Animal Crossing Fish Dish Friday - #15
Brought to you by a marine biologist that knows you can do this...
CLICK HERE FOR THE AC FISH EXPLAINED MASTERPOST!
Sautéed Olive Flounder
In ACNH: 1. Catch an Olive Flounder
2. Cook at the stove with 1x Olive Flounder and 1x Skinny Mushroom
In Real Life: from France
Fish of Choice: Really, any flaky white fish will do, so that's really any thick flounder species to gadids like cod or haddock. If you're inland, may I suggest catfish? Go with what you like!
Other Ingredients:
Seasonings to taste - examples: sea salt, black pepper, dill, lemon, garlic, parsley
Olive Oil or Butter
(The ACNH dish sautés mushrooms alongside the fish - if you like mushrooms, put them in!)
Get the recipe and serve with rice and salad.
Sauté is just a way to cook something, as most "cooking styles" are. To sauté simply means to fry or just cook something with a fat, like butter or oil. If you cook a bunch, you've probably done it before without knowing it had a special name.
You should cook stuff in whatever way you like it. As a reminder, most non-baking recipes are more like guides than hard-and-fast rules. Experiment. Add your favorite seasonings. Use margarine instead of butter.
Basically, feel free to fuck around and find out. You never know - you could make something that you make on the regular.
And for those who think they're terrible at cooking and could burn water - listen. It takes practice. Will you make dinners that are less than fantastic? Yeah. You will a lot...but I believe if you keep getting back on the horse, eventually, you won't fall off anymore.
And there you have it. Bon appetite!

SEAFOOD MEDLEY
Today he wanted a treat,
For lunch something different to eat….
In shell mussels with
All the scallops they give,
These miniature scallops are neat.
–
With shrimp and calamari rings
And tiny tentacle things….
Took minutes to thaw,
Cook and into the maw
The hardest chew those tentacle things!
