"This seems fair... at least, in my opinion," Sakura remarked as she gently set Sarada down on the floor.
Sasuke, still in his place, chimed in, "It looked even enough to me."
Sakura moved seven feet away from Sarada, while Sasuke positioned himself fourteen feet from her, making Sarada their midpoint. An equal seven feet away from the both of them. The nine-month-old Sarada looked back and forth between her parents, her confusion etched across her face.
"Should we use coaxing or not?" Sakura asked, seeking Sasuke's input.
Sasuke replied confidently, "It won't make a difference."
“Alright then let’s begin,” Sakura took a deep breath and then exclaimed loudly, “COME TO MAMA, BABY!" She gestured for Sarada to come to her, capturing the full attention of their curious child.
Sasuke protested with feigned innocence, "Hey, that's not fair."
Sakura chuckled, her eyes gleaming mischievously. "Unfair? But you said it wouldn't matter," she teased. "Besides, it's only natural for Sarada to be drawn to her loving mother." She said with her arms out stretched to Sarada.
Sasuke tilted his head and inquired, "What about her loving father?"
Sarada, captivated by her mother's call, began crawling towards Sakura, who cheered her on. "OH, LOOK AT YOU, SARADA! YOU'RE SUCH A GOOD GIRL!"
Sasuke continued his coaxing, adopting a gentler tone. “Wait no, come on, Sarada," he called out, smiling warmly. "Papa's right here. Come to Papa." Sasuke persisted in coaxing Sarada, his voice filled with adoration. "Come on, Sarada. Papa loves you. Come to Papa," he encouraged, reaching out his hand towards her.
"Mama loves you too!" Sakura exclaimed, gently tapping the floor to regain Sarada's attention. “So you should come to me!”
Sasuke intensified his efforts. "Sarada, look at Papa. I love you," he said, his voice tender and full of affection.
Caught in the loving competition between her parents, Sarada wiggled and squirmed, torn between two sources of affection. She couldn't resist the playful contest and the overwhelming love from both sides.
Pouting playfully, Sakura pretended to be sad. "Oh, Sarada, don't you want to come to Mama? But oh look! I have your favorite toy right here," she said, revealing a colorful rattle hidden in her pocket. She began shaking it around to get Sarada’s attention
Sasuke, not one to back down, picked up a small stuffed animal and held it up for Sarada to see. "Look, Sarada. Papa brought you a little friend. Come to Papa and your friendQ,” he coaxed.
Sarada's eyes darted between the rattle and the stuffed animal, her tiny brow furrowing in concentration. She let out a giggle, clearly enjoying the attention. Then, she turned away from Sakura and began crawling toward Sasuke.
"Yes! That’s it! Come on!" Sasuke cheered, encouraging Sarada to reach him. However, surprisingly, Sarada stopped in the middle and began tapping the floor, giggling.
“No wait come to Mama, Sarada!" Sakura urged.
"No, Sarada, come to Papa! You’re halfway there!” Sasuke countered.
Sarada sat between them, giggling uncontrollably. She stretched her tiny arms toward both of them and babbled, "Mama! Papa!"
Without hesitation, Sakura and Sasuke moved in sync, closing the gap between them and their cherished child. They knelt down on either side of Sarada.
"Aww, she couldn't choose between us!" Sakura cooed, her voice filled with love. "How sweet!" She leaned over and planted a kiss on Sarada's head.
"But towards the end, you saw she was coming over to me, right?" Sasuke pointed out.
"No," Sakura protested, a playful grin on her face. "She was heading back to the middle!"
