Danganronpa trans things✨🏳️‍⚧️

Just a series of headcanon’s based on the characters I’ve decided are trans from this game. All the characters I headcanon as some form of genderqueer and what the specific headcanon is, is listed here

Hina walked in on Byakuya trying on a skirt one time. Byakuya yelled at her to get out and threatened her to keep her mouth shut. To their surprise though, she was really chill about it and asked if they wanted to borrow any of her skirts or dresses and even asked if they wanted her to do their makeup or anything like that. Byakuya came out to her that day and while Hina didn’t fully understand due to a lack of knowledge on the non-binary community, she was still supportive and came out in turn as a trans girl

Gundham wears trans tape and Kazuichi wears brightly coloured neon binders. Fuyuhiko wears plain black binders and generally doesn’t bind safely, Peko having to talk him into being more careful

Peko and Fuyuhiko chose each others new names

On bad dysphoria days, Taka will do everything in his power to make Mondo feel better and affirmed in his gender identity. This usually involves him telling Mondo how strong he thinks he is or complimenting him on his muscles or jawline etc. At first, bad dysphoria days were hard to spot but the longer they are together for, the easier it becomes for Taka to spot the warning signs and he will go into full on supportive boyfriend mode

Sonia gets so excited when she finds out that Gundham is also trans or, as he put it, “like you, this vessel I inhabit is not reflective of my true character and soul.”

Kokichi loves wearing skirts because A, they’re fun and swishy. And B, it pisses transphobes off that he can be ftm and still dress femme and he thinks annoying bigots is funny. While Shuichi doesn’t fully understand as he’s also trans ftm and gets really dysphoric in traditionally femme clothes, he’s still super supportive of how Kokichi presents himself and they always stick up for each other if anyone tries to make any comments

When Kaede and Shuichi came out to each other as bi and trans, it was literally just the pointing Spider-Man meme

Byakuya: Kyoko, you should know I’m non-binary. Kyoko: yeah I know. Me too. What pronouns? Also, wanna watch that new serial killer documentary?

Gonta will call Celeste “lady Celeste” or “pretty lady” and her soul just lights up every time

Nagito realised he likes it/it’s pronouns because someone was trying to bully them by calling him an “it” and it realised right away that he vibed with that

Fuyuhiko will ask Peko or Chiaki to go and buy him pads when he’s on his period because buying them himself gives him a lot of dysphoria. However, it gives the two trans queens in his life a lot of gender euphoria to buy them so it’s a win-win scenario

dumb bitch idea

so i hc that Shuichi only knows how to drive a motorcycle, but Kokichi is pretty decent at driving a normal car. what if Kokichi tried teaching Shuichi how to drive a normal car one day?

the way cars are in size, mobility, and steering is wildly different than a motorcycle, and god knows Shuichi would struggle hard. i can just imagine Kokichi in the passanger seat, holding on for dear life and praying Shuichi doesn't fucking total his car trying to figure out how to turn a corner. Kokichi realizes he's turned into one of those stereotypical moms teaching their kids to drive from those teen comedy shows as he yelps when Shuichi breaks a little to hard. his mom never did that to him when he learned, but also he wasn't this fucking scary.

bonus points if part of the reason Shuichi is so terrifying behind the wheel is because, while he can drive a motorcycle- he's one fo those driver that make you wonder how they haven't gotten into an accident yet as they pass you...... iiiii may or may not like speed demon Shuichi alot....

Ves: saw something that made me wonder, so- how modest do you guys think saiou are? like, how covered up do they have to be to feel comfortable?

Me: as many of my thoughts, this started with unseeliekey's writing, namely "you've got the right to remain right here with me" where Saihara was described as "never-nude" that sleeps in full pyjamas, and usually will be buttoned up to the collar in his shirts, if he's feeling a little bold then he'll wear something tight rather than revealing and he's showing leg all the way & dying from heatstroke before he considers showing his chest even once he's post-op and only has the scars to hide meanwhile Kokichi does his best to act like he has no shame, if he has any insecurities then you can't tell from looking at him, he has multiple pairs of booty shorts with cursed texts, he's frequently at the pool, he sleeps just in his boxers (and baggy shirt when it's colder), crop tops in summer and unafraid to pull his shirt off entirely during the heatwave, his company will have to deal with this ( he's happiest when he's bundled up tho, he's insecure about showing his stomach, wondering if people see him as frail despite the lean muscle he has from swimming & parkour, with layers and bold colours he can visually seem as having more mass, be bigger than life, and he's comfy, no more gay little waist once summer is over)

shuichi was late to breakfast. shuichi is never late to breakfast. “he probably slept in.” kaito says, shrugging his shoulders. “god knows he deserves it, he’ll be here in no time!”

“What if he’s dead?” Kokichi responds playfully from across the table.

Kaito gives him a glare. “Don’t joke around about that shit! Shuichi’s fine. He wouldn’t get killed just like that!” he yells back, irritation fulling his voice.

“As much as i hate to say it, Kokichi’s right. We are in a killing game so it is a risk,” Kaede explained hesitantly. She turns to look over to Kaito, “Wouldn’t it be best to check on him?”

“See!! A supreme leader is always right about this stuff, Kaito! Even the dumb blonde thinks so!” he said, practically sparkling. “Since you’re all soooo busy i’ll do you all the favor of checking up on our dearest detective, kay?” he says before standing up abruptly and running off.

“WAIT-” The doors slam shut.

“..it’ll be fine.” kaede says. “probably.”

He walks outside of the school and down to the dorms, no real rush. ‘he probably is sleeping.. oh well.’ he smirks to himself as he grabs out his lock pick. Crouching down to his knees, he starts fiddling with the door lock.

After a bit of prodding he hears a small click come from the door.

Bingo.

He turns the handle and pushes open the door, stepping inside before closing it shut.

What he expected to see was a shuichi still in bed, sleeping peacefully. Maybe his head was under the pillow so he didn’t hear the alarm. Or maybe he heard the alarm and just didn’t get out of bed. Something along those lines.

What he didn’t expect was a completely empty room, with shuichi no where to be found.

Huh.

The sound of water running could be heard throughout the room, as well as a soft angelic voice humming a melody Kokichi couldn’t recognize. It was oddly beautiful.. Listen, he wasn’t often moved by music and such but even he had to admit it was pretty.

Interested, he walked over to shuichis bed and sat down. The singing continued; the voice echoed from wall to wall, vibrating off every surface. A range from high to lows, long notes to short notes. It was entrancing. His breathing slowed, his mind calm, as he let himself fall victim to the song radiating from behind the bathroom door. 2 minutes turned into 6 minutes turned into 10 before he finally heard the sound of the faucet turn off. The humming still continued, now louder then before, not being covered by the sound of water. The door knob turned and Shuichi walked out, a towel around his waist and his hair still damp.

“i didn’t know you could sing.” he said.

“AHH!” he screamed, his feet staggering back in shock. “K-Kokichi?? Why are you in my room?!”

“Well, i was going to kill you while you were sleeping but turns out i missed my shot.” he sighed. “Also you were late to breakfast.”

“Shit, i must have lost track of time..” he mumbles to himself. “..How long have you been in here?”

“About 10 minutes.”

“O-Oh..” his face turns red with embarrassment.

“Don’t worry i didn’t go through too much of your stuff!!” he exclaims. “Just went through your secret drawer full of sex toys! Wow Shuichi, i didn’t know you were such a perv!”

“what?? i don’t have- ugh nevermind. Just, can you let me get dressed?” he pinched the bridge of his nose, he can already feel a headache coming on.

I have this head canon where Shuichi is the same as he is in the game with everybody but Kokichi but if anybody hurts Kokichi, He won't hesitate to hurt them. Unless it's a playful way, like Moca (Kokichi's brother in my au) and Koki play fighting- He won't care unless he purposely hurts him. I don't know why I just think protective Shuichi is cute. Of course, Kokichi always says he doesn't need his protection and can protect himself but Shuichi doesn't listen.
