From Paris to Berlin Part 5: Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008)
In today's review, I find drama and music in the economy of our bleak future. As I attempt a positive review of the alt-rocking musical: Repo! The Genetic Opera #AlexaVega

Musicals: you typically either love them or hate them, though there have been many over time that can probably elicit both responses. Our Italian Christmas Memories
There’s something so special about heritage based movies. Now don’t get me wrong, same is said about generational family businesses, but I love being thrown in and learning something new. While this movie was primary focused on the one recipe, it seemingly still gave a nice nod. The biggest topic of this movie was heartbreaking but so important to portray. From my viewpoint, as someone who’s never had to experience Alzheimer's within my family, I thought the viewpoints on it was really great. Plus seeing the family all have their own personal stories and growth added more depth to the story. Even with the slower pace of the movie, it all still flowed really well together. All the romances were cute. Ella and Natalie were adorable. RJ and Monica were sweet. Oddly enough Anna and Dr. Greg I was the least interested in, but they were still a nice pair. Now there wasn’t full on Christmas vibes like we usually see but I actually didn’t mind the more subtle and lighter holiday vibes with this one. Actor wise, everyone was wonderful. It was cool to see Sarah back in another leading role. Beau Bridges....is thee Beau Bridges, enough said there. Everyone in the cast was solid and had great chemistry together.
Rating: 3 - While I don’t think I’d watch again it doesn’t take away the fact that it’s a beautiful holiday story and deserves a watch.
