would mean the generation in the middle would become hardened veterans who the kids could look up to, not cannon fodder.

Make the prior war times return, but this time with an unknown race altogether. Make rifts between the Alliance, comment on how that affects the social and economical standings of various nations, involve the Daimyo.

Naruto can still be the all-powerful Hokage but make the rest of the caste equally useful.

Another idea that just popped up while writing this: what if they made mosters like in the Worm series appear? That threaten the world and some villages are forced to break the truce as they believe some ancient jutsu caused these attacks but cannot figure out from which nation.

Not even jutsu, it can be scientific modelling too since the Boruto era are scientifically far advanced.

Maybe I'm just reaching but with the huge power scaling like they have done, the stakes actually need to be high. Or else, every situation that they come across, we know they will get through it because of high rank jutsu they possess.

And for the last issue, just 'Boruto'. As in, the name. I'm aware it is supposed to be an homage to Neji but it feels so rip-off. There are so many good ones like : Hiro(for its irony as he is to be a hero and it starts with 'H'), Akihiro (personal favorite, means bright), Kaito (means ocean, an homage to the land of whirlpools), Asahi (mirror's Hinata's name meaning which is sun), Shinya (genuine, personal favorite), etc. etc.

Gosh looks like today needs more Kakashi positivity

Kakashi's first lesson to his students is 'fuck the rules if your friends are in danger/need your help

Kakashi actively wins multiple fights on his own and even holds his own against Kakuzu and Hidan without using the MS. Cannonly (Manga only) Kakashi wins against Zabuza (twice), the seven deadly swordsmen, multiple enemies in the war arc. Kakashi is also portrayed as more of a leader than a direct fighter, excelling most when he can lead a team to victory (like in the Kaguya fight).

Obito's eye is a GIFT to him. It doesn't matter if he 'shouldn't have it' or any other reason people come up with for him being crap for using it. He is the only character we see with a Sharingan (that is none Uchiha or even Uchiha in the vast majority of cases) who was 100% gifted the eye and told to use it. He uses it to honor the memory of a friend he lost.

Kakashi is the only character we see actively stand up to the system from inside the system. He's the one who stands up to Danzo to save Yamato. He's the one who turns his back on the 'New Hokage' (Danzo) and takes Naruto out of the village during a time when ALL shinobi are supposed to be restricted to inside of the village. He's the one who ignores Hiruzen's order's and plan in order to go save Yamato. He turns his back on Tsunade giving him an S-Ranked missiong to go after two of his students.

Kakashi taught each of his students something in the short amount of time we actually got to see him in teaching mode. He helps Sasuke improve his taijutsu so much that Gai is impressed by his improvements in the short span of a month. He teaches Sasuke his Chidori. He teaches Sakura the Qi release. He teaches Naruto how to make use of his shadow clones to learn faster (something Naruto uses both to create his rasenshuriken in such a short span of time and which he again uses later to learn sage mode.). That's not even touching on the obvious moments of teaching them about teamwork and chakra control (with the tree climbing)

Kakashi cared about all of his students. When he saw Itachi he assumed he was there for Sasuke, and when he found out he was there for Naruto he was just as ready to fight to protect his students. He carries Naruto on his back after he exhausted himself and gives Naruto a head pat. Seeing a bit of himself in Sasuke does not mean he ignored any of his students. While other teachers were hyper-focused on one student, Kakashi at least recognized he was only one person and when he needed to hyper-focus on Sasuke he still made sure that Naruto had someone to train him in chakra control as that was his weakest point.

Kakashi is the Hokage that made genuine changes to the system. He's the one who made a no-kill order for the shinobi of Konoha. He's the one who redirected Konoha's system away from shinobi toward a more economic system. It was during his reign that Konoha became an economic giant and grew exponentially in size.

Kakashi also became stronger after losing the Sharingan. The Sharingan was a gift from Obito that directly hurt him because he didn't have any magical fixes to keep him from getting chakra exhausted. the chakra was constantly being drained from him by the Sharingan, making him chronically fatigued just by existing with Obito's gift.

Kakashi's purple lightning is a stronger move than his chidori and does not require the sharingan. He's also capable of turning pieces of his mud wall jutsu to glass to deflect electricity before returning it to mud so that it is not left as an extremely fragile material that would shatter under most other attacks. this is a feat that was thought to be impossible even by the person who originally suggested it.

His chakra pool is so much bigger that he held a mud wall for three days and released it when he was ready to go on the attack

he defeated 50 jonin rank missing nin shinobi with a frying pan and some really well-used genjutsu

he's always learning and growing. Kakashi in OG Naruto was one of Konoha's strongest ninja and he STILL trained to get stronger after Naruto left because he knew he needed to. The same Kakashi who made the mistake of looking directly into Itachi's eye in their first fight then turned around and tricked Itachi into wasting a MS move on a shadow clone.

Sasuke Worked Harder Than Naruto

It's funny that people say that Naruto trained harder than Sasuke and that he gets a power boost a lot are really biased since their precious 'Naruto-kun' had a dramatic backstory and like Sasuke never had one, despite him having a worse one if you really think about it.

Sasuke trained his ass off when he was a kid, to him practicing throwing a Kunai, learning a Fire Style Jutsu, trying his hardest to master his chakra control, learning the Chidori, learning how to change his chakra nature, to him learning a lot techinques to kill Itachi like the Kirin, learning to use a sword, learning to how to actually fight and plan during and after a fight like against Deidara when he fully counters him during the fight. Sure I understand that he got the Mangekyou Sharingan and then the EMS, but at the same time, those were mainly his blood line jutsu and he got them around a 100 episode time span.

Naruto on the other hand does train, but nowhere near as Sasuke, sure he learned the Rasengan, one of the most hardest to learn jutsus in Naruto, but other than learning how to walk on trees and water, not to mention to change his chakra nature to wind, one of the 5 elements and Sage Jutsu, but that's about it. If we were honest, almost all of his major fights he won, was because of Kurama and his chakra.

Against Haku? Kurama.

Against Neji? Kurama.

Against Gaara? This time no Kurama, but he had to use Gamabunta.

Against Sasuke, sure he lost, but he did go toe to toe with him? Kurama.

Against Pain? Kurama.

Without him, he would've lost so many of his fights it wouldn't be even funny.

Plus, Naruto, in the span of 100 and more episodes, got Kurama Chakra Mode 1, then 2, Ashura mode and then Kurama Chakra Mode with the Sage Jutsu.

And you guys say that Sasuke worked less????

Jiraiya Trained Teamed Seven is sticking in my brain in the best way! like would they all eventually get sage mode? do they all end up summoning frogs, but having a secondary summon too? Like Sasuke's hawks, maybe Naruto gets foxes and Sakura gets... Salamanders??? I don't Know! Also Team 7 Flirt-fight where they each try to flirt successfully with as many of the Konoha 12 as Possible, because Jiraiya may have taught those brats a bit TOO well :P

The Jiraya trio might just be my favorite, for how *free* I imagine them. And these questions are perfect actually~

Sakura and Naruto learn senjutsu, Sasuke gets the basics but never goes to far into it and chooses to learn more about sharingan tecniques.

They do all sign the toad summon contract and I like to believe they'd each get a frog who favors them and usually pair ups. Maybe Gamakichi for Naruto and Gamatatsu for Sakura, since Sasuke is the first to start with summonings he'd leave the two with them for communication and stuff... Then he's team up with Gamabunta :9

For other summons I thought exactly the same, for Sasuke to get his other original ones (maybe even snakes? Or sign a contract with lady Katsuyu for emergencies), and then Naruto with foxes!!! Yes!! But Sakura hehehe she goes back to their roots and gets DOG SUMMONS! (bringing back her little pack with Momo, Pumpkin and Umeboshi!)

Sakura flirting around was already a beautiful concept, and Sasuke flirting around is hilarious straight out of road to ninja... All of them flirting around and with the other konoha teams (and suna and anyone really) LOVE IT. Bisexual menace team 7! Add Sai to the mix and the 4 will have amazing tine bonding over trying to teach him to also flirt and put his good looks to use!
