“Velma is a lesbian in this new Scooby Doo”
I don’t know how to tell you this, but she’s been a lesbian in every single Scooby Doo ever made

So I’ve been watching Mystery Incorporated
[ID: An edited video clip from Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated, first showing Fred standing on a dark street under a street lamp as he says determinedly to himself:
"I'm tired of being afraid. I have feelings, world, for traps, and Daphne! I'm a guy no more."
As Fred says, "Guy no more", the nonbinary flag fades in and out across the screen, with stripes of yellow, white, purple, and black.
Fred runs off, and the scene changes so he is talking to Daphne, saying seriously:
"I need to tell you something, and I need you to listen." He puts his hands on Daphne's shoulders and says happily, "I'm not a guy anymore."
Daphne asks, confused, "What?"
The scene changes again, with Fred looking sad, saying,
"But I'm also not gonna hide the fact that I have feelings for traps, and you."
Daphne smiles at Fred as he continues:
"Call me a non-man if you want." while the nonbinary flag fades in and out again. Fred looks away, and continues, "A caring…un-guy?" The flag fades in and out again. "Whatever the street slang is." The definition of Nonbinary fades in, reading:
"Nonbinary:
Adjective
adjective: non-binary; adjective: nonbinary
1. not relating to, composed of, or involving just two things. "Aristotelian ontology is nonbinary on the second level in that it allows for degrees of being"
2. denoting, having, or relating to a gender identity that does not conform to traditional binary beliefs about gender, which indicate that all individuals are exclusively either male or female. "the novelist identifies as nonbinary""
The video ends.
End ID.]

The Velma show: we are going to be a gritty and more adult animated Scooby Doo! We are completely changing the formula!
Happy Halloween Scooby Doo (2020), Scoobynatrual (2018), Scooby-Doo mystery Incorporated (2010), Scooby-Doo zombie Island (1998):

With the end of TOH not only capping off Disney's "loose Trilogy" with Gravity Falls, & Amphibia, it pretty much marks the end of this Golden Age of Original Children's Cartoons with Heavy syndicated storylines that started back with Adventure Time. While I don't discredit show that aren't syndicated stories or even the "brand cartoons" Like Star Wars, Transformers, or TMNT there was something magical about seeing people come up with original tales from stuff they were big fans & grew up on to create a whole era that made it cool for adults to have these theories, Excellent fanart, & to be something more then what we were used to in our youths.
I can only hope I'm wrong & one day we'll see another TOH or Steven Universe or Kipo, or Centaurworld, or Adventure Time, or Regular Show, or etc. But with recent events it leaves me less enthused. But I'll still cherish that the 2010's to the early 2020's was this marvelous & revolutionary age for TV animation.

so apparently in the new scooby doo (animated/direct to video/streaming) movie Velma is pretty blatantly gay over a woman throughout the whole movie.  Don’t know much else because the movie isnt’ out yet and I just saw clips, but damn it is like so blatant.  Hell I don’t think blatant is the right word because they outright talk about Velma having a crush on her.  It’s not subtext or background pause the video to gather evidence. Dialogue, Velma getting hot and bothered as much as she can in a kids movie, flirting, out right saying the woman is her type.  (she’s a gorgeous nerd who is confidence, sassy, and apparently not completely lawful so I apparently have the same type)
Oh and the gang knows and teases her about her crush, which is also really nice to see.  Yeah it’s nice to have Velma confirmed to be a lesbian in on screen in text not subtext, but it’s also no just her having a crush on a random hot woman and it being a running gag.  It has plot relevence and her friends are not only aware and cool with it, they are doing their best to help her out.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN MATTHEW? YOU CANT JUST SAY THESE THINGS, MY LITTLE AUTISTIC BRAIN CANT HANDLE IT. IM GOING TO LOSE MY MIND

Anyways Spencer doesn’t cleanly fit into any singular role of Mystery Inc. the best way to describe him would be some amalgamation between Shaggy and Velma.
I am in the midst of my yearly Criminal Minds hyperfixation and Scooby Doo has been my favorite thing since I was a baby so all the neurons are firing

I actually really like the idea of a Scooby Doo prequel centered around the Mystery Gang before they became friends.
Velma is your typical nerd who's interested in true crime. She started off solving small mysteries around her neighborhood, like where someone's missing cat went or who stole someone's bike. Then, some sort of really big mystery happens that the police completely overlook. Maybe students are ending up dead or missing or something like that.
She goes to the same school as Fred, Daphne, and Shaggy, but never talked to them due to personal assumptions. Fred is a popular jock, and a lot of his teammates bully Velma and force her to do their homework for them, so she doesn't trust him either. Daphne is a pretty rich girl who hangs out with a group of mean girls who also make fun of girls like Velma. Even though Fred's group and Daphne's group overlap, the two of them have never really spoken to one another before. Then, there's Shaggy who always shows up to school late, never knows the answer to teachers' questions, and sleeps through half of his classes.
Eventually, one of Daphne's friends get kidnapped. So, one night, she sneaks into the school to find some clues at the same time as Velma. Fred's there because he forgot his uniform, and Shaggy just likes hanging out at the school to do his homework in peace and quiet. They all team up for a while until security gets involved, and Fred helps them into a speedy getaway as the only one with his driver's license.
With Fred driving them home, the group decides to at least have a temporary team-up. Daphne and Velma have a shared goal, Fred likes having friends for the first time in forever, and Shaggy doesn't want to be the odd man out.
They get closer as they solve the mystery together. Fred isn't a jerk, and is super sweet and amazing at building all sorts of things, especially traps. Shaggy always brings the gang food he made, and eventually introduces them to his talking dog who may or may not be immortal. Daphne invites everyone to her house for sleepovers, helps Velma explore her style in a way that's still comfortable to her, and reveals her endless knowledge about every single person in the entire town.
The mystery gets solved, and the four stays friends. The End :)

Now that the show that Velma is officially over, here’s a list of animated shows that are for younger audiences which are ten times more mature than Velma

...I’m not kidding about those last two.
And the crazy thing is, I KNOW I’m missing a bunch...Feel free to add more for those who could use a pallet cleanser as well.
(Edit: Changed the title because people kept asking about it)

With Scooby Doo trending I am here to remind everyone of the masterpiece that is Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated.
I haven't seen Velma but if you want a more edgy carton of scooby doo this is the show for you
You want Himbo Fred? Got it. Want the gang to actually like each other with the found family trope? Got it. Want the characters to be likable? Got it. Not to mention all the implied and off-screen death. Highly recommended, please watch you won't be disappointed,
