It’s 10pm. You’re hungry, and you don’t feel like making another quesadilla out of a block of funky cheese (seriously, just throw it out already). But you don’t have to drive somewhere - or even put on pants - to eat something good tonight. This guide has everything from burgers and excellent tacos to some of San Francisco and the East Bay’s best pizza, all available for delivery or takeout until at least 10pm - and as late as 2am.

The SoMa spot is selling their excellent Detroit-style pizza Monday to Saturday until 10pm for pick-up and delivery (order online, no walk-ins). They’re also making Nashville-style fried chicken sandwiches (including one that comes stuffed with hot Cheetos - in case your edibles kicked in) through their new side venture Hetchy’s Hots.

One of our favorite Mission pubs is serving excellent burgers and Pliny the Elders until 10:30pm, Thursday to Saturday (9pm on Sunday to Wednesday). They also have pretzel knots, pickle jars, charcuterie, and other snacks if your late-night appetite isn’t hasn’t reached “feed me now or I turn into a monster” status. Place an order online.

The Brazen Head $ $ $ $ French in Cow Hollow $$$$ 3166 Buchanan St Not

The unmarked Cow Hollow restaurant is doing takeout and delivery from 5-10pm nightly. They have burgers, steaks, fish filets, and other dishes that’ll make you want to curl up next to a fireplace - with a martini or a glass of wine in hand, both of which you can also get to-go.

In pre-quarantine days, we hit up Nizarios for a quick slice before going out in the Mission (followed by waking with a missing wallet). Now it’s where we go when we need a reliable cheese and pepperoni pie before midnight (they’re open until 11:30pm). Their Richmond location is also open for delivery-only, so you don’t have to worry about losing your wallet anymore.

Belcampo Meat Co. $$$$ 60 Morris Street, Suite 27

There’s only one thing that could make your night playing League of Legends better - meat. And Belcampo has a ton of it. The butcher shop and restaurant has burgers, chicken salads, duck fat fries, and even bone broth, all available for delivery until 12am on Saturday and Sunday.

El Gran Taco Loco $$$$ 4591 Mission St

You’ve been spending your late-night hours watching Money Heist. You need food, and something you can eat without having to pry your eyes away from the subtitles. The Outer Mission has tacos, tortas, and burritos available until 12am. Call 415-695-0621 to order.

Grubstake Diner $$$$ 1525 Pine St

The longstanding diner in Polk Gulch is open until midnight, so you can get grilled cheese, onion rings, burgers, salads, and sandwiches delivered. They have chocolate shakes and root beer floats, too, because late-night sweet tooth.

The Pizza Place on Noriega $ $ $ $ Pizza , Italian in Sunset $$$$ 3901 Noriega St Not

This casual spot in the Outer Sunset reminds us of the pizza of our ’90s suburban childhood in the best way possible. If you’re craving a vegan, pesto, or a Hawaiian pie, they’re making them to-go until 10pm on Friday and Saturday. Order online.

Taqueria Guadalajara $$$$ 4798 Mission St

It’s a well-known fact that San Franciscians need to eat a burrito a week or they turn into magic dust. Don’t let this happen to you - order from Taqueria Guadalajara. The Excelsior Mexican restaurant is making burritos and tacos until 11pm nightly. Call 415-469-5480 to order.

King's Thai Cuisine $ $ $ $ Thai in Richmond $$$$ 639 Clement St Not

One of our favorite spots for late-night pad thai after a night of bar-hopping is still open for takeout - until 10pm nightly. The Outer Richmond restaurant has curries, soups, and house specials to-go. Order some before getting sucked into Too Hot To Handle. Call 415-752-5198 to place an order.

Order delivery Tsing Tao $$$$ 1117 Fillmore St

Instead of making spaghetti with that can of tomatoes you’ve had since Crazy Town peaked, order at Tsing Tao 2. The Chinese restaurant near Alamo Square has potstickers, pork buns, fried chicken wings and noodles - a.k.a. the essential late-night food groups - until 1am. Call 415-409-8818 to place an order.

Chaat Corner $$$$ 320 3rd St

You lost track of time playing Animal Crossing for the fourth-straight night, and didn’t make dinner. Chaat Corner to the rescue. The Indian restaurant in SoMa has chaat, biryani, tandori, lamb, and more available for takeout and delivery until 12am every night. It’ll give you the fuel you need to find the money rock.

eAST BAY Tacos Mi Rancho $ $ $ $ Mexican in Merritt $$$$ 1434 1st Ave Not

The Mexican taco truck near Lake Merritt continues to be a late-night spot for al pastor tacos and super burritos that are as long as your forearm (they’re about 15 inches, assuming yours are around 15 inches). The cash-only spot is currently operating on reduced hours, but you can still get your taco fix until 1am every night. Call 510-395-1403 to order.

Koryo Sushi $$$$ 4390 Telegraph Ave

Our favorite late-night sushi spot in Temescal is open until 1am nightly (2am on weekends). And right now, they have everything you need to satisfy whatever craving you have for fish and fried things - $8.25 dynamite rolls, tempura, and the best gyoza in town.

Spices! 3 $$$$ 369 12th St

You forgot the whole-roast chicken in the oven after getting distracted by the drama on Love Island Australia. Now the chicken’s burnt and you need a back-up plan. The Sichuan restaurant in Downtown Oakland is serving kung-pao chicken, mapo tofu, and stir-fried noodles to-go. Call 510-625-8889 to order.

Saap Avenue $$$$ 4395 Piedmont Ave

One of our favorite places for noodle soups and curry, the Lao spot on Piedmont Ave. is open for takeout and delivery until 10pm on Friday and Saturday. They also have $10 margaritas and $8 highballs to go, along with their excellent papaya salad and kao piak.

Artichoke Basille's Pizza $$$$ 2590 Durant Ave

There’s a good chance that whatever you’re craving late at night involves something cheesy. Luckily, the New York pizza chain near the Cal campus is still cranking out their artichoke, crab, and cheese pizzas (with the extra-long slices) until 2am. Call 510-705-1266 to order. The Oakland location on Telegraph Ave. is also open until 11am.

Order delivery Monkey King Pub & Grub $$$$ 1315 Park St

You can still have big portions of kimchi fried rice, mongolian beef chow mein, and dry fried ribs. Perfect for both a late-night dinner and leftovers the next day. They have takeout and delivery available until 11pm Sunday to Thursday, and 11:30pm on Friday and Saturday.

JASON NEWSTED Looks Back On His Time In METALLICA: 'The Band Was The Real Deal'

In a brand new interview with myPalmBeachPost focusing primarily on his "Rawk - The Art of Jason Newsted" art exhibition, former METALLICA bassist Jason Newsted reflected upon his decade and a half with the San Franciscian heavy metal giants, beginning in 1986 and ending in 2001. "The band was the real deal. There were no weak links," Newsted said of former bandmates Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett. "We were four people, who were the faces of [the band], but there were 4,000 people who helped us do that show, from the crew, to the venues, to a guy in Timbuktu selling posters. We took it seriously. If we were supposed to go on at 8:01, we were there at 8:01." Newsted, who was born in Battle Creek, and grew up in the town of Niles, Michigan, said that touring was a revelation and an education. "Lars Ulrich had traveled around and knew about Europe. I was, like, 'I know where Kansas is!' he said, laughing. "We would play these places where like UB40 and Diana Ross had played, and there were these kids who knew you from a copy of a copy of a cassette, in a METALLICA T-shirt that cost six weeks' wages." "Rawk – The Art Of Jason Newsted" will be on display at the Cultural Council galleries in Lake Worth, Florida December 1 – February 3. Jason left METALLICA back in 2001, but was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, along with Ulrich, Hetfield, Hammett, and the man who replaced him, bassist Robert Trujillo, in 2009. Nearly four years ago, Jason shelved NEWSTED, the heavy metal project he operated between 2012 and 2014, saying that it cost him "an awful lot of money — hundreds of thousands of dollars."
