Went to my mom’s grave. It was the 9th anniversary of her passing away on the regular calendar. (Again, it was on the 9th of Iyar on the Jewish calendar, which was a while ago.) Might as well visit. Didn’t go last year, because of all the cancer stuff (radiation and such) and still was recovering from my broken right shoulder. There were more hikers than I expected hiking the trail near it. Lots of birds singing away, too. I thought it’d be raining when we got there, but it wasn’t. It was nice and sunny.
After that we went to Kachai Thai Kitchen. They recently opened up with allowing dining-in. For a long time they were only doing take-out. I think Mom would have loved that place if it had been around when she was with us. I got their chicken satay as an appetizer, and their garlic chicken as an entree. It was all very good. I had half of the satay, and tried to eat half of the garlic chicken, but ended up eating a little less. It was a lot of food. It’ll make for a great breakfast and lunch. I was going to have the banana rice cake thing for dessert, but they didn’t have it. Sadness. Instead, I had a cookie from home.
